Issue: Villian's Star Path
Bought the 3,300 premium but didn't receive the 100 pumpkin tokens. The pass itself is locked as if I didn't buy the premium. Only the free items can be redeemed. It didn't seem to actually to use my moonstones and it just has the buy tokens option. Also the other duties for the premium unlocked as well.

Steam:PC Not sure if this is the place to put it, but it negatively affects starpath progression, cause you need to be online. The game is constantly logging me off into online mode, back to back. And 'fails' to reconnect unless I completely close out of the game and restart. Then repeat process.

I've gotten it to finally show up doing that, though I keep losing connection. [Though that may be because of the weather where I'm at on top of everyone trying to play the update. x'D]

Oh, wow, I would have assumed that should have done the same thing too. XD Glad that's working for ya! Don't worry too much if you're losing connection, but try to keep it in check before you harvest stuff or cook meals? I THINK it still counts, but I'd hate to harvest a field, realize I wasn't connected, and then in turn, didn't get any of the harvests counted? How online works with Star Path, I'm not entirely sure on, just something to keep an eye on today with everyone clawing at the update. X'D

Well, this again. Its getting really frustrating. Couldnt complete the first Star Path because the game stole my moonstones and didnt give me the acces to premium. Now i cant buy it. The tickets i sent about the first Star Path still didnt get a response, the team didnt aknowledge the issue in any of their channels, not here, not in Twitter, not in the Trello page.

At this point i know that posting here is nothing more than a place to vent frustrations and its really sad.

It seems you can still complete duties while offline. I had one to remove 30 thorns and removed 4 while online. Lost connection and continued removing them and it counted toward the 30 when I got back online.

Problem: most moonstone disappeared, unsure when, down to like 800 and I had ultimate on switch and free gamepass. I remember I had used the 2500 for premium on switch. My switch is currently at nintendo being repaired, has been for like 3 weeks and should come home soon, so cross platform played with my Xbox ultimate account. Not sure when they disappeared 100%. I play between my laptop and desktop on the go for computers. I also can't seem to stay connected online to star path, items complete after, but one failed to complete and kicked me offline then got stuck there until I restarted the game despite showing 20/20.

it seems the event's timespan is tied to the console's date and time and not the server's date and time. This is a problem for me and many other people who have made the mistake of time traveling and now cannot play the game on the correct date. If I boot the game on the correct date, I can access the event, but I can't do the majority of the event duties because I can't harvest anything. However, when I set my console's date forward, I can harvest things, but I can't access the event.

Has anyone else lost their moonstones? I originally bought the game on switch, the ultimate edition, then on PC, regular edition. I had cloud saved on the switch and came to PC and my original 20,000 moonstones (other than buying premium for Pixar) have now reduced to 2,000 :/

Okay I figured it out people. If you log onto the console where you bought the original game it will have your original items and moonstones and you can buy the pass on there. Save then save on the cloud as well before closing the game and going back to the other console (in my case PC) now on my PC I still have 2,000 moonstones but I unlocked the star patch on my switch and so it unlocked on PC

I purchased the premium star path for the Pixar event, and purchased a small amount of the Pixar star path currency, but have not purchased anything else. My daughter uses my profile to play. My profile has psplus. She has access to the starpathes, cloud save, and the blue chest. My wife uses a different profile on the same console to play her file. The profile does not have psplus. She cannot access the starpath, blue chest, or cloud save. How do I fix this?

I was able to have a discussion with Ursula yesterday morning but have not been able to have one with her since and now the same bug is happening with mother Gothel, I was able to have 2 in one day with Merlin for a previous duty I had so I don’t know why it isn’t working now. Also I have been mining aquamarines since yesterday and have about 50 but only 1 shiny aquamarine has spawned. I have mined other gems and have several shiny emeralds/diamonds/even shiny rubys and sapphires but no shiny aquamarines have spawned since that 1 I got when the duty first appeared. Any insight would be appreciated.

I also have this issue. Prior to the update I would get like 8 shiny gems or something along the lines of that doing a whole run of the map. (In one rotation).

I've only gotten 1 Shiny Aquamarine, spent the last 2 days trying to work on it, seeing every other shiny gem possible (at a much lower rate than before) and just no shiny aquamarines since.

Very frustrating to say the least.

Just wanted to add an edit: Nowhere in the patch notes does it suggest that the shiny gem rate had been reduced or nerfed in the latest update.

In Star Path there is a task that says "cook a meal with sugar".
I tried multiple meals. I tried to carry the sugar in my inventory instead of using it from the chest. But nothing works. Still 0/20.

I'm not an expert but that likely isn't a bug, it's probably intended that way until you are able to fix the river in Sunlit. Just have to wait until you can finish the new Story Quests and go back to that task - it may fix it (could be intended that way).

