Issue on Nintendo Switch, I have 2 switches I go back and forth with. My “primary” switch is having issues with harvesting any crops I’ve planted, but it works just fine on the other switch. I am sending the data from the same game between the two consoles.

Edit 1: it seems to be limited to a few different locations on the map where she can and can’t harvest. I don’t necessarily think it’s specific to the item

Platform:Switch. Issue: Some crop plots not being able to be watered. What caused the issue: Not sure has happened a few times since the update. I don’t know if it happening in all the biomes but i have moved my house to forested heights and that is we’re the issue is happen. I have planted pumpkins in the forgotten lands and don’t have the same problem.

Platform: PlayStation Issue: the far side mining rock over the bridge makes my buddy’s glitch when they try to grab a bonus mineral or gem. Have to teleport out of there to fix it.

I have an entire field of crops behind my house that I cannot harvest and the game doesn't recognize is there. Lol

Issue: I sometimes get the display that my plants need water. When I go there I see all of them having the "already watered" animation. When I return later, my other crops have fully grown but suddenly some plants are dry and require watering. Seems to be a visual bug.
Another thing I noticed is that some spots dont get watered even though its raining. This specific case was in the forgotten lands.

Edit: I just noticed that that happened as I was planting while it was raining. Suddenly rain stopped mid-plant and I continued to set my seed. The one which were set while raining had "already watered" animation yet at the end of my round, I noticed that they still needed water on the map and while hovering with my water can over them.

Since the patch, I’ve noticed that my crops don’t stay watered long at all. I just watered an entire patch of canola, and 5 minutes later they’re dry again? I don’t remember that happening before the patch.

Issue: A specific section of my garden has been growing for over a week. It will become dry and will get watered but that cycle repeats instead of them ever growing. The rest of my crops planted "after" whatever that is, do grow. Just not those ones. Idk why

-Character will freeze when harvesting crops, sometimes the game will crash when doing this.

-When doing bonus harvest character gets in the way then you end up talking to them and miss the gold bonus.

• I think another problem is people farming pumpkins to get alot of money fast in game and planting hundreds which make the game crash

I have an issue when your gardening/foraging that a bunch of that item pop out and a timer starts to collect them. Sometimes I can't get everything and when that happens it disappears but the timer music continues a while after the items disappeared. Seems like it isn't synced up

On Xbox: it hasn’t rain in the game for several hours. My husband plays on his Xbox in the same room and it’s raining in his game right now. This is my 2nd game and having issues.

When the bonus vegetables spawn to collect in time for a chest, they all disappear after I only collect 2 or 3. Well before the timer is to run out because I can still hear the bonus music playing

Issue: Crops watered during rain will appear not watered once the rain stops… on separate logins.
Notes: When I had logged off earlier today, I believe it was raining/storming in my world. Any crops I plant in the rain are watered automatically. I logged back in later tonight and some of my crops were dry again. I think it only happens to crops not fully grown when I log off.

I also find issue with the switch when my crops are watered by the rain. Not long after the rain has stopped, my crops are dry as well 😦 this was not the case prior to the update 😦

I didn’t know if it was a pre or post patch issue. Just happened to notice it wasn’t silly me forgetting to water as lots of my star path tasks lately involved a lot of gardening. XD

I've also been having the same issue. Just planted my pumpkin seeds in the rain and double checked on the map and it was confirmed that they were watered but less than 5 min later the rain stopped and they were considered dry on the map when they still look watered in person

Every morning 1 or 2 of my patches has dissapearing holes, or actual crops that dissapeared in stead of the crop holes... Platform: PC. This is EVERY morning... So I really feel like this is an urgent fix... I lost 2 times 8x15 patches of pumkins last time...

Hey, my partner has a glitch where 2 plants are indefinitely growing and not getting finished. Is this a known bug? What can we do here? Never had that before, just happened today.

Character is slow at planting and harvesting. Sometimes it works well and a lot of the time they need a few seconds (they lag) and then they continue.

Issue: Canola planted in the Forest of Valor took about 4 hours to grow. It rained two or three times during this period (supposedly that resets the growth timer?) and I had to water the crops a total of 7 times before they grew.

However out of the 200 canola plots, 9 of them (scattered at random throughout the field) were able to grow much quicker and didn’t require extra water.

Issue: when pulling up plants from time to time it gives you a timed bonus, where if you collect all the pieces in the amount of time you get a chest, we’ll all the pieces de-spawn the minute I pick one up. Is anyone else having this issue?

i spent awhile in furniture mode and when i came out, some of the furniture hadn’t updated, including bushes for berries and trees, and i somehow gained a raspberry bush but lost an apple tree ? i think i also somehow got another lemon tree too

I can't always plant seeds. She'll do the animation for planting, but no plant will pop up and the seedcount will stay the same. I'm developing superstitions because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and seems more likely to fail in an established garden bed.

