I can technically have the Bradley work without making a fancy hitbox but I wanted it to be accurate.
The Bradley isn't remotely symmetrical. The turret has all kinds of weird angles and shit on each side. Fucks sake.
Right now u can walk on it while its moving. You can also "enter" it and pilot / gun from various seats.
One day i was thinking it would be cool to walk around in the bridge. Then each weapon would have its own seat u would go up to and sit in. But that will be far in future

OHD just uses basic boxes / spheres / capsules for physics collision. for projectiles there is a separate low-poly static mesh that acts as a hitbox. that is what im making right now.

All hitbox stuff is complete. Even for the sights and all the little bits that should block bullets.
The side armor actually works as armor and degrades the penetration of incoming rounds, as do the tracks.
All the sights / hatches / bits and bobs on the turret will block bullets and degrade their penetration, however it will not damage the hull.

Some dont apply for your mod, I dont have enough playtime to go deep into feedback. That said, I did see a lot of vehicles with empty guns getting dumped everywhere, maybe empty vehicles should despawn when no one is in them.
My mod has a claiming system that can be enabled on a per-map basis. I force-disabled it for the time being cuz there is still a bit of untested shibbs. also it needed more features / changes to not be too restrictive and i didn't want people to just give up and leave the vehicles at main.

The vehicles in my mod are implemented in a completely different way. I made them ~2 years ago before vehicles were officially supported. If you see a green nametag above a vehicle and the "HOLD F TO ENTER" UI then it's part of my mod.

The vanilla vehicles are created by faction makers. I don't have much control over those. The rolling off hills when spawning, the lack of UI, the gearshifter stuffs and getting stuck constantly are all things i have addressed in my mod for the vehicles I have created.
This was just added as a feature to the mod. There is a server configurable vehicle recycle system.
Abandoned vehicles will eventually be destroyed.

Also the HABs (that are part of my mod) rearm and repair vehicles. Most people just don't realize this is a feature.
There are lots of things that people don't know are features.
I was aware of the HAB's as they were the only reasonable alternative to FOB's

cuz there are no vehicle repair stations in vanilla
i've given server admins a bunch of config settinsg to mess with on each map to cut down on the HAB spam
because 2 people who know what they are doing can fill half the map with HABs instantly. then the game becomes a big clusterfuck
also im going to add a cooldown time when a HAB first spawns in. you will not be able to spawn on the HAB after it has been placed for 30 seconds
this is to encourage people to use the vanilla outposts more and keep the HABs near the rear-line for vehicles to go and repair / re-arm.

there is no global hab 'limit', jsut a bunch of distnace restrictions that can ber changed on each map.

found out what was breaking it
something was marked as a projectile for the object type between the C4 and the vehicle and would block the explosion trace every time
so i changed it to what the mines use, which is vault, and it worked

the ammo system and dynamic cooldowns would be litty as well
don't even gotta do anything, just say how long a cooldown is and the construction system handles everything else

Right now, the HAB is really hard to kill and very easy to spawn, it would be great if desert storm airstrikes could be used to destroy it. Right now on than bin, only the US has helicopters, so they just spam HAB's next to FOB's and completely overwhelm everyone. They also dont seem to get overran when standing inside them (or is that a numbers thing?)
It should be easy to kill? Unless I fucked the damage scaling BS it should be a couple rockets to kill.
Once the roof of the HAB is gone it will "decay" and just die on it's own if not repaired.
Also the airstrikes should kill it, afaik they are just explosive damage.
For the overrunning you need like 4 people in a 50 meter radius if I remember right. The radius is huge, much larger than the Outpost radius, meaning it is more sensitive to being overrun.
For the spamming there are server settings that can be tweaked to limit how many can be placed on each map.
Hmm I guess the airstrike alone doesnt do enough to bring it down a damage state, good to know

@weary lark As far as I know, previously in the second seat of the Ka-52 helicopter the second pilot could control the helicopter. Why was this removed?
There was no UI communicating that the copilot also had control and the copilot could not disable control. It just caused people to unknowingly crash the helicopter most of the time. For it to work properly I need to add:
- The ability for the pilot to lock their controls.
- The ability for the copilot to take / release control of the helicopter.
- UI to communicate all this information.
I don't think we really need this feature. It's better to spend time on other unfinished things.

