Issue: Lost several hours of gameplay due to cross progression error.

Platform : Microsoft Store for PC but presumably all platform with achievements/trophies.
Issue : Achievements doesn't update with cloud save. This is not ideal but it can presumably still be obtained for repeatable task but for unique or limited task if we do the required task on another platform ( Switch for me ) we can't obtain the achievements anymore.
Maybe an achievement check using data from Dreamlight task after each cloud save download ?

Cloud Save has placed held by lvl 1 character with unique User ID and all Founder's and Bonuses available
Local Save at lvl 40 is missing Ultimate Pack and Week 1 Bonus that also has a unique User ID
Would request replacing Cloud Save place-holder with Local Save, and local save User ID changed to match account with Founder's Packs
Platform: Nintendo Switch (though we started on Steam and have since obtained a refund)
Issue :My wife bought the game and progressed enough to create a cloud save account on Steam and obtained the founders pack (standard) bonuses, though we had to get a refund due to the controls causing motion sickness. We purchased on Switch and it's going great, though we're having issues getting the cloud save to work and as a result we're missing the founders pack bonuses. When we try to log in it states "you're already logged in as D########" stating the ID number. Are there any known issues with this, or did we do something wrong?

I will also submit a support ticket, simply to address the issue from multiple points.

Issues: Server/Account Connection
Does anybody know a fix for not being able to connect to the servers at all, whatsoever?
- I havent been able to connect to the servers for exactly a week now.
- I can’t open blue chests
- I can’t track or claim star path quests
- I can’t save to the cloud
I have never time travelled, dont want to cause im too scared.
My crops and everything are still growing fine.
Almost everything is going fine with the game except for anything I need to do whilst connected to the servers.

I noticed this issue as well, even on just the Playstation platforms. I typically play on PS5, but sometimes I load up the PS4 instead because a roommate is using the PS5. I got a trophy playing on PS4 and when I viewed it I noticed none of the other trophies were completed. The PS4 and PS5 versions have separate trophies and they don't automatically complete on the other version. Now I have to either lock myself out of the Platinum trophy or lose the PS4 progress by reloading the local PS5 save while offline to prevent updating from the cloud to recomplete the trophy task.
Platform Xbox and switch. Achievements not tracking over platforms. I have got the duty for 50 photographs some taken on the switch and not got the Xbox achievements. I have also one biome left to unlock and and tracker progress says 50 percent on the Xbox

Issue: Lost approx 15hours of gameplay, about 4 characters and 2 areas I had unlocked are gone and I was over level 30. Now shows me at only level 23. I regularly cloud save etc. Last time I played was about 5-6 days ago. Logged in today and has a very old cloud save.

Issue: I played the vaiana/moana quest and I am at the last thing to do but as soon as I start the game the camera of the phone starts. I can take a picture (y) but then Before or after it I can’t move or do anything. It’s not frozen, I can open the bag fe. But I can’t move or do anything. platform: switch issue: my switch had been set to like way forward in october bc i used to time travel in animal crossing. after i had already started i set the time back to normal and my entire game was stuffed, couldn’t harvest crops or do anything. so was forced to start a new one and now have lost the dream shards that were gifted to me as a welcome in my mailbox initially bc the cloud save never worked for me to begin with

Issue: unable to connect online. So unable to open blue chests, import character design, take part in events etc. This has been an issue for me since launch day. Connection is fine according to switch and I have no problem playing online in other games or connect to the Nintendo shop.

Issue: I played on the switch first, but since it crashed all the time I used the cloud and logged on a PC instead on steam. I then lost thousands of moonstones (i think it was 8000, the ones u got when u bought the game).
My game won’t connect to Pixar Fest / Online Mode at all. I really don’t want to miss the rewards. Any fix? I’ve rebooted the game multiple times and have had no luck at all connecting to Online.

I just lost all of my games progress. I unlocked all of the realms and had almost every character available. I upgraded everything and I only had a couple things to do other than farming and getting everyone max level friendship. Now I'm stuck here and it won't let me progress unless I start new.

Problem: I have a stable internet connection but it won't allow me to upload to cloud, open blue chests and the whole Star Path missing (it tells me no evnt is active).
I have tried rebooting the game/switch, but nothing works.

