Nintendo switch I can’t save anything to cloud
Nintendo switch, same issue as above 👆 tells me I am offline
Playing on PC. Also says I’m offline and can’t save to cloud and cannot see event.
Gameloft is aware of current connectivity issues with cloud saves

Steam Deck - Currently logged into my local save, however, can't save my progress to the cloud due to an error and saying I'm in offline mode.
Switch - This account is being used elsewhere message or something along that line. Even though I originally made this account on my switch.
PC- see attached image. So I just can't play on any of the three platforms.

I saved, was unable to cloud save, updated, saved, and then I was able to cloud save. So I just didn’t cloud save before. From what I see I didn’t lose anything

windows laptop win 11. The offline issue is worse now. I hardly had this issue prior to the update. Now im almost always offline. Its difficult to get back online too

Issue: I tried to log in to the cloud save using the registered account. However, all my previous save data are still lost and i couldn't retrieve it back. I've completed all quests before this current update. Quite disappointed that all my save data we're gone. Kindly help to resolve this issue.

I’ve also never been able to link my switch and Xbox. I have the switch updating the game right now. I’m hoping I’ll be able to sync my saves?
It always fails to connect, when I try it via StarPath, found two blue chests and connected flawlessly, when prompted there, at least for 5 minutes each, before I got offlined again.
It dropped me from being online and can’t reconnect now. System is PC

I hope this is the place for this. Just wanted to say I can FINALLY play my save on my switch after getting the prompt of keeping the local or cloud save. I was never able to link my saves correctly until the update. Thank you

Issue: first thing first. I was a xbox pass user who bought and then logged in on steam. for some reason i keep going offline and I'm suddenly missing moons. I only have 700 now and i haven't spent any. If it not possible to get it all back, could i at least get the 8k back for buying the game? i was saving them for starpaths like Halloween and Christmas.

I'm about to cloud save but my game keeps going offline. I get it back eventually but it's fairly constant.

Issue: Still can’t log in to cloud save on either device. Stuck in offline mode even though I’m connected to the internet on both. Won’t even let me create a new account. I spent $70 on each device to get the ultimate edition too. I’ve been trying to log in over and over again and nothing. I’ve quit the game, restarted the console several times, still can’t log in. Not gonna bother playing this BS til they fix it. So disappointed.
I'm also trying to connect to the cloud, it's impossible as if I'm not connected to internet ! Not a plateform problem as it doesn't work on steam and Xbox... 🥲

Issue: I have not been able to connect to the internet in-game for 38 days. I cannot access the star path, blue chests, or cloud save. I try to connect and it instantly fails, despite having internet access on the computer.
I have tried: Restarting my router, restarting my modem, restarting my PC, turning firewall off & on, flushing my DNS, removing the game from my firewall entirely, adding it back manually, uninstalling, reinstalling, moving the install between drives (which worked exactly 1 time before, for about 3-4 days,) attempting a connection while my computer's connection was offline and then trying online. The "failure" occurs at exactly the same speed and in the same manner if I am entirely offline as if I am actually online. The log mentions a cert handshake failure every single time.
I can’t even log out. It’s been nine days and I haven’t been able to load the game due to this issue, and no response or help anywhere. I did report it to customer support on the 10th and nothing. I got it on Switch hoping it would fix the issue and it doesn’t.
Still disconnecting from the cloud PC/Steam
platform: Epic on PC. Kept loosing online connectivity about every 10 minutes or so, completely closing the game to desktop and re-starting seemed to solve this temporarily for about an hour. Doesn't seem to work now though, I straight up start the game without being connected and it refuses to connect when I attempt to do so via the event tab/refuses to cloud save when I attempt to manually.
Finally got my game reconnected need to update my cloud save as I’ve been playing the past few hours. Went to collect from the star path and it disconnected yet again 😡
Thank you for the @ So the server/cloud has been connecting and disconnecting since I started playing today. Random. I am able to connect again sometimes by selecting the option to do so.
Since the update I can't play! It crashes every time. I'm so sad. I used to play 6 hours a day and now I can't 😪
I know that the devs know but still 😦 any word on if it's fixed or not? I just wanna play the event

I really don't understand why they put out such a major update without addressing previous cloud save concerns. Now they just made it more unplayable for the rest because they decided to ignore it being a thing.

I m on xbox and just saved locally as soon as the update was finished, but now I cannot save to the cloud. I am worried to start playing.
how can i delete my cloud save account? the one that need email and password, cause now if i sign in with the account it would just overwrite my local save, but my local save is way ahead of my cloud save and i cant do anything about it, ive been contacting the gameloft customer care for 1 and an half month with no reply, HELP ME.
When you can connect again, you should see an option pop up to choose between your local save and your cloud save. Choose whichever one is most progressed, and load it to overwrite the old save and continue with the one you progressed the most with.
It would be nice if they'd extend the event so those of us that can't access it have a chance to get all the rewards. I'd actually rebuy the game on epic and start a new account to access it if it didn't mean losing the rewards from the last event. As it stands though, I'm not giving any more money for a broken game. Love the username by the way!

It's not letting anyone log in right now. I've been playing off my local save for days. So it is much further ahead than my cloud save. But the game now asks which save you want to continue when you do get logged in (soon I hope), so you pick either your local save or cloud save to continue.
I'll pick my local, because it has all of my current progress.

