I just fed the Blue Fox in the heights 64 White Sturgeon in a row. Didn't get it as a companion.

Not sure if we're supposed to be able to feed them an infinite number of times, but seems kinda bad if we can feed them but not have any chances of befriending them.

All critters

You can now endlessly feed the critters. The gift is only given once, and I think it also only counts as 1 feeding in the achievements / tasks, so you can't just befriend it withing 1 day, but not sure if it's a bug, or which part of it is an issue.

From what I understood from the new update, you are supposed to feed it multiple times (twice?), but then I am not sure if both is supposed to give rewards and / or count towards the achievements / tasks / friendship or not

Ok the multiple feedings: there is an indicator at the bottom right of the screen when you have approached a critter. If you’ve fed the critter for the day, you’ll see a green check. If you have not fed that critter, it’s a grey X.

Issue: Feeding a critter more than once appears to have no effect other than using up my gifted item. The total feeding count for that type of critter in Dreamlight doesn't go up, they don't drop a reward for any feeding after the first, and even feeding something 10+ times doesn't unlock it in collections, despite all critters having unlock thresholds far lower. It's like the game isn't registering anything after the first feeding of the day.

I have all the critters unlocked as my companion minus the weekly ones and the classic fox currently. However, it seems as though all the ravens are glitched for me. Have yet to unlock a single one in a week and half and I've only fed them their favorite 5 star meal daily. They will give me a reward and it will show they have been fed, but nothing else.

Issue: since the update some critters add, but Ravens aren't. I asked in a community help channel and someone mentioned it only adds after first feeding, but I've fed them multiple times before the patch trying to get it to work before finding out it wasnt working. Now that it has been patched I'm confused why the Ravens aren't adding. The same person said feeding them isn't a gaurantee they'll get added but I'm finding it confusing to know whether to keep trying because I don't know if it's broken or something else is happening and it's just a matter of continuing to try. Edit: raccoons and foxes are also still broken. The only one that has added for me is sunbirds.

Issue: Animals will not appear to have accepted food once fed after approaching them, and will still show as wanting you to approach them if you feed them their favorite food. The only way to get them to stop is to feed them something they don’t like. This started with the recent update. Also, the Ravens won’t join as a companion, even after having been fed their favorite food many times.

Xbox One X - The white Raven won’t lower itself to be fed unless I’m far away, interacting with my pet or talking to someone, and will immediately go back up when I get close. I’ve tried quitting and restarting both the game and my console but nothing helps, and I’m not having issues with any other colored Raven.

Yesterday I was having issues feeding the white Raven, now it’s all Ravens. As soon as I get close they refuse to drop back down until I move really far away, then when they drop down, I’ll go over to them and immediately they fly up and will only drop if I’m interacting with my pet or follower but as soon as the interaction is finished, they pop right back up and circle nonstop.

I have already fed all the critters today, yet I am able to do their puzzles again. When I do them, I gain no friendship with the critters.
I know that you can feed critters multiple times a day, but it only counts the first time you feed them a food they like/love. What I don't understand is why I'm able to do their puzzles when I already fed them their favorite foods.

Issue: Fed the Blue Raven, and the game locked up entirely. It showed a screen indicating that I unlocked the Blue Raven, but I could not maneuver on from the screen. The "Continue" button did not react when I hit it. Tried with both controller and mouse, and no luck.

Every time I get a critter companion I click continue and the screen doesn’t change. Meaning when you achieve getting a critter it shows on screen and a continue button. When I click on continue the critter screen doesn’t go away.

Since the update I haven't been able to friend any critters despite feeding them once a day their favorite food and it being the same one. It's not "fixed" and trello board is incorrect. I've done everything I can. And white sturgeon are so hard to get. I'm like do I just stop feeding and wasting the fish on foxes if it's not even working? I tried testing, others. Not working for Crocs, Racoons, and Ravens either.

There are 5 critters that literally always say “not here today” every single day. So I don’t have the opportunity to feed them and collect them.
Brown Raven, Calico Rabbit, Red Fox, Pink Crocodile, can’t remember the last one (not currently on the game). 2 different times though it said the brown raven was there for a short period of time in addition to the usual 2 daily ones but when I went to that area it was nowhere to be found.

From 12/6 update, amount of critter feeds seems to have been wiped. No big deal, did an extra, got the critter. However, I have stayed up past 2 AM for the last 4 Saturdays to earn the red fox and it's been a no go. Well aware critters have to be fed twice to capture. I've fed the fox 4x and still won't award me with it. Last one I need. Is there an issue with just this particular one?

Hi! I’m having trouble with my game. I’m trying to feed my critters as part of a quest for WALL-E, but every time I’m about to feed them a treat, nothing happens. I click the button to work it, then move to a random item and try again, but nothing works. I’m able to exit out of the feeding menu, but I still can’t feed the critters. Anyone know how I can fix this? This has been occurring for three days straight.

Rabbits are constantly glitching. Spent 3 hours yesterday checking for a rabbit that never appeared. This morning two rabbits both glitched and disappeared when I got close to them. 7/10 times I am following a rabbit that doesn't glitch, it runs into my small garden area and glitches and disappears in the plants. Make it impossible to get them and to finish the feeding tasks when they are broken so badly.

Playing on the switch. Seems like the only critter I can obtain as a companion is Squirrels. Anything else, regardless of how many times I feed it their favorite food, it won’t unlock them as a companion. 🦊

I've been trying to get critters as a companion (white raccoon with blueberries fed it like 20 of them. and the blue fox with white sturgeon fed it 3 of those including other fish) and i can't for the life of me unlock them. I've tried this more often and also didn't get any other companions other than event unlockable ones (halloween festive and pua) and the black, gray and classic squirrel, also my choco croc from one of the founders packs. pls help cuz i wasted my mystical fishing rod potion on this🥲

Issue: It has been a long time now. I'm not able to feed any fox. I pursue them, but they never stop. After making the "play" animation around three times it seems it just reset back, instead of letting me approach it.

Issue: While chasing a rabbit or a fox, when they stop to wait for you, if they are cornered by the area or items, once you approach them they will disappear entirely. They will only reappear after restarting the game.

I've noticed the freezes happen mostly when I'm hanging out Merlin and not other villagers. I don't know why, I don't have an explanation. It's just something I've noticed.

Issue: When I play tag with the foxes, they frequently get caught on the edge of the pond, start running in place, slide more over the water, then completely vanish. Sometimes they reappear another place in the biome, but other times I have to relog.

My critters arent appearing in the given time slot, some dont appear at all. Ive been playing since the game came out and i have yet to see the white squirrel, i saw the black sea turtle for the firat time ever last week and havent seen it since, the white croc showed up finally but 4 hours before its given time slot. The pink croc has never shown up. And the brown raven i have only seen once. Red fox and the blue racoon are the one 2 consistent rare animals that appear for me. I play on switch, i dont know if that has anyrhing to do with the issue or not