Issue: When gardening and extra items pop out, music starts that imply a countdown time limit for collecting these bonus items. However, items disappear long before the music is over, making it impossible to collect all of the bonus items. This also applies to all areas where this format is concerned (mining, foraging, etc.). Sometimes it gives you the full length of the music to collect, but 90% of the time they disappear mid-music.

Issue: When planting seeds/digging holes, holding the button to dig/plant multiples does not always work. When it does work, it can sometimes glitch. Ex. Skip plots while planting, show you harvesting crops walking backwards down a row, or stop planting and just stand there until you use the joy-con to "walk" while holding the harvest/plant multiple button, which will sometimes get the character moving again.

Issue: For the 2nd gate in the With Great Power quest, I planted and harvested an incorrect crop. I dug new holes and planted the correct crops in the correct order, but they do not grow and just keep drying up. No matter if I save and reset, and its still an issue a day later.

Issue: Game freezes/lags when gardening and then crashes a few mins later. Character either moves really slowly or really quickly while gardening and character often freezes in the middle of planting/harvesting or won’t plant/harvest in a straight line.

Issue: Unable to harvest crops, still require watering but never fully grow

Switch - so since the update as I'm harvesting it's very, very laggy and the red multi-collect doesn't let me select it now so I am never able to get it. Only happening on crops, and yes it's all different types and I've moved away from it and come back ect but nothing lets me select it so I can do the prompt. The crop is still there after I initially collect it and then it turns red, once the light is gone I can grab the single crop that was in the spot.

Harvesting new crops from wall-e's garden doesn't coint toward the dreamlight achievement "harvest different vegetables" however, harvesting one I planted does. (Harvested leeks and potatos from wall-e's garden before getting access to the seeds) Not sure if it is intentional or not.

On the quest "With Great Power," I planted the wrong plant and now there is no way to remove it.

I can't dig a hole on the plant, next to the plant, or anywhere in the room.

Hi, so I'm not sure if this fits into the gardening issues, but I haven't seen flowers spawn in the sunlight plataue in forever. Do the flowers there have a really long spawn time or is there an issue? I need bromeliads for several quests but I can't progress because no more will grow.

Platform: switch / issue: I did not know that traveling time will glitch my game. I did change the day once but reversed back to normal. After that I’m unable to pick up any oregano or basil. Also most of the items like wood or sticks aren’t re-spawning anymore. I had more than 100 sold it because I thought it was the quantity of items I had stored and now I can’t find any🥲.

Issue: Character often stops for a second or two inbetween each harvest of a crop. Doesn't sound that bothersome but it really is annoying because it takes at least twice as long to harvest when the char does this. I have a farm of around 250 pumkins so it's not a huge area. Doesn't matter what crops or in what biome,my char has been doing this since launch.

Rain appears to cause undesired effects or intermittently impact crop growth. Most players would assume rain acts like a semi-permanent watering can, and at least gives the appearance crops are being watered.

However as soon as rain stops, crops seem to dry out almost instantly.
I've had instances whereby planting crops like tomatoes during the rain, and only need to be watered once or twice maximum and grow in 25 minutes, had to be watered 3 or 4 times after drying out, almost like rain reset the entire growth process.

1. whenever picking up vegetables with a friend, when there is a special one with golden glow that you can pick up multiple times, the friend walks into the area and X triggers the conversation with them. I am unable to collect from the plant because it constantly picking up the conversation / planting other seeds. It is really frustrating as it happens pretty much every time.
2. crops are showing on the map as dry and when I go there they are watered (Sunlight Plateou)
3. when I leave game without closing and put PS 5 to rest mode my plants are not growing while I'm away

The rain doesn't really water the plants. Noticed this a couple of times and did some tests now and rain watering plants doesn't work. The plants look watered, but the map shows they are not and you can even water them again, the plants highlight that they want to be watered.

I did this with some of them and some I left from the rain and only the ones I personally watered finished, the others never did.

