I hung out with Merlin, then asked Jack to hang out. They were both following me for a bit. I tried dismissing Merlin and Jack stopped following me. Now Merlin won't go away and if I ask Jack to hang out he responds as if I'm dismissing him.

Issue: Villagers asking for DLC items as favorite gifts when I don't have the DLC. This makes my game progress slower (for example in the starpath quest of giving favorite gifts to Vanellope i can only do 1 item today). This items souldn't appear if you don't have the DLC.

Had to ask Jack like 20x to get him to hang out on Nintendo Switch. Also, I’m confused about characters asking for fave items that are on DLC when I haven’t bought DLC yet. This makes it seem like DLC is necessary to the game. Don’t think DLC items should even show up unless it’s purchased.

Issue : Jack responds to asking to hang out with goodbye messages and does not hang out. Worked alright before first friendship quest, then it became roughly a 1 in 4 chance he'd agree. After second friendship quest it's now maybe 1 in 8 or more to get him to hang out.

Issue - after placing the second Sunstone Rapunzel disappeared and I have not been able to locate her despite having a quest that says to talk to her.
Gaston has also disappeared after picking up his 3rd item to hint at the key.

Issue: On some NPCs (Ursula in Vanessa Skin and EVE so far), every time I give them items, they stay on the screen saying give or cancel after I have given the items to them I can hear the pings for items given but I can't continue the dialogue with them.

Issue: Acts as if you are dismissing him if you ask him to hang out when you are already hanging out with another NPC. I have found that if I say goodbye to the person I am hanging out with then give Jack a gift, he will hang out with me if I am not with someone else.

While completing Rapunzel's quest she disappeared and has not returned. She disappeared after I placed the second sun orb. She reappeared in Ancient Landing when I fished there.
Same occurrence with Gaston. He disappeared after I picked up the third item from his camp. He reappeared after I did some fishing in the quicksand.

I have encountered the same issue twice. And I think it happened when Jack was removed from hanging out with you as part of his quest.
E.g., "The Scientific Method". He was hanging out with me, and the quest step was to go into the Vitalys Mines. When I entered the mines, the quest step was updated to find Jack in the mines. He was auto-removed and placed at the quest destination.
When I spoke with him to try to get him to hang out with me again, he gives me the end hang-out dialog.

Issue: Once you hang out with EVE, she will not stop hanging out with you. You can tell her to stop but it doesn't work, you can try to hang out with someone else, it doesn't work. You are just perma hanging out with Eve and cannot hang out with anyone else

Jack does not hang out with out. Jack also doesn't go to the throne like he's supposed to. (I put that here because the quest can be completed but these 2 facts make it challenging.) When you choose to hang out with him, he continues to do what he wants.

Issue: Having this same problem here with both Goofy and Donald. Both will start animations, freeze for many seconds in air, and then go back to normal and walk without continuing the animation. Most noticeable during Donald’s tantrums where he will trip, get up angry, and then freeze, and then wave hello, and then trip again. Repeat. I do not have my own screenshots to add on me which is why I am adding onto someone else’s report.

Issue (Jack): I constantly find myself resetting just to hang out with Jack. Even after restarting the entire game, it's a low chance that he does hang out with you. The odds are only slightly better I find.

Challenging Beast to Scramblecoin while in Remy's makes the game freeze on his greeting dialogue. Cannot cancel out. Had to force quit.

EDIT half hour later:
Can confirm it happened again. Spoke with Beast to play a game and it's stuck on his greeting dialogue while in Remy's (2nd restaurant location, if that matters.) Had to force quit game again.

Removing villagers from the village does not seem to work consistently, even if they do not have an active quest. Villagers will still appear in places such as their houses, Chez Remy, or Scrooge’s Shop, even if they’ve been removed and have no active quests.

I start at my house at eternal island and it's raining I turn to go into the ruins to my right with the steps in it and it crashes....rain issue?
Went through another grey corridor while raining and crashed also...

Sometimes Jack won't hang out. The workaround seems to be to hang out with someone else, then ask Jack at least twice.

Issue: I used my hourglass in the plaza for an orb and when I was clicking A to get the prize out of the circle it also triggered goofy to talk to me and I lost the whole circle. The circle had plenty of time left on it. Goofy walked up to me while I was in the middle of the circle and pressing A made me talk to him

Issue (Jack Skellington): hang out breaks if I set a quest to track.

