Issue: I made three different types of cookies and ate them for the dreamlight duty called "Cookie Taste Tester", and when attempting to collect the reward, I'm stuck at the collection screen and can't click continue! Hitting any button gives me the click sound, but nothing happens.

Issue: The "Festive" event is clearly just a "Christmas" event and attempts to call it something more inclusive are transparent and insulting. Non-Christian players are given only a single decoration in the form of either a Menorah or Kinara that are just new craftables and not associated with the event. Explaining to my Jewish kid, who plays the game with me, why her "memories" are all of a holiday she doesn't celebrate and never has are an unwelcome burden on me as a parent that I shouldn't have to worry about when playing a family game using a popular, secular IP. Simply adding latkes, additional decorations like dreidels or packages wrapped in Hanukkah colors instead of just red and green would have allowed me to pick them as alternatives to the fruitcake and red/green decorations as an option, but there's no option to not indulge in Christmas with this farce of an event.

Platform: PC - Game Pass
Issue: Same as 3rdEchelon mentioned, completed a seasonal achievement and when trying to collect the item it gets stuck on this screen. I have to force close the game within task manager to get out.
Edit: Upon restart I did have the item in my inventory and the achievement completed, so it doesn't interfere with obtaining the item.

Issue: I don't know if it's an issue so much, but one of the tasks is to pick a bunch of red flowers, and this can be hacked by picking up a red flower and dropping it and then picking it up again. It increases the counter for every time you pick it up even if you literally just dropped it.

Issue: When including a menorah in the game (especially in the same update as you add the functionality for turning lights and flames on and off), please consider that each night a different number of candles are lit, and that it's not a binary on/off thing. If you can't make a culture's iconography work correctly, then just leave it off.

Issue: I unlocked Mickey’s holiday costume and equipped it while he and I were in Chez Remy, now Mickey is walking around inside the restaurant and I’m unable to exit,

Edit: restarting corrects it but it appears to soft lock the game if you don’t shut down out of it

Issue: so I've done the Golden potato code when it came out and still have not gotten anything. Checked my mailbox everyday, my items, and still nothing. Cloud save has not been an issue and followed all other instructions to no avail.

PC: Steam Trying to have festive fish spawns on the beach and forgotten lands since this morning, took a break for lunch but its 4:20pm and this has taken hours. Taking this long is a bit excessive if the spawn rates are suppose to be a bit more tricky, which I understand. But this is way too long, for no spawns showing.

Issue : trying to fish for the festive fish and the fishing rod won't actually cast into the bubbles. Tested to see if normal fishing works and it does. Only the festive fishing spots do this. I cast the pole and immediately after I cast the rod auto reels back in basically.

Issue: Festive squid is gone from chest. Some said it's possible I cooked it, but I don't think so. If I did, it's sort of stupid to have a rare item be the first choice to be auto-picked when cooking, especially when you can't sell it. Are respawns possible?

Issue: Where are my festive stuff from Scrooge?? Only got the green present. There is space in the store, cause this is how i got in... a table and table lamp (i already own) where other stuff should be with empty spots! The other table with the little furniture, i own those 4 too..

Am i even getting the stuff before Christmas??

Issue:festive fish, I stored them immediately and they autofilled into a recipe that I had 50 normal fish in storage for. The did not see the hat in the thumbnail when cooking (too small). I would like my festive squid and angler back if they were a one time get. My others are now sitting on the ground.

Issue: same as above, it auto filled that fish, and you seem to only be able to catch each type once total, even though a lot of articles are saying once a day. Seems wonky to make this the fish that auto fills, and then not let us catch more. Would be nice to be able to catch more for us who make this mistake, and to not have these limited fish be auto fill for food, kind of like how they're greyed out for selling.

Edit: I finally got the festive fugu, and it was raining. I found the circles by the bridge but only after it started raining.

Issue: I'm clearly not the only one, but sometimes the loudest issues get the grease, so: Because they are valued at zero, festive fish are the first taken when using autofill, and that's how I accidentally lost my favorite, the Festive Anglerfish. Super sad, particularly since I can't replace it. Would recommend in the future when having similar items, a (hidden) high price be assigned so it doesn't get taken. Or you know, just don't make them cookable. Worst return on sushi ever.

I was on almost all day the other day, it rained ONCE, and that ONE time, the festive fishing hole showed up, but the game bugged and wouldn't let me cast into the hole. It hasn't rained since, and I cannot catch the last festive fish. Is this going to be another festive event I can't finish b/c of a buggy game?

Issue: Just found out my Festive Anglerfish (after much heartache fishing him) is GONE. Poof! Vanished. 😭
Reading everyone's comments on here causes me to believe I cooked him using the autofill option. Why does the autofill go for the rarest fish first? It usually goes for the least valuable option, not the rarest! It's frustrating to say the least. Will I need this fish for anything? Who knows. Really want my fish back. He was the cutest of the bunch.

Platform PS5: I fished 4 of 5 festive fish the first day, anglerfish never spawned. And festive fish have not spawned after the first day 😓. Wrapping paper and everything else does though. So I guess I'm not getting a festive anglerfish or the duty 🥲

Tying a limited time event requirement to a rare in-game event is poor design. It hasn't rained in my game for over a week during my hours of play. You know this is how it can work yet are gatekeeping players who cannot sit in the game 12+ hours a day waiting for rain.

Issue: I have made 7 shiny gifts, that show in my pockets, 7 handcrafted gifts, that show in my pockets.

However, I have made 14 Delicious gifts, none of which have shown up in my pockets (2 batches of 7; two tries). I have done the same with the naughty gifts: 14, 2 tries of 7 each, with zero gifts to show for it.

It’s completely wasted my resources. Some of which, I’ll never get back, because it’s an event. And this is after your game chose our festive fish first to cook anything that required any of those fish. Not cool Gameloft. I’m starting to rethink paying the full amount, plus some, for the best edition for my switch too. So many resources I work so hard to get. That’s a super sucky feeling, friends.

Issue: For this Christmas event, I haven’t gotten any of the event drops (i.e gift wrap, festive fish and there’s no Christmas tree in the castle). I had this same issue during Halloween, where no candy would spawn at all the entirety of the event.

Hello, can someone help me with the Festive fish issue ? In fact, I just need the last fish hidden in the “forgotten lands” to succeed the Christmas quest. But I can’t find this fish. Is there a time limit for fishing it? did they disappear afterwards?

@coral bough I don't know if it is in the same spot for everyone on all platforms. But my Fugu was by the waterfall/ Bridge that connects both sides of Dazzle Beach

Holiday Fugu will not spawn. Rain won't do it, moving all the houses elsewhere won't do it. I can't finish the quest!

@vale sierra I also couldn't find anything documented about it but can confirm that once the festive event items disappeared from the Valley (the tree and decorations in the castle, the wrapping paper, etc.) that I also stopped seeing any of the red and green fishing spots. I didn't rush to complete them because I assumed I had plenty of time and I hadn't opened up all of the biomes as quickly as I could have. It's disappointing but not terrible. Next year we'll be able to finish really quick. 🙂
