Yeah, vehicle respawn timers isn't a fun way to balance things. Just keep it at 1 or 2 minutes tops
Increase or decrease ticket costs instead
+15 min waiting for initial spanw
+10 min to get to front line
+5 min to unstuck halfway cuz driver hit a pebble
+10 min to finally get to front line
- .5 min to get 2 shot by 2 HATs
- 0 min to ALT-F4.
having vics be on the battfiled 247 is not fun cant even have normal infintry gameplay with out an MRAP or BTR killing yer whole team
- Run over an invisible mine right outside of main after respawning

Have a realistic damage model and all you need is one well placed LAT, or a close burst from an MMG
ya i think the only way to make this fun is to make it like battlefield, and even then in battlefield they are too strong lmao. you would need to have it so that it's basically just an augment to being a foot soldier and anyone can 1v1 or 1v2 you if they are good enough.
Squad creates this problem by making hull health too much
And if you can damage optics with small arms like in real life, then you have other options
you know ironically that's how the vics were in my mod. realistic health, components would damage / immobilize / kill vics. and everybody bitched cuz they couldn't yeet into infantry and be invincible.

Can you adjust the squad creating UI? like allowing people to name their squad, the "INF MIC" squads always go hard asf on Project Reality
And if you want fun stuff for vehicles like thermals and a decent FCS, you need components to be fragile
but some do raise a point that it encourages vics to just sit on the edge of the map. it's not a bad thing but with the current skill issue the playerbase has it just becomes infantry farming simulator and the infantry ,which is most of the lobby just do not like that.

Nah, no fobs or resources in main imo. Have them bring it from off-map depots to the RPs (resupply point) or FOBs.
This way enemy team is encourage to destroy the fobs and stuff more

Those are optics im talking about lasing to get a target distance. They are not on all the time giving range info. You explicilty have to turn it on to lase something then you turn it off. Not only is it bad for the lifespan of the laser to be on all the time putting a laser on a target will give your position away.

collumation of light in the real world is very difficult unless you have a lot of power (like a tank's turbine, or an aircraft APU)

so directed light as a weapon, even a blinder, is kinda hard at ranges over a kilometer
You end up with the same "spotlight" problem they had looking up at the sky during air raids
if the cone is too wide, the objects won't be lit up, if the cone is too narrow it will be too hard to track objects

Cuz a fancy fcs would mean in some tanks you barely have to point and click
- even with helis it just breaks the game. The heli optics are like half their irl range. The missiles are 1/4 to 1/3 of irl range. Also buildings and shibbs doesnt render right at far istance so you just get wallhacks
Not only that without increasing the net cull distance of the player you dont even see players at over a click

Offline training/tutorial/campaign for various vehicles. Then I can add a toggle for server owners to require said training / offline play to drive a vehicle or helicopter.
Like it will be off by default.
Because from a gameplay and a "muh realism" standpoint it's not good/realistic to let any Joe Shmoe fly a helicopter with half the lobby as passengers only to crash it after 15 seconds because it's the first time he has flown before.

if there was a way to dump the ai down when in vics so they dont aim bot you across the map then it be a cool update to have
just find bots have hacks on sometimes
Easy, just add an offset to the looking position varying from 0.5 to 1.0 meters. Offset multiplier is updated every second.

3rd cam in vics ? not on foot
i feel like it does have a slight gameplay impact because your camera isn't floating somewhere around your 3p mesh head. your camera is attached to your 3p mesh head.
so if you can see someone they can see your head
cuts down on the weird head glitching / getting shot behind cover cuz your head was sticking out but your camera was much lower

I think the 3rd camera was requesting for to see and not be seen. lol

Add call signs for vehicles according to their squad and what vehicles was occupied. By type, the alpha squad occupied 1 transport truck and it will be called succinctly “Alpha 1-1” if this is the first transport occupied by them, and if for example it is the fourth or third then 3-1 or 4-1, as well as 3-2 4-2, etc. by numbering if several types of vehicles were taken earlier, and trucks now
