the bullets come from the barrel, not sure what you mean
it already does.
... yes that is also what i mean, the bullets leave the end of the barrel, thats how its always worked
i think you're talking about something called "Height over Bore"
hes talking about the bullet leaving the center of the screen as opposed to the barrel, which it already does
basically if you have an optic thats higher than your barrel it has to be slighly angled down
if not you have to always aim a little up
and thats what most shooters forget
even with large scopes
height over bore still affects the trajectory in terms of latitude
thats related to what hes talking about, but its not what he means
oh aight
all taht is already a thing though lol
not very effective tho
not sure what you mean, the projectiles are emitted at the barrel for every weapon
period
thats just how it works
yeah but there are different variables to whether you hit true to your aim
in games like tarkov this is covered
thats not what im talking about tho
the dood who originally posted this
said if you could make the rounds sometimes miss
because rn, its kinda a skill-based game
as its meant to be lol
since gun customizing isnt a thing yet
yes but lemme introduce someting to you
it is called
le physics
lets say you're 600m from a target
pmc faction
marksman class
im well aware of how these concepts work, and how they work in game
yes but we're both talking about completely different topics as i see
you dont have to explain it, just say whatyou are talking about
basically
there are a lot of variables that have a very weak effect on the weapons in game
and almost always shoot true
and im not saying thats bad
im just saying
a scope may not always be zeroed
thats all
can you please just say what you are talking about, you are saying nothing right now lol
just the name of hte concept
not "a lot of variables"
then allow me to explain said variables
just name them
you dont have to explain them lol
for example
"bullet drop"
"windage"
Wind (both by the shooter and along the whole flight path to the target). Bullet shape and weight, trying to achieve the highest possible ballistic coefficient ("BC") Air pressure, altitude and (to a certain degree) humidity. Temperature (including air, ammunition and barrel temperature)
i have only seen this in arma with ACE mod
exactly
most of this stuff is not necessary in a game setting
really all you need is windage, yardage, and velocity that changes over distance
the rest is irrelevant for the vast majority of weapons
the things you are mentioning are mostly relevant to LRRP
its just that i was also thinking about the future maps and the opportunities they bring
