After the update today, the average speed of my ship went from 40 km/h to about a 19 km/h. I'm not sure if this was intended, but it almost makes it unplayable for me.

Playing now. Speed won't go past 15 MPh. Occasionally it hits 17 but it's only for a fraction of a second. I REALLY don't want to disassemble my entire ship and re-assemble it. Not sure what happened...

Check your engines, I got issue when my upgrades just disconnect from engine and was on floor

Steam comments are full of this one. I've got same issue. upgraded engines and speed fluctuates from 6 - 20. Nothing more. Severely affected by swells. Actually slower in calmer water than during a storm.

i hope we get an update soon - i saw they updated the graphics for the electric upgrade 2. maybe an error there. did somebody test if this persist with all upgrades? i will test this later - hope we dont have to wait a month for this fix.

This at least had a couple comments from devs. It's a major problem.

what i find odd is i have 40 km so it not a "general" issue but some player have it some have not.

Same for me , low speed and It feels like my boat is hitting shallow water when it goes over a wave, and my boat doesn’t go straight anymore if I let go of the wheel

however even i miss 7 km of speed of course.
the devs are aware of this we will likely see a hotfix soon to fix it
so a hotfix for a hotfix 😉

oh, i found this problem. its an placed part. by me it was a container bugged in the front of the ship. i lift the containers in my ship and it works.