I can hang out with him any time prior however once I track a quest, hang out breaks and I have to ask him multiple time to hang out for it to register.

Ways I've workaround it:

untracked quest asked to hang out, took about two go's
untrack quest ask another villager to hang out, then ask Jack to hang out -> registers instantly

If quest is still tracked

asked another villager to hang out then asked Jack to hang out -> registers instantly.

If I dont ask another villager to hang out while I have a quest tracked it takes about 3-4 times to register hang out request

Hi I'm working on the quest for Jafar getting the second part of the key well my quest is to go talk to repunzle next while Gaston get supplies together I went to go talk to her and a large floating rock is blocking they path to her and there isn't a way around and I can't break it with my hourglass or pick ax I looked and its showing that I need to upgrade my hourglass but I cant upgrade it yet on that level the thing Is I was just talking to her yesterday and now the path is blocked and I am unable able to complete the quest

Issue: EVE sometimes flies up into the air and disappears. She’ll usually reappear when I walk over to where she was before she took off, but in this instance, she didn’t. I only saw the prompt to talk to her pop up.

Issue (Include NPC Name): I have Eve as my timebending buddy. She was following me around on my main valley but when I activated the time rift mini game in the Forgotten Lands, she disappeared from my valley completely when the time rift ended.
After toggling her character from the map, she came back. However, she was toggled off by the game. I never messed with the map until I checked to see if I can get her back that way.

Issue: Will not level up. Flat out refuses to. I gave him mining and his xp bar has not budged since I gave him a gift to get him to level 2. Have restarted the game.

Edit: Will only level up with gifts. A long and tedious way to level up a character.

Issue: after I asked Rapunzel to follow me, she won't unfollow me anymore, even though I asked another NPC (Jack Skellington) to spend time, she always reappears and the other one doesn't. I asked her directly to stop spending time, she says goodbye and still reappears, even when I teleport.

EDIT: it's Jack Skellington. I asked another NPC (Eve) to hang out and Rapunzel left.
EDIT 2: Had the issue again, asked Jack to hang out, but the other NPC, Woody this time, wouldn't leave. Woody still followed me but didn't do his job anymore, so I didn't receive extra materials from him anymore. Could only get rid of him, when asking another NPC who's not Jack to hang out.

Every time I try to play scamblecoin with Beast my game freezes? The character's are still doing their idle movements but the text box freezes, and doesnt load after he says my name.

Jack will not follow me. It’s like the command to hangout just gets canceled as soon as our conversation is exited.
Also, text bubble of the conversations between NPCs will not show up, unless their conversation is for a quest… miss being able to see their conversations around the game

Hiding/Removing villagers doesn't work. I have no active quests and the characters still show up even though I've greyed them out on the map. They are supposed to be hidden unless they're needed for a quest, and i have no quests.
Edit to clarify: I chose to hide both Maui and Gothel and they're currently in the restaurant. It's been maybe half an hour since i greyed them out and it didn't do anything, they're still around my village

Issue: Constant crashing. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes I can play for a half hour or an hour, sometimes I can't play for more than a minute. The inability to play for longer than a minute is the most common. The game is basically unplayable. It takes longer to load into the game than the time I can play, which doesn't matter because nothing I can happen to get done in that short amount of time is saved. Just black screens saying "An unexpected error has occurred."

Issue: NPC characters keep disappearing off my map and are nowhere to be found in the main area. I do NOT have the expansion yet, but I know characters are able to travel between the two worlds when you do have it. I suspect NPC characters are still doing this in my game even though I haven’t bought Rift in Time yet. I can fix it by closing out of my game and reloading it, then they show back up. This has happened to four NPC characters that I was looking for. Vanellope also keeps appearing as only sparkles with no body.

Npc: Scrooge

Issue: When I saw Scrooge I was prompted to a pop up to give him the Condemned Building Sign to him out the blue. I passed the sign to him and he thanked me. I then realized, Scrooge had a quest for me regarding this sign. Well since I gave Scrooge the Condemned Building Sign 🪧 on Eternal Isla already, the quest is now stuck on making sure I have the sign in my inventory. Every time I see Scrooge, the quest now stays blue and I have to have the same convo over and over and over again. I’m stuck and can’t open the shop. Please help!

