I am currently working on a project that somewhat recreates Battlefield 2 in OHD. Currently looking for some people to work on blueprints (which the custom gamemode in question would be Conquest), models, animations, and whatnot for this total conversion mod for the game. I haven't considered the expansion, and the 2 booster packs into consideration yet, since that would be overly ambitious for me (it's already overly ambitious for one guy to begin with lmao), but I am wanting to make this a reality because of how much nostalgia I have for Battlefield 2 in general. As far as any releases are concerned, I don't want to release the map as soon as I am done with it, as I want the things surrounding it that I am not capable of doing, e.g. making models, and doing blueprints for the gamemode, possible in the game. The release version 0.1.0 would contain:
- 1 map (Gulf of Oman, 16 player variant)
- 2 Factions (USMC, and MEC)
- 4 weapons (AK101, M16A2, M9, and MR-444, will consider adding all weapons to these 2 factions if there is more interest)
- 1 gamemode: Conquest (Works in the same league as Ravenfield's Battle mode, except battalions aren't in the mix)
- 4 Vehicles (Humvee, M1A2 Abrams, T-90, and Vodnik)
I don't really think AAS will work well with Oman, because it would be kind of a mess with it, but considering that modes like Conquest will take an extra amount of time, I can be patient with such, especially since I have a job. I will keep updating the map with more stuff, but after that, I will be looking for people to help make this a reality.