In the future when other parts of the mod are more complete then I can come back and finish the copilot control stuff.
in fact, it is better to return the anti-tank guns and not control by the 2nd pilot. I do not understand how this can be used in the game. the ka 52 does not need a second pilot on the gun, because the gun of the ka52 almost does not turn
Better finish Bradley, fix the markers on the map, and add FPV drones (do it like in the squad, so that they are unarmed and the players themselves attach IEDs to them

There were drones before but they are too op for the game right now
lack of anti-drone measures (jammers, shotguns or even AAs) makes them too unbalanced to be considered something
IMO Best short term solution would be an extremely limited range on offensive drones. But then they're not viable for anyone.
Short range drones would make everyone unhappy you can’t use them for much and they would be annoying becuase they can be spammed out from short distances away and camp Habs and vehicles
Would have to be limited ammo then as well. As rereez said, we need either an AA emplacement (vic probably) or jammers. Problem is neither is super useful outside of drones cm. Not enough air units on public servers to validate an AA vic, nothing really electronically dependent that would be nerfed by a jammer.
Honestly an observer drone would be much better IMO. Sure you can shoot them down, but they can't do much real damage UNLESS the person flying it is communicating with people.
And you won't know that until either a) you start getting prefired at the same objective or b) you can't stop getting mortared

Yes it would just be extra work as right now the AA missiles are a separate mod. There would have to be some inter-mod compatibility stuffs.

Only thing changed is HABs.
HABs will now have s 30 second period after being placed where they cannot be spawned on. In addition to this 2 people will be required in addition to SL to place a HAB instead of 1
The hab spawn delay is to stop half the team from immediately spawning on a hab the moment it is placed. This is particularly shitty when people just rush midpoint and shit out hab. Now the habs will take longer to become spawnable than a outpost (mostly) as the outposts can be built rather quickly
In future ill figure out how to make repair stations a constructable and then just disable/remove the hab/rally stuff

Yah it might be cool in the base game for their to be a base pool of constructable governed by the game mode and then another that the faction can add that can add additional. Then the wrench would pull from both pools
That way if you had something like Desert Storm mod that overhauls construction, you could just turn off your base construction stuff if they dont work well together

Keeping yoshis habs as they are and adding a 3 Hab limit if possible would be best with 3 you can have 1 on the main objective, a backup hab, and a backline repair station. The problem with vanilla habs is people take the logi and dump them behind enemy lines and for the opfor sides you can friendly fire the logis so people kill all the vanilla vehicles in their spawn and none can spawn to replace them

I think it would be a good idea to give grass or camouflage net as camouflage for vehicles

I believe that's a little bird. Usually a 4-6 seater helicopter with either 2x12 hydra pods or gun pods on the hard points. Light air transport vics would be cool but judging by the responses I've gotten from sly these would definitely lag the server in bulk.

- "Spawn Vehicles" checkbox in Apollo map settings has been renamed to "Enable Mod Vehicles"
- Added "Enable Vanilla Vehicles" to enable / disable all vanilla vehicles from existing / spawning.
- Added fallback setting for automatic vehicle spawn system to use the
HDVehicleSpawnerblueprints placed by map creators if not enough spawn points are generated.
The local-VOIP bug is still an issue in the current vanilla game, however many edge cases have been covered and it should happen much less often now. I will have to see how prevalent the local-VOIP bug is when using my mod vehicles and fix it.

About bugs: 1. After exiting vehicles sometimes kit items disappear, not even turning red. 2. Between death and life state bug is still there, when dying in vehicles body icon turns red, and leaving game is the solution to redeploy.
And using high DPI of mouse in gunner sensitivity inside vehicles is still OP

The items disappearning I think I know what ur talking about and can fix. How often does this second issue happen to you? I cannot for the life of me reproduce it in-game. I know there is some scuffed shit when you die inside a vehicle, where your deploy menu can be closed and your camera is stuck where you died. In this state you can just open up the deploy menu again and redeploy. I know of some issues when exiting vehicles the moment they die, I'll probably have to fix those.
Sad truth is that the logi truck was mine, I didnt put it there 🥹
When I get my own server logi truck stealers will get death penalty 🙂
I thought it was a very rare occurrence and I wouldn't have to deal with it once we get vehicles in vanilla. But it's been a year now and I still cannot use the vanilla vehicles, so I guess it's time to fix these issues.

