Xbox Game Pass Hello! I wanted to report my experience with my recent crashes. Before the update, id get the occasional crash but it feels like now, since Tuesday, its been every 5-10 minutes if Im lucky 😦 heres some scenarios, many revolve around scar…. Talking to scar, entering the mines, going anywhere with scar after a minute or so of having him follow me, there are even times Im noticing if hes on my screen at all and he registers Im near itll spike and crash. Non scar related crashes are while changing my clothes, all stages of gardening, and Ive noticed most frustratingly that itll crash as Im opening menus to save. I save manually every 2-3 minutes now to reduce damage 😅 Thank you so much support team for doing y’all’s best, I know yall have a lot going on. I just wanted to add that I absolutely adore this game!!

There’s a Halloween BP and Halloween will be over by the time the game is stable enough for me to play.

Wasn’t even this bad before the update.

3. Game crashes when picking up memories.
4. Game crashes while harvesting/planting crops.
5. Game crashes opening/closing inventory.

Literally even walking I crash.

Planting, talking to people, harvesting fruit, harvesting plants, picture mode, clothes editor mode, inventory, houses, remi’s, scrooges, map/ pulling up the event etc, cooking…. Basically everything in the game currently crashes or freezes the game 😩 I hope you guys can find a fix 🥺🙏 As at its current state it’s unplayable for me… I can only play 4 minutes at a time, even when I play slow and cautiously! Xbox Game Pass:
After playing the game all night yesterday I can say that I haven't seen any noticeable difference in crashes since before the update. They're still happening pretty frequently, at least every 15 minutes or so. I'm basically manually saving after every action to make sure my progress isn't lost.

I've noted it before but just to reiterate, I'm pretty sure 90% of my crashes have been from transitioning areas (ie, going in and out of buildings and moving to a new biome either by walking or teleporting). Outside of that, I've been having new crashes randomly when opening menus (like opening a chest, or moving something in the furniture menu) that weren't happening as frequently before.

I've noticed some new softlocking happening as well when talking to characters; sometimes the dialogue menu will not appear so you're stuck looking at the character until you force quit the game, or part of the text will appear on screen and then will randomly stop. (also forcing you to force quit)

I don't know if it would help the devs at all, but when i've seen this happen before in games, it usually is a memory leak of some sort thats forcing the game to crash. I'd assume its happening in the transitions as the game is trying to reload the entire world at once. (similarly, when crafting/opening boxes, the game is trying to load the data of all that stuff at once).

Xbox one (old gen) game pass: still frequent crashes post update. Maybe once every hour? Sometimes more often. Most often happens after using furniture mode (and I’m not near the item limit) or exiting a building, but sometimes the lag just spikes randomly and it crashes. It recently occurred after harvesting fruit—froze when I tried to sell the fruit at Goofys stall. UPDATE: I set a timer. Today the game has actually crashed 3 times within the past 1.5 hours.

There doesn't seem to a be a reason for the crash, I could be in the middle of customizing clothes or just opening the menu, or just going to the map, or simply just running around and the entire game freezes. I have to keep quitting the game and reopening.

Since the Scar update, (playing so far only 1 day), I've had 3 freezes on looking at new memories, needing to force-quite the game and relaunch, and one freeze on changing clothing (for the dreamlight task). While playing on mobile I have seen moments during play the gane will freeze up for a few minutes and then speed up to properly catch up to what should be happening. It reminds me of those old back in the days hot sync issues from cable tv.

Next issue is that the game freezes when my phone screen locks after a few minutes of me being idle.

Also, I have experience the game stop responding when wardrobe menu or a chest is open from time to time.

28 minutes in - crashed entering the mine.

Tonight- 10 minutes in, flashing (see previous comment) then crashed.

55 minutes in crashed leaving the store. I gave up after this point.

Issue: Crashing when trying to decorate and move items around on dazzle beach. Screen will begin flickering before it makes audio stuttering and crashes.

Crashing again when trying to edit and decorate in Forgotten Lands biome after trying to exit out of edit mode. It was so beautiful too!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭. Didn't save anything and said cloud was out of sync by 50 minutes and I had saved it out of constant paranoia too 🥺

Continuous crashes throughout the night just playing. I play between Xboxes from my Xbox series s and my Xbox one so I don't know if that is the reason why it if this is just an Xbox one issue. I only ever experience it on the Xbox one where it's just constant over and over and over crashing.

