Issue (Include Error Codes): Crash to desktop when fishing (always when tossed into the circle, before the minigame starts). Shows a white popup with a red exclamation mark, no text, and CTD within a second. Both on blue circles as well as white (but using a potion, so it turned orange).

This seems to have been resolved after manually updating BIOS, installing newest chip drivers, and reinstalling GPU drivers, so it's basically tied to one of those. Mentioning this in case it helps others as well. Did not have this issue before the update, have played a few hours before the update came out.

I haven't been able to play for months because of the crashes. I was never able to finish the previous Starpath that I PAID FOR because of them. I downloaded the update, finally hopeful. I open the game, get excited about what's on the Starpath and walk around for 3 whole minutes trying to do my first starpath duty and boom: crash out of nowhere.
I. Give. Up.
This is embarrassing at this point. I have never in all my years played a live service game that consistently has issues this bad, for so long.
I'm uninstalling this game and I will never touch another Gameloft title ever again.

It is getting annoying. I’m crashing more than ever on pc. Like legit I boot in and it immediately crashes repeatedly. I’ve had to have crashed like ten times in the last 15 mins.

Unable to get a screenshot as it pops up and crashes instantly and disappears. Extremely annoying when I want to progress on the star path I have paid for 🙃

Notes: I have DDV installed on a SSD (sanDisk), none of my other games have this issue (including The Sims 3 which is NOTORIOS for lag), I have attempted clean installing DDV and it helped a little bit for a day. It has since gotten worse

Issue: Game fails to load and remains stuck on loading screen

After I messed up unlocking a Steam achievement by completing the task on the Switch before carrying the Cloud Save over to do it on Steam, I tried to reload the local save to fix it, but the game remains stuck on the loading screen and doesn't fully boot up. The progress bar doesn't even move and remains stuck around 40% loaded.

I don't know if it is because I haven't played since earlier this year, by several months, or I did not have the Rift in Time expansion. I have the DLC now, but it is still happening. How am I to finish anything if the game won't load up, especially achievements?

Issue: Hello, just unlocked the forgotten lands and in the intro cut scene my screen went black with just music. I cannot skip, and waited 20 mins to see if it would do anything. Now when ever i reload into my save (i can get to the main menu after relaunching the game) it typically crashes instantly or sometimes takes me to a black screen.

Tried changing some video settings i read about on reddit that worked for some ppl, no change for me.

Picture: it either crashes so fast, or its a black screen.

Issue: Game crashes within 5 minutes of opening and playing. Crash is too quick to see an error code.
Have changed setting on the game, my PC, etc. Has been happening for weeks now, I was told this would be fixed with this update and for the first two days it was great, so I used moonstones for the premium star path only to now not be able to complete one task before it crashes.

Game fails to load up/Remains stuck at 40% on loading screen
I've repeatedly tried to boot the game back up on Steam when I needed to redo a Dreamlight milestone I accidentally completed on the Switch version while working on the Inside Out 2 memories, and it keeps getting stuck on the loading screen and never finishes.

I wanted to redo the "Collect Star Coins" because I finished it on the Switch, but feared it cost me the "Banker" achievement on the Steam version should the progress carry over on the Cloud Save and not register, but when I tried to launch the game recently on Steam, it won't load up. It remains stuck on the loading screen with the progress bar stuck around 40%. How am I to still get those Steam achievements I still need if the game won't load up so I can lock them in?

Issue: Random crashing to desktop. Happens at least 3+ daily. Not a hardware problem on my end as I can play Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail on max settings even with their new graphics update without a single crash on their end.

I can't find a singular source for the crashing. Picking up things, gliding, cooking, walking, talking, any of these simple things can potentially cause a crash to desktop. I have to train myself to manually save every few minutes just in case it crashes and lose progress.

Issue: Crashes after clicking continue on the menu and loads half way on the loading screen. If I do get into the game on occasion it always crashes mid doing anything for 2 minutes. Then white box appears with exclamation mark. I knoiw its not a hardware issue since I run other games fine, I have all drivers up to date as well. Can't join or play it anymore 😦

Issue: Basically same as above. My game has never crashed in the couple years that I've been playing. But suddenly today, my game crashes within a couple minutes of playing. As MissSherbet mentioned above, the warning message followed by game closing happens too quickly to get a screenshot.