Same. My wife has a save under my user profile (her original), then she created another game to progress under her own user profile last night. She logged on a bit earlier ago and when she clicked continue, it brought her to the create a character screen. 😤

Issue: My lovely daughter tried to 'help' me and in doing so exhausted each and every one of my moonstones to buy Star Path points (in spite of the fact that this has left me with over 500 useless star path points). Trying to see if there is any sort of recovery or if I could at least get the remaining star path points reverted to moonstones? Gameloft Support also provides an error message of "Could not submit the form. Please try again later."
Have you got the switch time connected to the Internet? (A prewarning before you do - you'll experience the time travel bugs if you change it)

Issue: I started over and didn’t get the 25 dream shards like my last save.
That worked, but now I do experience the bug you mentioned. Is there a way to fix it? I did not time traveled, my clock was just not synced

Issue: cannot connect to the could.. so I have no event, cannot open blue chests etc. I have this issue since launch day as well.
if you claim everything in the star path, the last page unlocks and you can claim moonstones from there. you may still have a loss at the end but if support doesnt help you with it you can get back some of the moonstones that way at least

Issue: My player name doesn't register on any save I make, so everyone calls me "Player Name" in-game. I've tried starting fresh saves with and without cloud save enabled, editing save files manually and importing a named avatar after time sync enables. In all cases I'm always "Player Name", before and after all attempted remedies. My save file has no value in the PlayerName field and if I try to fill it out myself it goes back to blank the moment I load my save. I've filed a ticket to support as well, this is just to show other players who search around to see if others are having the same issue. Could be a Cloud Save issue but I have no way of finding out for sure. I enabled cloud save before I started my first game but after I created my avatar using the avatar creation tool (before I bought the game, so I guess before I was even able to enable cloud saves).

Issue: Gifting Bundle game and DLC only sends DLC to person yet charges you for both.
I am aware that this is a STEAM specific issue and I sent a request over to STEAM customer support but felt that it was important for the community to know. Bought the Game and the Deluxe edition for my friends birthday, was charged the full amount for both, Steam only gifts the DLC and not the game. Trying to get this resolved before the sale ends

Platform Switch: Had the update since the day it released, due to my own screw up and whatever else happened I had to create a new account as well as restarting... I haven't gotten my Deluxe rewards since... sent a ticket in and the only response I got was "the update should have fixed this", but it didn't. It's not going to stop me from playing, but it would be nice to have the rewards I paid for 😊

Photo/Video none. I maxed my friendship with minnie to 10 and even completed her final request and still never received her final reward of the minnie dress. I have saved and restarted and it still is not in my inventory.

Issue: Can't give character custom name. Started game 4 times. No matter the name I choose, game will only call me Player Name. Cloud save enabled. Have 80 hours now on my save and would suck to start all over again. But it also suck to be called Player name for 80 hours XD. Feels way less personal. My BF have the same issue. He is also on steam. My son did not have this issue. He plays through Xbox gamepass on PC. Would be nice to change name during an already active save

Issue: Pixar Event Premium Unlock
I used 2,500 moonstones to unlock the premium level of the event but now it is saying I have to unlock it again. I even have one of the premium items in my house already which shows that I already unlocked it.
So thankfully have found out that she hadn't bought a single object - turns out you can return 10 Pixar Points for 175 Moonstones. It's still a loss, but it's definitely up from where I was! phew

Issue: Boyfriend started playing on my xbox account, ended up liking the game and bought it himself on steam, he uploaded his game files to cloud on my xbox account and tried downloading them on steam, which worked out, he is now able to play his game files on his steam account. When i log into the game he get kicked out for session check, if i am ingame first i get kicked out. We saw that we still share the same user ID which may cause the problem.

Issue: I can only play the game with the account that bought the game. When I try to play the game with my kids account, on the same switch, it doesn't let me and says I have to purchase the game throught that account too. I thought it was said that you will be able to play on different account and only don't get the founders stuff on other accounts.