Continuous crashes; mainly coming in/out of buildings. If I successfully make it in and out of somewhere, then the game crashes moments later when I’m running around anyway. Seems location changes are the main cause of crash; this was the case before the update but these were less frequent.
Crashes coming out of decorate mode. Haven’t tried it again since.
Screen also glitches out and freezes before crashing. Can’t get to save button in time - changing screens causes the crash.

I GIVE UP 😭😭 This game is now basically unplayable! I understand we are testing it, but for the money we paid I don't believe this is acceptable. I have been trying to play since 1:30pm my time, that is 2 hours 35 minutes. In total I have been able to play for less than 90 minutes. I’ve crashed so many times this evening leaving the store and restaurant of I’ve done a few tasks in there and then again loading into my house.

Still several crashes. It began to be a calvaire just doing the daily routine. Spend the same time reloading the game than playing it. 😓

Few exemples of situations where the game systematically crash:

• exiting the shop of Scrooge
• exiting my house (I don’t using it anymore, just eating to restore my energy)
• using the camera (can’t complete quests requiring to place an object and then taking a picture)
• using the teleportation (I wish I could run to move faster from one side of the map to the other)

In addition of these the game randomly crash whenever he want.

Also have a bug sometimes with the pop up that don’t close at it should and stopping me to continue playing. Have to exit the game manually to resolve this.

Game is close to unplayable for me, freezing happens every 15-20 minutes, and is triggered by absolutely anything. It often causes several minutes of lost gameplay between saves. Have to fully shut down the game to get out of a freeze.

I don’t know if this is the right place to post this but I’m running into a bug or a glitch during the ‘curse’ quest on Xbox. I can’t get Merlin and Ursula to talk at all. Ursula keeps glitching in place and Merlin won’t move to go meet her at all

just out of curiosity, do you happen to have a house on the beach area? if so, try to move the house to another area. i know i've seen where ursula is far away and not talking to merlin and the people had maui's house near the meeting area. don't know if that will fix the issue, but it's worth a shot, right?

Issue: Consistent crashing leading to prevention of progression on quest.

Crashes nearly every 15-20 minutes I'm active in the game. Usually crashes when transitioning from buildings or biomes, but sometimes just crashes in the middle of exiting conversation or some switch of the UI (cooking, bringing up inventory or another menu).

While attempting to finish Anna's quest: "Do You Want To Build A Snowman", the game crashed when I was prompted with the camera UI for "attending the party with the Snow Family."

After reloading, I'm unable to progress the quest in any way (I've tried picking up the Snow Family and placing them down again, fiddling with the camera interface, and tried interacting with Anna, Elsa and Kristoff or leading them each to the spot to retake a picture. Anna and Kristoff have been traveling all around the biomes like normal, but Elsa has been standing for a day or so now in front of her home, unmoving.)

Since Friday, there's been a delay between acquiring something (catching fish, harvesting plants, opening bags) and the pop-up alert about what I got. As I play, the delay gets longer, and when it reaches more than 2-3 seconds, the game will crash on the next acquisition. Since farming is a pretty big part of cooking, you can imagine how often this happens (like, a lot).

It stays stuck trying to save and load out of design mode. I HAD to be in to do a task for a quest. This is getting ridiculous. I know we're beta testers but dang. Some people rely to be able to play to get out of their head and depression, or to help distract from awful health pains. It seems since the update my game is freezing more and more often. Mostly when I am trying to edit and decorate my village. For example, adding new stone paths, adding more trees and foliage. All crashes I have experienced are:

1. Exiting buildings- crashes every time, any building I try to leave
2. When I’m in furniture mode, or go to leave furniture mode (this one’s hit and miss but I can only be in furniture mode a few minutes at a time before it does crash).
3. Some times in the menu when I go to manually save.
4. Fast travel can cause crashes sometimes.
5. Trying to give a gift has caused me to crash.

I’m kind of at the point of the game where all I have left to do for now is decorate and I LOVE decorating the world, I have so many ideas and I’m inspired by the decor the game provides, I just sadly crash on average every 5-10 minutes trying to design and decorate so it’s not possible at this time.

