Stuck trying to talk to buzz. After crafting his space ship, the quest states to talk to buzz. When attempting to talk to buzz, this happens. No menu appears, i can rotate the camera but cannot open menus, maps or do anything other than change the camera angle.

Issue - something odd is happening with Kristoffs stall. If I click on an item I can buy as many as I want, but can also go into reverse numbers. If I do that then the number I can buy is limited and the item then deletes.
I'm confused as to what is happening.

Issue: Fishing does not appear as an option for Ariel to have as a hangout skill. I planned to have her as a fishing companion since... you know... she's a mermaid?

I hope this is a bug because I was really looking forward to being able to fish with Ariel next to me.

Oh and I couldn't exit this menu without choosing either so I had to pick something else... I'm actually furious about this

Issue (Include NPC Name): Anna, at the end of the daily dialogue she leveled up, afterwards it returned to her dialogue at the last point of choosing option in the daily discussion with her, but she walked away and I am stuck inside the dialogue, even if you select an option it doesn't do anything except hide the choices. Can't even pull up menu or anything, just stuck. Must close game and reopen to continue.

Do you have an active quest for him? Sometimes characters follow you if you have a quest for them active. I'm currently doing Woody's 'Failing Better' quest and he's following me and Moana around.

Issue: Companion NPC doesn't get out of the way and blocks exiting doorways, causing an endless loop where the user avatar tries to path to the exit. The user then has to force quit the game.
Possible Solution: Please program the companion NPC to move every once in a while and eventually they would move enough that the user can complete exiting the door.

Issue: Companion NPC in the way of an exit causes Character to enter an loop when trying to exit a room. Issue has existed already during the Halloween Update. This has happened multiple times, usually the character eventually uses the exit but today is the first time the character has been stuck for 15+ min. The issue does not seem to be dependent on certain NPC or room. Besides the camera, none of the controls work, I have to alt +F4.

Issue: When going to talk to WALL-E this evening I clicked to start talking to him and no dialogue came up, instead our avatars are stuck idling next to each other with no options to progress. I'm completely unable to exit the conversation, attempting to open settings doesn't work, the only way to leave is to come out of the game completely and close from task manager.

NPC: Kristoff, Merlin, and various other characters
Issue: Getting stuck leaving buildings/interfering with gardening. The characters basically become immovable objects when you ask them to hang out. Occasionally when I go to leave a building they are also in the doorway and my character ends up endlessly stuck in a walking animation which freezes up the entire game, and the companion does not move out of the way. I've had to Ctrl/Alt/Del my game several times now since the update. The characters have also have become more annoying than usual when gardening. They still invade your personal space entirely too much (why do they basically have to stand on top of you to throw out your bonus items?), but now it's even more annoying because most of the characters I regularly ask to hang out become solid and unable to be moved around. For example, when you are digging on the beach or digging up plots for planting, the companions get right up in front of you to throw out your bonus items but now since the update they are like a brick wall and it interrupts the auto digging. Usually when you are digging and they get in your way, they are automatically pushed to the side and out of the way. I know I can still fence them in but it would be nice to have them just stay out of the way in the first place.

Issue (Include NPC Name): I've had this issue with various NPCs. Since the last update, if a villager levels up by having a daily discussion with them, the question they last asked before leveling up will reappear. When I select an answer again, the selection boxes disappear, but the NPCs text box does not. The NPC will walk away as if the conversation is over. I am then stuck with none of the buttons responding and have to force quit the game through Steam.

Issue: Cannot push NPC out of the way therefore I'm stuck in the mine and Minnie is blocking my way. I took a mining buddy into the mine with me and I mined the node across the bridge (the one you had to raise as part of Scar's quest), so now the NPC is blocking the way. You could sort of push them out of the way and get past. Now you can't they get in the way and there's not much you can do other than literally quit out and come back in. I had issues with Maui before when I was fishing. He's so damn massive and would get in the way and you couldn't push him. Pic shows me stuck in the mine with no way out, she won't budge.

Issue (Include NPC Name): The characters ”break” after some time so you can’t push them out of the way, resulting in sometimes getting stuck in different places. Most common for me is Remy’s kitchen. So far I’ve had the issue with Elsa, Minnie, Eric, Woody and Maui.

