Platform: PC / Steam - Issue: Ever since the update I cant go mining with the characters anymore - well I can, but whenever they go to the stone to give me an extra piece, they glitch back and forth really quickly and dont do anything anymore. I cant shove them away, I can only cancel hanging out with them so they move on without me... I have experienced this with multiple characters..

Ever since the update all my mining companions glitch on this one mining spot in glade of trust. They stay stuck there until I mine somewhere else or quick travel to a well. This is on switch

Platform: PC
Issue: This specific mining node keeps glitching out my mining buddies every single time. So far Moana, Anna and Minnie all get stuck trying to spawn the extra items. They walk up to it and start flickering back and forth. (Mining another node seems to get them unstuck each time, so it's not game breaking)

EDIT: I just saw this node was already reported, but I'll leave this up as it might help seeing the node location on the map 🙂

PC Steam

Not sure I can call this a bug or glitched RNG. I've been looking for a shiny Topaz (Plaza) now for about 2 hours. In this time I've not had a single shiny variant of a gem and about 60 red gems (Garnets) in a row. I wish I was joking but have you accidentally turned off shiny gems, and any other variant by any chance?

Platform: PC Steam Issue: Will only drop shiny garnet, not normal garnet which I need for a quest. Also the mining nodes take hours to respawn and I haven't seen aquamarine or emerald at all in their specific locations.

Issue: When I have Eric accompany me to go mining (since I gave him the mining trait), sometimes he gets stuck trying to throw an item at one of the mining nodes. If you are going down the main stairs to the meadow, it's the one all the way to the right, behind Merlin's house. Now, I have an issue with every mining character glitching occasionally when they go to throw an extra mineral or gem; they kind of just vibrate against the wall and seem stuck there, but if you push them around a little bit they get unstuck. The node where Eric keeps getting stuck doesn't allow you to push him around, so to fix it you have to tell him you don't want to hang out any more, make sure he gets a very safe distance away from that node, and then tell him you want to hang out again, and then he will finally toss the mineral/gem he was stuck on previously.
Video/Picture: I don't have any video or images of this happening, but it's as if they are stuck on the wall and are trying to continuously pick up an item to throw but they can't quite do it

There's a mining rock right next to the crystal cave. A gem happened to land right by the entrance to the mystical cave so i can't pick it up because it makes me enter the cave instead
Update: I managed to get it but maybe don't have the mined items fly so far/close to entrances to other places. Same would go for Elsa's cave.

So I started the freeing gothel mission while also doing merlins “dig up night shards around the valley” mission, I used those shards to lift the curse instead of using them to make a purified night shard and now I can’t collect more to do the purified night shard mission

So I'm trying to mine Topaz gems and I've been playing the game for a few days. (I'm not changing the time, or jumping ahead. I'm legit all day for a couple hours throughout my day checking in on my game), and I cannot find any Topaz gems. I checked to see where else they would be located, and they are only located in the Plaza, so for a couple around now I've ran around in circles trying to mine some Topaz and I cannot get ANY to spawn. I'm getting Garnet Gems to spawn in the Plaza, but no Topaz. I'm out of options of what to do next. Any and all help super appreciated. Thank you!

Platform: PC/Steam I was with a mining companion and I don´t realized, that he has something for me, now It stucks there and I can´t reach it, when I want to go to pick it up, I go into the cave.

when mining with any companion they get stuck... the only fix i can do so far is gently push the character then talk to them and they should pick the item up...if not try again but Erinkaboom's video shows perfectly what is happening

Issue: The Dreamlight Duty for mining states that we should "Mine 2 Minerals" when it really means that we should "Mine 2 Gems". Minerals are not referred to anywhere else in the game, and technically, stone and iron are minerals. What really counts for the duty is getting a gem.

I mined a rock in Anna's Realm and it gave me a chest with a clothing gift inside, however when it flew out of the chest onto the ground, it went in between some rocks and i cant get to it 😦

@subtle pecanEmeralds are found by pickaxing the mining spots in Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor. It is RNG. Take a friend/buddy with mining skills to help double up on the rewards.

Issue: mining items in else's realm are often landing outside of accessible areas. Even something out of a chest landed glitched into a non-mineable rock.

Area: Glade of Trust, back half
Issue: I have Kristoff set as my mining companion and he always get's stuck mid-pickup animation in the rock spire along the back wall of the back half of Glade of Trust. I have to leave the area or mine a different spire for him to get unstuck. (screenshot doesn't show it, but he flickers back and forth because he's stuck in the middle of his bending over animation) This seems to be the only rock spire he gets stuck on, and I haven't tried with any other mining companion.

