After catching a fish in the ocean, my game crashed. (It had just woken from sleep mode, don't know if this is relevant)

How the crash occurred: When we try to download the update, the Switch locks up. Cannot move cursor around or do anything. Cannot download the game from eShop without locking up Switch.
Attempted solutions: Restart console (required hard restart after locking up); uninstall game and attempt to redownload from eShop (would appear back on Home screen with a download bar, but stayed at 0% and eventually locks up). Ensured enough space on SD card. Also uninstalled another game and redownloaded with no issues. Attempted multiple times in a row and hours apart throughout the day.
Solved: Hard turn-off console. Remove MicroSD card. Start console and download game. This makes the switch download it to the System Memory. Other games tested downloaded fine to MicroSD so not sure what the issue was, but this solved it.

How the crash occurred: Freezes on a black screen specifically when cooking the mermaid or Minnie cupcakes and only on ovens/stoves other than my home stove or in Chez Remy. Once you hit the + to start cooking, instead of going to the cut scene it just goes to a black screen. It doesn't seem to crash but the game won't come back on so I have to hard reset.
Haven't tried the other cupcakes only because it's a lot of time rebooting.
Interestingly, it puts the cupcakes in my inventory.

My game has crashed multiple times today, this is my first day of playing for a period of time since the update. It has crashed at various stages of gameplay, nothing specific seems to trigger it other than playing for at least an hour at a time. First crash was while gifting daisy, second was while harvesting a raspberry bush. The game also froze while serving a villager in the restaurant on the Valley and I had to manually restart the game.

Both Switch Consoles were working with no crashes before the update. After the Update Main Console logged in and the 1st profile had no issues. Cloud/ saved, returned to the titled screen and than to Home on the Switch. 2nd profile logged in for 10 minutes, cloud/saved and when trying to the title screen it closed with an Error message. 2nd console and the same thing happened. Profile 1 was fine Profile 2 got the error message. Profile 3 was fine and Profile 4 got the error message.

Post-hotfix: game still crashing as much as before. Crashes every 45-60mins. Game crashes no matter how many "hot-fixes" are deployed. Overall worse after update 11. I've never experienced a game that crashes, glitches, etc. as much as DDLV which is frustrating for a paid game.

Also takes twice as long to load the game as before update 11. at least 5 mins just to load the game. This wouldn't bother me as much if I didn't have to do it repeatedly after so many crashes.

How the crash occurred: randomly, sometimes entering a building, otherwise just out of the blue. Within a play session it can crash 4 times. Since the daisy duck update, before this it would crash rarely. It's gotten much more sluggish (music glitchy), and takes a long time to login but it's repeatedly crashing and I have to reopen the system. Today I played and managed to play for an hr before it crashed trying to enter Remy's restaurant, an improvement but still not okay (I did restart upon first entering because I heard glitch music).

How the crash occurred: 1) Attempted to talk to Ursula in her "Vanessa form. Game did that weird stallout for 5+ minutes where the only thing that works is the camera. 2) Twice crashed backing out. one which was going back to the Start-Up screen and the other when I actually was on the start up screen and went to close out the game completely.

I’ve played DDV since it launched and it has always crashed somewhat regularly, I even stopped playing for quite a while because it was so annoying and I got so tired of it that I lost interest in the game. Now it’s crashing even more often after the most recent update. It will happen at any time while doing just about anything - opening/closing menus, running around, completing tasks, etc. It’s getting so frustrating that I’m losing interest in the game again. A $100 game (Founder’s Edition + Rift in Time, and even more with Moonstone purchases) should not be this buggy. It is the single most buggy game I’ve ever played. Instead of updates with a bunch of new stuff (that doesn’t work), maybe the next few updates should just be focused on getting the game to actually work consistently for the majority of players. 😪

What I’ve noticing more is now whenever I (manually save & then) shut the game down via return to title screen, it pops up “An error has occurred”. All I’ve done in the 30mins playthrough just now was organise my storage boxes. Guess that angered it.
Overall it feels like ANY transition (enter a building, switching to/from Eternity Isle, inventory/furniture mode, Scramblecoin, etc.) will cause inevitable crash.

I am also experiencing tons of crashes since the latest "cupcake" update. Several times a day at least. The worst is when I will restart the game and it will crash as soon as it has finished loading, or very shortly thereafter (I usually get a glimpse of my home before it crashes). Restart again and it'll be fine the third or fourth time. Sometimes I'll restart, wait for it to load, it'll finish loading, I'll let it sit with the controller untouched, and then it'll crash just sitting there after 30 seconds or so.

The causes of the crash appear to be at best random (or possibly due to circumstances outside my control) so reprodution steps are irrelevant. I'm sure a stack trace would be useful if it could be captured, but I don't know if that has to be done manually or what (happy to do whatever would help the devs track this one down!)

The game stalls out/black screens on the Switch for me. It doesn't completely crash, but won't progress. There is no spinning star or other waiting icon. There also doesn't seem to be a pattern to it doing it, except possibly moving between zones and house/realms, and I did seem to have fewer issues on the DLC island. I played for a while Friday, Saturday and this morning, each time eventually encountering the same issue, and often sooner each time. Restarting fixed it, but only for a little bit. I am able to play this account on my PC, no issues.

I just cannot continue to play like this. There is no way I will have the chance to get the popcorn buckets and definitely no way to finish the star path. Whenever I do make progress on any task the game crashes and I lose it all. I have been playing for over a year and this is by far the worst it has ever been. I have cleared my switch memory, I try playing at times of day it might be less busy, I cannot do anything else myself to make this work. How the crash occured: trying to do the time ending quest with eve where you have to find the parts for the computer in the temple. Couldn't find the blueprint so saved and when I went to exit to the title screen it shut the game down I read online restarting the game should fix the blueprint missing issue but instead got my game completely closed down