Issue: Scar's collision was left turned off during the December update. I get trapped and can't move him and he gets stuck in the rocks when retrieving extra mining material. This DOES NOT effect any other NPCs.

Issue: Many villagers will suddenly become immovable and trap the player. Has happened 3 times since the recent update, with Moana, Goofy, and Scrooge. I assume it can affect anyone. It can sometimes be reversed by ending the hang out but not always.

I have an issue with Elsa not moving at all, she has been stuck in the same place for weeks, i cant progress with her and i haven't been able to get snowballs either and i think it's down to that issue.

Issue: Woody bigger than Moana
Never had an issue with Moana. I could push him out of the way. Woody, however, has a large invisible force field around him! Worst occurrence was in his home. I was in the corner and he was sitting in chair. We finished dialog and I couldn’t walk past. Buddied up with him to past chair and leave. Happened at my house too. I couldn’t get past him in the doorway. Could not move him at all.

This has happened to other NPCs, but this time it's Buzz who refuses to allow me to pass by. I had 4 (game) minutes left to hang out with him, so I feared exiting to title screen to escape in case the time would not pick up from where I left it.

I was able to enter Buzz's van during night (when he supposed to be sleeping) due a Wanted: Aliens task to talk with Buzz.
And then I got stuck inside the van

I just wanted to add a slight update. This has happened with many other characters, not just Mother Gothel. It seems to mostly happen when a character has a long message, and you walk away from them before they finish their message. It probably happened to me like five times today.

Issue (Include NPC Name): game freezing after I talk to any characters or open the craft table. When doing any of the above mentioned tasks I am stuck everything around me is moving but I can not move the camera, there is notice to select, and I can not open the settings to save and exit I have to do a hard close out and start the game again.

This has happened to me twice today - final dialogue screen (any NPC but specifically happened with Goofy and Maui) gives last question options from previous dialogue screen, when clicked the dialogue is stuck and no further actions can be taken...had to completely shut down the game to get out, if no dialogue questions are chosen you can press 'esc' to back out to character options menu.

Issue: Needs to be a way to move NPCs, especially in the ||mines||. Always getting stuck behind characters with no way to move them so either need to wait 10-15 minutes for there to be a possibility of them moving or completely quit the game, especially in places like this where it's "inside" so you can't use fast travel.

ETA: you can actually push/move NPCs regularly, not when you're backed into corners aka when you need it the most lol

Issue: So... for a small guy, Buzz sure has a big hitbox ^^" (that, plus he's so heavy he's impossible to push) I'm completely blocked in Remy's kitchen, there's no way for me to get out. Got stuck with Buzz in the Vitalys mines as well, same issue: small space, he's standing in the middle, can't pass besides him and can't push him either.
Coincidently, I also got stuck in the infinite walking loop trying to exit (Buzz isn't hanging out with me, but is following because I'm actively tracking his quest), I was lucky to have Scar nearby to engage in dialogue to break the loop, but he won't get out of the way and now I find myself stuck... trying to move Scar. x)

I think we really need a fix for all NPCs where they move out of the way on their own if you push against them for a few seconds. Stardew Valley does it, I think Animal Crossing: New Horizons also has a similar mechanic. Or have the player be able to push them in any circumstance, or pass through them.

Update: was able to make Buzz move with the camera, Scar won't budge. Trying to exit the restaurant with Scar in the doorway automatically puts me in an infinite loop. At least I can break it by initiating dialogue with Scar, but it doesn't help more than that.

When I am mining inside of Glade of trust (specifically with Anna but I have seen this with many other mining buddies) and I mine in the very back middle Rock my mining buddy will be tilting inside of the rock and constantly doing that no matter if I lure them with the photo, stop being mining buddies with them and go to another person and then back to my previous mining buddy they will continuously do that.

Levelled stitch to lvl 2 by having conversation caused conversation to reappear after having chosen a profession for Stitch. The reappearance of the conversation caused the game to lock and the game had to be rebooted.

Issue: I leveled up Kristoff at first on my PC for it go back to dialogue and then I get stuck, not able to click out of it or anything having to force close, losing progress. I did the same on my switch, same thing happened. I avoided him and then leveled up another character (wizard) and it did the exact same thing.