Issue: Most mining nodes do not show up and cannot be mined. Issue only occurs when I am playing on my Switch. I sync my game with Steam on my PC and have no issues when playing on PC.

Issue: Merlin got stuck in this spot in Meadow while mining. It’s behind where Merlin’s house is originally.
Edit: I got him unstuck after pushing him around a bit.

Issue: mining stone behind Merlin’s house, any character accompanying you for their mining bonuses, who walks up to the stone to gift you with a duplicate resource , starts glitching. You have to push them away from the stone to get them back to normal and gift you the duplicate resource

Issue: Sometimes when Elsa is your mining buddy she'll get stuck and just kinda twitch/shake when she goes to pick up an extra drop for you. Going into a building and exiting fixes it and she then fetches the item. Haven't seen ut happen with Merlin or Scrooge so far it's only been Elsa.

Issue: Whenever a mining node spawns the timed collection to win a chest, the timer runs out and the collectable items disappear but the timer music continues to play for an additional 5 seconds or so. It is impossible to completely gather the items before they disappear but would be possible if they persisted as long as the music plays.

Issue: I have only Aquamarine dropping in the Forest of Valor. Before today, it was always emerald, and I've been mining my valley for about an hour now and I havent seen a single emerald.

Issue: buddy miners are glitching when going to the rock to pickup extra loot. Has occurred with Elsa & Wall-E. Highly evident in the Glade of Trust.
Workaround: move to another area and mine. The buddy will catchup with you later and give you the loot.

Issue: when Mining in Sunlit Plateau, there's a rock by the top right corner of the river. When it explodes with items, over half arc into the river itself and I lose out on the gold and the possibility of a chest...not that I can ever be fast enough to collect a Mining chest

Seriously an issue with the drop rates of iron ore. Just for 3 quests alone I need about 200 ore to make the not 40 ingots and I’ve been grinding (with a mining buddy) for over a week and have like 54 and I’ve done nothing else with my iron. The drop rates are trash for me. (Xbox/Switch)

I would really question the probability rng here - this is representative of one round across the entire valley with a lvl 10 mining buddy, yes, but it doesn't seem reasonable to expect to get nearly as many gems/crystals as i would a basic crafting material like stone, or as little iron as a precious metal like gold. the logic is strange!

Issue: This is not mining only, but i couldnt find a specific area for this. Sometimes you get a bunch of items poping out of mining, fishing, harvesting and a countdown song starts, so you have to collect everything before the time runs out, but it only works with coins, any other object the pops out will vanish too soon and the song will continue to play.

Issue: This miningnode completely broke Scrooge; normally when this happens they just stand there looking at the node bobbing back and forth, and just mining the next node or a teleport usually unfreezes them again and they spit out the loot they were going to get from the node they got stuck on, but this time the next node didn't work so I tried teleporting but then he just got stuck on the well.. It's the node im standing on that bugged him out

This mining spot in the swamp causes npcs to get stuck and start glitching. They usually stay stuck until you zone (xbox ss)

Nintendo Switch: Any "mining+" character glitches (flickers) when I mine this spot and they go to get the + minerals. Every single time.

Issue: Had minnie helping me mine today and this gem spawned over past the column in the dazzle beach. I cannot pick up the gem because I am teleported into the cave there.

Platform: PC. / Glitch where a mining buddy gets stuck while spawning an extra drop. The only known way I can fix this is if I mine another spot in-game that gets another extra drop from my buddy (simply mining a rock spot that doesn't drop an extra item does not work)

When a character gets stuck giving an extra gem while mining, I teleport to the closest well and that seems to get them unstuck. Usually happens in the Glade of Trust

When using Mother Grothol as a mining buddy she continously gets stuck at the rocks and does not move, just flashes and acts like she's trying to pick something up. If I walk away she will stay stuck in that spot until I enter a house or I can use my avatar to push her away from the rock and she will resume her normal self. Other characters do this, but she is the worst at it.

Issue: A lot of my mining buddies are getting stuck on mining points. This one in the Glade is definitely the worst one, but I've seen it happen on other nodes, too. They don't unglitch until I get to a mining node that they will give me an extra item on. In other words, if they don't proc on my next node to duplicate what I mined, they will be stuck here until I get to a node they will proc on.

Mining rocks have stopped spawning all places in the game I have unlocked. I load into the game and there’s none to mine. My mining buddies also always get stuck in one particular mining spot the far left corner of the meadow. They get stuck other places too but that one in particular happens every single time.

Issue: this is already the 5th node Scrooge got stuck on since I started mining just now, seems to have gotten worse since the update. It used to be like 2 or 3 spots in the entire map, now it seems to be almost every other node
