#Ugly graphic effects and lighting

Some nasty effects really make the game feel significantly cartoony, less realistic and uncanny.

  1. The UE grass is so bright on vanilla and modded maps, the lighting looks very artificial.
  2. Texture trailing and blinking when turning around edges. If you peek back and forth from corner for example you can feel it’s like fake wall with black slime appearing on its sides for a second. In Battlefield 1 there’s no such feeling for example. Something weird about UE.
  3. Water shader on the edges of view stops displaying shadows. And it also looks very dynamically fake, the shadows on water. They also blink a little. Water shaders better be put into separate setting with option to be disabled, it’s so ugly! Same thing is happening in Metro Exodus for example.

Overall the visuals look lacking touch up. I’m not asking for better graphics quality, it’s about making it look believable and blend organically with the world.

I’m playing on all Epic settings.

Grass is on Monte Cassini and Vooga, Rublivka, Forest. It’s often getting into too bright to be real saturation. Texture trailing is present on all maps, very visible on short walled areas of Risala, where repeeking and objects loading takes place often. Water on Jaziira, and on modded maps as well: Operation: Razzorblade, Lean Steep.

Vooga, razzorblade and lean steep: grass is fixed and update is coming on this weekend. Also I don't see any issues with water on those maps.
