My game was running completely fine, maybe a bit of lag every so often but I made it to the part in the new realm where Belle gives you the disguise and as soon as I hit Y to try the outfit on the game is lagging heavily with every step I take, I tried to quit to the title and jump back in but the walk back to the dream castle and finding the door its still lagging heavily
Not unplayable but definitely odd since I can't tell if the issue is due to my Xbox being old gen or the outfit or both
Update: seems it was the outfit after all, after talking to beast and taking the disguise off it seems the lag immediately went away

Is there a way to get to the game developers? This game is unplayable. Every single biome laggs. I still can't do anything. I wish they stop adding more to the game instead of fixing it first. I'm giving up for the night and trying again after a patch is sent through x.x

Issue: Game has been freezing where no controller input is accepted. This mostly has been happening during conversations with villagers, especially when I quickly select and speed through the speech options and character responses.
Crashes also happen at other times, most recently during photo sessions. I end up having to return to the Xbox home screen, and then close the game from there.

I have the fastest fibre connection available here in the UK and don't have an issue with any other game or service. So much depends on having connectivity in this game, it really needs to be more robust. I really hope this is fixed soon.

Sometimes it freezes when chatting, handing stuff over etc. it’s always sometimes crashed when handing in quest items or picking up memories so I always save it prior to doing those things now. But this is a different level of crashing as it’s constant!

Issue: game froze when I opened the menu, said that I wasn’t connected to the internet when I was. It tried to reconnect and buffered for over 10 minutes. I had to force close and I’m opening the game again to see if I lost the item I got from the night thorn chest I opened immediately before this happened.
Update: I lost the item and the night thorns didn’t spawn another chest. No waterfall item or other daily item for me :(

Problems came with Vanellope. Her "glitches" are causing real ones in the game. It was very smooth game play until she came. Crashing arrived with the Beauty & Beast update.

Found a fix. If anyone else has the above issue follow this. GL if you see this hopefully it helps.
I initiated the dialogue between Beast and Gothel by getting close to them. As soon as the first text box pops up, run away so the text box disappears.
From here, the conversation will continue, but the boxes do not appear. The game will not crash and you can progress.
GL I think the issue has to do with the text boxes. Not sure why rendering them causes a crash, but could be something to look into

Certain bioms are more laggy than others. Frozen biom is laggy as hell (I have my house there). Tbh, it hasn't been fixed since the last update. The forest, forgotten lands and the swamp biom are the most laggy out of all of them. This is when the chests freezes the game.
The star path is okay, just the daily conversations freezes. My inventory glitches and the fish disappeared.
When I get any character to hang out with me, they glitch. They don't follow me and they just stay in one place. So when I do gardening or mining, fishing they stop giving me extra items. I have to reset to the nearest well and then the extra items work.
When I save every few times, it seems to be okay. But not the best tho.
The map and menu is probably the worst. It's hard to catch up on what you're doing on star path without it freezing.
The map itself when I click on it, for a split second has a white screen then goes back to normal. It's every time I click on the map, so I try to avoid it as much as possible. Fast travel is a nightmare, when I travel to a different biom, most likely the menu on fast travel stays on your screen. I have to wait for 5 minutes to auto save and then I close the game and boot it back up.
I haven't even attempted to do any friendship quests because that just freezes or the game crashes. No matter what I do.

It freezes when I’m interacting with something or someone, or even if I’m just walking or running. It’s gone from freezing after 20 mins, freezing after only 5 mins of a full close and restart, freezing after an hour. It’s inconsistent, entirely random, and extremely frustrating.
To combat this, I’ve been manually saving after literally everything I do. After every interaction with anything, just to try and prevent progress loss. But it’s still very frustrating and inconvenient.