Issue: Lost all of my progress. Launched the game, hit continue, and it brought me to the character creation screen. Not sure if the cloud save got corrupted/deleted, but it’s very disheartening. Already submitted a ticket, but figured I’d say something here as well.
This happened to me too, my husband had to do something to get my game back. He had to reboot my entire PlayStation. I can ask him what he did, but It was able to get my save file back. I got the corruption notification and got brought back to the creation screen too. Might be a shot?
Reboot like a hard reset? Or just restarting it? :o

Having the same problem too. A friend had the same problem already 2 days ago and didn’t get any help from support yet.
I just asked him how he was able to recover it, I’ll let you know what he says! He might have hard reset it tbh, but I’m honestly not too sure. I was in full panic mode when he did it lol so I wasn’t paying full attention to what he did lol I’m so sorry. But I’ll absolutely let you know what he says when he reply’s

Issue: Have been playing since the second day of release, tried to play last night and when I click continue it takes me to the create a character screen. I’ve tried redownloading the game and attempted to log out of the cloud save in hopes logging back in would fix the issue but I can’t log out as I get a cloud save recovery error. I travelled across time zones the day before and I’m not sure if that could have led to the issue or something else entirely. I’ve contacted support as well but really want to get back to playing my game so thought I’d add this here as well.

I played between PC and Xbox and my save would not load. I have since had to restart the game, I'm not upset with that I can live with restarting although my Battle Pass completely reset, and I no longer recieved the Choco Crocodile.

Issue: When I created my character in the game. I chose a name and started. But when I first spoke to Merlin I was Player Name and I'm stuck as "Player Name"
Quite annoying though it does not seem to be fixeable at this point in the game.

Went to play on switch after a few days of playing on Xbox I went to play on Switch after the update and the cloud save would not load, now it seems my save from the Xbox was lost and I've gone from level 29 to 18. This happened several days ago and I've emailed support but haven't heard back

After the update I lost ALL my moon coins! I purchased the Ultimate edition so I have 20k+ from my time playing.
Saving them up for a rainy day… for them to be all gone. Really discouraging to continue playing now
I’m not sure if I should post this here or somewhere else but I just switched to my switch from Xbox. And well one cloud save said 8k moonstone and the other 2k of course I clicked on the 8k save and when I went to play I checked and it says I only have 2k. Where do I make a claim or does anyone know how to get my old save back? I haven’t checked my Xbox to see how much I have but I’m guessing it will be 2k 😩

Issue: recently moved from USA to Australia and my game will no longer sync to real time - Australia time - it is still synced to USA time. I have changed the time zone on my Xbox and on Microsoft account but it still shows nighttime when it’s (real time) morning. I’m not trying to time travel, just trying to play in real time. I’m tired of it always being nighttime.

Please build in a fail safe to prevent people from starting a new game by mistake.
The new game button should be in a separate place and you should have to confirm you want to replace your old game before it actually erases. Right now it’s way too easy to delete your game file by accident.

I had to force close my game a few days ago due to a computer issue and I haven't been able to play it since. 🥲 Also when I hit customer care all it does is close out the game. If I have to start over I will but I made a lot of progress since I've played since about day 2 I believe.

Hmmmm when you start the game on Switch are you able to select Cloud Save in the menu? IIRC it should prompt you to enter in the email & password you created for your Gameloft account
The popup.show the number on the last platform that sync with cloud save not the total : 8.000 for the one with.the standard , 20.000.for the one with the ultimate so no issue here..Paid Moon stone aren't transferrable so they stay on their home platforms always take the latest save no matter what this counter said.

I got the ultimate pack in my brothers account what do I need to do in order to get it on mine

yes! i was able to do that and once i restarted the Continue option was there
but sadly i havent actually been able to continue from my PC progress
You can’t get the rewards if your brother bought the game on his profile. You’ll have to buy it using your account if you want the deluxe or ultimate founders rewards and moonstones.
However, if you just want to play the game without the founders rewards, consoles allow game sharing with other profiles on the primary device of the purchasing profile. Only the purchaser gets the rewards. There may also be family sharing using steam but I don’t know any details.

Issue: Got my wife the game on Steam initially, and she absolutely loves the game and spends a ton of time playing, but the only PC we own is my work PC. I then got the Nintendo Switch version so she could play while I need to use the PC. The cloud save worked well carrying over most of the progress except her moonstones, she originally had about 17000 left on PC, but on Switch, there's only 70 moonstones left. I've also seen people saying achievement not syncing properly in this thread, but I have not looked into it, she is currently playing.

