Issue: Seaweed Not Respawning
Photo (optional, but helpful!): I need seaweed in order to craft fiber and so that I can turn it into rope that I need for the quests from Donald and Goofy but for Walle, I need seaweed to make fiber in order to make the 3 Burlap Bags. So I need a lot of seaweed 😂 in order to finish these quests. I had waited 24 hours for them to maybe respawn cuz I figured they spawned in the middle of the night but never found them again and the only seaweed I found is in Glade of Trust and it is on the other side of the mushrooms which I can’t get rid of as of yet

Issue: Ever since I unlocked the Sunlight Plateau biome HARDWOOD is no longer spawning . I have looked in both Forest of Valor and Sunlight Plateau and its nolonger spawning in either of them. No sticks are spawning in both biomes.

Seaweed does not respawn. Try fishing where there are no bubbles, you can catch it like a fish 🙂

I've just been picking up every single pile of sticks I come across in these biomes. 24 hours later, new piles of sticks have spawned in and some ARE hardwood.

I didn't know we shouldn't TT so I did it and after returning my game has been dead for days. My crops never grow, the mining rocks never respawn, I can't forage anything, and my apple trees don't grow anymore. Obviously won't TT ever again but wish I could play again :(

Issue: Flowers and seafood have not respawned on Dazzle Beach for about 6 days now. I have not time traveled. Trees, bushes, and mining spots are respawning fine in that biome, and I'm having no respawning issues in any other biome, only Dazzle Beach.

Issue: I was told to time travel to fix an issue on day 2 of the game being out. I didn’t know it would break all aspects of foraging/mining/farming. I don’t know what to do at this point. The game has been out for two weeks and we can’t play on the correct date. I apologize for time traveling but I only did it because someone said it would fix a bug.

Platform: both switch and Xbox Issue: I am no longer getting fish bubbles when trying to fish. All of my fish sources are bubble free and I cannot catch any of the special fish that come from the bubbles. I also have some foraging items that show on the screen but can’t be picked up. It’s almost like the items don’t exist.

Xbox So I need to get a flower for one of my quests for Donald and they are not respawning in the sunlit plateau and neither are branches! I logged off last night and then got on this morning and still nothing has respawned.

There are respawning issues in most if not all biomes.
The majority are split into two sections, the later of which is not immediately accessible i.e. blocked by elephant bones, large mushrooms, ice and tree stumps etc.

When players visit and empty the first accessible area, the game coding seems to favour the closed off area initially to replenish consumables. I suspect this is the reason for why players above are reporting a lack of collectibles and are resorting to the moving the well tactic as a workaround.

The respawning should be adjusted to favour the initial entrance to a biome until the secondary barrier is removed (usually in the form of completing friendship quests.)

My forest of Valor hasn't responded wood or flowers in days. Mushrooms in the glade of trust are also very rare and that is preventing me from getting the watering can upgrade.

PC: it seems like nothing is respawning, a few days ago I could run around and stuff would respawn in at least a couple hours but now I've been waiting almost the whole day and nothing has respawned, from foragables to fishing spots, mining spots are okay though. I can't get enough fish or foragables for quests now though which kinda sucks
Edit: Also compounding on what Kelsey said, I played for a while on just local save then uploaded to a cloud save again afterwards so idk if that had anything to do with it

Having respawn issues, specifically when mining for gems, also unable to harvest things.
I’m reading this issue can be caused by time traveling… my switch was not synced to internet time when I began playing, i fixed it to the right date when I realized I couldn’t save to cloud or collect chests… but now that I’m synced to the internet the game is becoming unplayable with foraging issues.

PC: Hi, I posted in another channel earlier today, but it appears it was deleted... My issue doesnt really fit any of the open topics, but i guess this is as good a channel as any. For the last day or so, all chests and memory orbs that i have opened only provide me with coins, no memory, wardrobe or furniture items. I cannot advance any of my memories. This applies to gardening, digging, foraging, and opening ice block/mushroom chests. The only exception is that quest line memories are working. I still have a ton of memory shards that i need and reviewed them to make sure i was doing the proper activities, but i only get a couple of coins instead.