Hello everyone, I had quite a few crashes, up to 4 times ALT F4 forced after 2-3 hours of play, in totally different situations, entering the house, exiting the menu, strolling: motionless character, just possibility to move the camera.
In addition, a lot of bugs in the menus for furniture, clothing or crafts, forced to close and reopen.
Mission with mother Gothel - impossible to collect the "brilliant twilight shard" so blocked...
Bug with Scar in the mine, stuck in the sun wall and come back to the entrance. As well as a few other people who bug when collecting an item.

Every 10-25 minutes my game will freeze/crash and a restart is required (which is incredibly frustrating because now I have to manually save every 2 minutes or I’m forced to redo tasks).

The game is basically unplayable and it’s very disapointing.

I’ve also noticed an irritating issue when scrolling through the collection menu. When I try and scroll down to a specific category, the curser goes into the selected collection which forces me to move it back to the list. This isn’t exactly a “broken” feature but it’s quite tedious.

I've noticed as well when talking to characters; sometimes the dialogue menu will appear but freezers so you can’t give the items or cancel or do anything so you're stuck looking at the character until you force quit the game, or part of the text will appear on screen and then will randomly stop. (also forcing you to force quit)

She said " The Dreamlight Fountain - Make sure the fountain is in the original spot Donald placed it (use the guide I attached). Go into furniture mode & move the banner all the way to the side of the biome far away from the fountain, then exit out. Go back in & place the banner straddling the fountain. This should trigger the photo.

When I go to walk it takes a few for my character to realise I’m pressing forward. Same with having a look around and then when she does walk it takes a moment to realise I’m trying to turn so I end up walking into things, can’t walk in a straight line. Reorganising my inventory is slow. When I click on the map my cursor is takes forever to get to where I want to go. I’ve recalibrated and updated my controller because I thought that would fix it but it didn’t. 🥲 it’s almost like playing a PS2 on the series X. It’s a similar clunkiness and slowness that the Winx game has after being imported to next gen consoles. I’m not sure how to explain it properly but that’s what it’s similar to. I haven’t tried to do anything else yet.

On Xbox Series X the fps are limited to 30 fps again. Also it seems like the graphics look slightly worse. I think the devs did this to fix the crashes on last gen xbox consoles, but there was no reason to do this on the xbox series x. I really hope they revert the changes. I noticed when I saved and exited, I had difficulty loading when I wanted to get back in.
I backed out, quit game at home screen and then was able to load game just fine.

As someone mentioned previously in this chat. There is a workaround for the 30fps. It is tedious and needs to be done everytime you enter and exit buildings.

But to get the fps back to 60 you need to go into the audio settings. When there, press "X" to reset your audio settings to default. Once you do that and exit the menu you should be back to the 60fps and smoother gameplay.

But like the original poster stated this needs to be done everytime you enter/exit buildings. I've tested this and it does work.

Completely reinstalled, still won't load the game past the main menu. It's still stuck on the loading screen, behaving the exact same way as before (loading bar creeps along very, very slowly until finally coming to a complete stop around 90% and will not load any further)

The Crash I am experiencing is trying to load into my save. The loading has been taking longer and when I get really close on the loading screen it just stops and doesnt respond. I tried ALT+F4ing and that didnt work at all. I tried loading in three times and the same issue. I cant even get into my save

I have this on Gamepass on the PC (except, I did end up buying the 80 dollar bundle), and every time I attempt to install an update, it will not download. Typically, I have to completely uninstall the game and reinstall it for the update to actually go through.

Have they acknowledged the messed up Xbox version by now and that it's 30fps again and they (probably just) messed up the smart delivery and Xbox Series X enhancement? Cause that's my guess about it, it's not only 30fps again it also looks worse in some aspects, it's probably the Xbox One X version we are currently playing again instead of the real Series X version

Issue: I've had this happen a few times where I've given someone an item for a quest and it stays on the confirmation screen and I can't get it to close. I can click through and continue dialogue and it'll update the next part of the quest but the box still stays so I have to restart the game.

The game doesn’t crash like it used to before the update but if i’m playing for a while it’ll freeze mid-task, mostly when I’m gardening or sometimes when I’m having a conversation with someone or trying to give them gifts. I do save my game its just frustrating because the game doesn’t really have an auto save after you do everything so if you don’t save and it freezes, you lose progress when you need to quit the game and open it back up.