My son has been unable to purchase the star paths, he missed out on the Pixar star path due to it not working and the same thing is happening for the villians star path. When trying to purchase it says 'the requested transaction could not be completed'.
It worked fine for me both times but not for him.

So the very first week of the game's release, I TT'd in ACNH for an event my team was hosting (needed the landscape to change color). The game was so new that I didn't know it would break it. When I figured out what was wrong I immediately set the date back into the future to stop the issues I was having. But now I have to keep my switch date like 2 months ahead and that means I'll never get to do the starpaths.....so I paid for a game that I will never get a lot of the content for. I'm so upset.

Issue: The starpath Quest “Catch 35 Fish From The Sunlit Plateau.” Is actually glitched. Any fish that can be found in the Plateau counts towards the quest even if one has not currently completed the Plateau river quest.

Debatable if this is a bug, but it is poor game design.
These aren't three quests.

They are identical. I work all of them as one quest. There is only one thing for me to do.

All it does is limit my ability to enjoy the game. It's a Friday off for me - I want to play some DLV. 5 paths are impossible for me to progress in. Three of them are the same progression lock.

I'm paying money to unlock more slots with premium and the game locks a bunch of slots with the same quest. 😒

In english the Quest is called "cook with corn", this means " Koche mit Mais". Someone have mistranslatet Corn with Zucker (sugar).

Since when I would try for chests they would act like I was offline (I was not) then after trying several times then they would disappear without any stones or without being opened

Those that are struggling with the Shiny Aquamarines still my game managed to fix itself.

I turned off my game for a couple hours before daily reset (midnight), then opened it up again (I'm not sure this part entirely matters).

I got one of those small events in which 10 items spawn (where you have to pick up 10 items before the time runs out), one of them was a Shiny Aquamarine (this didn't go towards the task), but after that had happened I finally was able to mine the remaining 4 (albeit it did take some time).

I hope this can help others that have been struggling with this Star Path Issue - just keep at it, your game should manage to fix itself the way mine did. Only mine in the places that you can get Aquamarine so the event doesn't trigger on other rocks.

(Been a pain lately for shiny aquamarines. Finally got one with a companion but the one companion gave me didn’t count towards the task).

Adding onto items not counting, the mushrooms I gather from the big ones that you water in meadow or glade don’t count towards the “pick mushrooms” task.
Though, I’ve heard someone say it counted for them.

Edit: apparently any mushroom picked up in the glade count. (Had an explosion event and all of em counted) I didn’t have any of the big mushrooms in my glade so I couldn’t test if they counted.

I may be wrong, but I believe the task "Cook 20 Times with Sugar" is a mistranslation and should be with Corn. The sugar task is actually 25. The volcano cooker from Scar's quest line is also a stumbling block (lots of wasted sugarcane)

I’m unable to claim all the blue chests that appear. I find 2, one being from the day before, and the other is new. After opening one chest, I go over to the second one, and the game tells me I already claimed all the rewards for today and to come back tomorrow. And that unopened chest just sits there. I’m unable to claim the rewards until the next day, and when I do the new chest doesn’t let me claim rewards from it.

You have to complete all the Event Duties. You should not need to buy any extra currency except the premium path. The event duties allow you to earn enough pumpkin currency to buy all the rewards. Click on the link & read my comments from 10/19. Only buy the 100 Pumpkins for 800 Moonstones discount when you reach pg 7 & are stuck.

I have the same issue and have not found a fix. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, turned off my VPN, etc. Some people are saying you can purchase it through a cloud save on another device, but my cloud save is also not actually syncing. I emailed support awhile ago and have not heard back.

Sometimes the blue chest doesn't appear for me and I bought this to play early, but I won't be able to afford buying more and more moonstones every month to complete the star path which is not free-to-play friendly at all.

Depends on how you are using your Moonstones. I have completed both Star Paths & have only used a few hundred Moonstones currently but since I will get 26 more daily Blue Chests before the event ends I'll be back to less than 100 Moonstones from where I started. #1021080430889406494 look at my comments after 10/19 to see the math.

If I take advantage of the discount on the 7th star path I do get a bonus 100 but that still leaves me with 60 less than what I started with and that's IF my daily chest shows up. I haven't tested to see if buying 200 tokens will net me a +200 stones with the discount which I will do next time.

Yes you only get the discount once, but if it says 1700 moonstones for 200 tokens, then it works. But at the time I didn't think of doing it. I just know I accidentally clicked backwards and it was asking if I wanted 700 tokens for some amount of stone and I remember seeing the discount thing but I don't remember how big of a discount

Read there will be a store to buy more Moonstones for irl money in the future. What I'm trying to help with is that each event should only end up costing very little of your Moonstones if you complete all the Event Duties. Then if they don't immediately start another event you can just claim the daily Blue Chests to keep earning them back. Hey everyone! Make sure you are logged into cloud save if you use it. I went to play on another computer and when logging out I discovered I hadn’t been logged into cloud save for 9 days! So I guess after the update it never logged back in. I logged in and was able to purchase star path premium. I had been saving it to cloud save and it never once said i was only playing on a local save file.

