EDIT: I figured out my issue. I apparently had a touch of magic tank I was wearing under the sweater. Don't understand why it would prevent me from submitting when you can't even see it but I'm glad I figured it out!

Issue : I didn't know where to post so I'm trying here given it will be very difficult to use the DreamSnaps gameplay if it isn't fix. When I quit the photo mode from my phone, the game lags a lot. To the point it really makes it awful if I want to try multiple angles for a photo especially for the DreamSnaps challenge

Now, I can't progress her quest as it shows I did not take that photo but I can't resubmit it. DreamSnaps also doesn't show me the next challenge I had before the freeze. Photos not registering.

Issue: The camera angle functionality freezes and won't work if you go in and out of camera mode more than once. Only fix is to log out and reload the game. It happens repeatedly even with the fix however.

But the dust is not in my mailbox and I progressed to next quest but do not have DreamSnaps Menu's. Game also keeps prompting to purchase Xbox Pass when I own the Ultimate Edition of the game.

📍When retaking a new photo to submit for the contest, it occasionally freezes. Therefore you have to completely log out, log back into the game, go all the way back to the castle, reset up your photo and try again. It seems that if you want to rewrite over the other photo sometimes the camera mode freezes.

I am a photographer and a bit of a perfectionist but I would love to see more updates to the camera in the future. Zooming in and out, the ability to take your avatar out of the photo if needed would be wonderful. ❤️

Issue: I have no option in my Events section to do the dreamlight ball. This is disappointing. I’ve seen how other people do it and I should be able to since I already got Vanellope but every time I log in today I go to events and there’s still no way for me to opt in to the dreamlight ball DramSnaps.

Issue: Not sure this counts as part of a DreamSnaps specific issue, but I cannot rotate camera or zoom in/out in photo mode. It SAYS I should be able rotate my camera with the right stick in some modes, as well as move the camera with the L2 + left stick and zoom with R2 + right stick in another mode……but none of those work, doesn’t matter which mode. Just absolutely can’t rotate the camera at all. This will make participating in dreamsnaps almost impossible.

Are you certain neither you nor a mannequin is wearing even a recoloured clothing item? Rug on the ground? Any furniture? Maybe it checks the entire room despite being in frame or not.

POSSIBLE LOCKED CAMERA FIX:
Try pressing the pose-cancel button (circle with diagonal line), or cycling the views. Try rotating while in another view mode then switching to the one you want while also pressing the rotate key.

@molten narwhal Juliet and mad hatter Ann helped me with the same problem. It is the clothes. Go to all filter for trait select wondrous then make sure you are wearing 5 of those items. I hope this helps you like it did me.

i was doing the picture outside the house. i just started my island a little less than a month ago so i havent gotten to decorating or using the touch of magic items yet. the one picture that worked i had to get rid of the paths on the ground. same set up a couple minutes later and it was saying the touch of magic again items error again.

Issue: I took a photo with a touch of magic item. When I try to take a new photo, the DreamSnaps button (D) is not showing up on UI in camera mode, and pressing D does not activate it. I can see the DreamSnaps tab in the Event menu but there is no "Check submission" button, so it's not that I have already submitted one.

No I don’t have Xbox gold…..I hope that is not the case. I haven’t read anywhere that it is needed. I hope gameloft comes out and says that online services (ps+, gold, or Nintendo online) are needed.

Does this open up at the end of the week for voting Or should I have access now? Also have changed my picture several times not knowing if this interferes with voting. Clarification would be great. I hope that's just a bug. Otherwise all users who play on Switch should have a subscription to NSO, the same would also be true for computer gamers (what should they be subscribed to?) and for those who play from Playstation. I know I have all the correct/necessary objects for the submission as I filtered them in furniture mode, however, it does not detect all 5 Wondrous items. I have changed camera angles several times, changed object location, restarted the game, and removed, saved and re-added objects. It still shows I only have four Wondrous.

Issue: voting function - when I go to vote, sometimes a message will pop up and say there's nothing to vote on. If that happens I just tried to vote again and one of two things will happen: either the pictures will pop up and I will be able to vote on a few before it crashes (like 2-4 sets), or it will just crash without bringing the photos up.

By crashing though, I mean that the event screen will go blank with a message that says no event currently available. Unfortunately video capture for the switch was turned off by Gameloft so I can't get a video of it.

The only way to fix the "no event currently available" is to restart the game.

The photo is a few days old, but it looks the same today as it did then.

