I’m not too sure if I have to report this here. I’m rather new to this Discord Server.
After downloading the new update on Xbox, I loaded up my game, and my character is now moving on their own. I thought it was my controller at first, so I unplugged it, then plugged it back in. Character still moves without my control.
How can I fix this?

Issue: My character walks on her own. I’m having an issue where I’ll press my W key and let go and my character just keeps walking? I’ve disconnected my keyboard, checked the physical key and used a control (xbox control) instead and it still happens? Do we know anything about this or is it on my end?

Before the update, I could do the speeding through dialogue and acknowledging with the B button. After the update, I have to specifically click the A button to acknowledge the end of dialogue. I dislike this, and I'm sure others would as well.

Issue: I play w invert camera toggled on. Every time I load up, it's back to normal (not inverted). It still shows as being turned on, but must be turned off then on again to effectively work.

Apparently the mouse scroll wheel no longer scrolls through your collections. You have to manually move the scroll bar or click and drag on the screen.

Platform: Switch - Whatever changes were made to the camera movements make it very difficult in decorate mode. For example, scrolling through items in your inventory with the left stick makes the camera move away from the area you are decorating.

The menu works for all tabs but the quests. When I am o. That tab I cannot scroll down. That means I can't change the quest parameters I am on.

Issue: when you move through crafting recipes with L1 and R1 you get stuck sometimes and only way to get out is to press circle. It always happens when reaching fence tab. It I go back and forth between the other tabs it happens too after a few times. R1 seems to be the problem. When cycling through the tabs with just L1 it doesn't seem to freeze.

Scrolling up or down no longer causes the camera to zoom in or out when in the map.

Update: logging in and out fixed it -- it zooms correctly in the map. Zoom doesn't work in the world, but I can't remember if it used to ><

I've had an issue a few times now where things seem to get stuck, if I have a UI window open I won't be able to close it with ESC or clicking the X, most recently I had the map open and while I could move around on it I couldn't zoom in or out, then I hit the fast travel button and I couldn't close it, I had to restart the game to resolve but this is the 3rd time it's happened.

I'm having this same issue. However, I think it maybe an Xbox controller issue as I'm on PC (a laptop to be specific), but I use an Xbox controller to play and today was the first time I used the crafting station since the update, and this started happing.

Issue: since the update the controls randomly stop working and on the SETTINGS menu ingame they only work on the game guide submenu. If we move to either Sounds, Controls or Help the controls don't do anything and I need to manually screen touch to do anything

It looks like after the new update you can no longer skip dialogs (e.g. when you go to Goofy's Stall or want to look on an item in Scrooge's Store) with the ESC button. Only clicks work now. I don't know if it was intended, but it was really comfortable. Way more than clicking through the dialog

Before the update I wasn't able to complete Donald's lv 10 quest because I got booted from the game right as I took the picture. After the update, the game tried to open with all of the characters at the fountain and won't let me move. None of my controls work. I can teleport to other wells but can't move.

Issue: The only control that works on my controller is character and camera movement with joysticks. No other buttons are functioning since the update. I played with this setup pre-update and never had any issue with an Xbox controller. Keyboard controls work fine.

Platform: Switch. I went to see what the controls would be like if switched to inverted. Was not a fan, so I switched it off. Now my camera will not move on the vertical axis. I switched to the pc and everything was fine. So I uninstalled it on the switch and when I loaded it back up, same thing happened. Anyone else ever experience this? Went to check it today, and still no vertical movement when inverted is off.

Issue: Right stick (Y axis) inversion resetting with game restart. When I boot the game up and load in, my look inversion is not inverted anymore, however, the menu shows it as on. It is an easy fix by turning it off then on again, but is annoying to have to do every time. This is since latest update (Scar update).

Issue: Sometimes when I'm in build mode I can't tap through the menu anymore. I then have to close it completely and open it again to make it work again.

Issue: when placing furniture, sometimes it all bugs out. The main issue is most times I can’t press B to save and exit, but I can press x to open the menu again, but can’t access anything. This leaves me stuck. This is a real issue, because while I can’t decorate.. I also can’t complete quest related things. I’ve had this issue when just accessing the furniture mode, placing normal objects, placing new seasonal items, and quest related. The only way I can get out is if I close my game out completely and progress doesn’t save. It’s weird because it was working perfectly before until now. Now, it’s broken completely. Sometimes it’ll constantly have flashes on the screen until it crashes, too.

