Some info needs to be updated if possible. We’re working on the orchid sunbird favorite food issue. Several of the other foods marked as favorites are just likes.

I believe the Scrooge time of day may not be the same for everyone, as others reported items changing at different times.

if you are still trying to find favored foods for sunbirds i think i figured out a few the red bird likes the red brameliad, the emerald one likes the yellow brameliad the golden likes the orange houseleek and the turquoise one like the pink houseleek the only one im not sure of is the orchid

Yea that's why I have a Favorite column those are loves they will tick off towards the foraging achievements. The like is more for extra info.

|| if you complete all of Eric’s quests, he sets up a table in his house with blueprints. you can buy 2 a day from it. they seem to be crafting recipes (though they are unlabelled at this time so it doesn’t actually show you what you bought. you have to go to a crafting station and see what’s marked ‘new’ ||

Somer, you seem to know your stuff. Do you know if you can tame the Sunbirds by feeding them any flowers or will it only tame if it's their favorite?

So all the critters seem to be exp based if you notice the pink stars.. I think they can get them as a companion faster if you feed them their favorite or you'll eventually get them if you feed just their likes.

For example say the emerald sunbird if you feed its favorite it could take 5 times but if you feed its like it could take 7 times

Could we get a tab that lists different items we've seen in trailers or in-game leaks (like the favorite foods people want we can't craft yet) so they're all in one place? I know there are still quite a few characters we've seen in videos that aren't in the game yet, and I see folks ask a lot who we know is coming (as opposed to who we hope)

Re: companions, feeding them in consecutive days also increases the chances of unlocking them in the Collection and getting them as a Companion, according to in-game text

Where in game does it say this. Also the Character favorite food that can't be crafted yet is at the bottom under the recipes. As far as adding the characters that are not in game yet I know there's a thread somewhere with that for the guessing but adding it to this sheet would probably cause more confusion than anything since it was meant to be used daily for items prices location and the like.

@boreal crescent Squirrels like raspberries, blueberries, and apples. Raccoons like raspberries too. Foxes like most fish. Sunbirds like flowers. Seaturtles like clams, oysters and scallops if you don't have seaweed. I'm not very good at remembering specifics, but broadly this has worked for me. None of the animals like receiving spices. Sunbirds will not accept any fruits.

Foxes do not like cod or rainbow trout, but do like salmon and bass. I was able to attempt feeding them today!

I'm guessing the function isn't fully built the way they want it yet. I'm wondering how they'll do it so the catalog doesn't undercut the store displays. My guess is that the catalog will be a 'catch all' for things the store stocked that you didn't purchase, so you can buy it at a later date. or, it'll be like animal crossing where the catalog sells specialty stuff linked to an event or season, but has no overlap with what's sold in the store. dunno, though, we'll just have to see.

How do you tell if a critter "likes" or "loves" an item? is it just the animation?

The animation yes but really fast, the most telling is the fact that it has an uptick in the achievement under foraging for feeding the critters what they love.

I’m in EST and my daily discussions always reset at 8:00 PM. I always have to catch Ursula and Remy in the morning because they are always sleeping. No one else lets me talk to them yet in the morning, since I did the others the previous evening.

There's no real benefit to upgrading all your floors.. The exterior gives you extra storage space in the chest they provided with the house.. The inside may do an achievement I can't quite remember that one

My GF is getting Squids in white spots and tuna in Blue spots ... according to the Spreadsheet that is the other way around ?!

Happens sometimes yeah. In the blue spots etc you're more likely to get the rare catches, but you can get them (not very often) from white spots (for the squids).

In the glade Tuna and Squid share the blue spot, with herring.

I know this has been asked before but it confused me. On the meals tab there is the column "purchase" and "farmed", I thought it was purchase the item from Goofy's shop vs purchase the seed and farm it yourself but the numbers aren't adding up for me so if someone can explain it would be greatly appreciated.

Purchased v farmed I think is ingredients you can only get via remys…. And/or items/seeds purchased thru Goofy Vs farming things

So all the herbs, thems harvested, their value would go towards farmed

Hey I noticed there's a good gem mining route in the spreadsheet. If anyone is interested in an ore route, I obsessively mine lol so my friend asked me to make this the other day. Purple is where I set my wells, blue is crystal/gold/iron, gold is gold/iron, grey is iron. Nodes respawn after 5 minutes and this full circuit takes ~6ish minutes so you should never have to wait. I didn't see any guide about mining so figured I'd just post it here

I feed squirrels apple s and they got all glowy with purple stars and have me oregano.
Turtles i feed then scallops and clsms. They do the same thing but give me coconuts.