Issue: 12 days ago, I was finishing up Donald's final quest by taking a group picture in the forgotten lands, and my game somehow broke. Let me explain in as much detail as I can:

It got in picture mode, and I took a picture. I tried to exit out of the picture mode, and found I could not pan my camera or move my character. I think to myself, "okay. I'll just restart the game and that should fix it!" So I do just that.........multiple times. I restart it the first time, and it opens the game right up to that picture mode by default, and it shows the top menu screen as if I was trying to view the event page. I sometimes immediately tried to take the picture, and then it would automatically leave the picture mode and show my normal screen with the quest on the side.

Solution(??): I have restarted the game countless times, used the wells to teleport to different locations as well as deleting and reinstalling the entire game. Nothing has worked so far. So I stopped playing for 12 days. I really wanted this to work because i wanted to take part in the villain event. I need Maleficent's wings and horns because I love her, but I can't do any of the duties and can't get any of the points because of my broken game. Does anyone have any other ideas on how I could fix this? I only have 16 days left of the event :c.

Something that is happening this morning is that I am unable to water my plants 🌱 the squares that should appear on the plants to show which ones I can water are not showing up as well. Just wanted to flag just in case anyone else is running into this!

Try to turn off you Xbox and unplug the power cable. Wait 30 seconds and plug the power cable back in. If that doesn’t work you might need to reinstall the game.

The game gets stuck ocasionally when I find a memory while harvesting, mining or any other activity in the village. For example, I am harvesting fruit and find a memory, pick it up, it shows me a piece of the image that I have found and then I cannot close the picture. The only thing I can do is force the game to close.

Can’t claim moonstones from mailbox. Tried every day since they were given and keep getting this message. I am currently online and the connection to the server is fine as I can see the Event tab. Make sure your inventory isn’t full
Upload your save to the cloud and try to claim the moonstones again.

Inventory isn’t full but moonstones are in-game currency so they’re not included in your inventory, kinda like dreamlight. Cloud saving and reloading doesn’t work either.

I’m stuck in the “how far you’ll go” quest. I get to the dialogue where Moana says she’ll come live in the valley and the game crashes every time. I tried it on another xbox console and with my cloud save and same issue. Also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I contacted game loft support 10 days ago and haven’t gotten a response. The issue has persisted for 14+ days. Does anybody know a possible fix?

I received a response from Gameloft support in regards to reporting the FPS issue on Series X which said “I'd like to inform that our developers are constantly working to improve the game graphics and FPS.

Multiple freezes on map when opening and switching screens too fast. Game is still responsive to joysticks and RB/LB bumper buttons, but unable to interact with other buttons. When using RB to tab out of map, then LB to tab back in, the map does not load (only player icon and plaza wishing well icon). Game is "soft frozen".

Another soft freeze when welcoming Ariel. No buttons worked with "Welcome Ariel" on the screen, before restarting the application.

Gameplay degradation when tabbing to Fences tab in crafting too fast. The items in the tab do not load, though if I move to each tab slowly on my way to the Fences tab, it will load normally. However, integrity of the game suffers, other issues become more prominent. Game hard crashes within the next 15 minutes.

Item index malignment - when selecting furniture towards the bottom of the list, unable to retrieve the last row. When selecting an item in the last row, it instead selects fencing.

That is slightly a normal problem with a harvesting buddy , especially when gardening. Most ppl use Remy for gardening due to him being small and he doesn't get in the way of tagging the mini game. I tried to turn my back away from a buddy when I'm harvesting just in case it's becomes a mini game.

With others task in Dreamlight, I had problems with wall-e when mining. For some reason he blocks area and is unmoveable. I have to unfriend him so he can move out of the way and then re- friend to continue mining. I lost a few mini games from mining due to him blocking and locking in place at a ore node I was mining.
I havent had a problem with Fishing or Digging, so far.

It's not recognizing me hitting a, to harvest half the time, especially on golden one.

Yesterday in edit mode, my camera kept jumping me all over the map.
Also in edit mode, it doesn't acknowledge me trying to move whatever I'm placing, I have to spaz the joystick around to get it to realize I'm trying to move around and place something. If I'm trying to move it one block over or back, etc. It won't recognize it till I move it around like crazy, then it acknowledges it and I can't eventually get it down where I want. But it's truly aggravating.

Also had a digging glitching with mickey yesterday, he tried to give me bonus grass and it stayed stuck in midair as a glowing yellow speck, as it would right before it actually hit the ground.