Issue: Game Freezes when trying to harvest things sometimes

So this has been a problem that's happened a couple times and I'm gonna be honest I don't know if this is the right thread. But I didn't see a thread specifically for this issue. And I think it technically counts as a crash because the only fix I have found is hard closing the game using task manager or talking to a villager that walks by. Its happened both in the valley and on the isle. But I go to harvest an item, like the majestea in front of me but then it freezes me in place and does nothing. I can't open any of my menus, or switch my items in my hand. But I can turn on gliding and go nowhere. Most of the time it just leaves me frozen in place. Its like the path routing got interrupted and caused it to glitch me in place.

This only started happening in the last couple months with my first incident in May after the Oswald/Daisy Update, I never had this issue before. The first time I noticed was when I was using multiplayer for the first time, and I was frozen in place, but once my friend entered my valley it unfroze me, but that fix would only work if I was in the valley and had my multiplayer turned on and someone that could come over. I'd also like to note that the last few times this happened the item was not partially spawned in a tree it was just an oregano planet or a softwood pile. Not spawned near or under anything, so I know its probably not the fact that its spawned partially in the tree here, but who knows.

And I can't help but wonder if its similar to the glitch from early access where characters would get stuck on mining rocks, mid action of grabbing their drop, usually I'd have to push them put of the way and it would fix the routing and they'd be fine, so I wonder if its similar.

after the Disney parks event update i was getting crashes every 2-3 hours for every gaming session. now the crashes are every 5-10min. the game is unplayable right now for me which is a huge disappointment given that we're spending almost $15 for one item in the premium shop

I've verified my game files twice, restarted steam, done literally everything I've thought of and I'm still crashing Angry Can't get 10 minutes into the game before I crash for no reason!!! It's always the white box with the DDV Logo and a red exclamation point. Absolutely ridiculous and extremely irritating. I've never had crashing issues like this before until I started playing again for the Mulan update. Game is literally unplayable.

It is unplayable, I just want to complete the star path, will there be moonstone reimbursement as I payed for premium star path and this is getting ridiculous? I have tried the "fixes" as above. White box with ddlv logo and red exclamation point. Impossible to do quests or star path. I hope there is a fix soon as it is unplayable at this point. In the last thirty minutes, I've crashed at least ten times with the longest stretch in the game being about 30 seconds. I reboot, crash, rinse, and repeat.

Same exact problem since the hotfix dropped for the recent update with Mulan. Even if I save every 2 seconds, it crashes. It just crashed on me in the process of saving. Absolutely unplayable. Thankfully I was grinding the starpath when it first dropped and was able to finish it, otherwise there is no way I would be able to in this current state. I hope there is some compensation, it has been weeks for me and other players.

The paths disappear by themselves. I restart the computer and the paths appear and disappear on their own.

Unable to decorate my valley unless I exit every two to five minutes, save my two or three furniture items I placed down, then enter furniture mode again to put down another two or three items. Issue : Since yesterday (07-15) the game makes my pc shut down a few minutes next I launched it. Yesterday everything was going normally, but today its impossible to play : my pc shutting down instantly when I launch the game. I worry because I cant play and finish the Inside Out animals quests that end tomorrow...

Issue: Game crashes within a few minutes of launching. We have been doing this for more than two to three months and they still don't pay any attention. Unable to play at all. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE WE CANT PLAY THE GAME and we are losing all the rewards and events that you prefer to prioritise before fixing the game.

Issue: On eternity isle game crashes every few minutes, sometimes this is a ‘soft’ crash and it brings up an error code and takes me back to the steam login page, other times it is a ‘hard’ crash where my entire PC stops working and needs turned off and back on.
When I’m not on eternity isle, the crashes are much less often, approx every 30/40 minutes so I’m only going to eternity isle when I absolutely have to. Very frustrating as I paid for an expansion which is unplayable.
If the crashes on the main game are not resolved then I’m going to stop playing. Which is very sad as I have 700 hours play time.

Issue: Game crashes every time I enter furniture mode. Unable to decorate my valley unless I exit every two to five minutes, save my two or three furniture items I placed down, then enter furniture mode again to put down another two or three items. Unplayable, as I keep losing all my decorating progress. :C Reposting this because, there IS no error code when this crash happens, it just freezes and cuts to desktop. Asking for error codes for crashes is a stupid idea. Most CTD don't have them.

And I'm putting this game down until y'all actually come out with a REAL fix. Locking the cursor on consoles is NOT a fix. Especially not for PC. You really need to find the source of the issue and ACTUALLY fix it. Also, unlock cursors on consoles. People can't reach the edges of their biomes. Do better.

