If you have unlocked pg 6 on the Pixar Fest & are stuck - The difference between the 2,500 path vs 4,100 path is the extra 100 Pixar Balls.

If you bought the 2,500 path here is what you need to do.

• Click the Buy Currencies button & find the 100 Pixar Balls for 1,600 Moonstones pack (last option). Then use the 100 Pixar Balls to buy the last reward 10 times. 175 Moonstones 10x = 1750 Moonstones. That will give you a gain of 150 Moonstones. The math equals out 2,500 + 1,600 = 4,100 so we are not paying more than if we had bought it that way from the start. Hope this helps 🤞

Pg 6 reward unlocks after you buy all the rest of the rewards on pg 1 -5. You must buy them all. You can if you do all the Event Duties as you will have just enough to unlock pg 6.

You should buy the 100 points with the discount (If you didn't get the 4100) and redeem it 10 times. Anything past that and you are spending more moonstones than you make

I feel like you are blaming the game far too much for this. Them having any sort of sell back deal is really nice of them. Still don't see how you only have 19200 or so though, math not adding up.
There is always a risk of less than optimized features when you play early access games

That's absolutely fair. There is a place to report star path issues, even without proof the math is enough and even if it doesn't help you, it might help others or overall help. The last time they had a lot of a certain issue the reimbursed all players through mail.

Just to make sure, at the end of it all, assuming you spend no more than 4100, at the end with the refunded stones, you should be short 250, correct? So it's not a free event, you ultimately spend at least 250 if you max it out?

I guess you could but the discount price on 100 Pixar Balls is only available once. After that it costs 200 Moonstone for 10 Pixar Balls so you would be losing 25 Moonstone 🚫

On the Pixar Fest Event did you use Moonstones to get the premium items? If so when you complete all the Event Duties if you unlock pg 6 but don't have a more Pixar Balls you got the 2,500 path. If you can complete the event you did the 4,100 path.

Check your Duties page, if you have unlocked the premium Star Path, the duties available to your is 6 instead of 3 for non-premium. Hope this helps

I wonder if they don't know that they used Moonstones they already had & it's not a pop-up where you have to buy something extra. To verify this have them take a screenshot of their Moonstones. You can tell by the amount shown if they used some. Other than that what a favorable glitch if it turns out they didn't.

Mine had an option under the event tab. Maybe take a screen shoot of your Event Duties. If you can only do 3 at a time you don't have premium. If it's allowing 6 duty options then you have access to premium. There should be an option on that page to get premium if I'm remembering correctly 🤞

Ok, for the 2,500 + 1,600 = 4,100. You can earn 2,000 during the event & then the 1,750 buying the 100 Pixar Balls & then getting the pg 6 reward 10x. So 4,100 - 3,750 = 350. So basically all the Pixar Event Items cost you 350 Moonstones.

This is clearly only a temporary work around being that the that discount is only for the first purchase of 100 currency tokens.

I really hope that this is resolved with the next patch and/or for future events and we can earn a proper amount of the tokens to complete the entire path.

We were given 2 choices for premium though, next event I'm sure the cheaper option won't earn as much as the higher price option. There was the 2,500 path or the 4,100 path on this event. My issue is that it wasn't explained what the difference was in detail. I unlocked pg 6 & literally no-one knew what to tell me about why it was I couldn't get the last page of rewards. I even had 2 replies from Customer Care & they didn't let me know this information. I had to figure it out myself by reading different threads to piece it together & finally it clicked. I posted it & then I had a request to make it into a guide.

Yeah, the maths doesn’t add up if you see it at first glance, why would you buy 10 Pixar ball for 200 moonstones to claim a 175 moonstones reward.

However, if you buy it 10 times, you will get a discount (one time only) and instead of paying 2000 moonstones for the 100 pixar balls, you only pay 1600 moonstones!

With this discount, you can now benefit from page 6 reward. You can claim 1750 moonstones for just 1600 moonstones meaning you will get back your 1600 moonstones investment and gain extra 150 moonstones.

I hope this makes sense.