Insofar as I can tell, my theory is it has something to do with cloudsaving, other biomes loading, and/or too many input commands at once.
Cloud Save, because a manual cloud save only seems to register as soon as I boot up/right before I return to title menu and close the game.
Biome loading, because I experience the most lag whenever I'm near the edge of a biome, no matter which one or whether it has another biome on that edge or not.
And too many input commands, because freezing happens most frequently in the middle of a task/talking to someone/using goofy's stall.
Hope any of my findings help! I know we're all frustrated with the issues, but the Dev Team's hard work is extremely appreciated!

Serious framerate issues, when moving you can tell there is lag. Multiple issues with game freezing up too which has hindered any amount of progress.

I've noticed, when it's nearing auto saving time, it starts to lag, A LOT. Yes, more so in other bioms than others.
Forgotten lands, the dessert one and the frozen one are the worst culprits for that. When it starts to lag and goes to near auto saving time, that's when the game starts to freeze and crash. Especially when you open up chests. Not so much when I'm walking/running, that only happens when I don't manually save a lot.
I also noticed, when I go near the bioms that lags more than others, that's when my game to starts to drop frames, rapidly. Especially when it's near the auto save point.
I know people are saying it's random, tbh it's really not. I've been playing this game for hours and that's the things I've noticed.

At the risk of agreeing to disagree, the change in framerate seems to have helped for me! In the 2 hrs I played today, I only got the slightest of lag when the camera was too close to a wall or barrier, and it didn't freeze on me once! Granted, I'm still playing cautiously, not moving too quickly near biomes and manually saving every few minutes, but still. Even despite the slower framerate it's the smoothest I've been able to play since Dreamsnaps dropped.
I might not know much abt programming, but I do know that sometimes changing something that seems unrelated fixes the problem when the more conventional routes fail. 🤷
I would rather play at a lower framerate for a bit than get so frustrated with it crashing every other minute that I no longer want to play at all, personally 🤷

As of the last 48 hours (including after the newest patch) I am unable to get past the loading screen after pressing ‘continue’ on the main menu. It freezes at the exact same spot as shown below and the little star stops moving completely!
Neither restarting or a soft reset/clearing cache have solved this problem.

Please trust me that frame rates have nothing to do with it. Both Series S and X are strong enough to handle 60fps. It is all about optimization and clearly the team behind DDV is struggling. Constant issues and bugs, some which are in the game for months.
If I am playing a game on new generation console that I payed 70 euro for I am expecting quality and stability. So yeah it freaking sucks when they take away something we had from the start.

No one is whining, I am expressing my disapproval and opinion. You don’t have to agree with me, I am not asking you to.
I am trying to explain to all of you that reducing FPS has no effect on the stability of the game. They are misleading everyone and the fact that you had no freezing or crashing does not mean others are having similar experiences. As a matter of fact, my game expirience has been pretty bad since today’s hot fix. Game is very clunky and slow, the smoothness is gone.
Like, I am playing on next gen console, full priced game so I also expect to have same type of expirience and 30fps is not it. If that is what you want, good for you. I don’t understand why are you complaining because I am fighting for you as well. I want them to add an option so players like you can choose 30fps if they want and 60fps for players like me.
As for the temporary part - I have no reason to believe it is temporary because that is such a broad term and I am not planning to play next 2+ months with worse performance than when I bought the game. A fix is supposed to fix or improve the problem, not make it worse.

I am now experiencing other issues that are equally frustrating... like the menu scrolling issues and the slowed frame-rate graphics hurt my eyes and gives me a sense of nausea.
My only hope is their development team figures things out soon in the coding because at this point I am not playing and missing progress...

Ever since the dreamsnaps update, I haven't been able to access the store, now since the last update and patch, I can't even connect to the server to play online. I have tried reinstalling, turning my xbox off and on, as well as checking my internet connection. I did submit a ticket for not being able to access the store, but that was months ago and all I got was that it was "a known issue, and we are working on it". I can't play! Super bummed.

I'll be quite far into my game time and then a memory or collecting dreamlight screen will get stuck and I can't do anything else, I have to alt f4 or force close the game and reload, has happened since I started playing after the last update.