Hi I can’t load my cloud save in switch. It stuck in spinning shuriken after i entered my email pass.
I've never been able to create a cloud account at all since the start. My husband bought me the Ultimate Edition for my birthday and I can't even get the stuff for it. I've been playing for 3 weeks now and it never let's me create a cloud account. Was hoping the update would solve the issue. May quit playing until this issue is resolved. So upset 😭😭

That's because your Moonstones are tied to the system you bought it on. It will be 4000+ when you switch back to your switch.

Logged on to DDLV and it's brought me to the start up menu again. I cloud saved before updating and locally saved. Logged in after update and it's all gone.
I am unable to cloud save but it show's me online because I can see the star path, but then it says I can't save to cloud because I am not connected. I am on switcg.

best method to farm rich soil is to use wheat in the meadow. 45 second grow time.
I still unable to load cloud save in my pc and switch. It gives me the spinning shuriken of death. Try reinstalling and etc, not working. The only in game that I have that's working is using xbox game pass on android.

Issue: When attempting to Cloud Save in preparation for updating my game, it gives me an error specifically stating that I cannot perform this action until I update my game. My game is current to the 1.0.5. September 15th update, which to my knowledge was the most current until this morning. Unfortunately, a Cloud Save had not been made prior, so I do not have a Cloud Save to rely upon in the event something happens. Any attempt to connect to the internet via Cloud Save or Blue Moon Chest, as opposed to telling me that I'm offline, states I cannot go online and perform any of these actions until I update my game.

Have not been able to successfully save to the cloud since the game launch. Have confirmed I am connected to the internet and the system still fails to connect to the cloud server. it has never once worked. All other features of the game that require internet work unabated, however.

I know they're not working on steamdeck support right now but it's still running the pc version so I find it odd. I'm still logged in on my desktop, so no issues there. The odd part is when I try to log in for cloud saves on my deck. I simply can't log in because when you make any changes in the email text box you also make the same change in the password text box and same the other way around. My save carried over from my desktop (I assume steam cloud) and I can redeem starpath rewards on my deck and still get them on my desktop. I bring this up just in case there's a weird issue for pc player as a whole, I'm not about to log out on my desktop to find out if it's a issue only on the deck

yeah wasn't going to, considering it's the same game version on the deck as on the desktop and I can't log in on the deck. Just a weird issue all together
So they just added a message for cloud save... but we still didn't get word if we get reverted or not...? Those of us who lost progress and been waiting in limbo about what to do?
I have this issue too. I can’t navigate to most of the menu under settings, in fact. Controls and sounds don’t work too, but that’s less of an issue than the cloud save.

Issue: I have been playing on my PC but since I cannot redeem the Star Path and never have been able to, decided to try signing in on my Xbox. Despite manually saving my Cloud Save and it saying "sync successful", my Cloud Save still has me at level 5 and only 7 hours into the game. For reference, I am level 40 and have a playtime of days.

I have one ps5. My daughter uses my profile to play and has the events, cloud saves, and blue chest. My wife plays on a separate profile. My profile has psplus, the other does not. My wife cannot access the events, cloud saves, nor the blue chests. Do I need to buy psplus for that profile for her to access the awesome Halloween event???

I can save my progress to the cloud successfully in my Settings> Help menu - it gives me the success message and states "fully synced" however when i try to log in to the cloud from the title screen i am always hit with a save conflict where my local save is time played 8 days and my cloud save is 1 day so of course, i have to continue with my local save so not to lose any progress. So what is the point of the sync option in the settings if it isn't actually syncing my progress between local and cloud?

Hi guys, for anyone who has trouble on cloud save, I found a workaround! I change the network using VPN to US and voila! I can recover my cloud save!!

I don’t know what happened but after 10 days of not being able to cloud save, do events and open blue chests; it worked. I can save and open the game on both PC Steam and Switch. After being frustrated to no reserve, I shut down both PC and Switch. For the hundredth time but this morning I was able to save. I am praying the sever stays stable. I also pray that everyone else that’s having this problem gets their’s resolved. 🧡

Issue: I lost all my game progress when switching device trying to get my cloud save progress.. I've been playing without any issues for several days/weeks.. But for some reason it all got reset to almost the beginning of the game even on my previous device when I switched back.. It kinda makes the point of having a cloud save system pointless when you loose you game progress using said feature. Also Its not allowing me to log out from the cloud save to prevent stuff like this happening again.

Issue: System is crashing and not saving progress even when I hit save. For the star path "favorite gifts" I saved at 8 gifts (out of 10) and then the system crashed and took me back down to two. Which is insane.

Played purely on Xbox through Game Pass since launch, decided to try on PC with Game Pass today. However I booted up my PC version and it’s been stuck on the title screen loading for over an hour now is it just taking time to gather the cloud save? Any advice? I tried this also on three different occasions and had the same issue
Online, and event duties and rewards are working. But cloud seems to be down? I get a very quick error when trying to quit. Doesnt even seem to be trying to connect? Fails if i try to manually synch, too, via help option in settings. Xbox series s.

