Finally sitting down and working on a cold war Canadian faction.

The first part of the project will be implementing weapons for the faction.

Weapons will include.

• C1 rifle (FN FAL)
• C2 automatic Rifle (FAL Modified for the role of • Squad Automatic weapon)
• Browning Hi-Power.
• C1 Submachine Gun (Sterling SMG) need help with animations for this weapon
•M72 LAW.

Future additions will include unique player models based on the uniform worn during the time.

Marksman role will most likely not come around until I can find or make a Parker-Hale M82 rifle

Just realized that we got the mp18 so I won't need to make new animations for the sterling

Means a ww2 British faction is also on the table. So I'll see how this goes

If they add melee weapons you'd probably wanna give the assault class a club or bayonet

Actually, I was going with the following:
Officer with an M1911 (for convenience, and it's not actually ahistorical).
Rifleman with the Lee-Metford (or SMLE).
Medic with the same rifle.
Machinegunner has the Huot automatic rifle (which is ahistorical but I find it cool).
Marksman uses the Ross rifle because that's the only thing it was actually good for.

Had no plans for an Assault class though.

I use cascadeur which has to be the easiest way to learn to animate. I rigged it (took two seconds literally) and I've been creating the animations for certain frames and curving between them to fill in the gaps

This animation has lots of jittering still, I need to smooth out the curves and space some things out to make it feel more impactful but first I will be doing some other animations

mod is nearing it's first release, the only need is for the sterlings FP animations. future additions will see the M72 and P&H M82. aswell as proper third person animations for each weapon

(M40 animations BTW, almost perfect but the bone placement fucks me over)

The animation will probably stay like this for the foreseeable future because it is barely noticeable in first person. Only viable when zooming in on the scope.

Alright here are the items each squad member will have.

SL: FN C1, Hi-Power, M67, M18, Bandages.

Rifleman: FN C1, M67, M18, Bandages

Automatic Rifleman: FN C2, M67, M18, Bandages, Ammo bag

Medic: Sterling SMG, M18, bandages, med bag

AT Rifleman: Sterling SMG, M67, M18, bandages, AT-4 (not period accurate and will eventually be replaced by the M72 Law)

Marksman: parker Hale M82, Hi-Power, M67, M18, Bandages.

also just created LOD's for all custom assets so when the mod launches it should run pretty well