Switch: the press A to plant multiple rarely works. Occasionally it will but then as soon as I break off to eat something for energy I can’t get it back. This is making farming really tedious and limiting because of the time it takes to plant one seed at a time. It works on harvest multiple. Also I know this has been mentioned before but can gardening helpers please not walk into us and talk on glow spots and also if using harvest multiple it would be helpful if the character doesn’t move to the next spot after picking one item on a glow spot. What usually happens is it moves on, I try and move back, accidentally plant something, the helper crashes in, glow spot gone. Rinse repeat lol. This is driving me crazy and I’m starting to dread farming in the game.

yeah, I have that too - sometimes when you hold the button too long initially to plant, it doesn't pick up the "plant multiple"

Experiencing this exact issue on PC since the update. Currently in Peaceful Meadow. Plots will randomly appear to be in the wilted state, but cannot be watered. Map does not indicate that plots need to be watered. Appears to be random, cannot determine a way to replicate this behavior on demand.

yeah, maybe because the option to harvest multiple is there from the start? For planting it first opens the seeds menu, and I noticed that's when the plant multiple is buggy, especially since I already have the tendency to hold the button instead of press 😄

Rain seems to interrupt the growing cycle in my valley. Not only does rainwater fail to count as watering the crops, but if it rains when I’m planting it hijacks the watering process. Any crops that receive rain before being watered will take a hour or two to alert that they need to be watered, but it also restarts the clock so I have to start watering all over again.

I ended up having to water some pumpkins four times and wait six hours before they were ready for harvesting.

I realize there’s a visual bug that makes it appear as though plants have been watered by the rain. I accounted for that and watered when I was done planting even though they appeared wet from the rain.

What’s really frustrating is that any crops that the rain watered before I could didn’t register my secondary watering either. The growth never started at all.

Description : Every time I try to harvest the glowing crops, the gardener NPC is too close and I end up talking to them, & by the time I exit, the harvest boost is over.

I'm having this exact issue, have been since the 9th, you click your plant, or hit your rock, or w.e and the item explosion happens, but the timer music keeps going long past when they disappear, and you don't have enough time to collect the items. only the gold coins stay long enough, all other items disappear about half way through the music

By design any holes disappear if no interaction within 72 hours. But crops should not disappear, I don’t think.

Mine as well. I have found slightly better odds if I ensure I am not holding any tools , and take any seeds out of my pocket when I am picking crops so she doesn't try to plant instead of harvest. It's so frustrating to see how many extra crops I lose to either the NPC being in the way, talking to me, or throwing crops where I can not possible get to them in time when it does the red glowing crops.

I’m getting a bug that won’t let me “hold to plant seeds” I can hold to harvest just fine and also to dig but the seeds have never worked except for one time in the sunlit plateau.

This isn't an issue or bug per se, but I have found it really annoying that the harvest button on xbox is the same button to interact with characters. So if you have someone following you around to increase your harvest and a special crop that lookes like it's on fire happens and you have to press the button over and over, most of the time the characters get in the way and you end up in a conversation with them and miss out on the extra harvest. Today I moved all my fruit trees and bushes into one area in the plaza to create an orchard, neatly set out I was pleased with my Tetris like organising, on saving and leaving the editing mode, all my trees had jumbled up and I had more raspberry bushes than before and no gooseberry bushes 😱, but the weirdest part, some raspberry bushes now give Bananas 🍌 and banana trees give gooseberries 🤣.

So this is a technical annoyance but definitely sucks. If I plant crops while it's raining (which is smart when I have 300+) so that they automatically get watered, if it's STILL raining, they don't continue to get watered AND WORSE they still show as watered, with the water dripping off. Even if it STOPS RAINING, they still have the dripping water on them as if they're watered so I have to run around blindly with my watering can looking for squares that highlight to water them all. They should stay watered all throughout rain AND show the "dry" animation correctly when they're not

Here's what I've discovered that works: Plant gardens in order of what takes the most time to get to harvest to the least. More lag happens if the game is ripening the wheat while you're trying to plant the carrots. Switch up the tool you're holding while you're gardening. For some reason my avatar is more likely to fail to plant while carrying the watering can than while empty handed or holding the phone. I get better flow if I dig a whole bed, plant the whole bed, and then water the whole bed, than if I dig, plant, and water each plant individually.

The other thing to try if you're getting lag that's effecting planting is try to plant in a less busy place. I'm not certain, but it feels like the game is operating on a turn based system so only one character is performing an action at a time. This looks like an animal performing an animation and then after it's done Ursula doing a twirl in the pond. There might be a slight overlap but you'll notice that once the other character has performed their movement, your character will start to move again. If you're truly stuck, go into a building and come out again and continue. This forces a reload on the world. If that still doesn't work, exit to the title screen or down to desktop.

I have Cucumber in the Frozen Heights and Pumpkin in the Forgotten Lands that will not ripen! Pumpkins have been growing since last night (around 16 hours now) and Cucumber since this morning.

They're not showing as needing water on my map and are displaying as watered when I'm near both crops and do not highlight as needing water when I have my watering can out. It HAS been raining a lot in my biomes today...not sure if that's a factor. And I planted the cucumber during a storm so they were showing as watered immediately.