Did this update fix anyones lost cloud save? I'm on PC/Steam and have been unable to log in since September 16th and gameloft have given no help at all and just sent an automated reply to my ticket. This update did nothing. I just want my money back, this isn't a trustworthy company I want to give money to.

Issue: Showing as offline, was fine when I first opened the game after the update but now I can't access the event or blue chests or cloud saves. Same screen most others are getting saying "You're Offline".
I can give you that assurance. New cloud protection stuff will now prompt you if there is a cloud save conflict between dates. So you could start over. But I just wanna know if they are or aren't working to restore our old save. :/
Platform PC/Steam/Xbox Cloud Issue: first i played for a while using xbox cloud to make sure this game is for me, then i bought ultimate edition on steam, everything was fine until my pc died. I decided to play using xbox cloud, until i get new pc, but heres my problem - cloud saves dont match i got a pop up if i want to use local or cloud save, chosen second option but my save file didnt load. Trying to fix it somehow i lost not only my save file but also 20000 points i got buing an ultimate edition. Can anyone help me with this, please? I can start over if theres no other option, but at least id like to have my points back 🥺

I'm not sure if this has been noted to the devs or not, but I've been semi-tracking the cloud save issue that I've been having, it seems that a lot of PC users are having the same issue I am. A lot of them have been noted as via the Epic store. Is there an issue with Epic store downloads being unable to accurately sync to the Cloud Server?
Don't count on them being able to restore previous save data if it's loss. There's no way they were storing this information in their cloud, not to mention with the fact that their cloud servers are still messed up here and there depending on the platform..
If you lost your save already assume it's gone tbh and don't waste time waiting around for support
Issue: I play on Switch/Game Pass. I was playing on my Switch while on vacation, saved to cloud. When I load up the game on my PC, it's the old cloud save. I've checked and everything is connected on both Switch and PC. I'm not sure if there is something I need to do to get them to properly sync again without losing the real save that's currently on the Switch?
ETA: I closed out the PC and logged back on the switch which asked me to verify the save. I resaved the switch to the cloud and now the PC seems to be pulling in the proper save finally. May take some jostling if anyone else is having this issue!
Cloud saves seem to be broken. I also cannot go into my dreamlight pass for halloween when this is down. Do we have a fix?

What is the point of the cloud save if I can’t restore to the last time I cloud saved someone explain this to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now I have to start over????????????????
The point isn't if we need to start over or not. It's that we asked a direct question on if it's possible to restore our cloud saves and we were basically told to hang tight for an answer. So we just want to hear the official yes or no. Which it's crazy we can't get that answer from email support or from community managers at gameloft. :/

Yah but it's just like you said, it's holding people in limbo and unplayable WHILE they put out new content before addressing these issues since Day 1. Sure they got "info to pass on" but no follow up right? How do we know if it's been passed on? Noone is saying anything. I'm not even sure if they're even part of Gameloft or if any Gameloft employees see the complaints on this discord and the issues.
Instead of tackling cloud save issues and lost progress, they just continued with new content and ignore the masses. Personally I wouldn't hold out hope for a response since even their emails are generic auto responders and the mods clearly read this channel but have nothing to say to all the cloud issues. Even as I type this people just post their cloud save issues. Noone is addressing it at all.
For consoles with a console-based cloud like PS4/5 and Xbox - has anyone tried uploading the local save to the Sony/Microsoft serviced, deleting the local and staring a new game to kinda hard reboot the software, then reinstall the Sony/Microsoft uploaded save?

If i then try to change the incorrect password, it then also removes my email and puts my password in both cells. I cannot seem to find a workaround. I'm having a different problem I think. Since I'm technically connected.
I launch the game (on my non main computer) and get the notice that my game data is mismatch and it prompts me to select Cloud data or Local.
I select Cloud data but when I launch the game it's not actually using my cloud data.
The Starpath while it has no progress on the active missions is accurate as is the rewards earned. So I'm "connected" but not.
Also having a time stamp for the local and the cloud data would be helpful.

I started playing on my laptop and wanted to create a cloudsave, however it never succeeded.
I started the game on a pc it created an unwanted cloudsave with 0% progress because I didn't even create a game there.
After that, my game always asked me on my laptop if I wanted to load the local save or the cloud save. Obviously I only need my local save.
I can't delete the cloud save either, it wouldn't let me.
Since the update, the issue however became worse. I can't load into my game anymore at all. If I select that I want to play the local game, a loading symbol appears for a few seconds and the same question appears again. I tried it multiple times.
I need this issue to be fixed, otherwise I won't be able to play anymore.
And I would like to get my local game saved and delete the other unused cloud save.
I wanted to return my laptop but I can't do that as long as I know that my game would be lost.
I tried to copy the data on a stick and load it onto another pc, but even then my local game wouldn't be available on the pc.
So I need help as soon as possible.