Issue: I’m at the end of the shine the light quest and it’s asking me to speak to mother gothel. While the map says she’s home she’s not inside her home in the glade of trust. Mother Gothel and Rapunzel are supposed talk to each other at the end of the Glow Up quest. They can walk up to each other, but then they just stand there doing this slightly glitchy animation (looks kind of like they're trying to walk somewhere but are getting stuck on geometry), and the conversation never happens. I have tried moving between Eternity Isle and the main island with them, but it happens in both locations. I have also tried restarting the game, but that didn't help either.

After equipping the "Frozen Elsa" style, she is now stuck in place beside the ice cave. She does not move, even changing the style back now, she instantly runs back to her spot and gets stuck again. I also cannot ask her to follow me anymore regardless of dream style, despite her being on lvl 10.

So today both Merlin & Ursula have an icon for Scramblecoin over them. They are constantly following you everywhere and spamming text urging you to play the game. I don't mind being hit up once, but every time I enter and leave a house or teleport some place else on the map they are right there. Can you reduce this behavior?

issue: on Eternity Isle, I gave Scrooge the sign to the shop when I spoke to him already before prompting me to have it in my inventory, but it seems I gave it to him too early because the quest is asking me to make sure I have the Condemned Building sign in my inventory. I no longer have it bcuz I gave it to him already. I keep talking to him to see if this will work but it doesn’t. I’m now stuck and can’t open the shop in Eternity

Issue: while playing scramble coin with several different NPCs, it will often take SEVERAL minutes (between 1 and 5+) for the NPC to take their turn. It will do it on any turn and any character, I can't find a pattern right now in the long turn taking process, other than it's before they move any character (whether adding a new piece in or swapping pieces).

Issue: NPC spawning has been very wonky ever since this release came out.

NPC companions that used to spawn with you when you exited a building, now appear either across the zone or in another zone and have to run to your position.
This also happens when teleporting between the two islands.
NPCs in Scrooge's shop now appear to spawn in the exact same spot, and have difficulty untangling from each other in that spot.
NPCs in Remy's all seat in unison when you enter. It appears very odd and didnt happen before.
4, There are sometimes way too many npcs in Scrooges/Remys buildings, you need to balance that out and have more roaming the valley like they used to.

Issue: NPC spawning, pathing, dialog issues

1 After fast travelling/exiting a building the character I'm hanging out with spawns at a different location from me, making them run across the map to my location. Often they spawn outside their own home instead of at the door of the building I've just exited.
2 After fast travelling, exiting Scramblecoin, or entering/exiting an area several characters spawn in the same spot and appear merged together. This sometimes happens with characters who are seated in the restaurant: since they can't move they stay stuck together.
3 The map shows some characters in their home, but they aren't there when I enter. When I exit they're still displayed as being in their home. I have to enter/exit several times before they appear.
4 Characters occasionally freeze in place (in terms of location and current frame in their animation) if they approach me while I'm talking to another character. This leads to things like Donald being suspended in the air or Mirabel and all of her butterflies being frozen in place around me until the conversation ends.
5 Voiced dialog and speech bubbles are being triggered from a single character at the same time and/or from 2+ characters at once. Character's speech bubbles, voice lines, and/or animations are being triggered while I'm already in a conversation, cooking, or crafting.
6 Characters with Scramblecoin bonus are aggressively following me, walking directly into my character. Because this affects two characters at a time, one or both of them is constantly right up in my space. If I play them, the bonus transfers to other characters who become the next to 'swarm' me.

Several of these issues compound with each other, leading to 2 or more NPCs 'swarming' my character, and chatter/speech bubbles, scramblecoin/quest marker icons, character animations, Mirabel's butterflies, etc filling the screen. I feel like I'm constantly trying to flee from everyone!

Issue: Problem where villagers appear in their houses on the map, won't be there when you enter their house, but will spawn outside of their house as soon as you exit is SO much worse since addition of Eternity Isle and ability to toggle villagers on/off. I've run across multiple instances where I have had to enter/exit a villagers house several times before they will appear, sometimes I have to toggle them on/off a bunch of times before they will show up, a few times I've had to travel to the other map completely so that I can just find them wandering outside instead of having to try to get them out of their house.