Issue: I initiated conversation with Wall-E and no menu or dialouge appeared. It was stuck and I had to restart. I waited about 5 minutes to see if the game would eventually catch up and I'd be able to select an option (Morning initial convo, Give Item, Hang out, etc.) but it stayed stuck. I was able to move the camera around but no button input did anything.

If anything, it’s gotten worse and is starting to become an accessibility issue if it’s starting to cause people to go into sensory overload. Like I have to play the game muted to even enjoy the game, so if I have to do that for who knows how long, I’m gonna drop the game until they give us the option to mute Donald, and that’ll be a waste of $40-ish bucks on my end

Issue: I had Merlin following me and went to mine an ore when he suddenly got stuck glitching and back and forth in front of it. He'll turn around to talk to me but immediately gets stuck facing the ore again afterwards and can't move away, he can no longer follow me when I walk off either.

Wall-E is stuck in the north-western corner of the glade, and I cannot advance the quest. When i talk to him, nothing happens. When i push him away from the corner, he immediately rolls himself back. When i enter a building, and come back outside, he starts back at his house(which ive put in the glade) and he b-lines it back to his corner.

Issue: NPCs cannot be pushed if they are following/hanging out with the player. Randomly - not every time - an NPC will just become stubborn and refuse to move. It was funny until Woody body blocked me into a corner of my own room 😭 Though I got him to wander away so I could get free by stopping the hangout, then reinitiating it. He's still unpushable atm tho.

NPC & Issue: Stitch - AFTER the update /restarting, I still can’t finish the TV quest. The TV disappeared completely, the quest line has progressed to meet stitch at his house to give him the TV, but of course I can’t because the TV isn’t there (fixed or broken). I’m in a Facebook group , and I am definitely not the only one experiencing this.

Wall-E, Minnie, Scar, and Elsa (having a few issues lately):
Wall-E: Went to talk with him, could not get into the screen where options popped up. Had to alt-f4 as it was stuck on just him.
Minnie: During her daily conversations, as well as a few others, I ended up stuck on the answering screen as she walked away and I had answered. The options and her question were left up. Had to alt-f4.
Scar: Prevented me from leaving Chez Remy. Stuck on a walk cycle and I had to alt-f4.
Elsa: At the end the first quest in the Frozen realm, when she is thanking you for helping, I was shown "Elsa_Option1" or a variation of that as one of my two options to say to her. Her dialogue reflected this and I did not know what she was saying.

NPC: Scar
Scar is not an NPC that seems to move out of the way when needed. I got stuck in Chez Remy because he completely blocked the area between the kitchen and the seating tables.

Also had an issue where he stood in the doorway of my house and I managed to press ‘Exit’. My character then tried unsuccessfully to get to the exit spot and walked infinitely while Scar did not move out of the way. No buttons could be pressed to open menus, or cancel the action. I ended up having to force close the game to fix the problem.

Issue: Has happened with multiple NPCs. They turn into immovable objects while hanging out. I’ve had it happen with Scar, Mickey, Eric and Woody so far. I end up stuck places because they don’t move like they should when you walk into them.

Another issue: Prince Eric’s responses to hangout requests and cancelations are backwards. When I ask him to hangout he says “So long! Let me know when you want to go on another expedition!”. When I say let’s hangout later he says “Sure! I’m sure we could find an adventure or two.”. It should be the opposite

NPC: multiple (most recently Donald duck and stitch).
Issue: when searching for a character on the map it shows them being in their house. I will go to their house to find the house empty. When I leave the house the character is standing right outside of their house. This makes it difficult to talk to them because when I try to get close to them, the prompt for "enter" pops up instead. I have to walk away and wait for the character to move out of the pathway of their home to be able to talk to them. Which sometimes takes a while.

Issue: night thorns have grown right in front of scars home. I cannot remove them because as I get close to them the prompt to enter his home pops up. This doesn't necessarily interrupt the game in anyway but it's annoying that I can't get rid of the night thorn there.

