I'm currently on the quest with Woody with the pajama party. I'm supposed to place the blanket castle. I placed these in my house. But now I can't get rid of them. The remove button is missing. I can't get them out of my house anymore and now I can't complete the quest. I can't restore them, and neither does Scrooge have it

Game started crashing after the newest update. Everytime a window pops open, like in the restaurant when you offer food. Or when a new critter is open. Or when on the rarest occasion I get a gift thd window that pops up. All of these windows that pop-up crash my system everytime.

I’ve submitted an offical report to gameloft about it so I think if you do the same it’ll get them to help out sooner if they know more people have the same issue

Game freezes/locks up every time I level up friendship with a character.
I will level up the friendship, then the game defaults back to the last bit of conversation before I leveled. It stays on that screen and there's no way to ESC or quit out of it without force quitting the game.

It's happened so far with Mickey, Goofy, Remy and Merlin.

Longest time before being unceremoniously dumped to desktop is about 5 minutes.

Platform: Steam/PC .When talking to either Buzz or Woody in their quests the game freezes in the speech box. Characters still running around in the back ground but cannot esc out of the speech boxes, I have not had any issues until this latest update. I have to hard start my PC.

1. Cant connect to save cloud and cant bc of it check out event, open blue chests. My internet is working just fine. Tryed to restart pc. And also its been already like 3-4 days this problem...
2. When i quit game, steam write that its still running. It is in a background processes in a task bar. Also, when i force to cancel it from task bar it just stays there. And when i quit steam normally to fix it, it just infinite message from steam "waiting untill disney will close". So only helps in this case to close steam by shutting it from task manager

Issue (Include Error Codes): Initially I couldn't load the game. I restarted my PC and made sure everything was up to date. As a last resource, I attempted to uninstall and reinstall the game, but it is giving me an error code: 0x87e00017

I have already submitted the bug, but I'm finding it strange that I seem to be the only one having this issue?

(Note: Issue has been resolved, but I wanted to note it here for the dev team and for anyone else who may be having a similar issue and this may work for them.)

Issue: Whenever I clicked the settings button in game (At the start screen or within the actual game) my entire PC would crash and immediately restart. No error message or warning. I thought it may be a graphics card thing so I updated my graphics driver, but the same issue kept occurring. Finally tried uninstalling the game and then re-installing the game and that seemed to resolve the issue. Game runs without issue now 🙂

I picked up a memory for Buzz's quest and I couldn't get out of the memory. It just frozen. The sound/music keeps playing in the background and I still can hear others characters nearby. Had to get out of the game using the Task Manager.

Issue: When I have a character with me inside my house and I try to leave one of the expanded rooms to the main room (with exit to the valley), the PC freezes and my avatar gets stuck on the walking animation with no way to interact with menu or anything.
I have to close it manually from the task manager.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry.....I bet we might have to wait for the patch update to fix these things when ever that will be. I've been reading through alot of these bugs and issues problems it is alot of bugs people are dealing with....I'm just afraid this is going to take a long time to fix.

Issue: I have two laptops, one of them the game works perfectly fine but the other one started opening the game in a little window recently. It worked fine at first, I even live streamed it on Twitch. But it's been a while I'm trying to fix it. I tried some solution available on steam but it doesn't seem to work at all...

Issue (Include Error Codes): When Buzz levels up from a conversation, after showing the level screen, it goes back to the dialog box and freezes. ESC does not work, game has to be CTL-ALT-DEL shut down.

It probably will, I’m gonna focus of leveling up woody and buzz and some others so when quests start working again I can just do them all lol. After that if it’s still not fixed then I’m gonna finish decorating my valley I suppose

Issue: Game softlocked when I tried to exit my house. Character walking animation is infinite, button presses do nothing. Camera rotation is the only functional feature. Had to alt + tab and force-stop the game through Steam.

Having issues with the level up. I would in a conversation with ANY character and if they happen to level up in the middle of that conversation my game will get stuck. I can exit out of the screen, get to title menu, or continue the conversation. I have to force the game to shut down. Anyone else had this issue before or is it a known bug?

