Obviously they are much rarer than when they were always there before the previous update, but still the usual crashes every now and then

PS4 crashed today when teleporting from the beach to sunlet plateau. When I restarted I got a message saying the file was corrupted. Luckily it found my cloud save and I got my game back.

Quest How Far You'll Go

Game crashed while on boat when I tried to give Moana the fish. Now when the game loads, Moana is stuck on the beach, the fish is gone from my inventory, and when i invite her to the island, the game crashes. This is repeatable and i'm unable to progress with the story or other characters without inviting Moana and Maui. This has been on ongoing issue for months.

Please. Fix these questing issues, or give us an option in the Quest menu to reset the current quest string. That would solve a lot of our questing issues all at once.

I very much do not want to start a new game and have to rebuild the whole town, refriend everyone, and reearn all my starlight/gold/and shop items

PS4 - I can‘t launch my game after the new update. I uninstalled and reinstalled my game, I deleted my save and brought up my back up save, I restarted my PS4 with no sucess. 😦

I’m unsure if this is specifically for PS4, but I experience this today:

The Halloween buckets with candy were suddenly spawning (I found two, nothing more). Every time I picked up it froze, and then I had to turn the game off a few minutes after. Is it suppose to be something else? Because it’s not Halloween anymore … 🎅🏻

Issue: Moana quest (How far will you go), has crashed since we got the game in early access and have not been fixed in any of the updates. Crashes on "Show Moana your catch", after talking to her on the beach and selecting any of the options in the last step of the conversation it crashes.

Sorry new here if not allowed please delete my game crashes so much on my PlayStation I have to literally save before I go in and out of doors and just randomly every few seconds to a minute because it just randomly blue screens (ps4) I think my daughter said on her PS5 she is not had that issue yet but my PS4 so many blue screens

I play on the PS4 and it just said the game was corrupted then kicked me off. When I went to reload my game it was all gone. Everything from Halloween, clothes, tasks, my money $800,000 all of it. I just finished the Christmas tasks today I was in the middle of doing a task for toy story when it happened.

Issue: since 11/23/2022, my game has crashed seven times with the error code CE-34878-0.

Each time was when i was just playing the game. No instances seem to repeat except for usage of the map and fast travel. My most recent one happened as i was fast travelling.

When giving items to a npc for a quest, the ‘give’ screen often freezes. The game will continue but cannot do anything else anymore. Need to restart the whole game to fix it

Not entirely a crash but I have to close the game without saving. When quick teleporting the screen gets stuck on the location selection and I can keep teleporting but cannot move of close out of that pop up.

most of my crashes come from leaving the house, teleporting, and opening the chest (especially when I do this multiple times to fix my storage room or shared chests on the valley)

Third issue tonight. Frozen again. Cannot do anything but sound is playing. Going on 10+ minutes again this time. Trying to avoid another forced close if possible. No warning to either freeze tonight. Just suddenly stops and freezes. No lag prior.

This isn't a crash exactly. But couldn't find any other relevant thread to post it in.

On PS5 when levelling up a friendship level with a character, through a daily discussion. After the character levels up, it will bring you back to the main screen with the dialogue still on the screen, unable to progress past. The character will walk off, but you have to force close the game and restart. Sometimes you lose progress, sometimes you don't

I played the game as almost every evening and went through a door ingame. The game crashed and after a restart i got this Problem..
(See Picture)
I tried to load my local safe, but it wasnt able to load.. I tried and tried but nothing happens there..
when I load the Cloud safefile it works.. but after saving and closing the game after some progress, it wont safe and the same Screen from the picture is Back again..
It feels like so much work and time is now lost forever..
I never time traveled or other glitching stuff..
But I feel lost with my safefile at this point, maybe somebody can help

Same as Anna6416 and Ewcalypt. When I level up with a resident, it goes back to the last dialogue question and if I click an answer the dialogue freezes and the resident leaves. Have to close and reopen game. Doesn't happen when I level up with a gift, does happen when leveling up through dialogue.