Issue: I set my name to my real name, but the NPC's keep calling me "Player Name". Is it a bug?
For those experience cross progression issues. Lets say you were playing on ps4, then open up later on ps5 to know your data is gone. If you open on ps4 again without saving, is the progress back or still gone?
The game is just deleting my saves I’m not even using cross progression this is ridiculous I grinded All day yesterday and when I start it up today it’s again trying to make me create a character wth

Issue (updated): We were able to get the cloud sync to work (though we did not receive any email from the support ticket), and the majority of the Founders Pack (Standard) Bonuses are present.
The only issue currently is that the 8,000 Moonstones are still not showing in her currencies even though they show in the Founders Pack items in her in-game mailbox by her home. They also showed in the "cloud save" when we selected that data to use. Does anyone have any suggestions? If not, we'll submit another ticket though with no response from the first one I'm concerned this will go by the wayside as well.
Platform: Steam Issue: I don’t know if I started a new game, but I’ve lost 52 hours of gameplay, I’ve found where the local save files are supposed to be, but I can’t find any instructions on where to go from there. When I click cloud save and login it just starts me on a new game… do I really have to start all over?
This has happend to me and lost everything. No way to get it back. I was pretty far, like only had 1 caracter to get, and 1 caracter to get to level 10. i was pretty sad when it happend. there should be a option aswell, to get you're old proces back.
What do you do for big leg syndrome?

Issue: 15 event points gone
I already reported this on the website, but thought I would do it here too as now I'm unable to complete the sixth page of the events.
2 weeks ago I completed a duty of the 'Event' tab and earned 15 points. Problem was I was unable to use them. Trying to buy something gave me an error 'Not enough currency'. After earning an additional 20 points, my total went from 15 to 20 and not 35. Not a big deal but now I'm unable to earn the last event item, the 175 moonstones. There are no more duties left, I did them all and I'm missing 10 points for the last one.
I've been dealing with this with my cloud saves when I go from PC to Switch. PC is showing I have like 800 moonstone, and Switch is showing over 26k. I've gotten some moonstone from chests while on PC and am wondering if it will go away if I play on the switch again...
I am having this exact same issue. My Moonstones from my Founders Pack are not in my character's wallet, it only shows 640 of them but not the 8k I was supposed to have received in my Founders Pack. I have also submitted multiple support tickets and never received any response.

Successfully accessing cloud save data from PC to Switch.
However there is discrepancy between quantity of moonstones that show depending on where I load the game. (This is separate from the missing 20,000 moonstones from Ultimate Founder's Pack.)

Anyone else have trouble playing offline? If I’m playing and leave the house it goes into offline mode, but if I close it out and try to play it says I can’t play offline.
Can you buy the Pixar currency and then buy the moonstones in the last tab?
Yeah I worked out that I could thankfully. It was still about 2500 lost but at least have the majority.

I logged in to play had a weird floating sword looking glitch by my house, so I closed the game and restarted it when I logged back on. I went back to level 37 and lost a lot of progress I had made. I was at 40. Had all characters at 10 except Eric I hadn't unlocked him yet.
That sounds pretty severe, I'd file a ticket with support so they can fix it

Switch/Xbox gamepass version. I cannot log out on the xbox PC version, I get an error that says "Cloud Save Recovery Error" and then Failed to recover last saved game. Do you want to try again?
I also try to log in on my switch version, and when I log in it says "Already logged in to [my user id number but not my username]. It then does not let me access the cloud save with the progress I made on the Gamepass version.
Platform: PS4/PS5 So I recently upgraded to a PS5 and my Star Path for the Pixarfest event won't update (I paid moonstone for the expanded path). Its getting down to the last few days and I'm getting worried I won't be able to claim everything in time with this issue so I'm hoping it can be resolved sooner rather than later

Issue: entire save is gone. Set up cloud save and it said it was successfully connected but now it says i dont have an account at all. I only play on my laptop and it doesn’t show me having any kind of save at all. I was pretty far into the game and i have lost all motivation to even start over.
Platform: PS5 Issue: When logging back in and pressing continue, was taken to Avatar Creator screen,. Played since week one, Hours upon hours of gameplay gone, absolutely devastated. Have contacted Gameloft with hope my save is still saved somewhere, and haven't started a new game just in case.