Happened 2 times before, disapeared itself after game got updates 3 days later or so last times. This time i got locked first 3 days after update on the photo mode stuff, game crashed everytime that quest got fixed and i was trying to take the photo. Took a couple days break from gaming, and now i¨m with this problem. I did sent a note from this same problem, with the same code earlier, finally got reply couple of weeks ago saying that the next update already happened so it should have been fixed(witch it was, because it was months old) and to make sure i have Wi-Fi on. Like i can go to internet browser and watch like youtube, so i should have Wi-Fi on properly? Like is that what the problem is supposed to be?(that wi-fi is offline?)

Hey! I have found an annoying problem that pops up every now and then. After several weeks and hours in the game, I started getting code errors and then need to turn off the computer's security protection - Deep guard -. Had this problem before, but now the error code popped up again and I have to go in and turn off deep guard to be able to open the game. This is something you should look into. I'd rather not turn off something that reduces my computer's protection.

Takes me a few tries to get the game to boot up. I get past the Gameloft logo, the Dreamlight cycles once behind the Steam tab popup and then freezes, like clockwork. Takes me about 6-10 tries to get in.

Issue: Crashes have been progressively more common since last night. I couldn't get past the opening screen, simply hovering over the "Continue" button was enough to crash my computer. Reinstalled the game and that seemed to fix that issue, but now it seems my computer crashes at random within a few minutes of play. I'm not sure what would have changed within the game files to make this happen.... the only thing which I can think has changed within my game save specifically is ||I've reached part two of the stitch quest this morning where I found goofy's sock in the meadow and am now waiting for the final piece of the quest to trigger within the next 5 days or so.|| Other than this, nothing else within my game files have changed.
Unfortunately no error screen pops up or anything else. My computer simply goes to a black screen and I'm forced to reset.

Issue: twice today I've had to hard restart because the game stops responding to the key commands. I know the keyboard itself is working fine because I can hit the windows key and exit the game. The first time was after a night thorn explosion where I couldn't move to gather the coins. The second just happened- I picked up a memory shard and it gave me a piece of a picture. I hit esc and the menu went away but the picture was still displayed and I couldn't use the keyboard.

Issue: game randomly freezes multiple times throughout my time playing and has to be force closed and restarted. This has been on-going since I purchased the game a few weeks ago and has not gotten any better with the last 2 updates. When playing for 2 hours, for example, it will freeze and have to be closed and restarted anywhere from 5-10 times. Every time this happens I lose whatever progress I made if I didn't remember to save after every action I did...

If I try to click, I get a Microsoft window that says "waiting for program to respond." and it ask if I want to close or wait on the program. I have tried waiting to see if it ever unfreezes and nothing happens.

Steam updated and my crashign issue was fixed for 3 hrs. After spending some time decorating the game crashed as I was exiting the decorating UI and now the game will load and immediately crash every time. It is working on the switch but not on Steam again.

Issue: Since the 12/06 update, particularly when I do anything with the Socks quest, my game will randomly crash my entire PC to the point I have to reboot. The first two crashes it was just my monitors acting as if I'd shut them off while my PC remained active. The last several have been the entire PC crashing. No timeframe/particular activity that I've noticed triggers it; I can be standing still while I'm waiting for a mining node to refresh and it will just crash. This is the only game that does this on my PC.

Sorry this is long, but I'm trying to be detailed.

Issue: random freezes, my char stuck in animation
Characters: So far Minnie, Maui, and Remy.
~I was Hanging out with Minnie while foraging (her assignment) and went to Scrooge's then tried to exit, my character got stuck in a walking animation and I could not exit the door, access map, or perform any actions, I had to restart the game.
~With Maui I was hanging out mining (his assignment) in Sunlit Plateau and three times he trapped me next to the rock place, I got stuck in walking animation, and I could not move him nor access my map and had to exit the game.
~With Remy I was in the Plaza doing a daily discussion. Friendship leveled up to 7, I think, and after the animation it went back to the previous line of dialogue, I clicked a response option again, Remy scampered off screen and the dialogue was frozen on my screen and I was unable to exit dialogue or input any commands. I had to exit the game.
In all three instances restarting the game fixed the issue and there was no penalty or roll back. All characters seemed to be at the levels I left them at and items in my inventory were all apropriate as well (i.e. with Remy I had just handed out some fruitcake, with Minnie I had harvested crops, with Maui I was mining.)

Issue: After going to the Menu Screen, it will start to lag and then you can no longer go between tabs and get stuck on the map that looks like my screenshot. No key input from a controller or keyboard is recognized at this point as well. Only fix is to reboot game, but I wait about 5 minutes to ensure at least one save has been made.