@cold isle The same thing happened to me and when I reported it, they told me that last reward is for folks who spent moonstones on event currency and want to recoup some once they have purchased all prizes. If it's not available to you, then you are done with the event.

Did you buy a bunch of star points but then did the tasks to earn the points? If so, next time don’t do that. Just buy the regular premium path (2,500 moonstones for each of the last paths). And if you don’t finish before the path ends, then buy one set of discounted points (cost 800 to get 100 villain points) and redeem for any remaining rewards on pages 1-6 and extra points can be redeemed on page 7.

If you’re at the beginning of the path with weeks to go before it ends, try doing the tasks before spending more moonstones to buy star points.

Otherwise you’ll end up using way more moonstones than you need to.

By way of reference, if you did every task for Pixar path plus bought/redeemed the discounted bundle of 100 Pixar points, that path was a net cost of 350 moonstones. For the villain the net cost is 400 moonstones using the same strategy.

Because only the first set of 100 star points are discounted, any additional points you redeem on page 7 will end up with a net loss of 10% of what you spent. (Costs 1000 moonstones to redeem for 900).

It can be confusing.

It’s important to understand that the moonstones can’t be separately purchased at this time, so your supply is limited to what you currently have, plus your daily blue chest with 10 free moonstones (if you find and open it daily).

The star points are only valid for the path they relate to. Once that path ends, any remaining star points that weren’t redeemed just disappear.

Only spend moonstones if you have to.

To get premium rewards you must spend 2500 to unlock the premium path.

Completing every task will give you the exact amount of star points you need to finish pages 1-6.

Buying extra star points (that you didn’t earn) is only necessary if you don’t have time to complete the star tasks/duties (and you really want the items you didn’t get already). Plus, as mentioned, there’s a one time (per path) discounted set of star path points that will cost you 800 moonstones but you can redeem for 900 on page 7 after you’ve completed pages 1-6, which recoups 100 more moonstones than it costs.

Since you have over 300 villain star points after finishing pages 1-6, you already bought the discounted star points plus many more. Don’t buy any more star points in this path. Redeem what you have left on page 7, keep doing more star path duties until you’ve finished them all or run out of time, and keep redeeming on page 7 to minimize your moonstone losses.

Yes, you want to claim all rewards on every page so you can unlock pg 7 & then claim that reward 10 times. You will end up earning back 2,900 Moonstones doing this 🎉 Since you bought the 3,300 premium path you don't need to buy any more currency to complete the event.

You’re fine, don’t worry. Buying the 3300 moonstone premium path that includes the 100 star points has the same result as buying the 2500 moonstone path plus buying 100 star points at the end, as long as you finish all of the star path duties.

You have plenty of time to finish all of the star path duties. Just keep at them.

You’ve spent 3300 moonstones so far. If you finish all of the star path duties and redeem them for all of the rewards, you’ll get 2000 moonstones back.

Feel free to spend your star points as you want to, keeping in mind the prizes/rewards you want and any moonstones you want to get back.

If you finish all of your star path duties then you will earn enough for all of the rewards on pages 1-6. If you’ve already used your purchased points for some of the prizes then you spend the rest of your star points on page 7.

Once you spend your last 100 points on page 7 then you’ll get back another 900 moonstones. This reduces the overall cost for the premium path to 400 points when you’re all done.

Since you already bought the path with the discounted star points, you won’t get another discount on this path.

Therefore, don’t buy more star points unless you get to the end of the star path season and never finished enough duties to get the rewards you wanted. That will end up costing more (and the net moonstone cost for the path will be more) but it will be a decision you’ll have to make. You’ll have to decide if it’s worth the moonstones.

Oh, and make sure you redeem all of you star points before the season ends. Star points disappear at the end of the season. This is different from moonstones, which stay and are used to buy the season star paths as they are released. Do not spend all of your moonstones (unless you choose to spend them, knowing you can only get more from your daily chest). Some people thought they were supposed to spend all of their moonstones. Far better to hoard moonstones. It’s the star points you need to use or lose.

I just re-read your post and saw a question I didn’t quite answer. You said you bought moonstones on pages 1 and 2. I think you mean you redeemed star points for moonstones, as there are a few places on each page where moonstones are rewards from redeeming some star points.

Redeeming star points for prizes/rewards (including moonstone rewards) is not the same thing as buying more star points using MORE moonstones. Don’t USE more moonstones to get star points.

