Not related to an update 6 crash, but I still can't find the forgotten after the crash during update 5. It happened during the scene of closing the rips. I was really looking forward to finishing that quest with this update. 🙁

Went to the shop, reconnected to the WiFi there as it had disconnected
Went back to Event tab and it froze. Can change the tab but still says No Event is on. Won't let me close menu

Keep trying to access the event tab and every time (except for one) it says not event come back later and then freezes on that page even when I change to other ones. Have to close out game to fix it. Any fix on this yet? I see lots of others also have this problem.

Hello wanted to come here to ask if yall switch players are experiencing very low volume when playing this game? I played this both handheld and dock and the volume seems to be turned waay lower? I have full max volume on both game and the switch I wanted to play this on handheld so I can lay in bed but I can barely hear anything from the speakers of the switch are yall experiencing this too? It was fine b4 the update and its not my switch having the issue cuz all of my games are hearable its just DDLV

I'm currently blocked via 201 error, but have seen the volume has been altered on multiple consoles and people saying it's super low. I'm sure they will correct this issue soon, but have not seen an official dev post about it.

Hey there, I’ve been stuck because I can’t harvest the specific plants to each areas (garlic, vanilla etc..) like the “harvest” command isnt showing up.
I’ve also got a problem with Scrooge’s shop, the items aren’t resetting (it’s been few days and I still got the same items)

I am still having issues with crashes if I stay in Decorating/Furniture mode too long, it will either crash or freeze up when I go to exit. I've had issues with Furniture mode since release, and I have a Switch OLED. I would love to be able to use decorating mode more often, especially with the new Dreamscapes feature. But this continues to be an issue.

I posted earlier about the 201 utilization error. I’m still getting the error on my switch. I changed the account to a different user that is on my switch to see if it could be an issue with uploading my saved data, and it worked. So when I opened Dreamlight valley on the other user, and started it fresh as a new user I was able to get into the game just fine. Yet, I haven’t been able to play all day from my account.

Yesterday after the update it was Error 201, decided to boot up the game today to chance it & see whether it’ll load. When it got the main menu it displayed Cloud Save Recovered (25 days 2hrs, moonstone 1,355), proceeded to the load screen & still error. I don’t quite get the Cloud Save Recovered, as the details aren’t fully correct, since I cloud saved yesterday & I have just made to 1k moonstones. Hopefully this isn’t going to be the one that loads…

I agree. I tend to manually save so I cloud save as well. Meanwhile my wife just manual save when she remembers & I have noticed her last cloud save is like 75 days ago (which I did for her)!

They were clearly blindsided by this. I don’t believe they would deliberately release the update knowing that majority of their players wouldn’t even be able to play. This issue is across all platforms and not specifically a single platform that’s having issues. Yes, it is frustrating sure, but we were aware that we we purchased the game that this was a beta game (knowing there would be bugs, glitches, potential issues etc) they are working on it as quickly yet efficiently as possible so more people don’t loose their cloud files on the game. Give them some grace and patience.

201 error code is associated with the GL cloud login just waiting on a fix if you play under a new switch profile itll play but of course no save and itll be a new game you cant even logout of your cloud save itll fail or login under a new profile itll says its already linked

Just popping in here to say that the game seems to be freezing A LOT on my switch since the update. Downloaded it last night around 10pm, and have already had at least three instances of having to force quit because the screen freezes and the buttons stop working.

Console: Switch. Problem: game stays stuck at the first load screen. I previously was getting the #201 error after selecting “continue”, now it won’t even let me do this. It buffered this way for 3 minutes and I shut it down. I did try rebooting two more times with the same results

I have the same problem but it was because I went a week ahead and now I am back in real time, it fixes itself if you timetraveled when you go past the time you timetraveled to if that's the problem

Game crashes when I tried to place a rock, after being logged in for less than five minutes. I’ve always had issues with decorating though which is why I haven’t done a whole lot. literally the glitchiest game I’ve ever played in my life.

Sounds like perhaps you time hopped. This happens when you do this and will reset once it catches up to how far ahead you time hopped.

Whenever completing a quest, my switch crashes and I lose all of the tasks I did for that quest. For example, I am completing the sprouting a story quest for Wali.. first time I did it before the crash the number of items for the quest increases to 18?! I went from having to find 10 pages to 18 after my switch crashed

Currently the thing that is crashing my game most is when I leave my game open for a long time without any activity, it crashes when entering a loading zone or opening the menu to save my game. When I leave it open I’m just standing in a random spot of either a biome or inside one of the player house(s). I’ve left it open for hours or sometimes just 45mins and more often than not it will crash shortly after resuming the game and doing one of the before mentioned things. It’s also has happened, on occasion, when leaving the game open while on the save menu or even when it’s on in the background and I’m only looking at the switch home menu but the software is still running.

Issue: I brought back the forgotten in my valley. I had a bug at that time when I had to talk to the forgotten. When I came back I was on the quest "The Remembered" and I need to talk to the Forgotten but I can't find him anywhere either in the valley or in the dark castle

Honestly manually saving often will help you get around it. It’s a bit annoying, but it might be what is needed til the game becomes more stable and you can decorate without crashing.

I’m hoping the crashing/softlocking is fixed in the next update. I’ve had to restart my game at least 10 times (since I’ve bought it a couple weeks ago) because of freezing.

I literally can’t even serve anyone in remy’s restaurant because when I serve the characters, my game gets stuck in between the “give item?” and “thanks for the meal” chatbox screen and I can’t do anything else except restart my game. (I really don’t want to try to get a picture in fear of it happening again but I can if asked for) ☹️

This is SO infuriating, there’s no reason this game should be crashing and freezing this much 😭 Thankfully it saves so I never lose any progress, but having to completely restart the game all the time is making it unplayable at this point. Bahaha I play on switch and there's a glitch in Ariel's mermaid form. When she stops to do flips in the water her hair repeatedly flips through her neck and head. I wasn't recording so I didn't catch evidence.