I keep getting disconnected from the server every 5 minutes and have to exit out of the game and reboot to fix -- which is no longer working either. I have no issues with my internet.
XBox Game Pass on PC
Since yesterday I have this problem where I am stuck at this window choosing which save I want to play. I want to choose the local save since it has more playtime but when I click on it the loading symbol appears shortly and then the window pops up again.
What I did before the problem started: I loaded the cloud save since I played on my Switch before and started playing with it. After a while the game informed me that I lost the connection to the server and will continue to play offline. Since I did not need the connection at that moment I left it as is. After round about 2.5h I wanted to look at the star path quests, so I tried to connect. It connected and then showed me this window (with the star path page loaded in the background). I chose local, said yes when it told me that the local save will overwrite the cloud save. But then it just kept repeating the two windows. I restartet the game and just get what you can see in the screenshot. I tried restarting my PC, still the same problem. Hours later the problem still persists, so I am not able to play at all right now.
Hope the description when this problem startet will help with finding a solution.
But I see I am not the only one with this issue so I feel a little bit better with that information.

I am trying to migrate from Epic Games on PC to Steam.
I purchased the game on Steam. When I load from a cloud save it's approx. 15 hours behind my local save for my Epic Games version.
When I launch the epic games version, and save to the cloud ingame, it shows it was desynched, then I fully sync it. The problem is, the cloud save never seems to fully sync up. Can someone help me?
On PC, I've contacted GameLoft several times and they have been super unhelpful with this.
Essentially, I have the game through Xbox Game Pass (playing on PC) and I do not plan to renew so I purchased the game on steam. When I tried to access my cloud save in Steam, I received an error message stating "There is already an account associated with this email". Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Appreciate any insight

Game crashed after a few hours of playing. When I restarted the game, I got a black screen saying some file was missing and the game reset back to the very beginning.
Luckily I have PS+ so downloaded my cloud save. I got a few conflicting messages like @wet surge did, but eventually it worked (after quite a few restarts).
Problem: even though I manually cloud save every hour or so, and it says "synced", the cloud save stored was 19h old according to the info given.
I was only missing recent stuff (created clothes, resources), but it did save my Star Path progress of that day.
how is this bug not fixed?! it's been there since day 1
Can anyone confirm since the new patch that the game isn't uploading old saves anymore? Does it indeed give a prompt if there is a conflict?

I play on Xbox and switch. Im sad and a little bit of mad. I had about 72h on local save. I could not even save to cloud for some reason. Now with the update I can’t again save to cloud and had to start from 24h. I had all characters level 10 and every building max level and all that was left to do was to wait for the update and collect more stuff. Please tell me I can somehow save to cloud. Ever since game update, I cannot move right to select any option on Help, Sound, or Control menu. I was saving to cloud daily before Scar update. I have tried daily si ce and I cannot even highlight Save to Cloud and I am 4 days, 18 hours out of sync.

Issue: My girlfriend plays on her switch and I play on the Xbox. Somehow wires have been crossed and my cloud save showed up on her switch which she opened accidentally and it has completely deleted her local save. We cannot figure out how to reaccess it and she is logged into her cloud save account on the switch so it makes no sense. Please help us fix this and recover her account!! All her hard work is just gone. I tried logging into a fresh game oh her Xbox account and into her cloud save but it shows her at level 1 with nothing else there. Please please help.

Day 12 (13 technically since it’s past midnight now) of the same “game initialization error #5” and still no help.
Started on Xbox One X, tried on Series X no use. Bought it on Switch, no use. Signed in to it on our Windows PC as we have game pass and it carried over, same issue. Try signing out of Cloud on all platforms and we get the errors shown.
It’s looking like the game deleted my entire save. 100 hours put in, everyone level 10, my last star path was completed so I’m sure I lost that. Feeling utterly defeated and disappointed in the lack of assistance with this error.

Having the same issue trying to log my kid in on her own xbox account. She had been playing on her dad's. Can move from her Dad's xbox account to her switch, but we can't get her logged into her cloud account on her own Xbox even if we wipe the save from her dad's xbox account
Any updates on the cloud issues? Or are we having to take another month without playing? Because I’m that case I’m requesting a refund. I literally was only able to play the first week, after that all ive been having is cloud saves issues where it’s making me restart which is ridiculous after all the time I put into the game.

Issue: can’t load cloud save from xbox - no option to choose cloud when logged into the same cloud account, this worked fine be for the 19th oct update.
For those of you on PC, if you have an antivirus, try exiting it completely. (Please do this after having run a scan & not being connected to the internet, for your safety.) Once it is closed, try connecting to the internet in-game again. I had been using Kaspersky antivirus and after it stopped Discord from connecting, I tried to connect to this game again and it worked, after having not worked for 40 days.
My issue seems to be two-fold: saving to the cloud fails on my Xbox and Switch, and unable to play local save. Since I can’t back up my progress on my Xbox to my Switch, I forfeited it and played from my last Save, but the I got kicked offline. Trouble now is that my local save isn’t on the cloud, and when I try to go back in and play my local save, the game literally will not let me. I select “keep local save” and I get the spinning star, then that same window again - meaning I’d have to forfeit my progress again, and start from my last cloud save.

I am in the same condition as you. All my progresses are lost where I bought the ultimate edition. If I restart the whole game, I also cant retrieve my ultimate edition's stuffs. That's really suck, to be honest.
Right.. So we just have to suck it up and start over.. that kinda sucks tbh! They should disable or completely remove cloud save until it works properly to prevent stuff like this from happening 😮💨
The ultimate founders stuff is "save" based not account. So yes you can start over and still have the founders stuff

For me, I may turn off auto sync on my switch, This way I can keep a local save secured on the nintendo server. On steam, we already know we can backup that save file manually

Wonder if thats Steam PC to Steam PC.. where one PC didnt get Steam Cloud synced... so when you loaded up DLV.. it uploads a blank file...?