I have everything unlocked and only need the 10 pixar tokens unlock to get the 175 moonstones. if I buy 100 pixar tokens for 1600 moonstones, then I have 90 pixar tokens left that I can't do anything with and am -1424 moonstones in debt. Unless you can buy the last unlock as many times as you want to get the 175 moonstones like @surreal mirage implies, which I don't think it says anywhere, so I'm holding off

Yeah I’m pretty sure page 6 is just a sort of “refund” or buy back for if you purchased Pixar balls but then completed all the tasks. Completing all the tasks gives you exactly enough Pixar balls to buy everything. So then if you had also purchased Pixar balls, you can get some of your moonstones back but not all

Final breakdown of my numbers:
8,750 moon stones before upgrading to the premium path

• 2,500 moonstones on the premium path
  That brought me to 6,220 moonstones
  From there I was able to claim 1,500 moonstones through premium path unlocks
  Once those were collected I had 7,720 moonstones.
  Next I purchased 100 Pixar Coins for 1,600 moonstones which brought me down to 6,120 moonstones
  Then I used those Pixar coins to spend 10 coins at a time to purchase x175 moonstones 10 times.
  This brought me to my current moonstone total of 7,870 moonstones.
  Using this glitch fix I was able to earn x150 moonstones.

Being short of pixar balls is clearly a bug. This might be a work around but if you're only gaining 150 moonstone but page 6 is meant to reward you 175 you're still losing in the long run. In every other game that has 2 season pass options (which is what the star path is) the more expensive option is a boost, it gets you a few levels ahead. It's not normally the only way to complete the event. If that's how Disney are going to run it after early access then they'll run into a lot of criticism and bad reviews.
Hopefully this bug gets fixed for next season.

The difference between the 2 is 800 Moonstones - Last pg is 7. It has x90 shown. So if it's like last event then you can buy that with your extra currency 90 x 10 = 900 so that would give you an additional 100 Moonstones.

Or you can choose 3,300 path & earn 2,900 during the event so premium rewards would cost you 400 Moonstones. You end up getting 100 more Moonstones with the higher price path. Of course you would need to finish the entire event for these #'s to be true.

That's pretry good, and with the daily blue chests you can get in the pass period the price goes down another 330 moonstones, 400 or so if you count the exchange period :)

You can also factor in that the event is 33 days long. If you log in every day & grab your Blue Chest containing 10 Moonstones you could earn 330. So in all Event Premium Items would end up costing 70 Moonstones but you have to be dedicated to remember every day.

I'm confused with this myself.. I bought the founders pack and managed to get thru the pixar event but I only had about 800 moonstones going into the villian event. There is no way i'm going to be able to unlock the premier pack, and I know my mailbox says I did get them.

Do you use cross play? If you load your save on the original platform you bought the game on your 8K Moonstones should be there. Well it will be a little less if you played the Pixar Fest & completed it. You could earn 3,750 back last event so you would be down 350 Moonstones. But I mean if you are getting the daily Blue Chests you should still have around the 8K.

Updated info for the villain path.

The tasks will allow you to complete pages 1-6. If you don’t have time to finish the tasks you can use the purchased points to redeem some of the rewards on pages 1-6. Page 7 is for any points you bought but didn’t need to finish pages 1-6, so you can recoup some of your moonstones.

You can buy one set of 100 villain points at a discount (costs 800 moonstones instead of 1000 to get 100 villain points) to gain back an additional 100 moonstones.

You can redeem the 100 points for 900 moonstones on page 7 (only up to 10 times), which gets you back 100 more moonstones than it cost you. This only works once (because of the discount), then it ends up costing you more than you get back.

Villain points are worthless after the star path is gone I believe. I think anyone who made the mistake of converting more moonstones into pixar points just lost the moonstones and the points. So it’s a waste to spend more moonstones. Hoard the moonstones.

To maximize your return on investment and minimize the overall moonstone cost, the most you should spend on the villain path is 2500 moonstones for the premium path and an additional 800 for the page 7 rewards. Do all of the tasks and you will recoup almost everything you spent. I finished the path and think the net cost was around 300-400 moonstones.

I'm not sure how you spent so much Moonstones then. You said you completed it so if you did all the tasks you should have earned 3,750 back. That means you should have only been down 350 Moonstones. However, if you have been collecting the daily Blue Chests that contain 10 Moonstones that would have put you back close to your 8K. I actually ended the event with a few more Moonstones then I started with because I was opening that chest daily. The only way you spent all your Moonstones would have been if you were buying the Premium Items instead of doing the event tasks to earn the event currency 😢

I also think the game needs to improve the explanation of how it works because I’ve seen several people who spent all their moonstones because they inexplicably thought they should redeem them all for points, and then I guess didn’t change them back into moonstones.

The instructions on the star path in game don’t really explain well enough for people who have zero experience with battle passes, and the demographic for this game is very different from the average gamer.

That method was from Pixar Fest. What you need to look for is 100 Pumpkins for 800 Moonstones option (should be all the way to the right). Then use those to by the last reward 10 times. 90 x 10 = 900 👍

Assuming it’s the same as Pixar path - No. You either get the discount up front by purchasing the 3,300 path that come with 100 star path points, or you can buy 100 points later at a cost of 800 moonstones if you bought the 2,500 moonstones path. You only get the discount once.