And I'm fairly certain that Kristof is a 48 hr rotation on his bottom 3 items

Yes, I’ve also fed the emerald sunbird a yellow bromeliad and had it take my 9/10 fave to 10/10. It’s convenient since that flower can be obtained in the same biome and all the other sunbirds love a native flower (excluding orchid for now since it’s bugged)

Hey, I’m just here to see if anyone has encountered clay or iron at Kristoff’s stall?
I see that both items are not on the guide and I’m more just really hoping that part is still being added to.
In the quest before the stall opened we brought an iron ingot sample to give an idea of what to carry at his stall. (Along with fiber, brick and glass which did make it on to the guide’s list.)
It’s probably a long shot, but Fingers crossed 🤞

hey somer, I downloaded a copy of the spreadsheet cause I wanted to add some stuff, and I was wondering how you got the 2 lines to persist between rows 1 and 2 and columns A and B (so I can remove them from extra rows/columns xd)?
I've tried format painter-ing from empty cells to each of the cells on the sides of the line, deleting and shifting from cells that don't have the line, formatting the borders from all borders to no borders but the lines are resistant to all my efforts lol.
Totally not a huge deal or anything, started as just wanting to make it so my scroll bar on the side was easier to grab but now I'm mainly curious how you put in these seemingly un-deletable lines lol

I once made a mistake of feeding a crocodile fish, but that’s because I didn’t have any lobsters at the time.

I just dug up the half of the beach that connects to the Glade and has the grand staircase to the meadow to see what I would get and got 272 sand, 252 pebbles, 20 clams, and 13 scallops. I also got one chest with a furniture drop and one memory. I think I dug 450-500 holes it is hard to keep track

So I tried to make waffles and the spreadsheet said any sweet will work. I think for regular waffles it has to be sugar cane. Cocoa gives chocolate waffles and vanilla gave me crepes.

I was looking on the wiki last night but it seems to be missing a few things (like some furniture pieces that I own aren't listed). When I was feeding them for Duties and to level them I would just write out what they want on note pad for all the ones I knew I was going to feed. So that works too if you don't want to go through the hassle of making a google doc.

I don’t suggest doing crackers or the hors d’ourves. Unless it’s asked at remi or for a favourite gift. They are a waste of value the minute you add the price of the coal. You would be better using the product in another dish or sell as is

No one has a definite on that data and many people feel it's based on times feds and others thing it's based on exp some people think it's completely random.. Once gameloft releases the exact data I will add that kind of info.

Orders update with new orders anytime a new character walks in. Only one order per character it seems, but in Somer's spreadsheet which is pinned in this channel, you can go to Character Sleep Schedule and it tells you which character is in the restaurant when and for how long 🙂 I hope this helps!

No big tips there, sorry. Aquamarines are only found in Dazzle Beach and the Forest so focus your mining there as much as you can. If you don't have the Duty to mine 60 minerals yet, clear some other duties until you get that one so you can combo those two together since you'll likely be grinding a bit. good luck!

Pretty random but not too long, if you're looking for a specific flower, you're going to want to make sure to loot all the flowers otherwise if you just pick what you want it could respawn as something different

I can't tell if all of the Halloween Duties have been properly clarified, but I thought I'd make a post where everyone can find them?

Villainy wears many masks Duty = It should suffice to simply put on one mask
3-Course Halloween Meal Duty = Eat one of every candy color from the trick or treat buckets. [which is three, purple, green, and red.]
Sugar Rush Duty = Eating normal candy, I think? Just plain sugar, vanilla, or cocoa seems to be the most efficent
Trick or Treat Duty = This one seems a bit finicky, but I believe you just have to give gifts to 10 different villagers. Whether it was favorites or not, I wasn't able to confirm.

Oh, Any Seafood means shelled things like the oysters or scallops, not a fish. So 2 seafoods, a shrimp, a tomato, and a veggie

yeah. I tested some of them again and the my hero cookie doesn´t work with sugar cane and the large seafood platter also need some specific combinations, sincy any seafood and lemon doesn´t work.

Some of the critters don't seem to have liked foods, only loved. As for what you can get for them, that's fairly random. For example, foxes will often give you iron ingots for salmon but not always. Ravens will give you gold ingots for liked, but not always. Listing everything you can get for feeding a critter their liked item would take a whole lot of testing.

I'm sure if you do the testing and find the answers, Somer would appreciate seeing a post about it. Whether they update the chart with that info would be up to them, but then the info is at least there for them to do with as they choose with this massive spreadsheet that must have taken FOREVER to put together!