If you play on 2 diff devices... The difference in moonstone is only on the device you paid for it on. It will be there on the "original" console of purchase

I'm having cloud saving issues on the platforms I have cloud saves (Steam and Xbox)... it has been a big problem since the update because now, on loading the game, if there is a discrepancy and you keep the local file, it still tries to upload that to the cloud and when it fails, you can't exit the screen so either have to shut it off or take the progress loss in accepting the cloud file. And if it continues to fail, you can't progress from your last cloud save at all. From testing on the different platforms and in a bunch of spots, I do think I see the problem: No issues at all when using a very fast hotspot. My home connection is slow, I've only gotten it to work a couple times there. It looks to me like it is timing out but not saying so.

I dont play from epic games, but can only warn you like the person befor your reply. stay away from crossplay and play only locally on one device until the cloud save problem is fixed. if you play 2 devices and let an old cloud save replace the latest save there is no way of going back. that is confirmed from contacting through the main support page.

After The last Patch release date it was working properly but some hours after The scar Patch release it started to not sync between them. It says that i have a Cloud save to sync it shows The sync icon but when. I start The game its The local save.

Issue: Under the tab Settings. The Help screen. I cannot scroll over to the right in order to cloud save. This is especially a problem, because I play on my TV so much. If I play handheld, then I can use the touchscreen to cloud save. So it can be done just not with a cursor.
If I still have the correct information, then Playstation does not even support cloud save with the game cloud yet.
Moonstones do not sync between platforms. You have one amount on the switch and another amount on PC. If the moonstones are your only issue, then everything is fine.

I haven't been able to save to cloud in the last 4 or so days. My game crashes often and sometimes it corrupts my data and i lose progress, so i'm afraid to play until my cloud is working
Not true use the exact same character on both for well since EA and have always had the exact amount on both, also this does not fix my cloud synch issue. Please dev team look into the ticket I sent and/or the bug i'm facing as it becomes frustrating to not be able to synch my cloud at all on either platform properly.
I am SO sorry to hear that :(! I think I found your posts when I initially experienced the error and was hoping there was a resolution. I’ll be sure to do the same if I hear of any fix!
I do feel a little guilty, I was blowing up their posts every day. I was so frustrated that no one could even take the time to say “we’re working on it” or “we see the issue please be patient”, but could comment on all the other players posts about outfits and how much they loved the game 🙄 I’ve all but given up on getting my game back. I lost all those outfits, furniture pieces, 40k dreamlight saved for new biomes… don’t give up on your save yet if you can wait. I’m hopeful that customer support will reach out to me eventually and when they do hopefully it’ll help you at least 🙂
Ugh! Don’t feel guilty at all, I would feel the exact same way. At that point ANY response would be preferable to none. I am sure other folks will have the issue too down the line, I’m sorry that you lost all of your progress as a result of the error but thank you for all of your work in at least trying to get ahold of support 🥲🥺!

I know this is mostly about lost saves and cloud connection issues mainly, but I have my 2 cents to add for today.
I connected to the cloud today, and ever since my whole game has gone to crap. Mining spots essentially disappeared, without respawning, I cannot harvest anything, from my garden to wild foraging, the exception being fruit trees minus the apple trees, my berry bushes are not replenishing, and after I fished them. There have been zero fishing bubbles respawned at ALL. None of this was happening until I connected to the cloud.

I wasn't able to upload save to cloud since last patch, so I tried doing a test on PS4, started a new game than uploading at start to server: all good.
Now when I start the game on PS5 it keep asking if I want to keep local save (the real save) or the cloud save (test save) and no matter how many times I click "keep local save" game just keep asking, I'm totally unable to play online now, it's impossible to keep my local save file.
I can only play offline so that game will not force me to use cloud save (the test one) but this way I can't access to event at all, and I payed 2500 moon currency for it!

PS4 when I click continue, message “local save and cloud save conflict, which save would you like to continue with” but no matter how many times I click local it will not load. Have to choose cloud and then any progress completed in game is then not saved to cloud and time is wasted. Is there a way to disable cloud save until issue is fixed?

Choosing cloud, the game loads, but still starts at the point my local file was at, so progress from pc is lost.

I started the day playing in the PC. Imported most recent cloud save. Bought out the store etc. Then noticed my inventory items missing and my quests weren't progressed like they should be. Logged out and logged into my Stream Deck. Totally different store items, quests progressed as usual. I'm afraid that there's this other save in the cloud that's going to prevent those clothes items from spawning in the shop for me again
SAME! My fiancé and I both play on our XBox One S. We got a Steam Deck recently, and i purchased Dreamlight Valley for the Steam Deck. Got everything all loaded up fine. Fiancé created a cloud account, all good. He is currently traveling and has the Deck with him, and when he loads in, the cloud save is from when he was level 29…he is past 40 on the XBox. When i turn on his XBox, I get a Cloud Save Conflict, and it won’t let me keep the local file, it just spins when i do and goes right back to the Conflict screen. I even had him log out of the cloud on the Deck, hoping that might help. I can’t sign out of the Cloud on the XBox because it won’t let me do anything🙈
i downloaded the game via steam for my partner but the cloud save wont let it log in when she goes to play it on her switch, any clue why ( sorry dont have screenshots as its the switch problem) it just says login failed

Same issue as others "Cloud Save Conflict" on both PC/Switch can't synch my one game at said moment and sent ticket about a week ago. Hope it gets looked into along with all other issues.

