fishing spots don't seem to want to respawn on the beach during storms. I've yet to catch a fugu because of this and the rarity of storms to begin with. super frustrating.

Sometimes the shrinking circles do not appear when fishing, so I have to guess and hope I catch it right when it turns green.

I have the same issue on the switch but this was after the update. Before the update there was no problem. *not sure this matters language Japanese.

Issue: I saw that the bug where characters fish away from the water had been fixed in the patch notes. I'd never seen that bug before the patch but I've seen it three times since. Once with Eric & twice with Minnie.

pc used the glittering herring by accident on a different recipe and now i cant seem to get another one and i try everytime it rains but all i find are regular herring, lobster, and squid

Only catching cod, herring, and shrimp in Dazzle Beach, even when raining. Tried alone and with characters.

Completed most of scar's quest, the sunlit plateu water had returned to normal, went into the mine, and was tidying a large rock out of the way. The game looked like it glitched and when I went back to the plateu the water was purple and can't be fished in again. No bubbles, no nothing. 😅

So I was fishing in the forgotten lands and I caught a squid. It did the "spray" thing (like to get as many as u can before the timer is up) and instead of squid on the ground it was lancefish. It was near the pillar for the orb

Similar to the above but fishing in Dazzle Beach. My husband caught a shrimp but all the “spray”/“golden” proc fish were Kingfish.

Platform: SWITCH. No idea why the fishing rod hologram just appeared, I’m in late game quests and I can’t get rid of it or dig the ground item underneath it and it’s stuck like this.

Issue: Loot tables in the forest of valor seem to be mixed up. I keep getting Perch from common fish bubbles when its descriptor says it's a rare fish and I can hardly find any carp even though its descriptor says it's a common fish.

Issue: I cannot reach this fishing spot from any side in the middle of the pond in Sunlit. This is the closest I can get.

Issue: Sometimes when fishing, the color does not properly correspond to the fish associated with the spot. I've had it both ways, a harder spot with a common fish [ie:blue/purple or whatever it is or even gold at the beach for example having a herring, while a white spot at the beach sometimes gives me a shrimp.] While I don't mind, it is a bit confusing and a little frustrating to go for the gold/blue (especially in a storm) and get a common fish instead of what I wanted to try to catch. On the flip side, it is nice when the reverse happens, although I doubt it is intended. This also happens in other areas as mentioned above.

Feels like blue circles are the new common as I keep seeing more blue than white when fishing in the glade. I thought blue was supposed to be uncommon. Seems like spawn rates are messed up.
(Like it’s actually annoying trying to fish for tuna for a Star path quest.)

Update: When I time jumped, the fishing circles in the Plateau + Frosted Heights reappeared.

Note that I had already completed the relevant Scar quest to unlock the water in the Plateau prior to the fishing spots disappearing.

Was fishing in the glade and got a "super pull" on a tuna and instead of throwing out a bunch of tuna it threw out herring and then later I got a super pull on herring and it threw out a bunch of tuna instead so I think they may be swapped? Everything else seems to throw out more of itself.

Issue: I’ve closed the game and reopened it numerous times…however I for some reason can never collect fish from Moana’s boat. It gives the issue to “browse” but when I press A…nothing happens.

I had that issue too, the game may not like the place the boat is placed. I moved mine and it helped to fix the issue. :)

Once the orb in Sunlit Plateau was restored I was able to fish in the pond and river again with no issues.

I have only seen the fugu fish twice. When it did spawn I was only able to catch one. Now when I go to fish for it during the rain storm it does not spawn at all.

Issue: Can’t cook the fish pie for the what home feels like quest, I have lost the glittering herring by accident, I put it in another recipe. now can't catch a different one in a rainy day, to try once again. What should I do? please send help xD

Issue: I just got stuck in the below position for the first time ever. The rod is in front of me but if you look closely, the line isn't actually cast, even though I'd aimed for the circle like usual.
edit: The exact same thing happened again while standing in this spot. And again even from the other side of the river.

I stopped getting new fishing spots. I am trying to get squid for Ursala but I can't find any bubbles. I looked around and there aren't any in most of my biomes.

Absolutely no fishing bubbles are spawning. Everything went to garbage as soon as I connected to cloud, but along with the other massive issues I'm having, there has been NO fishing spots respawning.

I am having the same issue. I have no idea what is causing it. I loaded onto the cloud yesterday and it stopped working after. I tried on both my switch and my PC. Is there a way to access old saves?

I have no idea. I wish I could undo the update because I just updated today along with connecting to the cloud and it has made everything broken. I literally cannot do anything in the game because I can't get any money because just about everything isn't spawning @plush kindle

This is more an observation than an issue I'm having with fishing. I've seen all of the NPCs frequently stand/sit out in the water and fish the beach.

Issue: Used Glittering Herring in a different recipe and now I am unable to get another to finish Elsa's quest for making a Fish Pie. I have tried for a very long time to fish in the Glade of Trust when it rains. I have also tried to fish every spot available even though I read the glittering herring was more likely to show in the red/orange bubbles spots.

Issue: The color bubbles no longer correlate to the rareness of a fish. For example on Dazzle Beach the blues bubbles are normally seafood like shrimp but I'm catching Herring in them.

So I know that the Fugu is rare but I fished during a storm like 3 times today for 20 minutes each and nothing. Lol. It's taking "rare" to a whole new level.

Also I'm getting low-key annoyed that herrings keep popping up in blue circles. Like you're not that special, herring, no offense bro.

Issue: can never catch fugu. I’ve only caught two fugu since I started playing the game and every time is storms I fish until it stops and still can’t catch anymore? I get that it’s supposed to be a rare fish but this is kind of ridiculous 😭

@static kiln same, I don’t remember ever catching one, I must have sold it by accident as I have two recipes I cannot make without it to unlock all recipes, it says I have caught it though… I’ve been actively trying during every storm for at least 2-3 weeks now and nothing! I fish all the spots but they are slow to respawn during a storm so I also fish random spots and nothing… maybe tomorrows update will help 🤞🏻