Ive been having trouble leveling up Belle specifically? I gave her the order and a favorite gift at level 7 and it barley moved at all. Ive never seen it do so little before like that, I also dont have the dlc so its not suposed to go to a higher level.

Additionally, every time into a character’s home (to speak to them for example), even though it said they were inside, they will be absent when I enter and when I come out will just be hanging in the doorway.

Issue: can’t complete quests where villagers have to talk to each other. when they meet up they just stare at each other and move around a bit and no dialogue comes up. if i try to stand nearby to “listen” they go back and forth between waving at me & then facing each other. so far it has happened with the forgotten and mickey (acts of care) and jack skellington and fairy godmother (the pumpkin king returns)

Issue: Woody will NOT show up in his House, no matter what I do. I disabled him and Buzz. When I needed Buzz for the Star Path, he showed up again but confined to his House. I found it just so perfect!! But when I needed Woody, he wasn't in his House. I was forced to enable him again and he showed up. I did what I needed for the day, disabled him again.
Now, I knew that he wouldn't show up in his house so I just immediately enabled him. He did show up on the map, it said he was in his House. But when I went in, he wasn't there. I thought maybe he just left again, but when I went outside it said he was still in his House...

I already had issues that I think I've reported with disabling characters that they aren't even in their houses when I do need them (which I think is supposed to happen?) and now he's just... walking around, strolling without a care in the world whilst he's supposed to be locked up in his house. I do not have a quest of him, I already took care of his Star Path Duty... I don't know how to fix this.

Issue #1:

The usual that has been happening where I go to see a character in their home and they aren't in there, usually you go outside and they are there but now they won't be outside either. Now it takes about 2 or 3 times of going in and out until you can find them.

Issue #2:

Many times characters won't even be on the map at all, I will have to disable them on that new menu and then re-enable them in order for them to pop up.

Issue #3:

I don't know if it is just me, but Jack Skellington seems to be taking forever to level up? At least in comparison to past characters... (I know I'm behind)

Issue: Map says Fairy Godmother is in house. She is not. Before this, I check the map which said she was in her house, I walked in her house, found her, gave her a gift, exited to cook her something, came back and she was missing. Checked the map and she wasn't on the map at all. Did something else (don't remember if it was teleporting or entering a different building) and she had reappeared on the map but is still not in her house. This is at 8pm local, if that helps with tracking her movements. Did not try restarting to see if she would reappear.

Issue: No screenshot, but Rapunzel's idle (or emote, not sure) with the painting easel doesn't seem to have any condition check on when or where she does it. I've seen her painting with the easel high up in the air and with the easel hanging off of the stairs/ramps in Scrooge's Store and outdoors and even half inside a clock tower. Collision in this game really needs a tuneup.

Issue: Hope this is the right place, but when doing scramble coin with nearly any villager, they consistently get stuck on turn 3. I’ve waited as long as ten minutes, but usually around 2-3 minutes for them to complete their turn. It doesn’t freeze, cause the game is still moving, but they just take a million years to complete their turn.

Issue/name: all NPCs - when harvesting and foraging for items, villagers will freeze in one spot and not follow after me. This causes them to not harvest items behind me and instead throw a giant pile of them at me after several moments of waiting. Pushing them doesn’t seem to get them “unstuck” from this pattern once they’re in it.

Issue: Scrooge didn’t spawn inside his shop. I exited the shop and re-entered and he still wasn’t there. I then checked the map settings and made sure he was in the valley. He then spawned outside the shop but when going inside again he still was not there. The only way I solved this was to ask him to hang out, enter the shop and ask to leave. I could then order furniture.

Issue: I entered Mickey's house, but he wasn't inside. I assumed he did the whole "I'm leaving just as you're entering" trick, so I went back outside expecting to find him standing there. Nope. I checked my map again and sure enough, it showed Mickey was INSIDE his house. Now, sure, Mickey could have been exiting his house whenever I entered and entering it whenever I stepped outside... but that seems like a level of hostile avoidance I wouldn't attribute to Disney's beloved mascot. That or Mickey was invisible.

