What is it doing?: When I enter the Castle I am no longer able to access my backpack or tools or the main menu to look at quests, etc. I have been able to work around most of the realms well enough however am completely unable to access Wall-E realm it wont load at all. I thought today's update might fix this but the issue is still stopping my progress.

Issues: I unlocked the Sunlit Plateau, my Dreamlight was used, and the thorns disappeared after the cutscene with Merlin but I couldn't enter the zone. I went into my house to 'reset' and when I came back out the thorns had reappeared. My Dreamlight is still spent and the zone appears accessible on the map but I can't enter at all. ** Rebooting completey fixed the issue. **

Connection to DDV server issue.

The connect to server isn’t working as intended. I keep getting disconnected and an error message saying “failed to connect”. When I try and connect, it won’t let me. It’s happening every 10 minutes or so. I stay connected to the game server for about 4 or 5 minutes then I’m disconnected again. Unable to complete any event related quests.

Issue: objects that are in goofys path to his stall block him from arriving at the stall. No landscape decor has been altered since the update. He got blocked by night thorns and a rock. I can call him again to get him to complete his path, but that hadn’t been an issue previously. It would only block him if I had placed something in his way.

Issue: when I started playing the game I was in california, so very different time zone(living in uk). I kept on that time zone until the update as I was worried of any issues from going back to my normal one, which is 8 hours ahead of the timezone I started on. It should be nighttime in my game now that I've updated my timezone, but its still stuck as day time as if I'm still on california time 🙃

issue 1: currently having an issue where i’m unable to drop items from my inventory. it was fine before the update but anywhere i go on the map, it says “cannot drop items here” even though there is nothing blocking my path or anything.
issue 2: i cannot place anything on the ground in build mode. it’s telling me that i have maxed out the number of items i can place in the valley but in the top right it tells me that i have 300/600 items placed. included some screenshots of the problem

Issue: No memory piece dropped following placing of Prince Eric’s statue on Dazzle Beach. I have submitted a customer support ticket and I’ve searched all biomes, moved the statue around just in case it was in the wrong spot as well as in and villager houses but still nothing has appeared and it’s been over a week now. I can’t progress with Ariel’s quest without it and he’s the only character I’m missing now.

What is it doing?: I’ve now run into this with several different items and selecting the “use” button. When I select the “use” button, one of two things will happen:

1. The using animation will occur and the inventory menu will stay open and the used item will not disappear indicating use. In addition, I am still able to toggle in any direction among the various items in my inventory, but I cannot select any other items, select the furniture or outfit pages, or exit the inventory screen, essentially being stuck and unable to play the game.
   OR 2. The use animation will happen and the inventory menu will close but then the game will essentially “freeze” in that music and idle animation are still happening but I cannot do anything else like move or pull up a menu, once again stopping me from being able to continue playing.

As I’ve observed, this seems to be only happening with the “use” option for things like recipes, bags, or certain quest items. However, this doesn’t happen with things like food and the “eat” option

For the second star path in a row, the event simply does not show up in game for me to unlock. I’ve noticed that it appears to be due to the speed of my internet connection as I now get connection errors when logging in to the game and cloud saving only works if I use the hotspot on my phone. Why does the star path require a specific internet speed to participate? If the game already has the files required, we should be able to unlock and play through it fairly easily.

Issue: The ‘collection’ tab no longer allows you to click on each subsection to scroll through things you have not got or collected. Once you click on the sun heading it doesn’t go over to the right of that section to scroll it just stays there unable to be moved or backed out of to another heading. You can only close the collections tab completely down.

PS5 - Workbench Crafting - There were a few items prior to update release that required Ruby's and Sapphires to craft, however now we have the gems the items aren't showing to craft. yet the items are still under Collection under Crafting. A few of the items are Haughty Snowman, Red Light High Beach Torch, Round Blue Three-Pronged Lamppost and Round Lamppost with Blue Light. Think there is a couple others.

4. As many others have said, new items are not showing as collected in collections after cooked/collected
5. How does fishing work everywhere else, but still not in Sunlit Plateau??
6. Scar is getting stuck in a lot of places because of his longer body (ie in the mines, beside my house, etc) when set as a mining follower (can't say about other follower types). When you try to mine in some places, he either can't follow you to throw out your extra mined item, or gets stuck trying. Other followers have also been getting stuck on certain mining rocks too since release (specifically the one by the waterfall behind Merlin's and the center one across the bridge in the Glade); they just walk towards it to throw out the extra mined item, and then start bugging out standing in front of the rock. Only way I've found to unstick them is to walk over and keep running into them to push them away from the rock

Issue: sometimes when harvesting,fishing or getting rid of thorns causes the event where multiple of the item to spawn and you have a set time to get them all before the timer runs out to get a chest reward? Well before the update I had items disappear before the music timer ran out so I couldn't get the chest and now I have the issue where the music timer didn't even play and the some of the items disappeared pretty much straight away- No chest rewards for me still.