Got on this morning, expecting them to be done growing, and it was raining again - with no pumpkins grown. Holding x to plant lots in one go doesn't do that, it only works for collecting the grown plants. If everything isn't in a neat line or grid, then it won't pick up everything, even if it looks like there shoild be no issue (one big patch, everything had to stop lining up properly because I ran out of space, but it's still attached on as more planting holes)

For a quest for Goofy you have to harvest oregano and basil. Unfortunately on the switch the harvest button doesn’t appear, which means I can’t get@my hand on these items at all. Hold to plant for seeds is slow and buggy. Sometimes you will just stand there after planting one and do nothing for quite a while, before finally moving, and when you do you can easily once again stop for extended periods before moving again. Further sometimes the AI choses to go in weird directions that make no sense, turning right for no good reason instead of continuing the row.

Issue: I'm honestly not certain this is a bug or if I'm not doing something quite right, but every so often when I'm harvesting I get a special bonus crop and it tosses out a bunch of glowing red loose crops and if I pick them up (run through them) quick enough I can get some kind of bonus or something. The odd thing that is happening is that it has a little audio track that goes along with it, it goes faster and faster and finally ends with the disappearance of any crops you didn't grab in time, but the crops that are lying around dissappear several seconds before the audio ends, like it doesn't give me enough time. I have only been able to grab them all once and it was just because I got a very lucky placement.

Issue: When picking crops, occasionally a crop will release a mini game where you need to collect all the red crops within the alotted time or they disappear. When this happens, the red crops disappear before the time countdown music is over, usually there is another 5 or 6 seconds of countdown music going. Also, nothing else happens if you do manage to collect them all. When this happens with coins, if I manage to get them all, a chest will appear. This does not happen with any crop that does this, anytime I manage to collect all red crops within the time, there is no chest that appears. Not sure if that is intended, but it just seems like it should if I manage to get them all in time.

Issue: Controls do not respond as expected when trying to garden in a straight line (not life threatening but very frustrating)
I know that you can affect the way that your character moves when working in rows by using the mouse and the starting position of your character. I can garden in straight rows about 70% of the time doing this. The other random 30% is extremely frustrating. I am diagnosed with mild OCD as my brain doesn't understand that the answer to panicking and anxiety is not putting things in a row. I know everyone says they have OCD. Not everyone does. Sufficing to say, I have to take breaks sometimes when playing this game because no matter what I do, the controls do not respond as expected. It can make it harder to find things I've planted and to find the right thing to water when crops are 30% not straight.

I see the pumpkins are meant to take 4 hours to grow. But I planted them around 10pm last night. And it's been nearly 12 hours and they still haven't grown. Issue: Crops won't grow to maturity. It seems that half of the garden grew to maturity during the "The Curse" quest but the other half did not. Not sure if this quest halts crop growth along with preventing access to villager homes but this was when the issue was noticed. The auto plant gardening tool is VERY sticky, and not consistent.

The characters follow to close behind and their conversation is triggered by harvesting. They also get in the way and stop any auto plant/harvest

Could we make a machine or helpers asssit with gardening rather thsan them following? Maybe make a machine via wall-e and his junk.

Hi. I’m on the PS5. My issue is with the quick time event when you garden or forage. It sprays whatever you have just harvested and you have the timed music. If you succeed then you get a chest. But every time this happens the stuff disappears before the music is over. I am rarely successful. And it throws them into the water if I’m near enough or other places I cannot reach.

I just planted more cotton and in the last 30 minutes it’s asked me to water it 3 times and online it says it needs to be watered twice and grows within 25 minutes. Use the shovel to create a hole (or many) and then stand on it until you are asked to plant a seed. Select to do so, and see a window of the available seeds to plant. If there are more than fit in the window, and arrow key (see image) is available. Clicking the arrow key closes the seed window rather than giving access to the rest of the seed options.

1. lately the 'pathfinding' for harvesting and planting multiple plants has seem to have gone haywire. I've had my character do only a 2x2 squareand stopping, or suddenly switch the axis of the planting. I.e. I'm planting on the X-axis or facing that axis, and suddenly they take a 90° turn and start planting on the Y-axis of my fields.

2. NOt sure if this is intended, but when harvesting the garden that Wall-E manages, my character that tags along doesn't give bonuses like when I'm harvesting my own grown plants.

3. certain characters are really annoying as a partner when planting. Goofy has a tendency to become an immovable wall in the middle of my field blocking me from planting, and when Kristoff is tagging along, harvesting seems to take a lot longer to process. The only character I have that has gardening and doesn't really bother as much as helping is Donald.

I'm aware huge farm yards weren't accounted for probably and this may have something to do with it.