I think is better if sometimes get to fast then too slow in the curent status of player base. This is only happen when only one team is placing HABs. If boths teams are making them you use got long and intesvie fight, thats how should be.
Trying to limiting the HABs now it would be not smartest move. Especially since we will soon add the Kusmich maps

This isn't "OP". That's just people having high sensitivity. Every turret has it's own max rotation speed in degrees per second. High DPI or not, you cannot turn the turret faster than the limit. With high DPI it's just easier to move around with your mouse as the turret is always rotating at or near it's max rotation speed.
One thing I could do is have some sort of acceleration limit on the turret traverse speed. This way they can't instantly hit max rotation speed from high DPI or just using WASD. I know other games do that and honestly it feels really bad / weird.
Maybe just make the max rotation speed from mouse movement less then the rotation speed of wasd keys
So mouse movement can’t possibly rotate at the same speed as wasd and therefore high dpi can’t give you an advantage
I'd rather just probably limit the acceleration a little bit instead of adding two separate speeds.
So you can't spam A/D or spike DPI and have the turret instantly go left/right

spiking DPI basically gives high sensitivity, I don't see much of an issue if the traverse limits are always respected.
It'd probably just give a more consistent gameplay loop across different dpi's. Like everyone would have to use wasd keys to move turret quickly and mouse to make minor adjustments, instead of being able to get around it with using a high dpi mouse as the sole input.

Unless mouse movement can bring the rotation speed above the wasd rotation speed, in which case I think it is an issue
The WASD keys are for convenience. Forcing people to use WASD for coarse adjustments and then mouse for minor isn't something I want to do.

I think the issue is whole vehicle sensitivity. Turret rotation is nice addition but some people have no idea how to WASD turrets. Infantry look sensitivity feels very sluggish inside vehicles like it’s 9x slower. I jump from 1200 to 9000 DPI to properly aim inside vehicles because it takes too much mousepad space for simplest turns. It’s also not optimal sensitivity range, esports pros use 20-60 cm per 360 degree turn sensitivities. My sens is 27,2727 cm per 360. 8-9x of that is entire 216 cm per 360.
Balancing speed is important. Right now it’s sometimes fair, but then there’s stealth HAB backcap spam with 1 vehicle or chopper. That completely wrecks positioning and the only victorious option is to redeploy by half a team that already positioned near enemy sword flag. There are unfair spikes in gameplay speed that can easily be exploited
You can spam HABs in vanilla wherever you want, on yoshi mod we at least stoping them already
Is it very hard to find balance because on some server you can get smarter people and on the other not.
Second issue of getting stuck in half-dead state happens just when dying in vehicles. Maybe every 3-7 matches depending on vehicle usage frequency. It feels like got stuck underground a bit like ostrich near vehicle. Maybe with gunner seat is more likely for this to happen, not sure. It might be netcode issue, something weird in vanilla caused rifle mags overloading and underloading before. If only redeploy button worked in such state instead of being required to leave (I might be wrong if you fixed it recently, I left game to redeploy out of habit)
Yes vanilla is even more Wild West for HAB spam. Trimming the spikes of speed could improve things
You talking about know bugs, this version of the mod was hotfix only to make a work at least.
There are times where the deploy menu will close and it will appear as if you are "stuck" in your character where you died. You should be able to just click "m" to open the deploy menu again and respawn.
There is some scuff with the UI and stuff when players die.
Delay is nice. More careful antispam limits can prevent spam, not sure which ones should be. Gamemode speed and tickets impact changes play huge role
I could of sworn I fixed one of the issues where you straight up could not respawn or do anything. You really had to reconnect to the server. That was a long time ago.

Yoshi maybe the fps drops not because of the vanilla transport and your mod, but the problem is in your mod. right now I play on a server where there is no vanilla transport and sometimes my fps still drops very strongly

The vanilla vehicles were not removed because of FPS problems they were removed because of severe rubber-banding (network problems)
Yes, the 5 fps issue its happen samtimes, but if got server rubberbanding that won't pass until few people leave the server.
If you ask me, I preffer 5 fps then rubberbanding because the first one I know it will pass quick.
Try to remember, you will never get fps drops and rubberbanding if the server is half empty.

Yoshi there is a bug with the LAV where if you flip the vehicle you can’t exit because "all exits are blocked" and you also can’t redeploy for some reasons so you’re completely stuck inside the flipped vehicle
The bugs are well known, the mod was just get hotfix so that it could be played at all, after the game update, the mod requires more work to polish everything.
I'll probably just adjust / add some more exit points to that one.
Also not being able to respawn is an issue. Might fix one day idk it's just an annoying UI thing.

I just witnessed Rus helicopter lagging and there was someone with 540 ping on scoreboard. When shooting that heli my game lagged. And when it was flying it dropped fps to 18 with rubberbanding lags, it could be the reason. Not sure.
