This feels like a bug, or at the very least, possibly unintentional. If you remove a seed from the vault, and then put it back in, the seed timer resets. I have attached a video.

Why do you think it's a bug? It feels intentional to me.

what, that's how it as always worked.
You put it back in the fridge and it reset, pretty useful when you find seed floating in the water, you can then move them there and keep them until you need them.
