I had the same issue with Tiana disappearing. I bought Coco's Stage Showstopper from the premium shop and used it and Tiana showed up for the selfie! Not sure if it will work on other platforms but maybe worth a try if you have the moonstones to get the stage 😊

Edit: she eventually popped up in her house on the map, so I was able to spawn her by going in and out. Hopefully she wont disappear again when i'm no longer hanging out with her..

Issue: Some NPC’s, if not all, disappear from the map. Toggling on and off their icons works, it shows them in their houses but when visiting, they are nowhere to be found. It happened with Wall-e, Tiana, Simba, Merlin, Moana. Restarting the game fixes and resets them, but the issue persists.

Issue: Characters just disappearing from my map after visiting them in their houses. I’ve had it happened to almost all characters in the Valley. They’re literally nowhere to be found.
The way I’ve been able to do this without restarting the game is going to eternity isle and back the the valley again and it fixes the issue. But this won’t work if you don’t have the DLC. Not sure if going to a realm temporarily fixes this either. But that’s the only roundabout way I found that helps me.. but it’s annoying to do it every-time when the characters are supposed to be where they are.
This has been an issue for awhile, not just after the new update. It becomes more teadious when I need to hang out, give gifts out or talk to them for the star path.

Found a solution that worked for me, idk if i will work for everyone but its worth a try. I took a buddy along with me and went in and out of Tiana's house and she finally appeared!! Hope this helps someone else too! 🙂

I have tried removing and adding her back via the map, going to the Isle and back, and entering and exiting her house several times. Edit: opened my game up at 2:30 am and Tiana was back. Will try to check again and see if she goes missing during the same time period as before.

I can never find Jafar. He is always missing on the map no matter what I do. They only way I find him is if hes in the restaurant or the shop & ask him to follow me.
I personally have not had any issues with Tiana disappearing. But even though I hang out with Jafar I still can't get his lv 7 quest unlocked

Issue: characters keep disappearing. Starting with Tiana - placed her house and she was gone. It took her hours to appear on my valley again, nothing helped (relauching the game, toggling her on the map, entering her's and other's houses). After I launched the game today she was gone again for an hour or something.
Now other character also keep disappearing. Wall-e was shown to be in his house, empty when entered and completely gone from the map when I left the house. Toggling helped. Moana completely gone, toggling a few times showed her back in her house, it was empty when I entered and now she's gone from the map again.
Characters not being in their houses when shown they are has always been an issue but they would usually stand right in front of you when you left the house. It is crazy what is going on now, I spent ten minutes just trying to enable wall-e to give him a gift for the starpath duty.
Devs, at the very least acknowledge the problem on your trello board, many players are complaining about this and it seems like you're just ignoring it.

Literally the majority of the time when a character shows they are in their house, they are not there when you enter. About a third of the time they will be standing outside the door when you leave. Sometimes banishing them and adding them back to the map resets them into their house, but again, about half the time I try this they show on the map as home, but are not there.

Here on my end characters such as Stitch appear in his home or at Scrooge or Chez Remy etc. but they don't appear on the inside NOR outside. Completely vanished Stitch and he does not appear in Eternity Isle either.
Thought it was just me at first but because I said 'here on my end' as first words of the report, I now know that others have been having this issue with other characters as well

I’ve gone in and out of the house several times and the character was simply not showing up. This happened with Ariel and Moana who both were in their newest DreamStyles. Once I changed the Pink Dress Ariel and the Formal Moana outfits back to their default outfit (Ariel to her default walking outfit) they appeared normally when entering/exiting their house. I don’t know if it was a coincidence or not

Issue: When Wall-E and Eve are talking to each other randomly in my valley, Wall-E will try to give Eve a plant, but the image that pops up is a white box that says “2x2” and it shows Wall-E being -1 of that item and Even gaining +1 of that item. I’m guessing it’s supposed to be a plant.

Issue: when asking to buy furniture from Scrooge, the game locks controls without displaying any furniture and a blank coin icon appears at the bottom right. This makes players force close the game but the problem persists.

Tiana missing
I waited a while before placing down Tiana's house, only for her to show up in the Valley before I placed it. I could talk to her like a normal NPC. Then I placed her house and the next time I opened the game she was gone. I haven't found her on either island for a couple of days now.

(edit) I think I know how this was caused. Based on his position on the map when I used the well to go to the castle, I think he was fishing in the Dunes. I think it kept his previous animation when it teleported him to the lab. I don't know much about coding, but perhaps a fix would be making it so that when NPCs are teleported into a location it resets their current animation?

When I see an NPC in their home, if I enter the home, invariably the home is empty. If I exit and check the map again, it still shows the NPC is in the house. When I re-enter, then the NPC is there.

Everytime I complete a friend quest there's a very long pause before I am able to move. Talking and giving gifts seem fine. Only happens when doing the quests. (I had a backlog of quests so I was getting through them so I'm not sure if this was a problem before, but it is now).

I am having a recurring issue where the map shows a character in their house but when I go inside they are not there. The map will still show them inside when I exit. It's usually after the third time entering their house that they appear. It's happening with all different characters. Playing on switch.

Issue: NPCs acting as brick walls. This has been an ongoing issue for a long time now, but it's getting extremely frustrating when at least one NPC ends up blocking your way to get to somewhere you need to go, or, keeping you stuck in a house, or worse, keeping you stuck in the front of your house and unable to go past either of them. And while yes, I can always just rearrange the front of my house, I should NOT HAVE to do that to get past an NPC.

Issue: Characters are still disappearing from the map. This week’s Dreamsnap challenge has been impossible because Tiana is constantly missing and I NEED her in my Dreamsnap. Entering/exiting her house multiple times doesn’t help. Restarting my game multiple times hasn’t helped. And it’s not just Tiana this happens to, it happens to multiple NPCs. This happens a LOT when I need a character for a quest and even if they were on the map earlier, getting a quest to talk to them makes them disappear.

Oswald spawned in this spot when I entered his house, up on the stage is the only angle where I could talk to him, if I try in front of the plants on the main floor the option doesn't appear. Y'all should probably disallow that spot for him to spawn.

No screenshot or video. I unlocked Tiana, finished the quest where I gave her the book and now she's just gone despite being shown on the map. I've tried entering & exiting her house, moving the house to Eternity Isle and back., etc. She shows as being in the village but can't be found. She's just gone. I can't level up friendship with a missing NPC. I also cannot complete the star path because I can't have conversations with someone who is missing. This has also happened with Vanellope, Minnie, and Daisy lately but Tiana never reappears and the others do.

Issue: I'm not even sure if it's an NPC issue but I heard the "giving" sound effect (when an NPC gives you or you give an NPC an item) and a large pop up saying "2x2" in white speech bubble and a red "-1" next to the bubble. I was in the Forgotten Lands not near any NPCs or having an NPC hang out with me. The bubble was near the upper edge of the trees in the center in the screenshot.

Issue: Tiana, Mushu and Mulan are disappearing from the valley. When I go to the map I can see the characters in their houses, however when I go to their houses no one is there. I then search my entire valley for them but they are nowhere to be found even though they are visible on the map. I have tried to toggle their icons on and off on the map and go in and out of their houses multiple times but this doesn't work and if it does it only works very rarely. Sometimes I am waiting more then an hour for them to reappear in the valley.
