I'm partial to Everafter for that castle, cause colors blend really nice
Mythopia is nice, if you do choice that one I would then go with first part you unlock (can't remember name off top of head) because the yellow and pink flower petals do look nice with that castle

It looks like you already have a bit of the path that I would have probably suggested trying - a lot of the paths that use gems have that kind of dance floor look to some extent. If you want to leave the grass I kind of like something natural for an outdoor festival feel between the different attractions, maybe even a simple dirt path that looks like it was worn from foot traffic rather than paved

For other ideas, maybe a snack bar!

Yes, that's a good plan, having a natural tone might help giving a festival vibe

I wanted to give paths as a form of direction, going towards each area, but don't completely fill the space

left side for me is a village square (similar to what I did for the Docks area of Eternity Isle) with Scrooge's Store, Remy's Restaurant (with outdoor seating this time 🙂 ) a fountain, Goofy's stall, a copy of Minnie's clock (the color scheme works better for that area; I gave the original to Tiana in the Glade), and there's a big, empty spot near the cliffs full of books and the path upwards that I still gotta figure out

right side is where my castle, its yard, my orchard, my garden, and my snippet traps are
I was very tempted to use the Kingdom of Corona castle skin for my house, but honestly, it just wasn't me
frankly, I have nothing against Rapunzel and Flynn, but Tangled was never a fave Disney movie of mine, and the style of the Corona castle just didn't suit me
I also wasn't interested in the new house skin, because it blended into the orange and brown background of the Bind too much, and I wanted a castle/palace, not a simple mansion
so my castle and its yard kinda stand out from all the orange and brown of the Bind 🥴
but I love it that way
plus, I get the seaside castle I've been wanting for a while 🙂

I put Mirabel's casita in the Wild Tangle on Eternity Isle. The jungle setting was perfect for her 🙂 Before I got that DLC, I had her living behind Scrooge's store, squeezed into the Plaza. Some people have put her in the Sunlit Plateau too.

Mirabel is in the Tangle for me too. back right corner where blue zircon spawns. Mulan is next to her in the bamboo zone.

Scrooge, idk.... it may be tall but i need daily access to the store to check for goodies so it's in my Plaza. i didn't fight the plaza theme and went all in with Daisy's shop and Remy's restaurant.

I took Scar away to the Sunlit Island Penitentiary, and the only villagers that actually live in my Sunlit Plateau are Simba, Nala, Pumbaa, and Timon. The Pride Rock house is over next to the watering hole, and I put a waterfall with flowers nearby as well. The area is mostly undeveloped, save for desert paths I built there, yellow torches, and a workshop area paired with Goofy's stand near the Vitalys Mines. 🤔 Eventually I might do some more stuff over there, if I can think of something fun to do with that biome... Scar's former living area now has a camping spot, with an orange tent, that rounded swimming pool, a picnic area, and an outdoor campfire stove.

This is the field. It extends back to the left where Simba and Nala are. then in the 2nd photo that's at the front left side overlooking the plaza and meadow. Buzz's RV used to be there but now he's in the Glade with Woody so it's too empty. Then where Scar is originally, I have my market which I will not change.

This makes sense! I haven’t changed too many of my biomes. I think the first time I realized I could actually move existing stuff around was when I was trying to bring in a character’s house, and it there was too much stuff in the way. It happened by chance in forest of valor, and I was like omg I can get rid of stuff?! Hahah. But I haven’t played around with things too much since then except adding things to the biomes.

I have a very big project I'm doing for the Ever After biome in my Vale
this pavement just looks beautiful against the blue and purple grass in the area
however, it's gonna take time to make this, so it'll take me a few months, and I'll do mining on Eternity Isle each day, and build a little bit each day
either that, or I'll just spend the week briefly visiting EI, mine Alexandrite, collect up a bit, and then on the weekends I'll make more pavement for Ever After

I defo agree crafting can be an ace option especially for lights but sometimes it’s gathering the resources to craft that get me but now I’ve finished the majority of my villagers quests especially Minnie’s I should be able to gather resources and stock up easier now so crafting will become a more viable option, I just need an easier and quicker way to get lots of sand and stone other than mining all the time and making lots of digging potions for the beach, cus if I’m being hokest the main thing that I’m struggling to craft is path because I like to use an obscene amount of path because I find it easier, (dont ask why I barely know myself) but sometimes crafting can just lead to me getting lazy and forgetting about it phahahaa. @fathom merlin I sometimes have that issue, but I’ve learned to just pay more attention to what my button says before I click! Also one of my biggest tips is to come at the chest sideways instead of straight on if that makes sense! I have found that most fish do not fit in the bubble, but I was thinking of just replacing the big one with the tiny ones and leaving them empty letting the bubble itself indicate water/fish

also using the elevated bubbles work better!