Issue: can’t connect to cloud save. Says it’s out of sync and when I try to connect I get an error. Never had issues before today. I completed the star path quests today but I can’t connect to claim the final item. I tried logging in on pc game pass but the old save comes up that I’ve progressed past.

No reply, I actually just restarted. I heard it could take 2 weeks or more to hear back 😭 I want to be ready for the update.
At least the star path was still complete when I did, and week one bonus and moon coins all correct.

i had 70k dreamlight banked and have been doing nothing but stacking mats for weeks for the upcoming update, since i basically finished the game. idk if realistically i have the mental fortitude to start over if the customer support is like this. i don’t know if the cloud save issue is effecting me so i am trying to hold out for that to be resolved at least but it is devastating to see that they aren’t getting back to their customers in a reasonable time frame.
I completely agree, I had done the same. Over 200k dreamlight and so many mats. Nearly 8million in gold coins too.
But the sad thing is I can see the potential in the game and really want to see where it goes.
I had a week off work so managed to plough through everything for the first time, but now I get a couple hours a day, it is painful. I would be ok with a refund of dreamlight as it was over 1000 duties to get there, plus all the rest.
i mean that would be a good place to start but losing hundreds of hours through no fault of our own? with no customer support? getting the chars to 10 is easy enough but I don’t want to do the quests again, some of them are very poorly designed (i’m looking at you minnie- i had to do that quest 2x because i made it from mats in my chest instead of my inventory lol i’m not doing it 3x)… money isn’t the worst to get but i don’t want to grind through million dollar per floor upgrades on my house again? losing the time spent collecting and decorating bad enough…. doing the story with all the bugs and grindy stuff required wasn’t really super fun the first time. the fun was finally having the resources to mess around and not just gather 30 iron ingots 2x a day for every quest
I think what sticks with me is that even doing it all again, what's to stop me from losing it all when the game decides to break again losing my save. That is my biggest fear the second time.
Playing it all a second time with lessons learned though is a bit better to be fair. I just hate that I lost all that time and progress. I am playing the game alongside family and they are all now miles ahead of me. This really does suck. I just wish they would respond to all the people this has affected
yes i agree 100%, that this could happen again at any point- and that if it did we may or may not hear from support team WEEKS after is absolutely the worst part. I would be crushed at so much time lost regardless, but just being ignored by game support when it does is on another level

issue : I lost my progress twice in two weeks, i sent a ticket in support (french) but no answer since two weeks. Please put the update, all of the players who have this problem can't play the game until it's settled.
It took like 3 weeks for them to respond to my ticket. All they said was they know about the issue and are working on it. No solution.

Issue: Hello! I had 32 hours of game times deleted. I’m not mad about that, I’m just that because I almost had everything from the battle pass and now I don’t even have my founder’s pack ultimate. I don’t have my first week pet also.
I just hope that you will do something for the people who lost everything in the game and couldn’t get everything back.

Issue: Lost several thousand moonstones. Cross progression worked initially. After two days of playing offline with a local save, I got online and updated my cloud save and moonstones that were previously in my profile had disappeared. I am concerned that my previous cloud save is overwritten and they are lost for good. Had 19,560 and now showing only 2,250. Edit to add - I went back to my pc save and my balance was correct. It would be helpful to add some documentation to cross progression that some items, like moonstones, are platform specific and will not reflect a total balance.

Issues cloud save didn’t save all progress in Xbox and lost my moonstones when moved to switch. Now I have 2 progress on my switch local and cloud. Also Maui is stuck and I can’t progress with him after he upgraded my axe

I’ve had this same issue for weeks, I reported it and was told a lot of people are having this issue
Funny thing is; over a week ago my game crashed and i had to force close it. When i restarted the game it took a solid 5 min to start up. It was loading for a long time, BUT i had internet for that one session. And then any time after that i had no internet again.
So the issue is probably with how the game starts up, it just skips over the whole “connecting to the internet”
It will ask me to connect, which I click, and then it says failed to connect, playing offline

Hello my wife and me are both playing the game and we both started on the Switch. Now the issue 1 Switch 2 players. So i bought the game for the Ps4 but I can't sync my Switch gameprogress onto it.
Still cannot connect to internet on PC using Epic. Haven't been able to connect for a couple weeks.