Issue: Whenever I mine with one of my NPCs that has the mining specialty and they go in for an extra mat, they get stuck in a weird glitch loop against the wall (it looks like they're trying to dougie). (The workaround is I can nudge them into a different position and then it works as intended)

Issue: When going to the Toy Story world (Bonnie’s room), Prince Eric was there and walking around. We weren’t hanging out prior to this so I have no idea how he ended up there. Another issue with Ursula. While conversing with Ursula, when she levels up, the conversation goes back to the last thing she said but its frozen, causing me to shut down the game.
Only happens when she is not in her home.

Issue: Any villager following you (except for Remy) can get stuck in the Cafe Kitchen. I've even had this happen with Maui. This choke point can be easily widened by either shortening the wall on the left or the counter on the right. As someone who works in a kitchen, I suggest both.

Issue (any character): when a character levels up because of a daily conversation, the level up screen pops and when pressing a button to continue the last dialog box and options remain on screen with the camera zoomed in on them. There is no way to exit the conversation, the game must be forcibly closed and reopened

Issue: I don't know if its quite a bug or issue but I keep getting trapped by followers. I've noticed it more so with Maui and Kristoff. Kristoff is very bad about trapping me. I have to stop hanging out and then re-hang out. It's very annoying.

I got trapped in Ursula’s cave when I was with Anna as she blocked the path to get out and there was nothing I could do, so I had to close the game via the PS5 options and restart. It would be helpful if you could gently push NPCs when they get in the way, or fast travel from inside buildings.

Agreed. I am currently blocked by Woody in the cave with the crystals. There is literally no other way to walk than the way he's blocking and he's one of the smallest character models. I can't walk by on either side of him.

Issue (Include NPC Name): Stuck in conversation with Merlin after he leveled up to level 6. Can not exit conversation screen. Merlin walked away but I cannot move. I had just gifted an item previous to having a daily conversation.

Interacting with NPC in general, NPC leveled up and when the level up animation was done, I was stuck in the dialogue options. Clicking options did not progress, had to alt+F4 to fix game, and would lose progress.

Issue: so I unlocked Minnie and immediately started her quest where she wanted to pick flowers with me in the forest. Asked her to hang out and when I went to the forest with her she went kind of manic. She was sprinting long distances (to the plaza, meadow, down to the beach) and then pausing for a few seconds and sprinting full speed somewhere else. I got the flowers and managed to find her. She was still registered as my hang out buddy and ending the quest didn’t stop her. I told her to stop hanging out and she went back to normally walking around

I'm not sure if this is a bug/issue or suggestion. But Ariel and Ursula have a tendency to stop swimming out of talking reach. Sometimes its in the lakes/rivers and they hide behind a rock or its on the beach WAY out of reach.|

They seem to ALWAYS disappear the minute you are in the same area as them. If i walk up to a lake or a river they immediately disappear to another lake/river. When you chase them they go BACK to the river/lake they started at. AS well when you are talking to them and they level up which kicks you out of the conversation, they immediately disappear and start the whole process again.

Issue (Multiple NPCs, I'm assuming all): They tend to block me, I'm unable to shove them out of the way. I've had to close the game multiple times in order to respawn at my house in order to continue playing. This also affects many other aspects of the game such as harvesting, plant glows, npc stands on it so that you're not able to harvest it. Also, when mining, and the golden timed shards get thrown around, depending on terrain, I've been blocked so that I'm unable to retrieve all of them before time runs out. Npcs should be able to be shoved out of the way by running into them to avoid all of these issues.

Bug: If you try and exit a home with an NPC inside or following you, sometimes the NPC will stand in the doorway in such a manner that you get stuck in a walking loop trying to exit. And as the walking animation doesn't time out (Like it does on interactive elements outside), you are now hard locked, since no other buttons respond to player input.
Expectation: The player should either cancel out their walking animation after failing to exit for a period of time, OR Ideally, they should just proceed to "Exit" after being stuck trying for that period of time.

The only way to unfreeze the game is to close it completely and then open it again.

Issue: Daily Discussions that cause friendship levels to increase can trigger a state where the conversation isn't exited, and the player can not select any option. Fix is exiting and reloading the game from the last autosave. Cannot reproduce 100%, but did manage to trigger it twice tonight.

Issue: Scrooge store, unable to load any items. The store front shows items but entering there’s nothing at all up or downstairs so have to restart game.
Issue: Characters tend to not move when being pushed during questing or activity, it causes me to be stuck and unable to continue mining, farming etc. Also happens when entering their homes, they keep you stuck at entrance.