I've contacted Gameloft Customer Care and put in a ticket. They have got back to me twice saying
"Thank you for reaching out to us and for the information provided. We will forward it to our technical department for further investigation.
Please rest assured, we will do our best in order to resolve your issue with the event tab as soon as possible, but it may take some time."
There is nothing about this issue at Trello.

The last reply was 4 days ago. Unfortunately, I can't participate in anything DreamSnaps for now on Xbox platform. Good luck to all of you who can.

Still no voting today. I understand that it was said to wait and try again later, but I've tried just about every hour on the hour to no avail. I've noticed that console players have far worse luck than that of PC players in getting to vote, as there's been successful streams of PC content creators and the like getting to get through multiple rounds without issue. Who knows. I really would appreciate getting to vote before the deadline, though.

Issue: DreamSnaps touch of magic detection is overly sensitive. I was taking a photo at the edge of Dazzle Beach and it kept telling me I couldn’t submit my photo because of touch of magic items despite none being in frame. I eventually realized the items in question were all the way at the other end of Glade of Trust so they of course weren’t remotely visible especially not even being at the same elevation.

Issue: Voting Duplication - I was able to eventually vote without any issues, and even go past the 50 moonstone limit. However, there were times where the same submission was shown multiple times in a row. This would make it unfair if I ended up choosing their submission or not choosing it at all. It makes it feel as though there aren't enough people participating for some submissions to show up more than once. I'm sure that's not the case, but more variety and no repeats would be ideal long term.

Issue:There is several things I've noticed that have been glitching since the newest patch/update.
The word bubbles of the Disney characters aren't fully loading, The knee high socks are appearing on the characters neck,I can't access the store or the events going on some of my Moonstone chests aren't giving me moonstones. I will pick something up and it won't show in my inventory. There are several rock areas around valor that you can walk into like the one next to Elsa's cave. Characters keep glitching through furniture. The coconut boba tea picture isn't showing up on the menu list. Several outfits I earn in the game the dream snaps keep saying that it's magic touch items same with furniture. Which means I can't participate in the dreamsnap events. I'm very upset I spent a fortune on the game and I can't even play it.

Issue: like others, I still can't vote. I've tried at least 50 times, at different hours during the past two days - it keeps saying nothing is available; starting to get worried it won't be fixed by the end of the voting period. If that's the case I hope they'd at least give everyone the 50 moonstones we could have gotten by voting.. And maybe some further compensation if it goes on longer. Cause from my understanding people on PS were only supposed to be able to vote on other PS player's creations, so if no one can vote right now - we've all been putting work into our submissions and no one will ever get to see them, or have any chance at actually ranking or winning. Hopefully they'll address this soon, so we know if we should keep putting work into future submissions or leave it for now.

Actually, it was said that we DO get moonstones for Submitting a picture (300) , and also for voting (50). So 350 moonstones for participating (once the voting is finalized on Wednesday). sadly PlayStation players like us can’t seem to vote, so we miss out on the 50 stones. 😭 (I think this might be because they said that PlayStation players can only vote for other PlayStation players, and due to some error in the code NONE of us are able to vote.

Issue: Every day, every time I try to vote, the game says “there’s nothing to vote on right now. Please try again later”.

If PlayStation players can’t vote at all, that means none of our submissions will receive points from votes; this will probably give us an unfair outcome in rankings and rewards. (Could this be related to the fact that PlayStation players are in their own group for submissions and voting?) I pray that, if this doesn’t get resolved by Wednesday (the end of the voting period), we will get some form of compensation…either an extension to the voting period, bonus points added to our ranking score, or some moonstones; for the fact many PlayStation players can’t vote. 😭

PS4 player here, this dreamsnaps is really a little glimpse into multi player which many players are itching for. Since they can't fix this issue in a few days, they are far from being ready for any multi player game play.

Same here. That’s 700 moonstones we’ve lost out in so far, right? I wouldn’t have bought the Beach House if I had known we can’t earn free moonstones. We shouldn’t have to pay a monthly fee in order to access free moonstones. I’ve never signed up for Xbox live. Would we need to pay $10/month or $15/month?

You have to put the letter/number code attached to your account. Not your display name. The code can be found in the settings menu in the “general” section. Right under about there will be “show user ID” click that and the ID that shows up is what you type in the “Player ID” box, also for future reference you probably shouldn’t share that code with random people on the internet (you shouldn’t send a screenshot of your player ID to a public chatroom)

issue: saying I have ToM stuff in my photo when I clearly don’t.
Here’s my photo for this week’s dreamsnaps. I tried taking a photo and then deciding I didn’t like it. I went to a different angle and tried again. Then it tells me I have ToM in my photo which I never played any furniture or put ToM clothing on my character.
If I’m going crazy, then tell me. Cause I could’ve sworn my picture is just fine.
I even refreshed my game to see if it fixed the issue, it did not.

