EDIT (29/05/23): After launching a new save, despite everything being set exactly the same, all items have once again disappeared 😭😭

Issue: For over a MONTH now I cannot connect to the cloud and have no access to store or events, and if I understand correctly, I completely missed out on an entire event. Neither when starting the game, nor in-game am I able to connect to the servers. When using different computer, which is able to use wifi, I was able to connect using mobile data, but I can't really play this way

Issue: "Cannot sync your data with the cloud right now"
For the last several weeks at least (I have not been playing as frequently, but I have been getting this issue every time I load up the game) every time I start the game, I get this error message. I choose "play offline" and the game seems to load normally and everything seems fine, though I'm concerned about what happens if there's some other issue and my saves haven't been backup to the cloud. At first I thought it might have been because I hadn't updated the XBox app (GamePass) but I did that the other day and still the error persists.

Issue: Failed to upload Cloud Save to Server. I haven't been able to cloud save for the last 2 months. I can play normally and connect to the internet but whenever I try to upload my save to the cloud it fails.

Issue: failing to save to cloud and unable to keep my local save. After 3 hours of game play my game crashed and I didn't save to the cloud. I tried to get back in and it sent me to a load cloud or local save screen. I tried for an hour to load my local play without luck. It said load failed. I then loaded my cloud save because I only lost 3 hours so it was fine. I caught back up to where I was and my game crashed again. This time I tried to save to the cloud but couldn't. When I went back into the game the same thing happened as before. I was unable to get in unless I was offline. So I went offline then in game and back online tried to save to the cloud and then I got the screen that said my game failed to save to the cloud again. But this time my game was in an endless loop of trying to save local over cloud or keep cloud. So I started over again. Logged in the same as last time and I still couldn't get into my local save that was 5 minutes past the cloud save. I tried multiple times with no luck. I can't save locally or on cloud.
Also everything I purchased from the star path and the premium shop are not on my inventory and I cannot buy because it says they have been purchased.

Issue: Ever since I got the game I have been unable to save to to cloud. Everytime I try it says failed to upload to the cloud. I'm worried that I won't be able to receive my twitch drops loot since I have claimed all of them but they aren't in my mailbox.

Issue: my game keeps saying cloud save conflict at the startup menu. It won't let me continue with the local save and if I pick to keep the cloud save option it won't cloud save again. It tells me that it can't cloud save and has local saved it. However it won't let me go into the local save

Issue: I have 188 hours played & cloud saves stopped syncing for me in October 2022 so I've been playing with a local save file. Ever since February's Festival of Friendship update when I continue my game with a wired internet connection I get a 'Game initialization error (#7)' crash. On opening the game again it forces an automatic cloud save recovery which overwrites months of local save progress with my last synced cloud save from October last year.
Thankfully I'd made a backup of my local save file folder: C:\Users#username#\AppData\LocalLow\Gameloft\Disney Dreamlight Valley on November 29th 2022 after hearing about other people losing all their progress.
The first time the cloud save auto recovered I immediately raised a support ticket & talked to people on this Discord in the hope someone could help me recover my local save file. I was scared to open the game again in fear that I'd just lost months of progress, I sadly missed out on the Centennial Star Path in this time. 😦
When support told me my progress was wiped, I tried to at least recover my November save file by copying it into the Gameloft folder but the 'Game initialization error (#7)' kept crashing the game & overwriting my save from the cloud.
I pleaded to support to please disable my cloud save account or log me out of cloud saves which the game wont let me do either. Then I tried launching the game without an internet connection & the option to continue my game was gone. Only New Game was available.
I tried launching the game with wired internet and the option to Continue was back, so I tried clicking continue and then disconnected my internet cable to try and bypass the cloud recovery after the 'Game initialization error (#7)'. This seems to have worked! I'm back in my village from November 29th last year with an un-synced 165 day old cloud save looming over me.

I will go to sign in and it will spin then do nothing after that. I login to the game and I don't have access to the shop or the events. Please don't make me miss Easter like we ALL missed Halloween.

About 13d into playing, I was logged out of the cloud save account I was logged into. Not too big of a deal since I only play on Steam via my desktop, laptop, or Steam Link on my phone (android).
However, I would love to log back in, but there's currently no option to replace the cloud save with the local save. Currently, logging back in brings up a "which save do you want to keep" and choosing the local save keeps me logged out of the cloud. The cloud save bring me all the way back to ~13d of play (the October 2022 update), which loses me a lot of progress along with the new Twitch Drops (which I finished claiming today). As of writing, my local save is up to date and I am at ~50d or play.

Upon Cloud Save recovery, makeup is inaccurate.
Eyeshadow and lipstick shades are completely different.
The selected avatar customization features do not match up to respective section selections.
Opacity has been reset to 100%
Freckles appear to have color selection automatically, and appear inaccurate as well.