Game continues to crash when playing, have had this problem since a few days after new update. Sometimes game crashes while loading in, other times it crashes after a minute, on a rare occasion I can play for a few hours before it crashes. Starting to really annoy me as I got the star path but can’t even complete it as can’t load in to do so 🙃

Issue: still getting consistent and constant crashes within 2 minutes of booting the game. Sometimes it crashes within seconds of spawning in, other times after a minute. But always within that time frame. Game is completely unplayable at this point and has been since the Friendship Festival with no improvements between then and now. Unable to work on the star path or any other quests or storylines because of this.

Issue: Game crashes within 20-30 seconds of starting. I tried updating graphics card, changed some settings, and even uninstalled and re-installed the game. There has been no fixes yet. This issue I believe started after the most recent update. There is no error code when it crashes, a steam page opens up for half a second and it just completely closes the application.

Issue: game keeps crashing, sometimes it is more instant and sometimes it takes a few minutes. I can barely play before it crashes and I lose my progress. It is getting worse every passing day. I can't see a crashing error, it just closes suddenly.

Issue: In Mulan's Realm, during first quest with Mushu "A New Recruit". Game lagged while I tried to glide around the camp & then crashed. It did NOT ask for a recovery (local or cloud save) when I logged back on. The quest stayed but did not retain what I had already completed.

Never have had a crash prior to this since early access

I might have reported this before, but I'll report it again:
Platform: Steam/PC
Issue: Game freezes/crashes while loading. Loading bar remains stuck around 40% loaded.

Been happening to me repeatedly when I tried to reverse collecting a Dreamlight task that I wanted to collect on the Steam version for a Steam achievement when I collected it by accident on the Switch version before carrying the Cloud Save over. Now I can't boot up the game worth squat to fix another mistake with another Steam-related achievement I accidentally finished on the Switch without losing too much progress since the last time I loaded the Cloud Save up earlier this year, even before the Eggstravaganza and Disney Parks Fest events.

How am I to get the achievements without losing access to them by carrying the completed tasks over from the Switch via the Cloud Save if the game won't even load up? Either fix this soon or players are going to start having to find another platform to play the game on to not miss out on Star Paths and other events.

Issue: lagging so bad but only on eternity isle

I got the update on realease and never had an issue with lag before both in the DlC and regualr valley. But lately with the same pc, its starting to lag so bad that I cant barely move. I tried to de and reinstall and unlinked my cloud save. It did work for one play session but now I'm back to the constant lag, and I cant fix it.

Any ideas?

Screenshot/Video: Can't even supply a video. Today, all I did was finally start decorating my plaza. Piece by piece as people suggested. Literally did one TINY corner with 6 items and now the game is repeatedly crashing to the point that just opening it as soon as I get into the game after load it immediately crashes. I'm trying an uninstall and reinstall now, but I'm not hopeful. As mentioned by another above: the message that flashes up instant closes and is too fast to screenshot.

Issue (Include Error Codes): My game crashed three times in a row on launch, no error codes produced. First time I was trying to look at the premium shop, second time I was accepting items from my mailbox, third time was out of nowhere. All within 3 minutes of loading into my game. I have not played in a few weeks, but my game was fine before and I was playing with very minimal crashes

Issue: Gave Jack a gift, he levelled up, then when the game would normally kick me back into gameplay I'm stuck in the Level Up camera but with normal UI. I can't move or press any buttons. Jack is walking around.
If it matters, I'm hanging out with Maui ?

Platform: PC/Epic Issue: Game crashes after a few minutes every time I load it up. It will last a while if I am in the player house, but otherwise it crashes within 5 minutes of gameplay. Cannot finish any events or play the game. No error codes, the game just closes. I may briefly see the DDLV logo with an exclamation mark but it goes quickly.

Sometimes I have to log in 3x because the first 2 times I get less than 5 mins and it crashes on me. I didn't start having this issue until I got past 3k furniture and the higher I go the more it crashes. I'm almost to 6k furniture.

I have still been unable to play the game since the Daisy update. It's not an issue with my PC because I have instead been running Palworld, Hogwarts Legacy, and Baulder's Gate since I can't play Dreamlight Valley. My PC has no problem running those games for hours on end but DV crashes and closes itself out every 5+ mins. I don't want to hear about a corrupted game. It played fine for the first year I had the game and now it's unplayable. Is this new update going to fix it or did I just waste $60.

I have the same issue. I was able to run the game on max quality before and have no issues running other games (some of the same ones you've mentioned) and yet cannot play for more than 5 minutes without it crashing. It's really disappointing