Don't rely on the joy con's. Use the touch screen and just select cloud save/sync
Yep, still having the issue too, and with more testing I'm even more convinced it is a timeout issue. Even downloading the cloud save with my slow home internet takes longer than it gives to try to upload the cloud save before failing. My suggestion to the devs here as a quick fix would be to add in an option to toggle off and on the Cloud Saves, or at least return it to where if you keep the local save, you can proceed with playing online if it won't upload to the cloud. I'd also recommend either a confirmation or making players hold down the button for a few seconds on the file select there, it is easy to accidently select the wrong one and lose progress.

Not sure if this is where I need to post this but my husband and I play on Playstation 4 right now and are looking at getting a Playstation 5 and we're not sure how transfer the 4 to the 5. We've been saving on the cloud but we don't have the cloud login like our daughter does on the switch. We're just wanting to make sure how to transfer our progress before we our Playstation 5. Thanks.
Updated to new version on PS5: still cloud save conflict and still impossible to keep local save file while playing online. Because of this I'm still totally unable to play online and to play anything event related, and while time is passing my 2500 currency payed for with real money are going to waste...

I started playing this game at my boyfriends house on his Xbox, but now I want to play it on my PC as well. I made a cloud saving on his Xbox, but now I can't log out on his Xbox and I can also not log in on my PC. I've seen multiple articles about restarting the game and the Xbox, but it doesn't work. It also doesn't work to just retry 10x. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
What I wouldn't give to see the code for the cloud save. I can't even begin to guess what kind of hellscape the code is.

Save again 15 times to manage one save.
Now save is permanently out of sync with 13 minutes 25 secs no matter how long I play. 🥴
Edit: The 13 minutes now turned to 3 hours, whichvis interesting because you know... It's been about an hour since it first said it was 13 minutes out of sync..
It is just making up random times and never saving.

Issue: I lost my savestate and everything is gone, the game crash and said "dmg data" and after i log back into my account everything was gone

Issue: Save file is stuck loading - I've left it running for 5 hours and it never loads the save data, but moves millimetres at a time toward the end. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, deleted the local save so it pulls from cloud, saved a backup of the local file and started a new one then replaced the internal files of the new save with the old save - no change at all. Seems my save is just corrupt, which is upsetting since I've already restarted once due to a time freezing bug.

ISSUE:: Unable to log out of cloud save to log another player in. I used my cloud account on both the switch and the Xbox. My son wants to begin a new game on the Xbox but when we try to log out of the GameLoft account it gives us an error saying it cannot connect.

Ps5 doesn't have cross save. But I think we should as least be able to recover our cloud save in case of local data corruption... But unfortunately we can't and this is not fair

It's a bit disappointing but seems like it can't be helped.
The issue I am having is on my xbox 360 and it will not let me log out of my cloud save and if I try to log in elsewhere with my cloud save it says it is unable to because I am logged in somewhere else.
Is there anyone who had the problem that they can’t log out from cloud, but now it’s working because of the new update?
my local save had more progress then i was stuck on this menu i already chose cloud save once now i dont want to play in fear of losing more time ;-;
Maybe a little workaround: It looks like you have played on at least two platforms, is that correct? (Figured because of the big moonstone difference)
I have the same problem on Xbox Game Pass on my PC and are not able to play on that platform anymore without getting this window the next time I open the game.
But I also have the game on Switch, where I am able to play without any issues at the moment.
You could maybe try to play on the other platform until this issue is resolved.

I have two platforms that I play on using Cloud Save: PC (mainly) and Switch.
Recently i've been getting on my switch to check the store and that's just about it, so i have not played on my PC platform for about 13 days. I know for a fact this morning around 12am, I was at "3 days X hours" in for my playtime.
When I logged onto my PC, normally it gives me a prompt to choose between my Local and Cloud Save. This time it did not ask me that prompt.
I went through and realize that all my crops were missing (even though on my switch this morning they've been full for a long while). So I looked through my inventory, I hardly had anything, my coins were at 1.7 Million when this morning they were at approximately 1.0-1.1 Million.
I forced out of the game on my pc and went back to my switch profile to see if it was messing up as well. So I loaded up my game and it had started to load. The "Cloud Save Error" had came across my screen and I knew my game progress is messed up.
Is there any way to get my progress back? All of my quest and store progress is wiped back to when I was at "2 days X hours" amount of playtime.
Okay, that is a real problem. I am lucky that my cloud save functions on my switch properly.
I played offline for a while before the big update when I had other save issues and came online just to work on the star path, checked the missions out and then went offline again. Weirdly the game registers properly if you fulfilled a star path mission even if you are offline.
What should I do?
I have my backup save from when I had checked my progress from this early this morning.
I had 3 days worth of time for the "Back Up Save" versus around 2 days with the "Console Save".
I don't want to lose any of my progress as I did pay for the Ultimate on PC & Standard on Switch.