Update: So I ended up moving directions because in that direction I took it detected some ToM furniture I had in a whole other biome that’s not even in the frame. The sensitivity needs to be fixed for dreamsnaps

Platform Switch Issue Item wouldn't stay in place that I just bought from Scrooge store. Save after purchasing and before designing. Removing everything and save/quit. The next day the item was missing from inventory and wasn't listed in the collection page. The item was the Wicker Bar Stool. It did appear in the store 2 days later. This happened on a newer profile where money is harder to get.

It took forever for the dreamsnaps to let me send one becuase the filter was being picky. but a picture of a floor gets through? How is that possible. This was on pc>

I have been seeing repeats quite often, i saw the floor (yes now i realize the person took the picture at a different angle and was wearing the right clothing so it counted) one about 4 times. There has been quite a few repeats on pc and switch for me.

Voting takes way too long and then there are constant repeats. I saw plenty more but this pic, of the bridge repeating constantly, stuck out the most. I’ve been trying all week to find my kids pics cause they want to see em on there, so the pics repeating is frustrating. It should be changed to where you can scroll through all submissions, so there’s not an unfair advantage for photos that come up more than once. And also so it doesn’t take away from playing time so much. Think the dreamsnaps is a great idea. Voting just needs to be fixed to be more fair and efficient

I was having this same issue since the start, today I just kept spamming the voting and it actually brought up some options after a minute or so. I'd recommend giving that a try to claim the moonstones before it closes.

Spam pressing the vote button did allow me to vote for a small while on 3 occasions ( the longest being about 3 or 4 minute this morning before nothing to vote on reappears) but for the most part ' the nothing to vote on' message appears. Also when I did get to vote I was repeatedly show at least one of the same options the next time, sometimes both were the same and the pictures aren't anonymous like on other platforms. The picture of an empty corner also made an appearance on PS.

I received my rewards in the mail and was given enough pixel dust to get to rank 2 and that shows a reward of shoes. I didn’t actually get the shoes though. There was no pop up of a new clothing item on the screen and there wasn’t a red dot on my clothing collection indicating that I got anything new. I suspect the shoes were supposed to show up in the Dreamlight Valley category, but I only have the item from importing my avatar from the creator.

Idk if this is on purpose, but it feels very silly... With furniture items having multiple of the same item can be nice, but with clothing... It doesn't even show up as if I have those clothes twice now 😦 I also didn't get the rank 2 shoes...

Edit: I found the shoes at the bottom of the shoes section! They just don't show in the collection.

Its brown and green but I do agree I tried everything last night to get enter a picture in for the challenge and could not achieve one that met the requirements 🤦🏼‍♀️ I even made a custom dress (Green with brown pattern and leaf) after I had tried all the clothes I had that I thought met the requirements and still got no where.

As I mentioned above tried all possible options and had the same result as you I tried giving my character green hair as well and it still said I had only two green items 🤦‍♀️ she was literally wearing a full green dress, green necklace and a green bag I then put all the brown items I had down in my house which did nothing same with outside.

Issue: not receiving dreams snap awards for the first round for the ball.

I checked Wednesday yesterday and today and still nothing. This is what it appears on my screen no indication of getting anything. Nothing is showing up and I know that I did do it and I kept a photo of my submission.

I did report it as a bug. It said somebody would be getting back to me, and so far nobody has a check my spam folder and nothing.

This isn’t a guaranteed solution but it might work: try spamming the vote button. Proof? Im on PS4, I tried it, and eventually it worked. I was able to vote for these last 2 weeks. But it worked for me during the last 2-3 days leading up to Wednesday. Even if it doesn’t work, you have to keep trying…because it will Eventually.

Issue #1: every single reward I’ve received from the treasure box for dreamsnaps rewards have all been items I’ve already owned for a long time, so I’m not actually getting any rewards.
Issue #2: I have been voting for nearly 2 FULL HOURS and it’s never ending. It’s also all the same snaps just repeating randomly. I always vote until there’s nothing further to vote on to ensure that every entry available to be voted on gets a chance. But I have an entire set of pics now of snaps I’ve gotten 7-10 times. Again, it’s been 2 hours of voting and I’m going to have to just close out and hope that there aren’t some snaps the glitch has kicked out and may not get seen, meaning those snaps won’t ever be able to be voted on.