issues that I’ve encountered more frequently the past 5 days regarding the PS4 version of the game and weren’t there before then:

the game at times freeze up whenever I gain a friendship level with a villager.
sometimes my character is stuck in a running or walking animation especially before exiting the house which forces me to close the game and restart it.
sometimes after the game crashes rebooting the game again takes a very long time for some reason, the loading meter is stuck at around 40% and the main menu doesn’t pop up: this however is fixed by closing the game and starting it again.
sometimes when picking up an item or harvesting the game crashes or the screen freezes up.
leaving the puzzle cave one time made me load into a black screen which forced me to close the game.

Issue: Went into another room with Maui as my buddy. He spawned in blocking me. When I tried to turn to go back out the door, it glitched and got stuck walking. Character will not move, nor could I open any menus. Had to force close the game.

Issue 1: When mining in the Glade of Trust with a friend hanging out with you who does mining as well they always glitch and get stuck at the mining spot on the left middle side when looking at the map. It takes several minutes for them to unglitch or you have to fast travel to fix.

Issue 2: When trying to leave house with companion game Freezes while avatar is walking. Sometimes it undoes itself other times have to restart the game.

Issue 3: When crafting at the table, when you tab through the pages it will go blank or freeze at the fence tab and you have to back out to fix it.

PS4: Issue: Still continually crashing on the Moana "How far you'll go" quest. Apparantly this is somekind of inside joke, because it is litrerally AS FAR AS I'LL GO on the base game. Same as most posts above. Hopefully it will be able to be addressed in the next update. Can't progress any further on the base game. If it is not deemed fixable, please let us know and if our founders packs and Star Path items can be ported to a new game session. PS4.

Not sure if it is a general issue but you can get hung up trying to leave your house if a character is in your doorway.

Simply walking in-game can be difficult and unnecessary. This means it takes longer to travel within the biome and using the wells to bypass this too frequently causes game crashes. Switching or removing a tool helps but is temporary fix usually.

Still same thing with How Far i’ll go quest to bring in Moana. Everytime it crash my game on PS5. This has happened for 2 months now with no fix. Bug report rest assure it will be fixed. WHEN? My patience is running thin on such crucial bug that prevents me from progressing my game.

Multiple times stuck walking in a doorway either of my house or someone else's if npc walks near me when exiting. It seems to be when I'm unable to walk through or push characters.

Twice when handing an item to someone it crashes on that screen. Once in restaurant handing meal and once during Ursula quest it actually corrupted my save game and I thought it was lost but ps4 had backed up to cloud. I feel scared to do anything in the game with all the crashing. Losing my save game twice. If you don't have backup to cloud Def get it.

I have the CE-34878-0 ALL THE TIME like five times per day I play it. It's really fristraighting to have tonstart over on a task. And wind up at your home when you need to be at the biome across the map.

Well I just lost my second playthrough because "my save data maybe corrupted". Thankfully I had a backup save in my usb. It's from two days ago but it's something. So a temporary solution for that error is to transfer everyday your save to a usb, when you are done playing.

PS5 question- the cloud save is missing from menu after purchasing Ultimate Edition. I play on Xbox and have my progress cloud saved; bought ps5 today, went to play and had to pay so I figured I’d get ultimate. Then when I went to launch game and the menu came up, there was no cloud save. PS wont refund and I’m wondering if it will ever have the cloud save listed in menu on ps5 ultimate edition

Game crashed when I was leaving my house, I went to reload and my save was corupted. I restarted the game, which is what I usually do. Now after I press a button, it gets stuck on the spinning star. I have let it sit for 30 minutes today, deleted my save and tried again.

Issue: My game never crashes but they last week it crashed once a day every day. It always crashes when I enter the left side of Frosted Heights. I barely have decorations on that side but it always crashes.

Another crash today 2/13 once again in only in the Frosted Heights. This is really bad because the update, I really hope this gets fixed soon. But seeing that Switch still crashes lets me know that it's going to months before it's fixed.
