It's best to see how it plays out with more players and updates. The direction of OHD core sounds like it is toward larger maps, combined arms, and a situation where you just aren't spaming them at tightly grouped infantry as you may be imagining.

Consider that mechanics such as arming distance, firing delay, etc (not necessarily, just off hand examples) could be used to make the weapon less of a "noob tube" and more toward a situational utility, both taking out vehicles and infantry that is dug in.

I understand that, I am simply comparing the current mechanic of it with Squad and HLL. My point is that in comparison with other military realistic games the rpgs in this game give the impression that even on long range they shoot almost strait, maybe at least, add to the scopes a zeroing system that need to be used when firing.

#

anyhow, the other guns have a very good feeling and I think that the classes are pretty well balanced for early access

#

The real example that I experience in the game with rpgs, I was able to easily shoot a sniper with it from around 300-400m.

Ultimately, before using Squad or HLL for comparison, I would want to know how they got their numbers before doing so, because both games are military abstraction to me, not military simulation, meaning they may be using some real numbers mixed with scaling - and I don't know what OHD core's plan in that regard is.

Regardless, if there is zero drop, yeah, makes sense to me to add it, but someone has to make the design calls, and whether adding a rough guess, exaggerated amount, or leaving it alone to handle other things first is the right call, I don't know.

#

The irons are considered effective at those ranges, but yes I assume with zeroing, which isn't in the game yet, so that may be an intended work around.

#

I think if you started the title with that reasoning it might have been received better because I agree, but I would also probably leave it as is until zeroing gets added.

rocket speeds should be set to roughly their IRL counterparts, so they should be doing about that. we dont slow them down just cuz, if they shoot that fast, they shoot that fast.

#

they do have drop

you just might not be shooting them far enough to see it