I’ll post several of the snaps I keep getting over and over again. But keep in mind that this isn’t even all of them…

That these people are getting seen many times when some are not getting seen at all. That's probably why I'm doing so bad in the results to.

Xbox One: I’ve placed well over 20 “Strong” and “modern” furniture items in my living room, but when I take a dream snap it’s saying I only have 3 and 6 of these items. No matter how much I add or remove, it’s locked on this 3 and 6 figure. If I go out and take a random pick anywhere in the valley, and take a dream snap, you guessed it, it’s says I have 3 and 6 “strong” and “modern” furniture pieces.

Issue: I was finally able to vote after continuously trying for over an hour. I noticed while I was voting that I was given the same photos over and over again. I didn't notice at first until I kept seeing the same usernames on the photos. I seriously was given the same group of pictures at least 5 times and I don't think that makes the voting fair if they are only showing the same group of photos over and over again from the same people.

I had the same experience. I was able to vote after continuously attempting to vote. I would also see the same submissions. I at least got my 50 moonstones to vote but this still needs to be fixed on PS4.

Aug 23 Weds: (PS5)

During the Fire & Air Weds results, it did not bring us to the Pixel Dust MENU for our Pixel Dust reward and status. There are other members on PS5 whom stated this as well.

I don't know if they did this on purpose or if it's a bug. We may or may not have received our Pixel Dust rewards, it just didn't bring us to the MENU like it has every Weds in the past.

All other rewards were received.

I'm on switch and I've entered each one so far except the 1st. Last week when I tried to submit for the Rainbow one it kept saying submission failed due to unknown error. I tried the hotspot trick suggested on Reddit, but it didn't work. I was unable to submit my photo and am very upset because I worked hard on my outfit. There should be an alternate way to submit a photo.

Camera can be turned on and adjusted in the Forgotten's realm but cannot take photos.

Submitted a ticket to GL and never really got an answer? Both my ps4 are up to date as is DDLV, why are we being ignored? It isn't fair that we are unable to vote at all, I get the same message as everyone else here.

PS4 player,tried to vote after placing my picture for submission, not a chance . Haven't been able to vote once, and have submitted a picture every week. What's worse doesn't seem like any attempt has been made to correct this. The patch was weeks ago and that did nothing.

I thought they fixed the issue of people not getting their DreamSnaps rewards? I was able to get mine today for the "Dreamers Unite" challenge... But my father, and my niece both did not receive their rewards. Both of them are on Xbox Series X.

I'm really disappointed that the PS4/PS5 dreamsnaps issues have persisted this long, I've tried to remain optimistic but this is the sixth photo that I (and I'm sure many others) cannot vote on.
From my understanding the PS servers are different so what does that mean for photos that are submitted? How many can actually be voted on?

I hate to ask this, but I feel there needs to be some form of compensation afforded for how long this issue has taken to be fixed.

Issue: Detected items can be visible yet become undetected in the criteria if you move the camera or zoom just by a cm. It's very touchy & not fair because even though the same items are in view, it's not detecting them solely because I zoom out or move left/right.

I didn't receive any rewards this week. All other weeks I received them. This week I have not. It was for the Disney challenge. People in my group are getting rewards from the rainbow challenge. I already got my rainbow ones. Just not for the disney challenge. It was a decor challenge. Not an outfit one. I play on ps4.

Well, I am officially DONE with this DreamSnap challenges that is full of bugs & failed rewards. Again the rewards didn't come in (4 times out of 6) that I wasnt rewarded for completing them, and I even made sure the criteria's were met every time. I contacted Gameloft, even submitted a ticket which they responded to me and called me a liar saying i have never participated in DreamSnaps event.

I know most of us have completely given up at this point, but a majority of PS4 users still can’t vote in Dreamsnaps, even utilizing the “keep trying over and over to no avail” method. I’ve kind of resigned myself to it, but I’d love to eventually be involved. Part of me wonders if the issue would be resolved altogether if Sony would just stop being stingy and allow cross play— as this kind of issue is more likely to be their fault of the forced isolation of PlayStation DLV players. Hoping for the best cause I’d love to actually see people’s submissions 😔

Issue: DreamSnaps Contests - Cannot submit picture because it’s saying I am using “Touch of Magic Items”.
I do not use the Touch of Magic feature, so I know there no Touch of Magic items in the photo.

NOTE: The only thing that I can think of that may be causing this problem is I do change the color of my hair, maybe that’s triggering the error thinking it’s custom item.
Please fix we our losing out on Moonstones and prizes.
