#Accessibility Suggestion for Horror-Sensitive Players

Hi developers,

First of all, I really love the atmosphere and world design of The Last Caretaker. The ocean setting, abandoned facilities, and mysterious tone are incredibly immersive.

That said, I wanted to share some feedback regarding the horror and creature presentation.

Some players, including myself, are sensitive to certain types of visuals and encounters — especially bug-like creatures, slime/parasitic designs, and sudden appearances in tight spaces such as vents or dark corridors. While tension and suspense are an important part of the game, these moments can sometimes become overwhelming rather than exciting.

Would you consider adding optional accessibility settings in the future, such as:

Reduced jump scare intensity
Less aggressive surprise encounters
Alternative creature visuals for insect-like enemies
Brightness/visibility assistance in dark interior areas
A “reduced horror” or “comfort exploration” mode

I think options like these could help more players enjoy the game’s world and story without removing the intended atmosphere for players who enjoy stronger horror elements.

Thank you for continuing to develop the game and for listening to community feedback.

Any jumpscares in this game besides the puzzle.

This is just called a 'dificulty' setting.

I know it’s not really a jumpscare game

But being surrounded by those black bug-like creatures in the deep ocean genuinely scares me, and things suddenly appearing from vents/corridors still make me panic a bit.

I’m just a coward who still wants to enjoy this awesome game too