Pc steam characters keep blocking me in especially in the mines, I used to be able to push woody out of the way now I can, he also glitches at some mining spots and won't move until I've done another spot. Also characters preventing me from getting through house door and making me moonwalk and unable to do anything making me force the game to close via task manager.

Issue: Others have already mentioned, but if friendship goes up during a discussion after the level up screen the dialogue box and the three options are still on my screen and I am stuck in that camera view while the character is not and will usually walk away. The only thing I’ve found to get out of this stuck menu is to force quit by going to the switch Home Screen and shutting down the game from there. Nothing else is responsive. I can scroll through the answers and pick one again, but that just makes the options disappear nothing changes response or dialogue box wise. I’m still leveled up with the NPC when I start up the game again.

Problem: I gave Merlin a gift that maxed out his friendship at lvl 10, granting me the final hat reward. The game then glitched the camera frozen and I couldn't exist out the convo. Had to force close the game and when I came back his level shows 10lvl max but do not have the hat in my wardrobe. I have no means to trigger the reward screen again to get it back.

Issue: some NPCs cannot be pushed away for some reason. It seems to be random and it changes in time (maybe daily?). The problem is that they block the way - sometimes you have to go around, sometimes teleport. If they block the exit from a house, restart is a solution.

The problem is Donald's idle animation - he just walks around and then he falls and starts honking and screaming and it is just way too often. Issue: NPCs blocking my path and getting me stuck. Be it when I’m mining or just trying to leave my house, NPCs tend to get a little in the way. When trying to leave my house, getting stuck on an NPC, there’s no way to open the menu since you’re supposed to be exiting the house. You’re stuck in a forever loop of walking. You can’t even use tools to free yourself so you just have to quit the game. When mining you could also get stuck by NPCs, but mostly the ones you set to help you mining. If you don’t run away fast enough after destroying the rocks, the NPC can trap you. The only way I’ve been able to get out was by taking out my trusty camera for a selfie, then quickly running away. The NPCs themselves can also get stuck when you go mining, for me it’s usually happened at a specific spot in the Glade of Trust, you just have to mine until they give you items or teleport. These all happen so frequently for me.

Issue: some characters block me in. Multiple times I've been stuck in the mine in between Eric or Scar. I have to ask them to stop being my companion and hope they move away fast. Happens on other places too, mostly while mining as that puts you in a corner from time to time

NPC: Several recently with Ariel
Anytime I am in a daily conversation or questline conversation and the NPC levels up their friendship level after I answer a question the conversation freezes on the screen and continues as if I didn't answer it. The only way I can move forward is by force closing the game and loading it again. Since this is a mix of NPC issues and crashing the game I wasn't sure which place to submit this bug. I am providing a screen shot but it only shows the question after it froze on screen.

Issue: Buzz is not able to be moved, because of this he traps me in corners while mining with him and I have to end our hang out and wait for him to walk away. He also will get stuck when trying to give extra items. While other characters also do this, I am able to push most of them and it resets their animation. He's still stuck in the animation 10mins later, while I typed this. I tried talking to him, I also ended our hang out then started it again and he just resumes trying to pick up the item but is stuck in the animation. (Mining another spot seemed to get him unstuck)

Issue : When Scar is at table on the right when entering Remy's restaurant (to the left in the picture/facing the door) you will get stuck trying to exit if you do anything that levels him up. When the level animation plays, he is moved away from the table and placed in front of the door. He can not be moved, and when you try to leave you get stuck in a walking animation. I have had this happen twice now.

Issue: I've gotten stuck a few times now, for example in the cave on the Sunny Plains, when I'm mining with an NPC, he some times gets in the way in the narrow corridors. The NPC can't be moved to the side and I have to restart the game in such cases every time, because teleport is not possible in the cave. This is a bit annoying. It's with any NPC.