Xbox one - game soft locks when trying to cash in the 500 dreamlight for completing a task card. Example, just finished harvesting 900 blueberries and clicking on it to bring up thd 500 dreamlight screen the game is then stuck on that screen. Can't click OK to exit, animations are still running and the game is still running in the background
Only solution is to force quit and restart. Same issue that we used to have (and still have but much less frequent now) when picking up memories, opening boxes/pouches and serving customers in the restaurant

Issue: Game freezes while trying to harvest by holding down the A button, then it will harvest a few items and freeze again. Sometimes, it completely locks up and all button presses stop responding, but I can still rotate the camera. Happened in my own crops and Wall-E's Garden. Makes it impossible to farm and is extremely frustrating. I tried harvesting items 1 at a time and the game still locked up as described above.

Issue: Crashed for the first time since hotfix. Accidentally spoke to Minnie instead of Woody, when I backed out the screen froze and went unresponsive but all sounds were active. Heard Minnie's "Goodbye" and when I tried to pull up the menu the sfx sounded, but the screen was still stuck.

This happens in the Simba realm. When I try to go into the realm, the screen turnes black and there is a constant loading icon in the right bottom corner and I never get into the realm itself.
Need to force quit the game and close it, and then go into the game again.
Before this, there was a problem in the realm itself when doing the “Eyes in the dark” quest, where in the second part where you need the log to fall down in front of the waterfall, the log never actually did fall even after trying to break the rocks for the log to fall down 🥲

Issue: Crashed twice today: first, after I was AFK inside my house for about 10 minutes, I came back and exited the house and the screen froze up loading the Valley.
Second crash happened about 45 ish mins later, I went to collect more moonstones from the star path and the screen stuck (see attached img).
The music kept playing and, like last Wednesday's crash, I could hear the sfx of the menu closing and the moonstones being added in and the settings menu pulling up when attempted. Unlike any prior crash, however, the animation behind the moonstones kept moving.

Game crashes have been popping up again for me. The most recent was after I had visited Scrooge's store and made several furniture purchases. I tried leaving the store, and the game froze on me. I had to force quit, and when I restarted, I had different furniture items in the store to purchase.

When interacting with Belle, game "freezes". I can move the camera but dialog and options to interact are not available so I cannot back out of the interaction. Happened when I went to give her gifts and then happened 20 minutes later when giving her items for Beast's quest.

Haven't been able to connect online for over a month, and before that no access the store. I've tried uninstalling, switching from WiFi to direct connect, reset my router. Nothing fixes it. I have never time jumped.
Submitted a ticket and all I got was that it was a "known issue", but no resolution for a few months now. It's really put a bummer on playing.

Issue: Game crashes almost ever time I load out of my main house. If I load out of other buildings I have about a 50% crash rate. On the rare occasions that I can load out of my main house I crash within 5 minutes. Yes i have the extra item limit turned on and have over the first cap placed. I have 3 pet houses down with at least 1 pet each, 4 waterfalls and maybe 8 floor water tiles.

Platform: Xbox Series S Issue: Game crashes within the first five minutes of loading in. Today, I timed it at 4 minutes and 56 seconds. The screen goes completely black after exiting any building. The extra item limit is turned on. I have one pumpkin patch with a little over 100 pumpkins, and I have 4 companion houses active. I do have several waterfalls and fountain tiles placed around my valley. This constant crashing started with Update 7 and the patches and bug fixes released since then have done nothing to solve the problem. Surprisingly, the game crashes significantly less when I play on Switch.

I fixed it before by deleting my whole valley and redecorating. But I'm not doing that everything just to play something I bought.

Crashed for the first time in a while today. Was lagging/dropping frames at the edge of Forgotten Realm and Sunlit Plateau, and when I got to the Plaza it stopped halfway thru mining the rock closest to the beach. I could move the camera, but wasn't able to access any menus or move at all. Then the loading spinner showed up in the middle of the screen and 'loaded' for about 5 mins before I gave up and reset.
