Game Locked to 30 FPS on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox Cloud after Scar Update
Description:
We have observed that the game is locked to 30 FPS, instead of the expected 60 FPS performance.
This problem was previously fixed when the Scar update was implemented, but the issue has regressed and become prevalent once again after with the update that proceeded after the large Scar update. Players on Xbox Series X/S are experiencing sub-optimal performance due to the FPS, which greatly affects the overall gaming experience. This is widely reported on prior update threads, yet there has been no communication or acknowledgement from GL on the issue.
Steps to reproduce:
- Launch the game on an Xbox Series X console.
- Observe that the game is locked to 30 FPS instead of the expected 60 FPS.
Expected result:
The game should run natively on the Xbox Series X console at 60 FPS.
Actual result:
The game is locked to 30 FPS on the Xbox Series X console.
Workaround:
A temporary workaround has been discovered to address this issue. Players can go to the game's settings and reset the sound settings, which somehow boosts the FPS instantly in a noticeable way after exiting the settings menu. This has to be done every single time you enter/exit your house or any buildings.
- Navigate to the game's settings menu.
- Locate the sound settings option.
- Reset the sound settings by pressing X.
- Observe that the FPS increases instantly and noticeably.

While I am not having lag, I am kind of baffled that this has not even been addressed when it is the top issue in Xbox every single patch.
Im all for patience, but it has been months since it was removed & the devs have not so much as acknowledged even seeing the issue. Are devs even in this discord anymore??

All actions have a 5-20 second delay before it registers. Purchases from scrooges store, picking up items, running through companion drops, mining, digging, etc. Some companions also will agree to hang out, then immediately say goodbye and walk away. Prince Eric is the biggest culprit for this on all 4 profiles
Also we can not load the moonstone store at all on 3 out of the 4 player profile. One loads and was able to make a purchase but no other purchases will go through after that first one.
We have 4 players usings these devices.
We have restarted them, deleted and redownload the game, deleted all cache and save game files. It still will not correct this issue. Started after update 4 dropped
I did report the issue to Xbox as well as an issue but all other games are working for us like cod, elder ring ect.

The FPS issue was fixed in some updates ago (you can see in the archived thread in the screenshot), the update that proceeded afterwards regressed and reintroduced the issue, everyone on Xbox (happens on Xbox Series X/S, Gamepass and Xbox Cloud) has reported this widespread for nearly 3 major updates now and is literally falling on deaf ears. No acknowledgement from mods or devs at all. Please fix the broken FPS on Xbox- as I said, this is widespread, you only have to look at all the previous 'Xbox Performance issues threads'. The game is capped to 30 fps instead of 60. Comparatively, the PS5 version runs flawlessly, while Xbox users have a sub-par experience. @pliant swift <@&994257677192536106> ?

Hey Emma, thanks a ton for the amazing work you and the mods do to keep this such a wonderful cozy place for everyone! It'd be awesome if the mod team could pass on our concerns about the ongoing issue to GL staff. It's disheartening to not have the same experience as our PC and PS5 friends. Any sort of acknowledgment or update would mean a lot to us since we've been kept in the dark for so long, especially to those who have continually reported the issue over several major updates now. Please note that the Dev team/Gameloft will not respond in these threads, nor will they add all issues they are aware of onto the Trello. I understand how frustrating it can be to have an issue not be addressed or fixed. There's probably a lot going on in the backend that we do not see.

PC Xbox Game Pass: Unplayable due to 10 sec delay after every action.
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, adjusting graphics, changing the drive it was installed on etc. No changes. But if I play on my iPad through gamepass it is perfect.

have no clue when it started (even though i do think it's a possibility it started after i went through the clothing options for woody's "the illumination" quest i'm just not sure) but my character's body from the neck down is as you can see covered in different colors and it did not go away until i completely closed the game out and it was fine afterwards. it also happened to my sister on her account (we play on the same xbox) and this happened yesterday.

I am having trouble with my sound on XBOX 1. It is sounding garbled and has an electronic quality to it. It's not my xbox because none of my other games sound like that.

Xbox One. My critters are the same color every single day. Like the rabbits they are both black and white. And they vanish on you. If you chase the rabbits or fox till you can approach them once you click it they vanish and you can't feed them. So I'm guessing they are being like the flowers.
Also we need the 60FPS fixed. We have been waiting patiently and I have been doing the quick fix of going to settings and clicking default on the sounds and it works. BUT if you do it too many times it will crash the entire game. So I am constantly saving my game because it will crash and you will lose all progress. I only do it because when it is on 30fps it laggs so badly and hard to play. So this issue needs to be looked at. And my sound sometimes just quits. You end up playing in complete silence.
Also my characters slide everywhere. Nobody walks anymore. 🤷🏻

Issue: Cloud saves don't update automatically and when I do it manually It doesn't save. I do get a successfully synced confirmation. But upon starting the game the next time, the last sync is often long before it was supposed to be the last sync.

I don't know if this helps anyone but I fixed my lag by removing any pets and pet houses. For whatever reason, they were making everything slow.

It remains the most requested fix in this board & it isn't even on the Trello as a known issue. Communication started off amazing from the CM team and now it's...non existent beyond promotional tweets.