Anyone else having this issue? I will be doing something, literally anything, and the game seems to crash? All the characters are still walking around, talking etc.. I just can’t get out of the thing I’m doing.. has happened 4-5 times in as many days and it’s really frustrating! Only fix I have found is completely rebooting the game but that doesn’t seem to be a long term fix.. I’m playing on PC Game Pass

PC: Not a crash to desktop crash, but I have to force quit because it got stuck in a frozen action and my character is just walking towards the door in Donald's boat but won't go out and the game won't let me interact or press buttons or anything. All I did was accidentally enter his house trying to pick up a clam and then turn around and try to leave.

Issue: Game blue screened following cut scene of rocket crash. Force stopped game via Steam and it replayed the cut scene again when the game reopened. However, there was a visual glitch where I only saw green flames and no rocket in the scene after the crash.
Was able to continue the quest as normal but never received a character welcome screen for stitch, even after placing the house.

I cannot get pass a black loading screen after the two logos. i have tried everything I can find online. It's been like 3 weeks, pretty much right before the main holiday event stuff went live. This only started after i refreshed my Win11 because of windows UI slowdown issues (separate non-game issue) Tried the different platform update trick and nada, redownloaded about idk 6-8 times now, nothing. updated everything, changed settings, nada. Always this loading bar that will not go past 99.9% and i can tell it fails as soon as the diamond stops spinning

I have seen many people post about this, but this "crash" happens to me at least 3 times within an hour, and it's so frustrating because at times it will be a few minutes since the last save and I end up having to redo some stuff. Same thing with collecting the memories. I always have to save before completing quests or picking up memories, just to ensure I don't lose any progress I made the last few minutes.

Issue: Levelling up Friendship through conversation always takes me to the most recent dialogue the character said and then locks up the game. I have to force quit and restart. Happened with Anna, Eric, and Scar so far.

It has been over a month that DDL will not run on my PC. I have all the required specs, I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have cleared my download cache on steam and un-reinstalled. Nothing is working. Sometimes I get this error and sometimes I can play for 1-2 minutes before it crashes.

My game isn't crashing but each time my avatar levels up while talking to a character it freezes and goes to the last message option it had right before leveling up. This is the second time in one session my game has froze on its screen. The characters in the background continue moving and i assume my game is still saving because i wait before closing it and i haven't lost progress yet but i did want to report this just incase it hadn't been reported yet.

I have it on PC through steam by the way.

Issue: When I leveled up a character, the game seemingly freezes and I can't do anything. The above comment is also true for me - the screen gets stuck on the character message. I have this game through Steam as well, and have no issue using the controller with that game. I am not able to play games without a controller, so I'm quite honestly looking at having to get a refund. Epic has already said that this is not something they can fix on their end.

So i've had the game just over a week and its been reinstalled 7 times. due to an error saying no driver. also it crashes when i'm leveling up characters if it his you've asked them how they are and then it levels up and then crash. I've have multiple issues with crashes, fustrating

I have got ultimate edition on 9/11 and I have not been able to go online once after that whenever I played the game it has always been offline and that means I am unable to cloud save as well. Once ı have lost all my progress and had to start again after that I also lost all the perks I got from the ultimate package. Now I can only play the game offline and I have tried every solution on the internet to fix the issue but nothing worked.

With the new update to Steam’s remote play aka Steam Link, Dreamlight Valley no longer works at all. The old version of remote play (from about a week ago) worked fine. There seems to be something wrong with how the game perceives the correct host resolution, since it does start (you hear music, etc), however the game window is super tiny. If you use Alt+Enter you’ll get a very blurry version of the menu due to it upscaling that tiny window to the full size.

Issue: Game crashes when leaving the Furniture mode. Its either screen (with loading sign on it) keeps flashing, you can zoom in/out or open/close 'F' tab, but nothing else beside these works. No other way to save&exit the game beside ALT+F4.

Issue: "fast travel" freeze: I'm playing on a gaming PC, with high processing power, and still, it's happening a lot, getting the "fast travel" window freeze when i teleport with the wells. I've been shutting down and restarting the game, when this happens. But it's happening a lot. 😦 Hopefully, that will be fixed in the next update. thanks.