Once you reach the day you TT'd ahead to, you game clock should start ticking as normal again. If it doesn't, I'd reach out to the devs. I saw one of them mention this a while back.

Issue: moving things around in the edit mode, moving all of my raspberry bushes and apple trees into one area. Went to save and exit build mode and got set back a couple of clicks turned my apple trees into raspberry bushes???? I now have no apple trees.

Since the update, no flowers are spawning at all in the Forest of Valor... can't move quests along without them!

Turns out my beach bug wasn't actually a bug! All the flowers and seafood were just spawned on the island, so I manually moved everything over to the coast and my problem is solved!

Xbox series x - The Forgotten Project quest. Yellow Bromeliad. Need two. Found one immediately upon unlocking Sunlit Plateau. Three days later and still not a second one to be seen. In fact, I picked all the flowers upon unlocking the area, and in three days, only one flower has respawned at all.

Issue: None of my items are respawning since the update. I haven’t been able to continue on missions because I need iron ore and other items. I’ve tried uploading the cloud save on Xbox, but the items are still not respawning.

Each time I unlock a new biome, hardwood stops spawning in the other ones.

Example. I unlocked Forest of Valor first after the beach, was collecting hardwood no issues. Then I unlocked the Glade of Trust. Hardwood was spawning there, but stopped spawning in the Forest of Valor. Then unlocked the sunlit plateau, hardwood no longer spawns in the glade of Trust and Forest of Valor still. I have not unlocked any other biomes yet, and wood is still spawning likely until i do open another location. Has been a few days as well for the forest of Valor and Glade of Trust, but still nothing spawned.

I dont know if someone already reacted to this - But you can actually fish for seaweed! Fish outside of the ripples/bubbles!

Platform: Switch; Can’t harvest herbs, mushrooms, or anything planted (sweet chilis, cotton, canola, rice are the ones I have). Certain materials won’t regenerate (apples is what I’ve noticed most) and continued issues with hardwood regeneration.

Issue: Chests are able to spawn behind the "Big Skull" in Sunlit Plateau. The player is not able to squeeze behind the Skull. The Chest is far enough away that it cannot be Opened/Gathered. It cannot be moved in Furniture Mode.

I had this problem too, so my solution was to just pick up ALL piles of sticks in the biomes that spawn hardwood. A few hours later more piles of sticks would spawn in, including hardwood.

To anyone having hardwood spawning issues, go to all the biomes that spawn hardwood and pick up ALL piles of wood that you find, even if they're not hardwood. Then give it quite a bit of time and more piles of wood should start spawning in, including hardwood. This worked for me anyway. A bit of a grind, yes, but you get there in the end.

I definitely think there’s a bug because even the frequency and amount of sticks spawning in the plaza and peaceful meadow are super uneven to the other biomes. The plaza will be respawning sticks before I’m even done clearing the entire plaza out meanwhile on my second rotation through the biomes when I make it back to the glade of trust I’ll only find maybe 2 sticks if I’m lucky

This is a really fun issue for me irs a game of roulette pretty much! I was moving all of my foraging trees and bushes near each other for ease of gatherings and now everything other then my apple trees give me something different for example

Issue: 'timer' drops on most foragables have the items disappear 3-5 seconds before the timer actually stops, making it near impossible to actually complete the gather all the things' before its too late

Respawn time for harvesting items should be faster because even though I'm collecting items so that more items spawn it's super slow but that isn't the worst part. Almost every area has a part of that area locked either by mushrooms blocking the area or by some other obstruction, When doing harvesting quests it feels really bad seeing the stuff you require spawning in those blocked areas since it's technically the same place so that may be effecting the spawn rates where you're allowed to be and walk.

