Setting the character avatar (especially for new players) can be a suitable way to gather liveliness to the experience of the game. With the wide variety of items available in the appearance section, I would say there is some development, but still, I believe there is a lot of room for evolution.

Let's keep this short and sweet:

  1. A temporary display where what your character would look like wearing different items, this would also display the character sideways while simultaneously top-to-down.

  2. A reasonable price for the cosmetics, I suggest adding different levels for more expensive ones, rather than putting them all together.

For clothing (for example beanies, caps, sweaters can be added later, hoodies, goggles, masks) the price would be affordable, for basic helmets a bit more expensive, for more fancy stuff (night vision, radio bla bla bla) would be a bit more expensive. And then comes the tactical helmets which are sometimes inspired by the standard issue gear they give in militaries worldwide. This same idea applies to torso items also.

  1. Optional suggestion: footwear, hopefully, there will be new animations for the character when walking/running or crouching, which gives the opportunity to add footwear. (Sandals, boots, or barefoot).

  2. More items to check out overall, thus giving more bursts of dopamine to players seeing their future character with some drip.

  3. Occasional perks for survival when it comes to battle attire (no plate kevlar, plated kevlar for moderate protection, and hard plated kevlar for maximum protection). Basically more varieties of armor = the better.

Bonus suggestion: The character avatar doesn't rest after prestiging. Maybe add a level system to the cosmetics without the shards reward so that the reset will be less vexatious.