Issue: Lost Cloud Save and Local Save doesn’t seem to exist
Was having glitches yesterday - Mickey picnic quest not advancing when I got to the picnic spot. Moved position and that seemed to fix it. Was in a conversation right after and when I left the conversation the blurred view wouldn’t go away till I restarted the game. And today, my save is gone!
Clicking Continue takes me to character creator. I read there was a way to load saves but not how, so tried to go through character creation hoping to find the option in settings. Found nothing. Restarted the game a few times.
Back to title screen. Logged out of cloud and it couldn’t find local save. Relogged into the cloud and only most recent restart is found even though I never saved it and it said so in the menu when I was looking for the load save thing.
Looked up where local saves should be and I don’t even have the folders for the local save.
When I first launched the game it presented the option for cloud saves which I jumped on cause it seemed more secure. Seems like it skipped making a local save because of that.
Also, I manually save before quitting each night so no idea how it could glitch this badly. 13hrs of progress gone! Please help!

It’s freaking maddening…like, if there is a possibility of files being lost or corrupted, don’t tell us that we can cross platform save…or give us a damn way to choose which one loads.

I had exclusively been playing on Xbox and decided to try it on PC. It loaded the cloud save fine but when I went to quit for the night it was unable to save to the cloud. Guess I was foolish to think I'd just be able to resume from the local save.
So you have a fast connection. I’ve wondered along with some of a slow connection speed was the culprate, but apparently not.

I have the same issue with this kind of loop. The worst part is:
The cloud save doesn't work on my laptop for whatever reason (the support didn't really help me out on this issue), so my friend plays on my behalf on his computer and streams it for me. The cloud save works on his pc.
If I try to play on my laptop however, it only allows me to load into the cloud save. It loops the question if I select the local save. Since I only can save local on my laptop however, I can't make any progress myself.
I am stuck on the same progress forever on my devices. I have to rely on my friend to play for me which is just exhausting in the long run and not what I paid for by buying this game and after putting many hours into it before this issue occurred.

I’m having issues to upload my save to cloud since the last bug of loading screen, the open normally without problem but still won’t let me update my save to the server. This is the first time I’m having this problem

Issue: Local & Cloud save not synced. I am way past level 40 and i have been saving to the cloud via Settings --> Help --> cloud save. This whole time i thought that they were in sync. My mailbox had mail with dream shards and it was telling me to log into my cloud save file before claiming. I grinded for the recent and current Events and would hate to lose all my Halloween & Pixar fest items.

Same thing happened to my fiancé. We play on XBox/Steam Deck. It wouldn’t let him load the local save, wouldn’t let him log out of cloud. Totally no solution other than to load the cloud save. He lost more than 11 levels, and about 20 hours of gameplay. At this point, we just want to be able to log it out, but still cannot.

13 days and i'm still unable to save anything on the cloud .... 13 days averytime the same message but i triend 7 Times in a row and still nothing, i'm connected to the internet but nothing changes this is si upsetting so all the progression i've made i can't save it in thé cloud to load it if i have any problem or anything....please improve the cloud!!
For what it's worth, it might pay off to try even more. I very rarely get a save in with 7 tries. If you try some 30 times you might get lucky. Yeah it stinks, but with enough tries it eventually goes through for me. My last save took about 5 hours of repeated save clicks over 3-4 days. I wouldn't count on Gameloft to pull through any time soon sadly. This has been reported to them since day 1. They have had many updates to fix this but they don't. It shouldn't even be that hard to fix. I wish you good luck and keep trying. We are all in this boat together.
I play on windows and switch I’m so deflated! I had my game not cloud save even though I saved it restarting my whole mornings work yesterday now today again it said fully synced yet I’ve just logged in and I’ve lost all my mining ⛏️ and pumpkins for today ALL of it and I’m back to how I left it this morning! When I opened DLV today on PC and selected 'Continue' it prompted me to make a new avatar or import an avatar. I was devastated. To double check the issue, I logged into DLV on Xbox and had 2 options for cloud save. 1 from today with zero hours and another that was 'local' that had a lot more content... i chose to keep the local xbox save.
All my founders pack items, moonstones and StarPath rewards were still in my account, but I had over a million gold just gone 😭

Just wanted to encourage everyone to reach out to support, especially with the cloud save problems. I submitted a form two weeks ago, I didn’t hear anything back but my game did stop having issues
I have reached out to support many times about the failing cloud saves. They keep closing the tickets without fixing them. I keep reopening them. 😎 They never engage in conversation to help. It's more or less as helpful as screaming into the void for help. The latter probably feels better.
i think the later into the star paths, the connectivity issue gets better. i’m able to use the cloud save multiple times a day now
I can't get into my account.. Only played on switch 😭 played every day since launch with no issues but a few crashes. Last night tried logging on and it brought me to character creation. looked at save in cloud and it just keeps saying it's saved whenever i last opened it even tho i immediately closed the game when it brought me to that screen.