When you get the item event where tons of items explode out of whatever you mined or picked up the the music starts and you have a time limit to pick it all up but the items dissappear before the time limit music and its jarring every time plus it seems like the music should go up until the moment the items dissappear and shouldn't continue after.

Go fishing in a spot with no bubbles 🙂 doesn't help with respawn issues but at least you will get your seaweed

Problem: Respawn time for foraged materials seems to be unusually high. Seems to be affecting all zones for items found laying on the ground (wood, scallops, flowers etc - not harvested nodes like mint, garlic, oregano etc). Issue: Advancing too quickly to the glade of trust and farming everything. Now can’t access the other side of the glade where EVERYTHING has spawned. No flowers. Very rarely mushrooms. (Usually one a day and I need 20 to advance).

Issue I think is the respawn is for the entire areas vs the area you currently have access to.

Hello! I'm having an issue on the PC/Steam version of the game: I tried to move my trees to the same area for ease of harvesting, but they glitched out and overwrote half of them. I quit without saving via task manager and that seemed to fix the glitched trees, but I'd like to report the bug to make the team aware of it.

Issue: I don't know if people are aware, but sometimes when you mine/fish/forage, you'll get an "explosion" of extra resources. This happens when removing night thorns as well, but you'll get bonus coins. The coins are synced up with the music just fine but the resources (i.e. extra fish) have a timer that is not synced with the music therefore they disappear early even though the music is still playing.

I think I have found a partial work around for the spawning issues in the biomes split in two, where things like mushrooms prioritise spawning in the second, locked, part of the biome:

Yesterday I went into the furniture menu and using plants not native to the biome, I filled as many of the empty spaces with these as possible in the second half of the biome. This morning, I have been able to pick 14/17 mushrooms missing from the quests for Merlin.

By filling the other biome the respawns are forced to the part of the biome I can reach.
Its a little bit of work, but it is better than waiting 20 days as I was only getting one spawn a day.

Please note that there is a chance that respawning may still find an empty space missed and fill that, which is what has happened to me now, so I wont be able to finish this quest until tomorrow, but it is significantly better than waiting 20 days for a 1 spawn a day.

I also recognise no one else is crazy enough to spend the time required to do what I did - It's insane, but the option is there for people if they want it.

Suddenly unable to harvest/pickup any forgeable ingredients. Basil, oregano, garlic, mushrooms, etc. need garlic to progress in a quest and cannot pick it up. Tried restarting, fast traveling to realms, wishing wells, entering/exiting buildings. Furniture mode recognizes there’s something there (as in cant place item over it) but in live mode it’s completely ignored.

Also hardwood is few and far between for me but now it isn’t respawning. I’ve gotten a couple dry wood or soft wood that respawns in hard wood areas but that’s it. Can’t complete another quest until I have more hard wood. Soft wood is beyond plentiful.

I think that's because the wild berries are only supposed to grow in the areas you find them in. As an alternative, I suggest making mini orchards/vineyards in each area of the valley near that area's well. That'll make it easy to travel around to each of them quickly. Perhaps also include a garden area and the local Goofy stall nearby for convenience.

A little trick if you haven't unlocked the other halves of those areas that may help you: If you go into "furniture placement" mode, you can move the harvestable wood, flowers, and plants from the part you can't yet reach to the part you can. Alternately, you can move the well to the other side, then quick-travel to it to access that half.

You absolutely do not need to wait for seaweed to respawn. Just finish anywhere there isn't a bubble, and you have a good chance of catching seaweed. You are not restricted to fishing only at bubble spots.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I thought I would mention it. (I tried to see if someone else had, but this is a veeeeerrrrryyyy long thread....)

While it isn't really a problem, since neither gives anything you can't get elsewhere, I have noticed that, since clearing out all the tree stumps and small ice chunks, neither of these things have ever respawned again.

