When the secret door opens in the new story quest, there's a bunch of flashing multicolored lights at the bottom of the door. This seems to be a regular thing, as these lights have returned every time I approach the door
EDIT: At the end of the quest, the lights are still there, but you have to get a little closer before they appear
Update 3 on Nintendo Switch:
Flashes and camera shake settings are disabled
- ||Stuttering during open cutscene||
- ||Snowy haze (kind of like fog) outside in biomes||
- ||Blizzard visual effects in Frosted Heights. Visibility is low overall right now.||
- ||Characters faces and graphics have been redone slightly (Elsa so far)||
- ||Some items may appear blurry? I had this issue but others haven't. Mine cleared after rebooting.||
- ||Dark purple orb behind secret door has lightning effects (kind of like Tesla's machine).||
Which platform do you play on? I encountered the same thing but I’m curious if it’s a platform specific issue.
I'm on Mac. And it doesn't even get fixed after that first quest with Olaf is finished.
Okay me too. Seems that Mac is the only one I’ve seen reported so far. Thank you!
this game is way more stuttery, at least for me on PS5, than before the update. my character and camera stutters randomly for several seconds while doing pretty much anything. i also notice villagers stutter more often too, like how they did when mining, but now it's anywhere.
it's definitely giving me motion sickness and a headache.
edit: could also potentially be an issue for those with epilepsy
Is there anyway to increase the text size
Not at this time. It has been suggested many times in #1024323371309224098. Feel free to request in there as well. We hope it helps show the need for it.
I noticed that I couldn't see or notice the sparkles on dig spots or when getting the red potato in remy's kitchen. I couldn't even see the dig spots untill I was on top. Not usre if there is a graphic issue or not.
Fog can be very hard to see through. Almost too hard to see obstacles in the first until your right there in forest of valor and frosted heights
Just saw this in one of the bug threads, wanted to make sure you all knew.
^ This also happens with a few other freezing infinite load glitches this update; had it happen once while placing other items
(to bump)
When you walk by the mini Casita, the doors/windows move and there are lights that flicker. We can’t disable this specific house’s animations, so be careful, to those who are photo sensitive or dont do well with flickering lights
So I read that there will be a hot fix in the next week. We'll see what happens then...
Bump ahead of today's update

Update warning for visual sensitivities!!
There's little butterflies that randomly are showing up and flitting about. I'm on switch and they're really glitchy and kinda flashing up right in front of the camera. IDK if other platforms are having this issue, but it's a possible seizure trigger
THANK GOODNESS FOR THIS THREAD! I didn't even realize it was a thing or I'd have posted it over here myself. 💕🫂 Stay safe out there and I'll be sure to post if I come across anything else.
I don't get seizures so if anyone needs to me test anything on Switch, please feel free to ask! I'm happy to help in the ways I can. My accessibility needs are for different categories.
Also, can someone post/link that this thread exists over in the requests thread? I'm on mobile and can't right now. I want to make sure those that need to know do know that this is here
I posted this is the visual bugs thread but I encountered some flashing with the tea cup ride from the Star Path. If you're not really close to it then the lighting glitches in a flashing pattern and it keeps glitching/flashing until you get closer. For reference, I'm on Switch and i placed it in the Forest and it's evening (the lighting is normally funky after like 6pm). The tea cups rotate and spin so it seems like a lighting glitch.
the reflection from either sun or moon on the water has given my migraines and bad headaches, luckily can just turn the camera to avoid it but can also change the ingame time in settings to fix it
Bump for The Remembering update
I have been informed the remembering update may be triggering for people with depression. Please don't over do yourselves at once
Switch graphics are very laggy and buggy, worse than before. Use caution if you are sensitive to graphics glitching or flashing. It's not OVERLY crazy, but I could see it being triggering to some people and their conditions.
The worst issues I've encountered are npc models skipping frames while walking (like we're talking 10 feet jumping backwards or forward) and random text bubbles popping up on screen very quickly and going away quickly while you're walking around.
Adding to the above on Switch, I keep trying to exit furniture mode after moving an NPC house and the screen keep flashing with the save graphic over and over.
Specifically, the save star graphic spins and flashes repeatedly and the background flashes with a dim opaque light.
did you try restarting the game (excluding force close and restart)? thats what solves it for me on laptop. also moving only a few things and then closing the furniture mode helps to prevent it (and if needed can reopen and continue after, just close and reopen regularly)
Yes, had to restart because it was stuck and any button I pressed didn't do anything.
I'm also careful in furniture mode - saving before and after, and moving one thing at a time generally.
I've just never encountered it so wanted to share with others in case they are photosensitive or prone to seizures.
that restart because its stuck means force close, I suggest restarting an additional time
I was able to fix it myself an hour ago. Like I said, the only reason I reported it in this thread is to warn others of this potential issue in case it will affect their health.
not 100% sure it fits here, but if you put the graphics preset setting at medium or higher on pc, it gives 3d grass which can make it hard to see items. putting it at low or lower will make this disappear and therefore easy to find items (especially garlic in the forest). just a thing I just found out, makes the game a bit less pretty but it helps
There's some music in the game that can't be lowered and is extremely loud (have tried with all adjustment bars). It's mostly the character engaged ones (like the Mickey & Friends music that plays) and also the one for (spoiler for quest) ||the rift thingies that are appearing||
Update 5 - worsening flashing glitches in furniture mode, on Switch and on pc, often when moving furniture in a view close to player view full screen rapid flashing. Have not seen it occur when zoomed very far out - Example at 8:05:23 here - https://youtube.com/live/VlqbEgAcP3Q?feature=share
individual characters flashing repeatedly when doing their idle animations- moana dancing near oregano plant she rapidly shifting in the dancing making her have fuzzy glitchy weird new appearance that could be an issue for some
Playing the new Disney Dreamlight Valley update - The Remembering with Fairy God mother, the pumpkin house, wonder of pixar star path, wall e dream pack, new...
Believe I experienced a similar issue with Prince Eric skipping frames (moving both backwards and forwards quickly) while he was also stuttering/flickering between the Orb in the Sunlit Plateau and the curve of the river in front of it
Yes, especially with stitch playing his instrument or mirabel just existing
This has happened to me multiple times (tonight it actually triggered a seizure). For context, I play on PC with Steam.
I'll be in furniture mode, and when I go to exit, the game basically crashes & the screen flashes rapidly. DO NOT WATCH THE ATTACHED VIDEO IF YOU ARE PHOTOSENSITIVE
Yeh it's a known issue, I just regularly close furniture mode and restart the game every hour to prevent it as much as possible