My Girl played on my xbox First , than she bought it for the Switch and had the cloud saving activated to play at the Last Point . Now i will Play on the xbox and im not sign in of cause. I had logged out before. But the game is already connected with the Account of my girlfriend. The account on Xbox and switch had the Same ID in the Game and i cant change or delete it ? So i cant play the Game on xbox wirhout to destroy my girls game …
PS4: all data lost, unrecoverable on cloud.

Same issue here since sunday, I tried to continue my game on switch, I got disconnected from my cloud save. Went back to my PC and got disconnected also. Now I can only play on PC with my most recent save.

Issue: Same Problem here: No online connectivity on my switch. No blue chest, no Events, no cloud save, even if they say "your online now". Restart the game doesent fix it. Try other WLAN and even my Handyhotspot but nothing worked 😦

Customer care finally got back to me after a couple of weeks about this same issue. They said they’re aware of the issue & are looking into solutions, so here’s hoping it gets resolved in the upcoming patch 🙏

So, just an update. First time i played the game, both my local and save data vanished. After restarting everything (since they were no help in recovering either of my save files) i’ve had the connectivity issue for almost a month now (started on Sept. 18). And now i’ve gotten this reply. They literally make you run around, giving you bs solutions (or in most cases, no solution AT ALL). This is truly so sad. Anyways, maybe the reply i got can help someone out, cause it for sure did nothing for me.

Issue: I have lost all my progress twice now. First time my game froze when I was about to complete Maui’s quest. Closed the game and restarted it up, hit continue and took me to the character creation screen. Second time, I had logged out normally and the next day I went to play it and hit continue, it took me to the character creation screen. I have submitted a ticket so I guess now we wait 😭

Sometimes, upon starting the game, the “Continue” button isn’t there, even though I’ve been playing for several days and have Cloud Save on. This happened before and then the next day I tried to play and the “Continue” button was back and I could play. Now it’s gone again.

Issue: Can no longer login to my Gameloft account / Cloud Save
I bought the Ultimate Edition and Steam suggested that I also bought the Deluxe Edition to “complete collection” which I did thinking I would get more Moonstones.
It then logged me out of all my platforms and now I can no longer access my cloud save / Gameloft account as nothing happens when I type in my password and confirm to login.
The same thing happened to me on a 60+ hour save file

When I logged in this morning via continue it went straight to avatar creation. Closed App 3 times to try to get back but nothing. When logged in, everything lost Photos: None because everything is gone

I had this happen on my ps5 save, to be honest, I get anxious every time I start the game now.
I did restart and have caught up to more or less where I was (not counting lost time) but I would literally cry if I lost my save again.
I think there should be an option for maybe two or three saves locally so there is at least a back up, and for the new game option to be in a not so easy to press by accident place (for those that did that) 🤷
honestly if it were just me I would never play again... 100+ hours to lose is crazy but I play this with my 6 year old daughter who spent an hour crying over it so I may try to catch up as she was really looking fwd to playing lion king and toy story quests. Hopefully they will be able to at least give the items in collection as she had 1/3 to 1/2 of almost all of the collections. Even founders items were lost forever.

@spare dock Why isn't there any news about a fix for us who can no longer connect to our Gameloft accounts due to purchasing a double pack on Steam? There's a serious issue going on with Steam where you can buy more than one Founder's pack and when you do it ruins your ability to connect online so you can no longer access Cloud save, Starpath or blue chests. You can't even make a new account as you will get "unknown error".
By paying more money for the game we get punished. All we want is just to be acknowledged that this is an issue Gameloft is aware of and is working on a fix for. I've written to both Gameloft support as well as Steam Support and Steam reacted immediately and said that it was an issue with how Gameloft has posted the game as DLC and hence Gameloft is supposed to provide the fix.
Are we supposed to just lose out on the next Starpath?

Issue: I am still missing my founders pack items. I have reported the issue to gameloft but getting very upset as I spent well over 100 dollars to play on two platforms. Also as of today I can’t play on my switch I get the error in the picture below.
Not sure if this is the right area to post this but I’m on the switch and since the update this morning my game keeps going offline a lot. I’ve only had this happen once before, now it’s happening constantly.