I notice that the big mushroom clumps, coral formations, and rock mounds all respawn in their respective biomes, but the stumps and ice haven't been. Again, maybe this is intentional, I'm not sure, but I wanted to point it out, in case they are supposed to also be popping up like the other stuff.

For players having issues regarding the inability to harvest herbs. I have found an resolution (worked on my end). Its a sync issue. Make the date/time either ahead of the sync or exactly when you changed it. Changing it from night to day to talk to certain characters is what borks it. I changed my clock a day ahead as a test and it fixed my issue (went from night to day to talk to Remy and it broke my game)

Update: It appears to be directly synced with the cloud saving. When I go online it breaks the herbs. Theory is cloud messes with herb interact location.

You don't need to wait for seaweed to spawn. Just fish anywhere there's no bubble.
As for the flower problem for you and @night latch , if you haven't unlocked the other half of the forest yet, move the well to the other side of the river (to the part you can't get to yet) and quick travel to it.

Thank you so much for your advice. Collecting all sticks is what I am currently doing. The problem is more than the type of sticks. I’ll collect every stick pile on the entire map on all areas and come back hours later and only 3 piles might have spawned in that time no matter the type.

Many of the questions people have around foraging and items spawning can be solved this way, if you haven't unlocked all the areas yet: In each of the biomes, there's a part you can't access yet because it's blocked. If that's true in the biome you're trying to harvest from, pay for the well reconstruction of that biome, then you can go to furniture mode, move the well across the river to the part you can't access, then quick-travel to it to harvest the stuff there. You can also move the larger harvestable plants (but not the little ones with spices) and pieces of wood over where you can reach them.

Of course it is, and they've already said they're working on it. But for now that's a way to work around the problem. You have to remember that this is an early access game, which means you bought it knowing there would be temporary bugs.

I reported an issue the other day about sticks/wood spawning. Since the update I noticed a significant decrease in wood/sticks. This is worse than I originally thought. Jumped into the game for the first time in 2 days and only 2 pieces of wood has spawned in the Forrest, glades and plateau. This is 2 pieces total across all 3 areas. I collect all wood across the map and respawn is only happening in the plaza and meadow. Making the hardwood quests basically impossible. It has taken me almost week to collect 18 hardwood and that is only because I had 10 already collected before the update.

When the music countdown happens for Coins I can pick up the coins and get the reward chest each time. However, when the music and other quick pick up (red glow/ gold glittered) items start, the items completely dissapear and the music continues for 10 to 20 second longer every time. Please adjust the syncing between the non coin pick up items and the music.

On a related note, this forum is actually intended to be a reporting space, not a troubleshooting or discussion space, which is why it has a 5-minute timer. If you see someone with whom you would like to investigate an issue or try a workaround, you can tag them in another channel (such as #dreamlight-help) or ask permission to DM so you can work on it together 👍

Not sure this is an overall foraging issue but I’ve experienced this quite a few times when foraging so I’ll put it here. When you get the option to collect items on a timer for a golden chest reward the items will disappear before the timer runs out so you never have the opportunity to collect all the items to spawn the chest. Issue: The drop rate on clay in the specified biomes needs to be addressed. There is more dirt and coins dropping in the marsh and plains, particularly than clay. With the amount of clay needed for both the Minnie quest plus the ship fixing quest to get Ariel, the drop rate needs to be better. Having a level 10 companion with you doesn't increase the drop rate either plus the rate of bonus item on digging companions seems to not apply equally to clay vs. dirt and coins.

I've been trying to complete Donald's "The Forgotten Project" quest for a couple of days. It requires flowers from several locations including Glade of Trust and Sunlit Plateau. But after picking flowers, they fail to respawn, even after a day.

Eventually, I managed to fully open Glade of Trust, and lo and behold, flowers started spawning everywhere in it.

The Sunlit Plateau is different. Since there's no way to remove the bone blocks so far, no flowers are spawning on the open side, making gathering Yellow Bromeliad and Pink Houseleek impossible to aquire for the quest.