Playstation does not support Cloud Saves yet. It is sadly a platform issue not a cloud/game issue.

update. cloud save has worked fine from Switch to Steam. graphics on pc are stunning! the best imo! makes up for ps issue. and has counter calmed me lol 🤓
only issue I'm having now is not all moonstones transferring from steam to switch- but are there when you transfer back, anyone else having this issue?

I save and cloud save everyday. The Save to Cloud always says I'm out of sync by several days. I cloud saved last night and today it says I'm out of sync by 7 days and 17 hours. This has been ongoing since I started playing.
I keep saving repeatedly until it says fully synced. I also save at regular periods during gameplay Hope this works

They don’t all transfer from platform to platform. Only the ones you get from the blue chests. Say the file you are using you bought on the switch those 8,000 (or however amount) will only be available when you play one the switch. I hope they change this but this is how I understand it’s working at the moment.

(Purchased) Moonstones are seperate, they do not transfer between platforms. Each platform has their own amount depending on which version of the game you bought on that platform.

Someone was complaining about cloud saves on Twitter and the response from the official DDV account was: be sure our team is working on improving your overall game experience” which I’m hoping means they’re working on it. Or could be a generic reply. Nothing on the trello board.
Platform: Nintendo Switch. No ability to use the Gameloft Cloud Save, none. I created an account but it has never ever worked - error each and every time. I've changed my router to channel 11. I've reset my router. I've tried when only I was on the connection. Nothing. Nada. Nope. I'm on DSL which is all that's available here, I want to switch to the Steam version since the Switch crashes if you so much as look at it funny. I'm 40 days out of sync, I try daily and it never works.
I think it's a generic reply. Normal people speak normally and say: "We are aware of that issue and we're aiming to get it fixed for this/the next release." That sounds more like an evading politician, note how it specifically avoids to address the issue in question.
Wondering why they make Playstation auto save? I messed up and wanted to reload to start over but ddlv forces a save with NO save files. It's super upsetting EVERYONE ELSE can reload or remove auto save but Playstation doesn't have that option. We actually don't have options everyone else has. Platform: Switch Issue: cloud save not working on my daughters account. She has a minor/supervised account and it is linked in game but it won’t link on the start up menu.

Can't move my cursor over to cloud save or really anything. Have to adjust volume on the main screen. Works there but not in game
I’ve been trying to save to cloud for almost 2 weeks. I’ve tried multiple times a day. I’ve restarted my switch several times.

I created a cloud account a week ago and have been getting this almost message every time. I can’t remember the other message I received.
I did sign in my cloud account with switch. It had the golden potato in my inventory which I received just hours before, but everything else was 2 or more weeks behind. The switch version had less money, smaller inventory, etc.
Now, my Xbox sees the cloud save from my switch, but I can’t save my current game on the Xbox to the cloud.
My cloud save will not work on Xbox it’s never been uploaded and I’ve tried for days it won’t upload no matter what I’ve tried I really wanted it upload so I could play on another platform But I can’t get it to save
How long did you try? It can take up to 6 hours of continous clicking on cloud save for me to save on xbox. I usually listen to an audiobook or watch YouTube on my phone while clicking the save when I need a cloud save.
so i made a cloud save on my pc then used it for my wife to play on her laptop when the switch was having loading issues for the game. i can't cloud save my game anymore so i decided to make a new cloud save account and im getting the code in my email but nothing is popping up on the screen for me to put the code in
I’ve sat there and watched shows while I tried but I’m scared mine won’t work because it’s never been uploaded was yours like that too
Mine never saves on its own. I have to click save for hours. When it finally says that it saved successfully it does work though, I have restored from a cloud save. But it is the same trouble next time I want to save. It never saves by itself to cloud, and every time I quit game I get the error that it couldn't save to cloud before quitting.
I finally got mine to save I restarted my game after trying to save and it worked but it said it was off a hour
Yes, the out of sync time always seems way off, but you are probably good. Happy you finally got your save.
Is it safe to set up a mouse and key presser?
Don't know. I have never used such a setup. I'd guess it could be non-trivial to setup since you have to click away the error popup and there is a huge time variance between failures.
If you do and get it to work please share. I'm afraid it might be a while before this is fixed.
It seems both QA and support have collapsed at this time.
I have it working, but scared I'd pick up a ban of some sort

My wife is trying to log in to the cloud save in the switch from a ps5 save file. However when we go to the ps5 it doesn’t show what email or any info. She also said she never made an account on the ps5 for it. Any tips ?
As far as I know Playstation doesn't support cross play for Dreamlight Valley.
Welp, that's over three hours of trying cloud save tonight without success. Time for bed, but first I wish a thousand plagues on the developer who wrote the cloud save code. Pox on ye. Pox on ye. 😩
More than 20 days that a could note save on cloud , New update tomorow... And After trying for more than 12 Times ( and check out i'm connected to internet and all) still not able to save ...really this is gettin bad
I update the cloud save every few days & it tells me I’ve been successful. Then it showed today that it was 27 days, 19 hours since my last sync
yeah when I try to log in on my switch I can put in my email and password and click log in but nothing happens
and since it is not auto saving if the switch crashes and I havent manually cloud saved I lose everything and have to start over

Playstation does not support the games cloud save function. Sadly a platform issue.
