This is a community project that everyone can help on that @half hollow wants to create (but words be hard) The goal is to find what the best ingredients are for all of the 68 recipes that have Versatile Ingredients.
Each versatile ingredient contributes a different amount of energy and money when you eat or sell a dish so this project is to find out what the best ingredients for all of the dishes is! If you would like to help pick a dish in here and make a spreadsheet - it can be linked to Ana's Doc here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/18fIHVv8Rf8IGYOt33SonDOu4lslqxQfQ_afXBEB96dg/edit?usp=sharing
If you have questions feel free to ping me ❤️ and I can help!

Depending on how late/early game you are, I've deduced the best recipes one can use for stamina.

Just started: the best thing to do for your first few hours/day of gameplay, just eat all the berries. Or running back to your house.

Early game: I call this one Caramel Apples +

You need: one apple, three fruit (I recommend blueberries for the best effect!) and one sugar cane!

This makes Caramel Apples with an energy rating of 1,688!

Late game: you got all the biomes, you've got mining and farming to do! You need all the stamina you can get! Well, I've got just the thing for you.

Pastry Cream and Fruits!

So, there's alot of openness with this recipe, as it's 3 fruits, milk, and sugarcane. But the secret? Gooseberries!

Using 3 gooseberries, one milk and one sugarcane, nets you a whopping 4,432 energy!!

I hope this helps you guys!!

I was told to plop this in here, so here it is. Hopefully it's helpful to you guys

I just made the Caramel Apples +!!! So cool! I figured out the different types of fish, but I've been experimenting A LOT in Remy's restaurant and basing my ingredient choices off his expressions LOL I will likely be a part of this venture!!!

COOKING INFO - IMPORTANT
When there is a choice, what ingredients you use can greatly impact both the selling price and energy restoration of the meal. This is why you will find separate stacks of food in your inventory depending on what choice you (or autofill) made. Here is a good example:

Lancetfish Paella - Lancetfish, Shrimp, Seafood (choice), Tomato, Rice.
• Using Clams - Eat: 4550 Sell: 1724 (Clams alone - Eat: 120 Sell: 45)
• Using Squid - Eat: 5000 Sell: 2452 (Squid alone - Eat: 1000 Sell: 500)

I tried checking to see if there was some rudimentary formula for calculating the Eat/Sell price based on ingredients, but it doesn't appear to be that simple if there is.

Fruit Salad++ basically just toss in gooseberry, coconut, cherry, lemon, and banana. gives over 2k energy. I use this all the time. if my energy is out ill eat one to fill up then a second to get well fed to walk faster. other than that I use aurora's cake or chocolate chip cookies. anything else that makes a lot of energy also sells for a lot so i normally dont eat them, I'll sell those instead. (maxed level and it fills up my energy bar)

cooking a custom meal in bulk takes too long so i use the standard berry salad which also gives over 2k energy but from a table i read i believe the best way to make fruit salad is 5 coconuts im pretty sure thats over 3k energy

what are good recipes for stamina using Tomatoes?

so, I have determined that the best value in stamina gaining in the mid game till you get easy way to get fish is Banana Pie, it costs a fairly trivial amount and gives quite a bit of stamina

So I’m noticing that when you auto fill pumpkin soup , the last vegetable is lettuce, if I change it too say a eggplant it doesn’t stack with the auto filled ones and the refill and sell is almost double pushing 2 grand a plate

#

Is there anything higher then say “eggplant” lol

berry salad + 2 gooseberries is the best fruit salad i've seen so far, giving 3410 energy.
(i used to just use 5 gooseberries, for the same energy gain, but i learned that the berry salad ++ is slightly cheaper in recipes, even if it sells for slightly less. i don't sell berry salads anyway.)

before unlocking the gooseberries though (you should focus unlocking them asap), just use the best fruits you have and put five of them in the recipe. 5 coconuts gives 2850 energy.. 5 lemons, 2290. i think you have access to lemons way before coconuts.)
