I'm also getting this and cannot resolve it with the suggested troubleshooting steps
Was this resolved?
This issue is not likely game related. Memory access issues can by symptoms of failing ram, overly aggressive anti-virus, malware, overclocking, faulty GPU drivers, incorrect BIOS settings. Only in rare instances is it game code or game corruption.
If you have a Nvidia GPU with over 4GB of video ram, check to see if you have "Resizable Bar" or "4G Support" enabled in your BIOS. It allows your motherboard to see and utilize you GPU's onboard memory above 4 gigabytes.
If you have a Nvidia GPU, I have assisted a few Caretakers with checking their BIOS, GPU and game settings to get a better experience. Let me know if you have time this week to meet in one of the voice-chat-# channels to review your settings.
Yeah I understand what you're getting at, but that's definitely not my issue. This is the only game that crashes out like this and I'm running a 9070 XT and 9600X with 32GB RAM. The game ran fine till I hit the first POI out of the starter dock.
I've run through the noraytracing and deleting files support pages. I've rolled drivers back too
Is there a bios guide? I'm a techy I'm happy to run through a guide on my own but I appreciate the offer
I don't have a BIOS guide, but google "bios resizable bar" and "resizable bar AMD" you should find where the setting is for your motherboard and in your AMD GPU controls. Just last night I walked a Caretaker with a Nvidia 3080 with 16GB of VRAM through finding and enabling it in their BIOS and it made a huge difference. During that session they shared screen and launched Star Citizen, which they said was almost unplayable, and were ecstatic by the framerate, experience and stability.
I'll check it out and report back, thanks
Unfortunately it was already enabled
Is this a saved file corruption issue? It seems to get worse and worse and then I restore a saved file back-up and I can play for a few minutes then crash again
Everytime the beacon is ready to be activated it turns to custard
Can I crash a save putting solar panels in the front of my ship?
That could be tested. If you uploaded your sav file here, someone may test it and see if it causes their system to crash. That would at least rule out sav file vs pc