Does anyone have any advice in regards to decorating I’ve been playing the game for over a year and a half, and I’ve been terrified to make the valley my own because I’m under the impression that if you rearrange trees and certain things in the valley that you won’t be able to obtain those resources as easy I could be completely wrong, but I guess what I’m trying to say is is it OK if I rearrange trees or delete trees so that way I can finally be creative will I still be able to get wood and other resources if I need it ? is there a downside to making the valley your own ?

I've seen people put all the trees/flowers/bushes in each area in a group so that they can easily gather resources. But I don't know if there's a point where they're TOO close, like in Animal Crossing where if you shake a tree with flowers underneath it, the stuff from the tree will disappear 'into the flower' and isn't able to be picked up.

You only need a couple trees with a couple empty squares around them. :) If you have the vacuums from Eternity Isle, you don't even have to keep them accessible, because it will just suck up the wood from anywhere. Here's a sample guide for dark wood #1060657611546042458 message

But basically, no, as long as you don't delete every single tree in a biome (which will stop you from getting wood) or completely pave over the biome (which will make flowers and herbs spawn less or not at all because they need clear ground), there's no down side to making it your own :) It's actually helpful -- You can use your decorating to control the places where things spawn, and use small items to fill in inconvenient spots where things might fall

I actually try to bring everybody to the Valley because it's like a community, like I'm bringing them back home so they can be with everybody else. I only move them out if I have a good reason (Casita went to the jungle on EI, and Belle & Beast went to the Bind because she'd want to live in a library lol, Woody & Buzz on my theme park floating island).
I try to put everybody where they fit best, so Merida and Flynn I actually thought worked better in the Forest of Valor than in Storybook Vale, for instance. There's a whole little forest village set up there with Gaston and Anna's houses

I have a feeling you don't have Rift in Time because I don't see any of the stalls from EI here, but if you do, when I made a market that included Beast's greenhouse I included one of those large stalls nearby and piled all sorts of flower vases there, like he was also selling arrangements.

My preference would be to add more trees and make it look all natural (the things from Timon's first friendship quest make good additions), and use the Rocky Terrain or the Garden Stones (from SBV) to make a path to Pride Rock. And add some fireflies if you have them.

What kind of general rules are you looking for?
Rocks and the big clumps of vegetation from the expansions cover more ground while only counting as one item, but I'm sure you know that.
If you need to fill in small spaces behind decorations to stop things from spawning, the training fence (because fences are free) from Mulan works really well, because it's low down so it can be hidden and it looks natural enough if you can't hide it completely.
Flowering bushes look like they give full coverage even if you leave a space between them, so you don't have to use as many as you think to fill a space.

I use a lot of the same bushes in biomes to help with unique item limit
In the Frosted heights I removed all the trees that spawn sticks so I have no sticks dropped to mess with item limit.
I don't use lots of tiny shrubs or rocks
I use paths and fences behind buildings or other areas to stop things from growing since those don't contribute to item count.
But before you decorate I would try and befriend all critters and stock up on everything so later on its not difficult to find critters and stock up on resources.

The only thing to do really is place some plants or rocks (or other decor) to hide the ugly edges. I like using the big flower bushes from SBV or the pink plants from RIT because they cover a lot of space outside of the squares they're placed in

Hi! I do the same thing SilverKing mentioned! I place some flowers/bushes and line them with a little rock border! The bushes he recommended are perfect, I just play around with it until I like how it looks.. I hope this helps!

Any suggestions for making something feel like a professional, designed garden? Like a stately manor garden or botanical garden?
I fixed up half of my Meadow as a nice, semi-natural "park" sort of area, and I wanted the other half to feel more curated, but I can't quite get my head around it.

When I think of botanical gardens I think of hedges, mini maze, beautiful flowers, some botanical gardens in my area even have bamboo, critters like squirrels. So maybe the two base game hedges, square topiary if you have it, some benches, maybe gazebo, and just lots of trees with flowers around. Make sure it has a easy flow tho. Might even be cool to have Beasts flower stall in there as well.

But another idea that could work, would be something a bit rocky like hiking up a mountain. You wouldn't have as many trees, but you could use the clouds and a path through the dangerous rocks

okay I need your guys' opinions. Trying to decorate the valley more. I want to so something like this near the benches in peaceful meadows and possibly line the golden sidewalk/path with the trees. Thinking of changing the path to a plain stone brick path so it doesn't look gaudy but other than that is this a good start, do you guys like the idea of lining the road with more magnolias, or is it gonna be too much? I love these trees and I've seen other people do similar with the normal trees and want to try it myself. Different times of day for an idea if how it looks. I love how it is in the afternoon cause the trees almost look like they're glowing. Ill also likely widen the path so it doesn't feel too crowded. Any input is appreciated

I love how the trees make a sort of canopy over the bench! It would be interesting to see how it looks with other paths - I like the gold path in two of the pictures but I do see the concern with the shininess in the last one. I do feel like lining the path with more magnolias may be overload but you could always try it and see!
