usually with kit restriction enabled there wont be that many rpg users
the server we were on had no kit restriction lol so everyone used rpg kit
that's the thing i've been playing on servers with kit restrictions and people have learned to just clump around a rifleman and get infinite RPGs
without kit restrictions it's even easier and you don't need any teamwork.
make it like PR where the ammo bag is not infinite but finite
that's the problem i would have to fuck with the faction ammo bags

IRL i think a LAV is really the only thing that might be able to take an RPG, and that is only from the front.
APCs and IFVs are rated for usually .50/14.5mm all round and usually 20-30mm in the front if they are really armoured.
Not HEAT warheads that have like 400mm RHA penetration
i think for now the vehicle are good enough to be enjoyble
its difficult to think of a perfect formula but im having alot of fun lol

I was thinking of making them +1 more hit maybe, and I was also thinking of adding a burning state where it's on fire for a few seconds before it dies giving you a chance to get out.

Only Squad Leaders can unflip, and In public server where almost everyone got iq of room temperature, they won't bother doing teamwork and calling a Squad lead.

Vanilla map or modded map?
I think the vehicles are fine where they are at, just it needs some more info do that people use more of the vehicles
1 vehicle armies aren't fun
But 6 or 7 vehicles running around the map that are much weaker is good
I think also unrealistically raising the front protection on vehicles might help, so each vehicle is at least a two or 3 hit from the front, but then keep the same low protection on the sides and back so that skilled drivers can keep in the fight longer

You could add different types of kills into the mod. For example, instead of just having catastrophic kills, you could also have firepower and mobility kills. This would solve some of the issues surrounding rpgs.

Just focus on your own stuff, you canโt account for the balance of every other mod. Let server owners worry about balance. Your job is creating features for vehicles, if factions have tool that create imbalances then that is the factions mods issue
Iโd be very incremental with adding features to the claiming system, it seems like itโs a system thatโs difficult to predict how players will behave with it. If you add 20 new changes to it, it will be hard to isolate which feature is causing issues.

also i can imagine when they implement FOB and Ammo boxes , the riffleman ammo will prob be limited

i could implement my own ammo system since I already have HABs and rallies, but I would then have to go in and dynamically alter the faction's items and remove ammo bags. Plus also with the modded items people could make their own bespoke ammo bags that I have no way of accounting for depression.

It'd probably be much better if you worked with just a few faction creators on making it design compatible with theirs instead of trying to make a janky general solution. I guess you could try to make a compatibility guide on how people could design their factions around your mod

What this means:?- unassigned

if you are not in a squad. normally only happens when you join a squad to enter a vehicle, then you leave said squad.
they just get the lowest priority
so if the vic is full the first dude who isn't in a squad anymore is getting his ass booted

ok and then what does blueberry mean, bcs technically everybody is blueberry (on map)
blueberry is just another teammate that is in a squad
blueberry usually just means "someone who's not in your squad".
if a teammate is not in a squad, they are unassigned
that way i can give them lower priority for all the vehicle stuff
this also means blueberries can kick out unassighed people from a vehicle

(i ask because i doubt it, and it might be interesting to account for it for the game modes overall , like having the overlap event and player count be in BP and easily modifiable )

@weary lark i found a bug, when the vehicle is flipped 180 on its back, when we get out we fall through the sandbox
it's a bridge, so it would help in a map where a normal bridge already exists but it is damaged so this vehicle is gonna replace the missing section of the bridge to be able to cross it, just like a mission in the OG mw 2 campaign

Not sure if you meant turn out or move your view to the viewport. RO2 did armor well, their system had working periscopes and viewports, you'd look directly at it, a little eye icon would pop up, you'd hit F and then your view would switch to looking out of it. The main problem is that you need full interiors of all vehicles which is a sea of work.

Should implement a command post APC (holds 4) at some point that can drop Habs.
My suggestion is the hab is only spawnable if the CP is within a 40m radius or Smth.
Then you can have limited CP vehicles per team, make them use instead of radios and then have radius limits where Habs can't be placed in relation to each other.
Gameplay being if you don't want a fob to be spawned on because you're moving up, then move the vehicle.
And if CP vehicle is destroyed then the Hab can't be spawn on

Because the LAV has 700 health.
Also the damage you will be doing won't get scaled by any of the vehicle logic.
So if you apply 100 damage, it will always do 100 damage.
i scale it on my end, so that part isnt a concern, i just have to run different code depending on if I hit a vehicle, but i need a way to 100% detect a vehicle

gotta love when things work differently in the editor, even in standalone mode, and the actual game
there were some values in the save games that weren't being saved
they were always defaulted
i think it's cuz the editor and the actual game use the same save game folder, so the game was reading save files that the editor saved
and there might be some version differences between the BPs in the editor and the cooked BPs in the mod
the editor use saves games inside the /Saved folder inside the editor
iirc, so different from the actual game
My guess, and was prob happening to @sturdy flax also, was that you somehow messed up the logic of the save file handling, loading it saving it.
nah cuz when i opened the real game i had all the save settings that i configured in the editor
it's pita because of the format, the .sav and you cant read it using a simple text editor,
But ive used it pretty often and never had any inconsistencies
my save stuff worked but the intended logic would go out of sync
I fixed it without touching the loading / saving logic

Escape : if the engine / ammo storage / wheels-tracks are hit and endomaged, vehicle is slowed but can move , smoke , and try to repair to get away at 80% speed (still need to go to main to go to 100%)

i think only Hat should be able to one shot smaller vehics , and only well placed shots on components
you know what i would make a Excel spreadsheet with all the vehics and values + screenshots of the components location

Can you tie reverse to a bindable key? Being in 4th gear in a panic, hitting a tree and having to slowly tappity tap tap through gears to get to reverse is braindamage, as well as unrealistic.

When I aim down sights, my camera zooms in a little, then goes back to normal.
It is kinda annoying tbh

But it zooms automaticaly? When I press shift nothing happens

it's not bound to any key. it zooms when you try to sprint when you are in ADS. idk if you have toggle sprint or something