As far as I know, Somer isn't really planning to put much in the way of graphics into the excel sheet. You could always save the infographic somewhere where you can find it again easily enough. I know that I made my own discord server with just me in it to save a lot of the things I found around here so I wouldn't keep losing them. 🙂

Flowers and wood are both usually 10-15 mins or so from observation. Spices and herbs are roughly the same - seems I clear my plaza of oregano and it's back before too long.

Did a lil test for Wall-E's garden: Harvested the crops at 3:40am my time (I do live with Daylight Savings) and at 4:00am the crops went from empty holes to full plants!

I originally thought they were a 24 hrs from last harvested but that might because of my weird in game playing times 😆

EDIT: it might be linked to the time when Night Thorns spawn in for users not exactly a local 4am

I have noticed something similar ( and this was my understanding how the whole system worked ) BUT I also noticed that if you wait til 2 hours before server reset to pull the plants, sometimes u don't have plants for over 24 hours. Not sure if there is a set time they have to be planted before they can be insta done on reset time or not ( not sure if what I am saying makes sense to others.)

Before today my daily discussions reset at 8 pm and then 7 pm because of Daylight Savings Time ending. I think they changed the time again, I wasn’t able to talk to Mickey, Woody, or Buzz (the only ones did today) again after 7pm/8 pm. They may have changed it to a universal time early in the morning, which actually I prefer.

I think this is actually a bug and not intended. It never worked that way before the update (was only one feed then done).

I got the favourite hearts as before. Brute forced about 20 5* meals on the white raven and it didn't get added, so pretty sure even though you can feed them multiple times only the 1st time will actually add the exp into getting them as companion.

Idk the average on how many feeds it was to get it as they're the only group I have no companions.

I don't see any advantage to doing it since it also does not count as multiple feeds on the dreamlight quests where you have to feed each animal type so many times

Yeah I'm not sure either. I fed a squirrel and it didn't even count towards the daily dreamlight either. Just a useless update that they shouldn't have changed

I can think of several reasons why the change is good. Some of us don't feed our critters every day because what if the dreamlight daily comes up to do it and then it's sleep time and we ran out of time. 🙂

I re-fed an animal that I already fed, and it didn't count towards the daily dreamlight task, I had to go feed another animal. So even then you have to leave at least 1 animal that you don't feed in case the task comes up.

Either that or they didn't implement it properly and it doesn't work how they now intend it to.

Which is why I said it's currently useless as there is no benefit to multiple feeding.

I am working on re-tracking everything (in terms of sleeping times, where characters are during every hour, daily reset times etc) in case things have changed since the update to make the information solid. But unfortunately gone down sick so it's gonna take some time.

From what I've noticed the sleeping patterns have not changed from what's on the spreadsheet but again, working on making the information as solid as before.

Some of the daily reset times have changed (as the clocks went back an hour recently), so working on tracking those also.

So, I was doing some research with our newest Valley Residents, and unfortunately, it looks like the numbers we have for flowers for friendship are no longer correct. I'm not able to provide a full count yet, but we're working on testing and verifying the counts on flowers again.

I noticed this time the amount had definitely increased when it came to gems at least. From 1-10 levels (not 100% accurate as fuzzy memory) it took like 80 gems +. With giving them 3 daily gifts & discussion.

Ok, so interesting turn of events. My data was for Woody & Buzz, and the numbers were different on the flower count. Hubs just took his alt account and power leveled Ursula with flowers, and the numbers are...accurate? So it may just be the newer village residents with different flower numbers, but again, I can't test all the way to level 10 to confirm.

Quick question, on somers guide it says make sure you pick up all the items of the type you're looking for, eg Wood, flowers etc as that increases the chance of what you want spawning. But on the flower guide it says only pick the colour of the flower you want to increase the respawn. Which method is correct/best?

If x is where I plant a tree, them the X should be bigger than a single cell, most (all?)trees are larger than 1x1. Does wood actually fall up to four cells away from the tree? How close should I put a trio of trees to each other for optimum output in minimal area?

wood type drops based on biomes, so any of the trees should drop all the types. One of the trees (with the red leaves) I want to say is frozen twisted tree or something along those lines.

I'm sure this was probably already mentioned somewhere but in case it hasn't -
If you are trying to get dark wood the quickest way possible, dark wood will spawn 8 in total only. Just leave the dry wood so your only picking up the dark wood spawns.
Maybe could add this to Somer's list in the wood section 😊
