Is there gonna be a fix for the controller not working properly on the game? It was working just fine until last night then stops working mid game. I could still move the camera but couldn’t walk around, open the menu, ect.

I also have an issue with loading the game, everything worked fine for 2 weeks and error 5 popped up when i clicked continue, ive been waiting for disney to fix it for about 2 weeks, and ive gone on reddit and they suggested some ways to fix it and it does still does not work (playing on a PC)

Did you ever get a fix to your issue? I have a similar problem, game won’t launch at all just says dvd.exe has stopped working.

I am not even having any errors for 2 days now, my game won't start at all. It pretends to start then it doesn't. At first it was telling me the game isnt in my account when clearly it is, my eyes can see it. Now it simply just doesn't start. I spent hours with Microsoft support and all we did was reinstall microsoft store, useless. Right now I cannot play at all. My game is thru GamePass for now but I am not planning on keeping it and will buy on Steam soon. I hope this issue doesn't follow me to Steam.

@silver chasm I’m sorry to hear that. I was able to fix mine. I bought mine through the Microsoft store, and my computer had a message in the notifications saying something was wrong with my Microsoft account. I clicked on it, put in my password, and after that the game launches fine.

My error 5 was solved i dont know how, but it tried to play in my bf computer and it worked, then came back to play in my computer and it was working again

I tried it through Epic, Steam and the MS Store and nothing worked. I guess I'll try it again soon and see what happens.

I’m having this same issue on Xbox. 9 days now and they haven’t bothered to reply to me anywhere. Absolutely livid at this point. I’ve paid $100 for a game I can’t even play. The update did not fix it.

I have the exact same problem but only with steam. I’m gonna try downloading it onto my husbands pc on his steam and see if it works.

Day 12 (13 technically since it’s past midnight now) of the same “game initialization error #5” and still no help.

Started on Xbox One X, tried on Series X no use. Bought it on Switch, no use. Signed in to it on our Windows PC as we have game pass and it carried over, same issue. Try signing out of Cloud on all platforms and we get the errors shown.

It’s looking like the game deleted my entire save. 100 hours put in, everyone level 10, my last star path was completed so I’m sure I lost that. Feeling utterly defeated and disappointed in the lack of assistance with this error.

I also love how they’re saying “immediate workaround” when GameLoft takes 2-3 weeks to respond to customer service requests. I haven’t been able to play since I bought the game in SEPTEMBER. 🙃 and I just got an email yesterday saying “update the game, the newest update should fix your problem” and yes I understand they have a lot to work on with this being an early access game, but I should at least be able to LAUNCH THE DARN GAME. (PC) Anyways.

Oh I 100% agree. Crashes and glitches should not be their priority. It should be errors where players like us can’t even LOAD the game. I updated the game, all consoles up to date, PC is good, and still the same error.