It doesn’t matter which version of the premium path you buy (unless you don’t finish all the tasks, but there are too many variables to calculate net cost for the path).

Just had confirmation from Gameloft regarding any uncertainty around the final page of the Pass, it's intended for you to use any remaining tokens (pass currency) so that you get Moonstones back from it after you've purchased everything.

Oh, I did the math above & you don't quite get back even if that's what you mean. i couldn't remember which one i picked so i ended up buying the pumpkins but i didnt read anything about having to buy everything from the previous pages. my largest issues is that each page specifically told you in game what you had to do , purchase 3 items from the previous to page then you get to the last locked page and it tells you nothing at all , its just locked and you have to go ok why , i had started to buy everything from previous pages to see if that was why it was locked but wanted to confirm it before wasting the pumpkins. that last page shouldnt be this confusing when 6 pages before it was not

I highly agree with you! Many of the continuous issues in this game would be solved with better instructions. I know in settings there is a guide to some things, but the Star Path itself needs a good clear directions page that thoroughly explains that “if you buy premium path one, complete all tasks, that you will earn enough to complete all but the bonus page. If you buy the premium twi and complete all tasks, you will earn enough to purchase all items and buy the bonus page 10x.” We also need clearer directions on time traveling IN THE GAME, in fact a time check and warning on the opening loading screen would be perfect. Can you even imagine what this group is going to be like after the game goes f2p?! I’m exhausted thinking about it.

There are two options when you unlock Premium, a lower and a higher cost option. The higher cost option comes with the bonus of having Currency (In this case pumpkins) already available to spend right from the start, before you complete any duties. You can still get everything the same on both premium paths, and on the final page, in the instance of the Villain's Star Path, Page 7, You have the option to purchase more pumpkin tokens with moonstones. Normally this wouldn't work out in your favor, however you get a discount on the first 100 you buy ( at least on the lower tier path, I haven't tested the higher tier path personally)

Star Path Math for Festive Event that I just did so I'm posting it here for y'all - Pg 1 - 6 you can earn - 100, 150, 150, 400, 400, 710 = 1910. Then if you do last pg 900 more = 2810. Cost would be 3,300 - 2,810 = 490 Moonstones, however we have 51 days to complete the path so it seems like we will be back to even & a little again if we make sure to get the daily Blue Chest because that would earn us 510 Moonstones 🎉

If you do premium without page 7 it costs 2,500. If you complete the path you will earn 1,910 moonstones. So the total loss is 590 moonstones. If you do the path with access to page 7 and the extra 100 mickey tokens, it will cost 3,300 and if you complete all 7 pages you will earn 2,810 moonstones. The total loss being 490 moonstones. By selecting the option for page 7 access you will save yourself 100 moonstones. *Reminder, this is only if you complete every single page.

I think it can be advantageous to do the 3300 personally. I don’t use the extra 100 tokens until the very end, where I get to trade them back for moonstones. My personal opinion is that it’s worth it for me because by the end of it all I only lose a total of 490 moonstones instead of 590. Like HeathersNerdyWorld explained above. It’s not just for being lazy. 🙂 Anyone can do it and it’s totally up to themselves whether they do or not. It doesn’t mean they are lazy.

I just bought the 3300 path for the first time today (in a rush to grind cause Nintendo is messing about my controllers)
I did the maths myself and started panicking thinking I effed up and just lost lots of moonstones but this cleared it up for me! Thanks:))

depending on which tier of the path you purchased you would either have 10 tokens left to claim the final page once or 100 to claim it 10 times.

there's two premium; a 2500 and a 3300 that comes with the extra 100 tokens. If you can't remember when you go to purchase tokens if you don't have a discount for 100 then you bought the higher one.

Yup! you can purchase the discounted pack of 100 tokens for the gain of 100 moonstones (spend 800 and get 900 back after converting the tokens) but you're not required

There is no "Extra" anything. You can pay the higher price and start off with extra tickets, but when you buy moonstones at the end it all equals out. The only thing the extra tickets do is give you a head start on the items or allow you to skip some of the quests (but if you skip, you won't get the full benefit and will lose more mooonstones)

You do not get extra moonstones, it's the same regardless of path. You can just buy the last page repeatedly. However, since you paid a higher price to start, it equals out.

If you go with the 3,300 path you will get back 2,810 moonstones (difference of 490). If you do the 2,500 path you get back 1,910 (difference of 590). So yes, you essentially "get back" an extra 100 moonstones.
