I have spent about 5 hours collectging and fixing the launch pad and its buildings. I was almost done and went back to my ship at the entrance then get some supplies run back to the elevator and then to the cross elevator and the game goes to a crawl and takes 15 minutes to load the middle part of the station.

Nope that didnt help i had to wait 15 minutes for the site to reload when i was on the cross elevator
had the same problem when i engaged the hawks in alpha warehouse