EDIT: after closing the game down and having to restart the PC (because the game wouldn't load up anymore) it fixed itself - for now. IF not needed anymore please delete, not sure if there will be similar problems in the future for others.

Scars friendship quest remains locked after meeting requirements. Have leveled up Scar to Level 2 and progressed all the way to level 10 with Remy. There is no new quest and no option to start one when speaking to Scar.

It seems like the scene showing the character’s friendship level increase should occur after the player’s action is complete, not interrupt it. Issue: I'm not sure if this is intended or not, or if this is the right thread, but things like rocks and the dig spots are able to spawn on top of rugs that are placed outdoors, like in this picture. It won't let me dig it up either, I have to remove the rug I placed to remove it. Just a little annoying that I have to remove the stuff I've decorated to remove one dig spot! If this was intended then I'll suggest if it's possible for that to detect where rugs are placed? Not sure if thats possible but I had to remove the rug and a gazebo that was placed over head in order to dig it up so was just slightly frustrating!

I think this is the best spot to out this but I can't harvest anything. I am aalking around and cant pick up and oregano, basil, mushroom, anything like that off the ground. I can pick up wood and things from trees. It was like this last night too and i tried reaetting the game, still doesnt work.

Certain mining spots will cause mining buddies to flash and twitch erratically. The only way they stop is when you start mining at a normally functioning mining spot. This is likely to cause seizures so it needs to be sorted with the hot fix ideally.

You may already be on this but the newly introduced items are not counting as unlocked after obtaining them so crafting recipes aren't unlocked. ie: I can't make the new red beach lights as the recipe doesn't unlock because it doesn't recognize I found rubies in the mine

A deal with Ursula quest
In the quest "A Deal With Ursula" I have completed every step and have all of the crystals but when I go to the Forgotten Lands to place them, there is no prompt to do so. I approach the pedestals and there is no "press A to check" option, just nothing. Anybody else having this issue? I submitted a ticket on Oct 16th and didn't hear back until after the update saying most bugs were fixed with the update.. this one was not. Submitted a new ticket and haven't heard back. So frustrating!!!!

My achievements seem to have frozen since the update. I reached 900 meals cooked today, claimed the dreamlight task in game, but my xbox achievement still says only 44% complete. Similar for the Harvest Veg task. Over halfway done in game but xbox achievement also frozen at 44%.

I’m unable to claim all the blue chests that appear. I find 2, one being from the day before, and the other is new. After opening one chest, I go over to the second one, and the game tells me I already claimed all the rewards for today and to come back tomorrow. And that unopened chest just sits there. I’m unable to claim the rewards until the next day, and when I do the next chest doesn’t let me claim rewards from it.

Summary: I get 2 chests but can only open 1. (Continues in a cycle where I can only pick up rewards from one chest, even though 2 exist in my valley at the start of each day.)

I have received 1 bucket since the launch of the Halloween candy event (its been active for over 24 hours now). No respawns of buckets at midnight, not buckets other than the initial one. I have reported this on twitter, social medias, submitted a ticket, reddit, etc.

There are others having similar issues. Please look into this before the event is over so people don't get left out of an event! I can't even complete my 3 course meal task. This might not be your issue, but it looks like if you make a new herring dish, it will register. It refused to register the herring she gave me as the right item, but if you make one yourself (instead of the one Elsa gave you), it may work

This is not a joycon drift issue, it only happens in this game (If it was joy con drift other games would be affected but they are not.) I have tried multiple times, with brand new joy cons, as well as newly fixed joy cons and a pro controller with the joycons turned off fully and disconnected from the console.

What is it doing? Ever since the scar update, I've noticed that certain chairs and benches won't let me sit on them if they're one space away from another piece of furniture in front of them. For example, I just tried to sit down at a chair placed in front of a small table that I put outside of Chez Remy, and instead of letting me sit down I pressed A and my character just stood there. I wasn't able to do anything and had to close the game. This is the second time this has happened, the first time it happened with the new Halloween bench in front of a campfire.

I'm not sure if it's my laptop's fault or a performance issue in general (maybe some other laptop users may confirm this 😉 ) But when I play when my laptop is on battery, everything's fine. As soon as I plug it in to charge it, the game starts lagging and the FPS drop significantly

What is it doing?: The green chest is not spawning. I have searched everywhere. Please note that I have unlocked ALL biomes currently in the game and I've completed ALL quests. I've run my avatar all over the map, can't find it, searched in furniture mode and even moved every movable object in the game. The green chest is nowhere to be found.