Issue: Followers aren't following, they just stop moving and don't walk with me or anything. They aren't stuck, they're just standing there. I don't even think I'm getting the bonus from them. Right now, it's Gothel but I've seen it happen to other villagers with other jobs/tasks too. I went around the entire Glade biome, and Gothel sat on the ramp coming from the beach and didn't budge once.

She has since caught up and dropped her bonus mushrooms from me gathering and her being frozen, it's very similar to locking them in a fence except she's doing it on her own.

The last quest from the Forgotten isn't registering having the conversation (the conversation about what it'slike to be an adult), so I can't complete the quest. The quest no longer shows up in my queue, but she only ever has the same conversation, and her icon on the map has a quest indicator.

Agreed, pixie. Def not tied to specific characters as I have experienced this at some point with every single villager who has followed me.
In fact, here is a clip of the issue. He receives the XP but he (Jack) is not following me and gathering his bonus. A minute or two after I stopped digging, he stayed in the exact same spot and bent down and everything exploded but he has still not budged from this spot.

Issue: NPC's when hanging out with me harvesting in my garden, they seem to 'vapor-lock' for several seconds before they throw out the additional items. Sometimes it's only once, on the first row harvested, other times it happens throughout the harvesting. They usually recover and behave as expected, but it does happen with all of them at least once.

I don't have a video from the first time, but this is the 2nd time this happened to me. But it only has ever happened with Eve. When I go to talk to her no text bubble pops up, I can't move, I can't hit B, etc. Only way to fix is to reset game.

Issue: There's a warning when the game starts up, about flashing lights triggering possible physical responses. Well there should be another trigger warning about the NPCs stalking you. I find it very upsetting to be constantly stalked everywhere I go. I now find myself spending extended periods of time in my house, or other places NPCs can't get in to. This isn't right, a game is supposed to be fun, right? And, honestly, most of the game is fun, just not the stalking parts.

Issue: ||Simba keeps saying "I wonder who the Ruler of this Valley is and where they are", even after completing the main storyline quests with The Forgotten.|| Also, many characters comment on the looks/vibe/state of the "Valley", while they're on Eternity Isle. Idk if this is intentional or not, but personally I view the Valley and EI as separate placed, so it feels weird when they say things like "here in the Valley" while being on EI. Also, Merlin says something like "Look at all this Dreamlight!" while on EI and on EI we have Mist instead of Dreamlight.

EDIT: After playing scrablecoin against her, I was given the option to hang out with her. Just want to give the possible workaround for those with the same issue 🙂

Issue: NPCs (Such as WALL-E for example won't stop following me, when we aren't even hanging out. They will follow me in the EXACT pathway that I walk in, I tested it in circles around Moana's boat and sure enough, he did laps around her boat. It doesn't even matter whether or not they want to play scrabblecoin.

I have locked missions for some of my max level characters (all is max inlcuding me) that say keep playing to unlock missions. Nothing seems to trigger those missions, and is there even missions to be unlocked? or is it a bug. Only some characters have this.

Several Villagers are intermittently not having the option to hang out.
Example- I was able to hang out with Eve, then hung out with Gaston, now when I went to hangout with Eve again, the option is not there.

Issue: So far I've only seen this happen at Remy's but Gaston's icon is replaced with Jafar's even though Jafar isn't present. When Gaston leaves his icon is back to normal.

Issue: the beast stays too close to me when we hang out. I selected harvesting as his skill and I constantly have to turn the camera to see if the harvesting turns gold because his body is so large and it blocks my view constantly. Even if I turn the camera he somehow ends up overlapping into me and then I have to turn the camera again. He needs to give me some space.

Issue: Jack Skellington went to sleep immediately after unlocking him and hasn't woken up since. I check at all times throughout the day and have verified my Xbox timezone is correct. It is currently 6:29pm my time and he is asleep. Same as he was at 10am this morning, 12pm this afternoon, 3pm this afternoon, and 4pm this afternoon. I have never seen him awake 😦

Issue: When harvesting multiple crops, it only lets me harvest 1 singular crop, then proceeds to lag for a couple seconds and then repeats. It's really hard to garden on mobile already and this is making it worse.