Hey all, So im on a steam deck and when I go to the cloud save section, when i type in my email it populates as expected but it also populates my email into the password cell. If i then try to change the incorrect password, it then also removes my email and puts my password in both cells. I cannot seem to find a workaround. Issue: I have two. The first is ever since the new update my mouse scroll wheel doesn't work when using the menu anymore, I have to use the bar. The second is that when using an Xbox controller (I play through Gamepass) the controller works-ish, but it also registers my mouse as an input and I get a flickering ghost mouse cursor thats stuck in the middle of the screen. It causes the controls to be wonky as if it's registering both inputs at the same time

This is what I di to make it work: I went to steam on my laptop and used my cloud save. Then I walked around and talked to a couple of villagers. Enough to do a save. I saved then exited. Then went to my deck and All I had to do is open the game and it worked. HTH

PC Steam. The area near each pillar is inappropriately marked as valid for items to land/spawn, which I already reported elsewhere. Beyond this, though, attempting to pick up one of these items resulted in the character trying to reach it, being unable to reach it, and the game effectively hanging indefinitely. Had to force quit.

Issue: I tried to update my game and it completely crashed my Xbox. I even reset my Xbox, which made my partner upset, but it kept crashing. Wouldn’t even let me uninstall the game to fix it. After I reset the Xbox, it started working again.. after my roommate fixed it. My Xbox has never done anything like this until I went to go update the game.

Issue: I am having to close out the game without saving periodically as my controls stop working (scrolling stops, escape key stops, interaction keys stop working). This has been ongoing on the PC platform since the recent update. This does not happen on my switch. When these buttons stop working there isn't any other way to fix the issue than force stopping the game and restarting it. I can't open the menu to even save or safely log out with a save.

Issue: When walking out of Ursula's lair, I got stuck in the "doorway". My character was walking in place and no buttons worked at all; I tried opening the menu, I tried fishing because I had the fishing pole in my hands, I tried running in different directions and my character stayed in the same orientation. I thought I would have to alt f4 my way out, but I randomly popped out of the lair to outside
Issue (again): Ahh the same thing happened, but I froze instead of seeming to be stuck. I was just walking in the forest of valor and picking up garlic when I froze randomly. No buttons work - can't open map, can't walk, can't pull out tools. The only thing that does work is moving the camera to different angles. My character is just standing there not responding to anything. Time is still moving. This time I really did have to alt f4

I have noticed that the inverted only works when standing still, but switches to non-inverted when moving and trying to look, and then goes back to inverted when standing still again.. so confusing 🙂

Basically seems like drift but I don’t have the issue in any other game or my switch menu, and the joycons are showing as calibrated. Plus it’s happening even with different joycons or no joycons. Also the game doesn't show the + and the - buttons in the hub and the menus, it always show a blank square or simply nothing. Also when I am selecting furniture, the screen moves as if I am actively trying to change my camara position. So if I want a chair at the bottom if the page and I was decorating the plaza, by the time the chair is selected I'll be at the beach of glade of trust

So this is new since the update and it's VERY MINOR but still a glitch. When I'm crafting at the crafting station and switching between tabs if I go rhe furniture tab and then back where to the crystals tab the crafts disappear and the crafting table freezes. I'm able to back out and open the crafting table to get back to what I was doing tho.

Issue: the game seems to be stuck in spamming x mode, it picks up everything I walk near, clears night thorns that I walk up to, starts conversations with characters if I walk near them but does not continue the conversation once the conversation has started so I can leave the conversation but it will immidiatley start talking to them again. I thought it was the controller but I don't have this issue with any other game or even on the ps home page. I restarted the game several times and it didn't fix it, had to restart my console but then x stopped working altogether and now I can't pick anything up or start conversations

Issue: I think this is a control issue? But I sometimes get stuck trying to leave Remy's restaurant. My character walks between my tag-along (who was Remy) and the exit door, only for me to get stuck in a permanent walking animation loop. I can't exit the animation, I can't move from my spot, I can't leave the shop, I can't talk to anyone, I can't pull up any menus, etc. I had to forcefully close the game from my desktop and restart it.

I truly hope they revert this back to being able to use the cancel button on controller to speed thru dialogue again. I have accidentally bought things that I didn’t want when in shops when I just try to press the action button to speed through. It’s very annoying.