Errors accessing Goofy's stall in Glade of Trust. I hit browse and it puts me in the position and goofy walks up but he won't start anything - my camera goes back out of selling mode and goofy walks away. Tested in other areas and seems to be fine.

we do not need the NPC's up our booty when we are harvesting. when the thing procs we cant even hit it because the NPC is right up on it and we end up just talking to them. SCAR atm

I have 3 people that when they approach me (or if they're working with me) will push me out of the way. Like they dont go around or through. They simply shove my character until she hits an unmovable spot. This would be Woody, Minnie and Maui.

Issue: Mining buddies always get “stuck” and glitch in a loop of trying to throw their bonus in the Glade of Trust most often but also throughout the valley. Two specific rock forms in the Glade seem to trigger the glitch, using the map to come out of a well, pulls them along and allows the buddy to complete the bonus cycle.

Issue with Remy: I can't continue the quest in the beginning. I'm supposed to go inside the restaurant with him, but he stays in his house. I go inside the restaurant, the quest updates to "talk to Remy" and when I talk to him, he says that we should go inside the restaurant. The quest updates to "go inside the restaurant" again. And that just keeps going ☹️

Edit: I figured it out myself. Made the friendship level go up, made him follow me into the restaurant and then it just worked. Phew 😅

I had the E interact disappear on/during started a quest but could move and interacted with a door/exit, it zoned me but E still disappeared. I still E'd on Scrooge as quest said to talk to him, and that worked. After that quest update the E came back.

She then goes to Kristoff and the conversation never happens between the two. Issue: When conversing with Ariel after unlocking her human form, I’m noticing her hair is clipping through her dress (and body) a lot. It clips during her idle animation but it more noticeable with her interacting animations.
It’s mostly centered around her shoulders and upper body.
I have just unlocked her human form so I could be noticing it more than usual.

Best way I can describe it is like her hair passes through her body/dress sometimes like it’s not there.
(Edit: I was talking to her on the stairs when I noticed the clipping so it could’ve been an angle issue… she was looking up so clipping was more obvious.)

oops. Scar nose in counter?

earlier uh had issues with Goofy and one his stalls; once Goof' didnt get teleported close to his stall so he was waltzing there. However it closed out just as he made it there.

second: went to stall to buy/sell, Goof' apparently been reeling in on his rod at the time when he was teleported over so he still reeled on solid ground.

It seems as though since the last couple updates, Donald's temper has gotten worse and he seems to trip every 2-3 steps and off he goes. It definitely gets very annoying. Is there possibly a way to give us an option to turn his temper off in the menu in game? Thank you.

Platform:pc. When mining with a buddy, they’ll trying to pick up another material only to glitch and jerk back and forth til I try to push the away from the rock. Sometimes it works but others it takes up to 15 minutes to work or I have to log out and log back in.

NPC glitches

Stuck because NPC won't move
Often I'll have gone down some path or other and the NPC I'm hanging out with at the time will stand at the entrance of the path I've gone down, and block my way out.

This happens in

Remy's restaurant
Vitalis mines
any areas I've created with smallish paths

It seems to be connected with certain idle animations. Eg if Gothel is crossing her arms, I can't usually move her. When she's doing other animations, I can walk into her and push her around. This also happens quite a lot with Donald and Wall-E for some reason.

This has also happened in characters houses, including the player house. A character can be blocking the door and we're all trapped in here now until I log out and back in again.

Mining glitch
As others have mentioned, often I'll be mining and when an NPC goes to pick up the bonus items, they'll get stuck at the start of the animation cycle and just jerk up and down.

Sometimes you can move them and they'll restart the animation and go through it fine. Other times I have to move far enough away that the AI resets and they appear next to me again. This often causes the items to ping at me in rapid succession which can cause a smol lag spike.

Issue: Goofy's stall does not work sometimes. I have to stand in impractical places to browse, when I tap browse Goofy does not come, or comes and then leaves. Or he shows up, starts walking towards the stall, and then stops. I have to press it multiple times often before Goofy finally talks to me. When he does not talk to me, the browsing vanishes and I have to press it again until he comes. Sometimes, he stands in front of me and doesn't talk, then the browsing closes. It's really annoying. And sometimes the browsing button doesn't show up at all (often only in very impractical places, so I have to walk around seeing where the button is and it's only like, one step of space :'D)
Hoping to see if other people are having this too or if this is intended (because he has to walk all the way across various biomes...)! Thanks and sorry in advance.
