have you played Squad Z (i bet you did )
i loved when you had to move through the map, best mp gaming experiences.
It would be awesome to replicate this : heavy fog, PvP Zombie vs players. Extraction mission was the mode i liked.
But here for the VIP , it would be nice to have to extract the VIP and have to protect him.
And ofc prison break gamemode make me think of CS hostage
working on it. anyone have ideas they want to throw me. or want help with what i have figured out so far. let me know

I can put some notes and suggestions here for when we get farther into it but basically…
- Remove all flags/spawns other than blufor base and opfor base.
- Designate a cube “area” on the map (could maybe even have multiple random ones for higher replay ability) and have a single blufor player spawn there. How this happens could possibly be random, or you could have a player volunteer for it by interacting with a button at blufor base idk. Honestly might even be a perfect role for a bot at some point… but anyways…
- While the player is in the cube area, he is immortal (or if you want to leave him not immortal, just make it so opfor loses if he dies while in the cube) but if he leaves the cube and dies, opfor wins. Blufor wins if he leaves the cube and makes it to blufor base alive
That’s basically it… that’s the entire scenario sundays mode

just occurred to me how perfect the AI could be for this though
thats pretty much what i had in my head.
what do you think about making it round based. one life. no respawning. maybe even put a timer in play.
literally just make it like counter strike

yeah thats what i was thinking. whoever walks up can command him to follow or wait.
terrorists can move them to different locations if they wanted to.
the logic is already in there for that, AI already have follow functionality for squad leaders
I'm not sure if choosing a prisoner randomly would be a good idea tho
should be voluntary
since it needs to be for someone who is cool with just being bored lol
although tbh I love being the prisoner
especially when I try to escape early lol
right would just need to setup a trigger. maybe make whoever triggers the event a fake squad leader or something temporarily

I've already talked with the team about changing the default UI to support multiple teams better in the future

i just wasn't sure if there was a good way of limiting the team size

i just did it because i ABSOLUTELY need it
something modular so that way it doesn't get in the way of modes like this

yeah i was a bit sad that most of the stuff was anim/sound/ (alright AI not shooting through smoke is cool, and the start of formation also)

i have watched your yt on and off for years and just heard about ohd about a month ago
and it will make waffles
its literally just as open as gmod, if not more so
and the biggest problem with squad modding imo is that you can't test your mods unless you have people
but with our bots
not only are they great cannon fodder for singleplayer
listen
but they use the exact same player controller as players do
so you can literally use them
for testing your mods
without having to constantly yell at people to come and join a server
it's legit fun running around in single player with a ton of bots
makes a huge difference imo

but it's hard and i dont have all the knowledge to respond to drama
I think its gonna be a slow conversion

that aren't really in the squad community

all i know is. i don't fanboy over anything. but i have never felt so much potential in a game before. i can literally imagine doing anything in it. especially once we have MP vehicles working

with good modders. or official game modes it could replace arma/squad/hell let loose.

so honestly I think this is the best time for us to be at where we're at
