Finding the right drop ship is painfull. Can either despawn them after empty or let us deconstruct them somehow. Alternatively give us an indicator light if a drop pod contains items.

I find it easiest to mark the ones on map that are there before I launch then go to the one that’s not after

A lot of people also build something on top to signal it as 'finished.' Eventually we'll need a way to sink or recycle them, though.