Platform: PC/Steam Issue: Mouse sensitivity settings don't stay constant. I adjust the setting so the camera isn't flying everywhere with the smallest movement. Logged off for a bit, came back & my mouse was super sensitive again. I checked the setting & it was still at the level I left it at. Then I set it all the way down, logged off, restarted the game, & it seemed fine at first. But after some time, maybe 30+ mins, it feels too sensitive again. This setting is just no longer acting in a consistent manner.

It's not that big of an issue but I play on controller and noticed this started happening a couple of days ago. Whenever I start the game, I'm able to move past the first screen by pressing any button on controller, but once the menu appears, it doesn't register any input from the controller. I have to use my mouse to click on any option in the main menu. This is the only time it doesn't register the controller, otherwise gameplay is fine.

I have to move away and then come back but then the map and everything except the castle, plaza fountain, and myself icon is there. Then I have to use my mouse to click on the plaza fountain and I'm able to escape the menu, but then I can't reopen it when needed.

Xbox - the new hotfix rolled back the 60fps fix from the Scar update. Game back to 30fps and very sluggish. Map view is extremely slow to zoom in / out and to even move the cursor. This is on a Series X

Issue: a button does not work at times, so unable to save the game and have to wait for it to autosave before reloading the game and it works for a short time. Also cannot buy items as the a button wont work on that either.

When decorating, after placing an item and it toggles back to inventory to choose another the highlight around items is no longer there and the list no longer scrolls. Have to back out to category selection menu and reselect for each item. This only happens in the main selection not trees, bushes, paths ect.

Issue: My laptop felt a lot hotter than usual when playing this game (and it already tended to get pretty hot) so I checked my Task Manager to see what was going on. I know this isn't an "issue" per say, but I feel like it's important to note since some optimizations were done in a recent update.

Issue: In the game menu, soon as I go to the Collections tab, it scrolls to the bottom automatically. I have detached and reattached my left joycon and that sorta helps.. at least to scroll back to the top, but soon as I go into the collection tab a second time, it scrolls down automatically again. Anyone else have this issue?
None of the other tabs have this problem I noticed, so I don’t think I have “joycon drift” just yet

Issue: while I am putting stuff down in furniture mode, I cannot back out using the B button. The game freezes instead. This happens indoors and outdoors. I have hard restarted the switch and gone through the menu many times. And let the switch sit for some time. I have also reinstalled the game. The problem is still there. Everything is also up to date and I have tested the B button on other games and it works. Thank you.

“A” button does not confirm the currently selected choice. Menu confirmation is no longer possible. The rest of the buttons (such as B to dismiss the menu) work.

Yes same day, loaded the game, realized I couldn't scroll. Quit the game, loaded it after moment, still wouldn't scroll. I really wanted to play so I tried quitting and reloading and its now working, scrolling and all

Help! I can't play... My screen goes to disney logo, gameloft logo an then shuts down. I tried everything (open as admin, repair, update graphics, look at starting processes,...). Nothing helps. So this just started tonight as I was trying to harvest crops in Wall-Es garden. The controls wouldn’t work. And it was the second time this has happened today. I had to close out of the game both times.

Issue: Performance is poor since the hotfix. Also, there seems to be a bug with the camera controls. I have mine set to inverted but every time I load up the game I have to go into the settings and turn the inverted controls off and then back on.

Issue: Crafting menu, if I use R to go directly to the end of the tabs I can't use L to go back to the other tabs. Have to exit out of crafting to regain functionality. If I view craftable items first in other tabs and then go to the last tab I can use my L button to go back to other tabs. But if I go straight back to the last tab without looking at craftables on other tabs, the L button stops functioning.

Issue: Idk if it fits here, but I was foraging around, and suddenly all the controls stopped working. Couldn't pause the game, couldn't move my character. Tabbed in and out to make sure I was in the game, and nothing would work, I could only move the camera around. Dunno what caused it in the first place.

On the menu of the collection, it’s difficult to go up and down. Buttons doesnt respond well.

• also, while looking at the collection, (also during the custom of the valley) the button to go up and down stops randomly working. And some items become impossible to grab unless I do it touching manually the screen

I'm having similar issues to other people with the character and menus going rapidly up or down. I thought it was my joycons that where faulty and bought new ones and still having the same issues and now feel like I've wasted myself £50 buying new controllers 😦

Immediately after "Removing" a Night Thorn (that dropped a Seed Pouch, on the Beach, holding a Pick-Axe, while using the Controller), my character stopped moving. I can still control the camera, but I cannot open any menu, nor move my character. And none of the Keyboard keys respond at all.