But you should absolutely redeem star points to get more moonstones back once you’ve obtained the items you want from the star path.

Yeah, I've gotten pretty disheartened and stopped playing. There's not much to do in the game aside from the Star Path anymore and I've missed out on two. Those are items that I had enough moonstones for and will never get that everyone else early access has had access too. I was trying not to let it get to me but I paid $30 and got a handful of exclusive items while everyone else, including those who got it free on GamePass, will be getting a load of exclusive items. And they haven't addressed the issue but will address when an item from the Star Path doesn't function right. I've tried to be patient and understanding but it doesn't look like it's a priority or even acknowledged on their ends and it just disheartened me too much to continue playing.

Very new to this so apologies originally put this in the wrong thread, but this is my last resort having emailed and Tweeted multiple times to no avail. This is on behalf of my Mother. The issue is MISSING MOONSTONES on SWITCH. I only found out about 3 days into the new Star Path that her moonstones were missing as she didn't know that was a part of what she'd paid for in the basic founders pack. At time of emailing mid last week she had around 1580 Moonstones. She should have begun with 8000 minus however much the Pixar path was. I'm on around 5500 so she should at the very least have around 4000 in theory. All I know is once the update was applied she told me she could not afford the Halloween premium Star Path which is what made me realise she'd also fallen foul of what seems to be a very common problem of missing moonstones following the update.

I think I'm having an issue with duties on the star path? Earlier this evening, perhaps an hour or two ago, I finished one of my 6 duties. Usually when I finish one, it auto-spawns a new one. That didn't happen.
I tried logging out and back in, still was down one. Just finished a second duty, and it again hasn't respawned a new duty.
Unless I'm just unaware of there being only a finite number of duties offered during a reward track? But that seems unlikely.

There are a finite number of tasks in the star path. There are enough tasks/possible points from those tasks to have the exact amount to finish pages 1-6. The only way to have points to use on page 7 is to buy more star points.

Only buy one set of 100 star points (at one time to get the discount), as only the first 100 star points are at a discounted cost (800 moonstones for 100 star points instead of costing 1000 moonstones). The discount means you redeem the 100 points on page 7 to get back 900 moonstones. Thus recouping 100 moonstones.

If you bought the 2500 path you buy 100 points to take advantage of this strategy. If you bought the 3300 path you’ve already purchased the discounted star points. You can’t get the discounted price twice on one path.

I think, for the Star Path duties, they want the “mine Peridots” to count each mining action that yields a peridot, not how many you’ve collected. So even though your buddy drops an extra peridot, the action of you mining for the first one is the thing that registers.

Issue: I finished all the quests for the Star Path but I don't have enough pumpkins to get the last reward. I paid moonstones to unlock the extra tasks and rewards and have finished/redeemed all of them but don't have enough for the last 90 moonstones. I was under the impression that you didn't have to buy any pumpkins to complete this?? I didn't finish the first Star Path so idk how it compared.

Bye Bye Moonstones!

So I just finished all the Star Path quests and used the rest of my tokens to buy moonstones. I then had 0 tokens and 10,970 moonstones. I clicked the "buy tokens" button just to see what it said and it froze so I clicked a few buttons trying to get out of it and then it crashed. When I went back it showed that I had 1,090 tokens and only 70 moonstones!
Luckily I was able to buy back most of them, but am still short 1,090 because the exchange rate. Can I get them reimbursed?

Hello, my platform is steam and I lost about 10k moonstones by purchasing the star path. A little pricey... xD

In this clip you can see how around 8k moonstones were lost by buying the star path.
I lost 2,5k already a few weeks ago by buying the star path but I didn't get access to it. I tried it again yesterday since it was the last day of the star path and the support didn't answer my questions if I would be able to get the rewards afterwards when it's fixed.
So I am over 10k moonstones short and would like them back please... 🌷

So I can’t even complete the villains star path. The rest are locked due to a bug preventing me from completing the main story and unlocking Ursula, mother Gothel, scar and fishing in sunlit plateau.

These duties should be based on what is unlocked. So I basically wasted moonstones on a star path I can’t even complete because I am still stuck on the main quest (With Great Power) since the issue has yet to be fixed. The ripples just continue due to that issue.

@echo galleon unfortunately though I never had an events tab even show up in the PlayStation version but I do in the switch version. Is that events tab supposed to be viewable only when there’s an event going on or is it supposed to be there regardless?

My star path just cancelled on me and my switch was set for the 2nd of November, I was in the middle of doing quests for it and it suddenly said unavailable has anyone else had this happened??

Issue: Just downloaded and installed the update, went to buy the premium star path. It said it could not do it at first, I had 24,010 moonstones, I tried again, it took my moonstones, I have 21,510 now, but it did not unlock it at all.