Platform: Switch, Issue: When I enter the castle I can no longer access my menus (tools, bag, questing). I was able to work around this by transporting into the realms via the well once they were unlocked. However, I can’t interact with the objects behind the hidden door because it freezes on the information and won’t let me back out. I can’t complete Maui’s quest “Heart of Dreamlight Valley” because when I pick up the shard it freezes. Since I can’t access my menu with the + button, I can’t even save and close. The only thing I can do is close it using the home button to get to the homescreen and close the game to relaunch. But that leaves me right back where I started still needing to progress. This has been since I started the game and it’s horrible.

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this but I keep having a issue with being blocked in a certain area when i have a buddy tagging along. Like mining for instance, if i can't make it out of the way quick enough for them to drop the item they will push my avatar against a wall or rock and I'm unable to move unless i stop hanging with them and wait for them to leave and then ask to hang with them again to continue working on the task at hand. Happens pretty often in the mining caves and the rocks that are placed in the corner boundary.

Before it was out of sync with how much time you have till it dissapeared, after the scar update there is no sound. During scars quest to find the claws, I have every spot in each biome covered with paths except for decent sized squares for flowers, spices, and digging spots. 4 out of 5 claws spawned in the sunlit square, but the 5th one was missing. Which is weird because I had the space for it to spawn 10x. The 5th claw actually spawned in the forest of valor square I had.

I went into my Collection menu to try and see which critters I’ve unlocked, and it just doesn’t want to work. Either it won’t let me go over to the side menu at all, or it will, but then will jump to random places within those menus (such as the crafting one) and I have to move back over to the side menu, or it will only let me scroll down so far in the menu before just not letting me do anything (such as the critters menu). The only thing I can do in these situations is press B to to escape the menu screen entirely. I think I’ve explained it okay, but if there’s any further details needed I can try to provide them.

Platform: Steam. During the relevant Elsa quest line, I was able acquire.l a second vial of freezing water by putting the first one into a chest thus respawning the gathering points for the water. This wasn’t really an issue as they had disappeared after I completed the quest. Since the most recent patch, collection points for the freezing water have started spawning again if I don’t have a vial of it on my person at all times. This is somewhat frustrating as I cannot get rid of them.

Firstly throw one Item away from the inventory, that opens, after it's trying to put the quest items into.

Secondly close the inventory, after you hrew away 1 item (you will get 0 items from the quest and your item will still be there)

Thirdly try to use or sell the item you tried to throw away.
It always opens up a popup with the message "NotEnoughItems" or something like that.

ACROSS PLATFORMS
The filter option for decorating is infuriating. When searching by color (eg. Purple) only the Forgotten Lands Dwarf Maple, Light Maple, and Fern appear. If you add (White) to the mix, you get the Dwarf Birch -but not the Light Birch.

If you are trying to keep a color scheme in a particular area this makes the task that much more tedious with the constant scrolling through the long menu as you can't quickly sort through to the ones that you want. Add into the fact that you can't just click on something to "replicate" it, it becomes even more of a chore.

I have about 13-14 characters unlocked. Issue: I have a weird bug I've been experiencing lately. It only occurs and was noticed because I placed area storage boxes for each area. If I get a stack of an item I take it out as well as the smaller stack so I can keep the box clean. We'll I've noticed recently, when I put the smaller stack in the box, my cursor automatically goes to the next free slot in the box I'm working with rather than staying in my inventory where the item used to be as it usually does when I put an item in a box. It only does this on this occasion. I can not replicate it any other way. Take full stack out, take small stack out, place small stack back in box where full stack used to be, and boom, my highlighted selection is automatically in the next empty spot in the box.

Gardening puzzle pieces are most often found while foraging rather than actually gardening. None of the puzzles are marked for foraging, and Foraging and Gardening are two totally different sections of the game.

Also, I've completed over 90% of the achievements and duties, and yet I've only collected 10% of the puzzle pieces you get for doing those duties. There is no way I'm sticking around after the story is complete to break rocks, dig holes, and fish for blurry screen shots from movies I've seen.

Issue: Recently scrolling down categories in the menu now pops the control into the contents instead of continuing to scroll down the left side menu. It used to be you had to move right (or maybe at some point you even had to click but I think move right) to end up in the contents (like scrolling through the different critters instead of going down the menu of critters, gems, characters, etc.) This makes it confusing and tedious to navigate. It seems somewhat inconsistent maybe but it happening in collections and dreamlight tasks- though maybe not always with every dreamlight category when going down? What happened: I opened the game and clicked "Continue". It brought me to the Create a New Avatar section. Confused, I exited the game and restarted. Same thing happened. I clicked through seeing if I could restart the cloud save after everything went through. It said "Never Saved" in the cloud save section, so I exited out again without touching anything. I tried opening the game on my Switch, and it gave me the option to upload my cloud save with the new character with 0 hours of playtime. So now I've completely lost my hundreds and hundreds of hours of playtime, coins, and all limited time event items.

Is there a way to go back to the last latest version of the cloud save? It's incredibly frustrating to have something like this happen.