Issue: Cloud save keeps failing. 5 days put of sync. I do not time jump and do not play on any other device either.
Nintendo Switch. “Failed to Save to Cloud” message. Always do a regular local save first, then do a cloud save. Checked internet connection - connected. Checked to ensure I was logged into for cloud save. First time I got the error I was not logged in. Odd because I had not logged out. Second time I was still logged in. Note - no time traveling on device regardless of game.

Issue: Same issue as Cymbolic. However, in addition - when trying to relog with Gameloft account, it doesn't appear to connect (pressing log in) brings up a little loading star, which goes away and returns me to the log-in fields, but I am still not logged into my cloud save account.

Issue: Since a login failure a few months ago, I cannot sync my local save with the cloud. Tough it was servers problems at first but a few months later still have the problem.

Game was fine until I got a notif I completed a Star Path task but could not actually collect it because the game refuses to connect. There are no issues with my internet; every other program (and other device) is working and connecting just fine. Tried restarting but it didn't help.

Ps4: One the start screen I get this conflict message of my online and local savefile. I only can load into my cloud savefile but it’s already over a month old because the game doesn’t save my progress to the cloud anymore for weeks (also not manually). So I’m basicly unable to play and progress since everytime I log in to play I get the same message and I can only select my old cloud savefile. Please fix soon cause I dont want to miss event or starpath rewards.

Sorry I forgot to take a screenshot but I'm playing on switch and pc. I recently played on my switch and I always do cloud save so whenever I play on my pc the progress saved. But this morning when I do cloud save in my switch it did save. But when I open it in my pc the progress is not there. I lost the progress overnight and this morning 😦

Issue: I can't save to the cloud, every time I try it will show up with an error message. My game says 35 days out of sync. I haven't played most of that time (I had to get my laptop replaced and was without a computer during that time. I played again yesterday for the first time on the replacement computer and after playing for 3 hours it wouldn't save to cloud to I saved locally instead. When I tried to log back on it pops up with message telling me the cloud and local saves are out of sync. It won't let me choose local save (the new save) and will loop back to the same pop-up. When I eventually chose Cloud it worked but still won't sync to cloud. So if I save locally only I have the same issue every time I log in, losing my game progress. So I can't play at all until this is fixed.

**Issue: **I cannot log into my Cloud Save from the main menu. I will enter in my email and password and I get the little star loading icon but nothing happens. If I enter a different password it will say it's invalid so I know I am entering in the correct credentials (I also reset the password as well, just in case, but I'm still having the same issue). Once in the game and past the main menu screen, if I go to Settings and then Help and click "Save to cloud" it says that the Cloud Save successfully uploaded to the server. The reason why I bring this up is because I have some items waiting in my mailbox but when I click "Claim" I get the pop up for "Cloud Save" and that it suggest syncing my account to the cloud before claiming. If I click "Connect (from Main Menu)" then I get the issue from earlier, so I do not want to click "Claim Anyway" as I don't know if I'm actually connected to my cloud save.

Issue: About a month ago, my cloud save came back, despite me disabling it, and now wrecks havoc upon my valley, as i cannot load the game in online mode without it asking me to keep my local or cloud save.
one problem, it will NOT let me choose local save, and now, i cant even choose cloud save! it just infinitely loops! even when i initially start the game in offline, switch to online and instantly try to upload my save to the cloud, it always fails, and im once again left in softlock limbo. i have not been able to play online for weeks.
i REALLY want to enjoy the new starpath, and my cloud save is so far behind id lose ALL of my items from the villains starpath from last year and i do not want that. not to mention the hours of agony of getting every villager to max friendship and doing all their quests.
i would rather listen to donald losing his mind at 400% volume repeat for 50 hours.
any help would be appreciated, and i am once again reaching out in case people have found a potential fix!

Issue: I bought the game for switch yesterday, was playing on Xbox previously. Now, unless I turn off my switch's internet it will not allow me to access the game at all. Meaning I'm unable to collect the star path rewards or access the shop. I don't want to click keep cloud save and loose two hours of game play. It will not allow me to select "keep local save" it just puts me in a continuous loop. 😔

Issue: ‘failed to recover last saved game’
When I try to log out of my account so I can log into it on another Xbox it says ‘failed to recover last saved game’ and gives me the options of ‘new game’, ‘cancel’, or ‘retry’. Therefore, I can’t log out because my progress will be lost
Why is no one at DDV addressing the Cloud Sync issue.
spamming the loop until it goes through eventually resolved it for me, it can literally take 10 minutes but if you have nothing else to do that would be your best bet.
Had the same issue on PC and XBox Cloud Gaming. Has happened multiple times before, often when it failed to save to cloud the day before.
Ahh, we tried for so long as we had to spam it to get it into the cloud on Xbox. But for some reason didn't work on switch, maybe I just have to try longer. I already lost my save from trying to keep cloud save but same thing the next time. I'll just quit playing until they fix it. I should have just kept playing on Xbox. 😅
Im having the same issue on PS4 with the conflict message and beeing unable to select local savefile and at the same time beeing unable to cloud save.

