Issue: Game lags horribly and freezes constantly after cooking a meal.
It happens everywhere a stove is available for use, including Remy’s restaurant.
This issue has been happening since the last update and it’s still happening in this new update. 💔

Issue: I also lag horribly and freeze after cooking a meal. My cpu usage drops to 0% everytime I do this.
I got the game last week and it's been like this since day 1.
It was almost impossible to do the starting mission with Ursula since the cave had a cooking utensil, also I get this bug everytime I try to decorate in my house too.
I have an i9-13900k so it definitely has nothing to do with low specs.

I've tried cooking two of the new cupcake recipes and both times my screen went black and just stayed there. I could hear some game sound effects but nothing happened. Had to close the window through task manager. It seems to be getting stuck on the black screen that happens after you hit Cook and before it shows the item you created.

As other users stated, after cooking a meal (in my case was a fruit pie) the screen goes black and I had to force-close the game.

Issue: Freezes on a black screen specifically when cooking the mermaid or Minnie cupcakes and only on ovens/stoves other than my home stove or in Chez Remy. Once you hit the + to start cooking, instead of going to the cut scene it just goes to a black screen. It doesn't seem to crash but the game won't come back on so I have to hard reset.
Haven't tried the other cupcakes only because it's a lot of time rebooting.
Interestingly, it puts the cupcakes in my inventory.
To be clear, the issue doesn't happen when either cooking at home or Chez Remy but it happens on all other stoves.

Issue: screen goes black after attempting to cook the new cupcake recipes. When using a stove or remy’s stove in the restaurant, I can hear noises in the back ground but screen is black. I have to close and restart my game. I am however able to make the cupcakes with the auto cooker.

Issue: There is a problem with the priority of choosing ingredients for cooking when using the autofill function. I have few clams and garlic, for example, but the game will not use 120 other spices or squid, no, it will take exactly the last garlic/clam.

Issue: Sometimes when cooking the screen goes black when it should show the finished food. Can still hear the bubbling pot, but the only way to clear is force close the game.

Issue: I’m speed cooking right now and the screen has gone black quite a few times when I finish cooking different dishes. The game is still going because I can still hear it in the background but any sort of button pressing doesn’t register and nothing is happening. I keep having to close the game to get back to cooking as normal.

Issue: Game freezes completely when trying to cook a grilled veggie platter so I end up having to restart the whole game. So far most other things I can cook.

To cook the cupcakes be in your house or at Remy and you shouldn’t get the black screen. On the switch. It’s super lame, but if you try tomcook them anywhere else you’ll get that screen every time

Game froze momentarily after cooking Minnie Cupcakes at Mickey’s house. I cooked Epcot ones in Anna’s house and was fine so ymmv.

Issue: I know the black screen happens with the cupcakes, but I just had it happen with Mike's Gourmet Rot Dog for his level 4 quest. I had to quit the game to go back. I used the campfire cook top in the Sunlit Plateau.

Issue: I cooked all the cupcakes I was asked to in my home but no matter how many I gave out the quest givers are still asking me to cook them and hand them out. Nothing has counted.

You can add mint Boba tea to the items that freeze the game on Switch when cooking outside.

Issue: I've cooked up to 30 cupcakes of each of the 5 types (50 minnie ones) and I can't get rid of the purple quest icons over the relevant characters. I've obtained the World Kingdom map, but the character quests are still there

Issue : Black screen when trying to cook Minnie cupcakes. Incredibly frustrating to have this game crashing over and over again.

Issue: Unbearable lag after cooking indoors making it nearly impossible to move around indoors after completing recipes. Lag clears as soon as you leave whatever building you're in. Some minor lag issues indoors in general but cooking exacerbates it.

Issue: when cooking in Remy’s (valley or eternity isle) game becomes extremely laggy - exiting the restaurant and re-entering fixes the issue but is not great. Inconsistently happens inside my house as well
