**What is Multiplayer? ** Multiplayer is a feature that allows players to connect and play together. You can connect with friends via the Valley Visit Station , which grants players unique 6-digit codes.
What do I need to unlock Multiplayer? Below is a list of the pre-requisites in order to unlock Multiplayer:
__ Valley Visits__ quest complete: In order to unlock the Valley Visits station, one must have Vanellope unlocked and complete her Valley Visits! quest.
- In order to unlock Vanellope, the player must be player level 5 and have The Haunting of Dreamlight Valley quest from Scrooge complete. This quest will unlock Vanellope.
- 15 minutes after unlocking Vanellope, you will receive the Valley Visits! quest from her. This quest will grant you the Valley Visits station.

What can I do in Multiplayer?: Players can trade items, hunt for pixel shards, and visit eachother's stores & houses!
- Players are unable to use tools when in an active multiplayer session.
- To visit someone's store, the host MUST grant access inside.
- To do this, the host needs to interact with the store. The host will receive a pop-up message asking if they would like to take visitors inside. Choose the Yes option to have everyone come inside.
- NOTE: Visiting players are UNABLE to buy from the host's Scrooge catalog. The daily available stock on the showroom floor is the only items they are able to purchase.
- Once an item is purchased from the stock floor, it disappears for everyone.
Pixel Shards: A neat feature of Multiplayer is that players can hunt for pixel shards when hosting or visiting. Pixel shards can be used to craft some amazing items that will enhance your gameplay experience.
- Both the host and visitor should find the same amount of shards when looking for them in the valley. The shards you find are not visible to the other players, and vice versa.
- Glitchy Pixel Duplicate: When crafted, this item will create 10 shards that can be used to replace any missing crafting material.
- Pixelized Cooking Flame: When crafted and used, this item will allow a player to cook an additional meal when cooking. It is good for 5 uses, with the advanced version good for 12.
How to Connect: After placing the valley visit station, players can interact with it to receive a unique 6-digit code that they can provide to other players that wish to visit them.
- To connect to the host's valley, click on the Multiplayer tab on the main title screen under the Continue option. Input the code the host provides, and click Connect.
- Once you enter the code, you'll receive a pop-up message asking if you would like to connect to the player's valley. It should read like this: "You are about to connect to PLAYERNAME's valley in REGION. Do you wish to continue?" Select yes.
- Up to 4 visitors per valley.
- NOTE: Playstation users are unable to visit any other platforms aside from other Playstation players. Crossplay is NOT supported.
How to Leave a Multiplayer Session:
- Hosts: Interact with the Valley Visit station and choose the close the connection option. Closing your connection will remove all visitors from your valley.
- Visitors: Open the menu and select Return to title screen.