Thank you so much!! I was able to grab the house with just a little bit of persistence 😅 I was able to collect my 3 flowers and discovered a bonus mushroom cluster. I'm pretty sure I got the house exactly back where it was. I've read about some other players having issues with spawning quest items after moving the house in the forest and I'm not trying to set myself up for failure 😆

Issues of garlic spawning rarely (if at all) in Forest of Valor. I might not be able to finish the Pixar event if not fixed. I have to harvest/sell 50 garlic. I’m finding about 1-2 per 24 hour DAY. I could play a from 8am to 8pm and gather maybe 1 or 2.

I ran into a weird glitch. While it was raining, I was planting pumpkin seeds. It was raining when I was planting them, but in the middle of planting them, it stopped raining. And so for some reason, the pumpkin seeds I was planting while it was raining never registered as being watered so I had to go back and re-water them. Also, the ones I had to go back and re-water looked like they didn't need to be watered.

When getting a rare multispawn from anything, mostly mining, the last gold glinty item vanishes right before you can pick it up. For whom it may concern: Breaking the object limit seems to break the game. The game does not check object limit when digging. If your plants don't spawn or saving to cloud fails or random glitch effects are appearing in the world, try covering up holes. The sweet spot seems fuzzy and not exact at the object limit, plants started to reappear for me as I covered holes, but cloud save still failed. When I removed even more past the object limit, finally cloud save began working again. The object limit count in game is also untrustworthy. I have about 100/600 and can't add, ignore the number. Once you can start placing down furniture again, remove some hundred holes more and see if plants reappear and cloud save begins to work. Hope this helps anyone.

Enter furniture mode and move the teleporter to the other side that you cant access. You can teleport right over there 🙂 can do this in any biome where you havent upgraded tools yet. works like a charm.

Pathfinding gets confused. I have built a small orchard maze from fruit bushes and trees. (simple s shape) When I harvest inside maze it sometimes decides it want to pick berries from other side of the bush, takes control of my character so I can't do anything until it has ran out of and around the whole maze. When it can't decide on a path it gets permastuck and I have to kill application, can't even access menu and exit gracefully.
Also, calculating the Pathfinding seems heavy and executes on the main thread often freezing my character for 5 seconds while deciding what to do.

hardwood stopped spawning. I noticed this while working on the quest "village project: a mountain man's stall". Not sure if this started before the quest as I was low on hardwood when starting the quest. I started to play on my PC via steam and now there is hardwood.

I had only been able to play on my offline on my switch while traveling. I was stuck on 6 or 7 hardwood for several days.

I found a good way to get hardwood but some people might refuse to do it. It guarantees the spawn of it though with minimal effort! I found that frosted heights and forest of valor specifically produce hardwood the best with this method just as a heads up but you can do this in any biome that offers hardwood. Remove every single tree in the biome first. Has to be every tree that you’re able to remove some trees lining the biome are not removable as a heads up! Once you remove all the trees just add 10 of the plaza trees that are unlimited in the furniture menu. The little boxy looking trees. Line them up any way you want to in the open space you now have just make sure there’s at least three spaces between each tree for wood to spawn. This guarantees wood drops every 15 minutes 🙂

I have found if you are "hanging out" with Remy and have him mining he glitches in the rocks sometimes especially in the glade of trust (windows). If you teleport to a well he will follow and drop whatever he was trying to pick up.

Had the same issue with garlic a few days ago but once I completed the event quest requiring me to sell 50 garlic, seems to have gone back to normal. If you haven’t gotten into forgotten lands to easily walk to the side that’s blocked by the bone fences, just enter furniture mode and move your teleporter to the other side to collect your flowers 🙂 I discovered from a dev in here that the spawns max out after picking everything and they probably all spawned on the other side. You just gotta hop over there is all and moving the teleporter is a quick fix that doesn’t mess with the games mechanics