Hi I play on the switch and after I close the game and reopen it will say its out of sync. Then I sync it . It says sync then 5 min later it will out sync again. It get really repeative and is really frustrating. Please tell me how to fix this. Ty

Issue: My first cloud gave me the error which I will screenshot. In fear my mail would expire I made a second cloud save account and now, when I try to log into that one, I hit the log in button and it loads for a second then nothing happens. No error or anything. If I try to log into my last one it still gives me the error in my screenshot. I actually tried to make a 3rd account 😅 but it sends me a verification code but doesnt give me a place to enter that code in.

Issue: Attempting to load a local save on the main menu during "Cloud Save Conflict" option only does a continuous refresh. Connecting to a hotspot or Airplane mode does not solve this. Things done have had to be repeated as the cloud save wasn't the most up-to-date one.

Issue: I have tried everything that I can to upload my local save on my switch to the cloud so that I can play on PC and nothing works. It keeps telling me that it "failed to upload to cloud save", even after making a new account and trying again. Please fix this so I can play my game on my PC. Issue: My Steam save file didn't upload to the cloud last night, I didn't notice. I played this morning on my switch and redeemed the Community reward on it (Fences and path) and then realized that my Steam save file was not uploaded. I saved my Switch game, uploaded my Steam save, then went back to Switch and didn't realize that it made me lose the Fences and Path with no way of getting them back. The Mail says it's been redeemed already but they are not in my inventory

I’ve tried 3 times to cloud save but it refuses to save after thinking for a minute or more. I haven’t played for a couple weeks, just logged on to claim rewards. I claimed them fine and the game is behaving like it’s online.
Manual saving seems to work fine. I’m not super concerned as I only play on Switch, but I hope this doesn’t become a major problem.
Edit: Even after closing and restarting the game, it still refuses to save to the cloud. It thinks for about a minute then gives “failed to upload cloud save to server” error.

So I decided to make a new account instead, as I want to play the starpath safely and I am not getting a reply from the devs for a long time now (I have my local save). I got asked to fill out the code, that I got in my email. But there is no place to fill out the code. So yeah. Great system

Issue: Cloud save unable to sync, whenever I try to sync it continuously loads for a while, before telling me that its failed to upload the Could save. Including whenever I try to quit the game and save, it comes up with the 'Error Saving to Cloud'. I've been sat on these two screens trying to sync the cloud save for around 3-4 hours in total now and it continues to not save. (I do have a local save and am now starting to backup the files everytime I quit the game).

Have not been able to cloud save for over 24 days. It thinks for about a minute then gives “failed to upload cloud save to server” error. Have tried connecting to different internet connection. Restart device. All updates complete. Still have all the Easter stuff as well.

Issue: Cloud saves don't update automatically and when I do it manually It doesn't save. I do get a successfully synced confirmation. But upon starting the game the next time, the last sync is often long before it was supposed to be the last sync.

it hasn't been saving in the cloud for 2 days and if i want to do it manually i only get this message

Issue: I have to start the game I’m offline mode to Even get in, as the game will NOT let my local save overwrite my cloud save. And when I do get in, if I want to do any recent events and content, I have to go back into online mode. But then I get stuck in an infinite loop of it not saving my local file over my cloud. I also haven’t been able to access the store since the update. But I can’t show you that, since I get stuck in a loop. The only way to get out of it is to unplug my computer from the router. But then I’m in offline mode.

Issue: i can't play in my laptop, i download the game 10days ago, i can launch it but when the game ask to choose between cloud save or local save, it don't do anything : if click on Cloud Save, the game start but with 10 lag days, and i can't synchronize with the actual save. and if i choose Local save, it just launch the game, i can save my progression but when i restart my game, it's like i never play since 10 days.

Issue: Can not log on to Cloud Save with Xbox/Microsoft Game Pass.
It was synced to a friends Xbox Game Pass account, I wanted to play it on my own so I deleted the account/game off their Xbox Account and tried to log on to mine. Xbox/Microsoft said it's on Gameloft's end to delete/unsync the account tied to my cloud save. 🙁

I didn’t realise my progress wasn’t automatically saved to the cloud, but I learned about it today, so I wanted to save it for the first time after playing for about a month. I tried several times but always get this error message.
Well it seem to have corrected itself after I got off of work and tried again. Guess Game Pass was just glitchy.

Issue: unable to log into cloud save on xbox pc game pass - i typed the correct email and password and then it thinks but it doesn't log in. to test if the password is correct, i tried typing a wrong password and it error out by telling my email or password is incorrect, but when i typed the correct email and password; i don't get an error.
