Anyway, bunch of issues with pc later yeah im working on it again
Goal by the end of today is to have a dynamic crosshair implementation
Of course something like bloom wont be implemented yet, but it is a fairly accurate measure of your likelihood to pull a shot off

core logic is complete, now to make adjustments to make it look nice
Glory to curves! This neat little feature lets me fade in and out even if the crosshair is mid fade
this creates a very smooth result which im quite happy with for fadeouts
I imagine thisll be very helpful throughout the project
finally my long awaited mod remake ❤️
taking break, gonna come back and hopefully get the crosshair collapse working on aim
What about point view or whatever's the name
yeah
yea I think im gonna do what mw3 did by showing a crosshair in point aim mode
I might experiment with that, atm it doesnt do anything in base game apart from keep your aim braced
whereas unaimed you have the freeaim whihc unaligns your gun wiht center
is this going to be an update to your previous mod or an entirely different remake?
I think a different
not sure but I remember something like files were gone or idk
Back to work this morning
nice
wanna get this crosshair done and maybe also some groundwork for sliding
but actually I wanna make sure this all replicates correctly too
ALright, dynamic fadeout and shrinking is done!
Just gotta clean the code up a bit so that when I release the source its not too messy
Recently I started working on porting over Casual Warfare/Casual Mod to the new update, and I'd like to release my source code as I develop the mod.
this is not yet compiled as a standalone mod, this is the source
The goal is to create easily implementable, ravenfield mutator style, casual featureset that is drag and droppable into your project.
What does this first release include?
Dynamic Crosshair
- 3 Stages of default spread for prone, crouch, and standing
- Replaceable crosshair image to be whatever (of 4 point nature) you please
- Crosshair disappears when using non fireable item, or when a weapon is not operable (e.g. holding a bandage, reloading your firearm, prone moving)
- Crosshair fade & unfades on a linear curve track, creating a smooth non banding fade
- When aiming in the crosshair collapses and fades on a linear curve track, maintains smooth result even in spammy tests
- Compatible with multiplayer and bots
Don't worry, I will move some of the logic over to functions to make this as easily implementable into your own mods soon (probably tomorrow), but if youd like you can give this a shot now
The next feature that will be dynamic hitmarkers.
pretty mcuh
what should I do next
@potent fjord I was a big fan of your original casual mod when you showed it off last year. Sometimes I'd like to be able to just jump into a smaller (than OHD typical) map with lower player count (maybe 16v16 max) with faster movement etc. to chill. Run simple TDM mode or something more small scale. I defo this could bring people in to OHD
