The day before... If they hadn't forgotten to code the zombies. Joke appart, it's a modification of the advance and secure game mode with a zombie spawn system on the actives capture and defense points. The system works with any map and in multiplayer.

  • 4 different types of zombies.

  • 1 armored transport vehicle.

  • Zombie kills are counted in the scoreboard.

If you want to host a server with this mod, the path to the game mode class is :

redownloaded still had problems. somethings definitely wrong on my end. might have a conflicting mod? gonna verify game files and if that doesnt work i will probably delete some mods and see what happens

Here is my progress on the mod so far :

  • I have modified the spawn system; from now on, zombies only spawn on the objectives to attack or defend. Additionally, I have set a limit on the number of zombies and despawn those remaining on captured objectives. All of these changes combined have significantly improved performance, especially on large maps with numerous distinct points.

  • I have also implemented a system that allows me to display only the zombies that are visible on the player screen; all others are hidden, and their animations ticks are reduced to achieve additional performance gains.

  • Regarding animations, I have added a pushback mechanic. Now, there is a 20% chance of pushing a zombie back with each bullet fired. I may reduce this percentage later, but for now, it feel ok.

  • I have also reworked the zombie attack system. Now, zombies pause, attack, and then resume chasing the player or bot. I added this to give the bot a chance to defend themselves.

Here is what I plan to add next:

  • Improve the chase animations and ensure the proper adjustment of the chase speed as it feel a bit weird rn.
  • Create a demo map that will also serve as the foundation for the Survival map, featuring large buildings in a somewhat post-apocalyptic theme.

Idk if you're planning to go further with the mod, but I would definitely enjoy playing some sort of monster apocalypse with this

one way I see it working is like mob arena from a minecraft server called guncolony

after picking your weapons you start in a map

waves of differently programmed monsters keep coming

when you kill them you get ammo and some weapon drops that helps you, like molotovs, grenades, (he, impact, gaz...) health kits, limoted ammo rpgs and m202, and rare (500round) minigun.

you also get money with which you can buy nukes, m202, and med kits and air strikes

these are essential items that help you clear unique bosses that spawn in some specific waves, with the final boss being spawning in the last wave

@timid geyser Some nice suggestions here, idk what I will do as I have a lot of ideas and a tons of things are possible. There is another mod named Zombie survival which is doing something close to what you want, you should take a look, idk if it is updated for the last ohd version tho.

Yeah I got it in the sdk and fixed one issue which is parts of the map not showing up but the more only seems to be a couple waves before the zombies stop spawning

and you spawn in the ground, going prone/crouching fixes that tho

Some News :

I've done two playtest on my server with some people which helped me to figure out all the issues in the mod, I've corrected those issues increased the numbers of zombies a lot ( 10 max before --> now 40 ), zombie now correctly split on each points and I also added two new types of zombies : the "tank" and the "speedy".

Thanks to the playtest, I can now launch an EU server, the name is :

The Day After - Zombie PvPvE

It will not run 24/7 but it's worth checking if you just want to chill on it.

Bots are set to autofill to get some fun 🙂

What's are my plan now :

  • I plan to add new types of zombies : the Jumper and the crawler
  • I still plan to create a base map for the mod
  • Add a zombie kill count in the scoreboard

Someone gave me a nice idea on my server, like a world boss, something realistic ( I mean I will try ) which spawn one time per game, that the two team have to ally to kill.

Some News :

  • I've tried to rebalance all the zombies properly, overall reduced the difficulty to kill each zombies and changed their spawn rates.
  • You can now dismember the zombies.
  • Killing zombies is now count in the scoreboard
  • There is a new type of zombie : the crawler

Server Side :

  • I've locked the factions skins to USA vs PMC, to prevent the skin to change depending on the kit, that way I can use the two default factions with all the weapons available and keep the same skins on my server.

I started to prototype a simple vehicle : a black armored HMMWV with a turret, I think this will be the only vehicle available until the OHD vehicle update, because a lot of peoples asked for it.

  • I've updated the mod to the latest version which include my armored Humvee prototype, there is only one seat for the moment, but you can destroy it by shooting at and there is even a respawn, this is not the black Humvee version this is the same but with top hatch close, no turret and a camo. It will stay like that until the OHD vehicle update.

Hello! I'm trying to host a COOP server with this mod, but when trying to config it, I just don't see any zombies?
How can I set the server in the .bat so zombies appear in MP?
Because if I add bots to opfor, when joining the MP dedicated server I get stuck and frozen near to zombies. If I don't add bots looks like there are no zombies?
I'm trying this on Grozny Map, but does that matter?

Hello @amber arch sorry for the delay I've not check this discord for many months now but it seems the game don't have received updates yet so the mod should work properly, If I remember correctly, the zombies should automatically spawn on the active flags, I've tested many maps and hosted many events and never got any issue, does your map have a valid flag route ?
